Willkommen zu Schuftsburg!

Schuftsburg, Caryton: Population 29,059.
Nestled in the west of the Western Authority, snugly in the center of Arden County. The plains are very arid here, and some swaths of land often give way to xeric shrublands and sparse sprinklings of the only desert-like conditions in the country. Despite the hardiness of the grasslands here, Schuftsburg has long stood as a historical beacon of tradition and an enclave of German culture in Caryton, even standing the test of the Altan regime and the nations that came before even that. Today, Schuftsburg is an off-the-beaten-path tourist favorite for those who love Germanic culture or good food, and it's aspirations to host WorldVision's centennial are lofty.

Arrival by plane will take you through Georgine Int'l Airport to Lavonne Regional Airport, then it's a one-and-a-half hour drive to Schuftsburg. For a cozier travel experience, book a week in advance and take the Arden River Steamboat Tour.

Schuftsburg is not just any small town, it is a warm and hospitable community isolated from the rest of the world by miles of dry plains and rocky terrain. However, once you brave the desert and remoteness- you will find rolling peach orchards, cherry-red barns, and a bustling main street complete with strudel and square dancing. Here, peach cider and ginger ale replace beer in temperance bars throughout the city due to the Prohibition Act. However, the lack of alcohol means the citizens of Schuftsburg get creative in their relaxing, kicking their legs high to the tune of polka and the taste of warm strudel.

Enjoy the culture and cleanliness of Main Street.

Image
The country skies over Schuftsburg are truly stunning.

Image
Hike the badlands, where plains meet desert.

Image
Take in the unique culture of Schuftsburg. Dance with traditionally-dressed residents and enjoy authentic German food.

Image
Stay in the myriad of authentic German-style inns! Comfortable, warm, and cinnamon-scented venues will await you. Schuftsburg is used to tourism, so all guests will be accommodated somehow.

The Staging

The venue for WorldVision 100 will be held in a center specially designed for the competition. A massive marquee tent will be provided for the occasion, fit with LED screens, limited pyrotechnics, and lighting. The total seating is estimated to be around 3,000 people within the tent. Outside-tent seating is available for 2,000 more people facing the stage in an arc, with screens and immersive sound systems to ensure that no seat is a bad seat. Concessions stands will be serving piping hot Schuftsburg faves around the clock for the duration of the concert. Ensure that you comply with Carytonic laws prohibiting all forms of recreational substances or immodest items. Mounted police will be on standby.

Image
The total seating is just about 5,000 people, with 3,000 being "in-house" seats. Special front-row seats are reserved for dignitaries, and a box area for commentators is provided.

The Host

The host of the Schuftsburg bid will be Karl Adams, regional newscaster. He has 8 years of experience under his belt and is willing to provide commentary for the show.

The Graphics

The scoreboard will be released at the end of the show, with the same blue and yellow floral bavarian thematics.

Individual postcards will feature a floral wreath matching the nation's core colors and their song data.

FRG regrets to report that the lead guitarist of Da Emberi Mans, Arló Vandegraaf, has been involved in a drunk driving collision in Suburban Kirha. Vandegraaf was unharmed, but the occupant of the other vehicle was seriously injured. Vandegraaf failed a breathalyzer test, was charged with Felony DUI and is currently being held in Nór Kirha Prison awaiting a trial date. Unfortunately, due to Vandegraaf being unable to appear, and the rest of the band staying behind to prepare for trial, Da Emberi Mans have voluntarily withdrawn from Worldvision 100. They apologize to our fans in Flusia and hope to have better luck next time around.
UPDATE: FlusiaVision song contest third place finisher Anya Werner has been announced as the artist Flusia will send to Worldvision in place of Da Emberi Mans. See original post for song details.

Ertzei Kishim Confirms for WV100: Melis Bileh Makes Her Return With "Fire In The Fight"

Rumours of a Kishraeli national final were quashed today, as HARESHET stole a march on its fellow broadcasters by announcing their song and entrant early, reportedly submitting the relevant paperwork simultaneously, meaning the song cannot, and will not, change. The lucky hopeful who received the honour of representing the country is former participants Melis Bileh, who, in the 98th edition of the contest, earned a respectable 7th place with her song 'Judas'. While the result for the country was middling, the song's commercial success, both domestically and abroad led HARESHET to explore the possibility of her competing again. Produced by the same team behind Judas, "Fire In The Fight" is an upbeat, danceable pop-song with immediate impact, which HARESHET believes will give the country its best shot of success in what is arguably the most important edition of the content ever. You can listen to Fire In The Fight below.

Odds

Postby Besen » Tue Jun 14, 2022 1:05 pm

wvworld.com

For the first time since Worldvision 65 (yes, 35 editions), wvworld has begun compiling winning odds for each of the participants of the 100th Worldvision Song Contest. Although it's quite early for predictions, we already have a few songs and artists for each nation, and soon national final winners will be announced. As well as this, we can get a pretty good idea for the eventual placings by the history of the participants in the contest, and the potential that they have to improve on their previous results. We would like to say that we have learned a lot from the mistakes of the betting process for WV65, which ultimately was not as accurate as hoped - whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you.

13/06/22
Launch

The first set of odds are always the most speculative and most based on the last edition/the most successful nations of previous contests. As the contest gets closer, we may see a clear frontrunner emerge, or it could be still just as close as it currently is. Let's see.

A few words about some interesting entries into the top 10...

Britonisea
The winners of last edition have returned to become an early favourite amongst the bookies. With their entry being the close runner up of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2022, losing to the eventual winner of WorldVision 99 by a mere 2 points, the entry has shown to be popular amongst the international audience. With recent results being so positive for Britonisea, it's clear that they may just take it home yet again.

Malta Comino Gozo
5 time WorldVision winner, Malta Comino Gozo has become the second favourite, their song since release having received positive feedback, and their promo being underway. With a strong track record they also could be one of the favourites towards the end to take the trophy for the 6th time.

Izmedu
Another nation with a strong track record, though they haven’t released a song, bookmakers are naturally drawn to this nation due to their history in the contest, and their reputation for consistent quality throughout the years. One to watch definitely, even this early.

Carrelie
A strong national selection for the 100th contest, with recent strong results, bookmakers have their eye on this nation, and believe that their potential is rising every time they compete on the Worldvision stage, let's hope they'll be very happy, even if pressured.

Zwangzug
A nation originating from the very first WorldVision, anticipation has certainly built for this veteran participant. Having not participated in 60 editions since the last participation in Best Of Edition, Zwangzug has a legacy as old as WorldVision itself. Bookies are excited to see what they will bring to the competition, and if they can keep up with the newbies that have arrived since their heyday. So far, we are confident that they will be able to.

Togonistan returns for the 100th edition of WorldVision Song Contest

Image
Drassen-based group Titan Fang will represent Togonistan in WV100

Togonistani WorldVision broadcaster TNTV announced today that the island nation will make a return for the 100th edition of WorldVision Song Contest to celebrate the golden number. ''It is amazing how over the years, the show has grown into what it has become today. We want to be part of this festive, where WorldVision celebrates it's 100-edition anniversary,'' Mila Taufamoana, TNTV's Program Director commented on the decision. Togonistan's participation in WV100 marks the nation's return to the show for the first time since the 74th contest, after which TNTV stopped their participation due to low public interest. It was also announced that Titan Fang, a powermetal band originating from Drassen, will be representing Togonistan in the show with their song ''Vampires Are Alive''

This edition of Worldvision comes after a top-10 finish for Polkopia at WV99, after folk-EDM group, SKYUE, brought the silver medal to the nation, singing the song, Uspankova, in Carrelie. Following Polkopia's success in the contest, the nation's primary public broadcasting network, the PNB, will continue to claim broadcasting rights over the Worldvision Song Contest. In order to select their entry, the PNB has opted to continue the tradition of using a National Final in order to determine Polkopia's entrant for this edition of the contest. It should come as a surprise to no one that this National Final will once again take place in the form of the Landa vy Polkopiya, which has served as the National Final for Polkopia for decades and is one of Polkopia's longest-running TV shows. The contest dates back to 1972, where the winner of the competition received a cash price and was flown to Peeto in order to record more tracks with an established Polkopian record label. Of course, times in Polkopia are much different now, and apart from exposure on several media platforms, the winner of the Landa vy Polkopiya typically has the opportunity to represent Polkopia in the Worldvision Song Contest.

This edition of the Landa vy Polkopiya will have a twist, however. In celebration for the 100th edition of Worldvision, the contest will feature a "Newbies vs. Veterans" theme. The contest will still feature two semi-finals, however one semi final will feature songs sent in previous editions of the contest, whereas the other semi final will feature brand new, original songs. Two songs from each semi final will advance to the Grand Final, along with one Wildcard, and the winning entry will have the option to represent Polkopia in this very special edition of Worldvision!

The lineup for this edition of the Landa vy Polkopiya has been revealed! As always, the PNB is calling on international juries to submit their votes before the conclusion of the semi-finals, and this result will be mixed with a televote in a 50/50 format in order to calculate the overall winner of the competition. The list of competing entries can be found below:
