I’ll give a bit of a note as to Varic, as I feel like I need to explain some things. He is 28 years old, a prodigy in his field, and yes, does have a doctorate’s degree. Although this is easier to come by in Mirian colleges (Bachelors degrees take four years on average, Masters degrees take another four, but doctorates only take about four years as opposed to the eight on average IRL within the USA.), Varic received his bachelor’s degree upon high school (secondary school) graduation due to his activities and courses he took.

Also, I’m saying he forgot that the beach bar was sponsored today, thus his payment, to provide a bit more IC interaction. If he is ICly reminded, I’ll have him insist on at least a portion of the money being kept as tip.

Not quite untamed wilderness, but not far away. It's an altar, a few flagstones, a stone bench surrounded by palm trees on top of a cliff, that is sometimes used as a jump point by teenagers seeking a thrill.
