- As Spring blurs into summer...
...and the gentle blue waves lap at the ankles...
“Sure, one moment!”, she replied and got back to work.
A moment in silence passed.
“Do you look forward to Summer Solstice?”, Amy asked suddenly.
The waiter hummed in agreement. “Of course I do.”, he said, “It means business and, after my shift, flirting with any Mainland-Lass, which comes my way... or from further away.”
“You're hopeless, Fintan.”, Amy concluded with a smile.
“Oh, I have carefully cultivated an image as a playboy and incorrigible flirt!”, Fintan replied with a grin, then placed a hand on his chest, “But deep inside, I am just a poor boy with...”
“...with a Hostess, who appreciates the Melodramatics, but who'd also appreciate you working.”, a new voice chimed in – the Bar's Hostess, Aífe, had made an appearance.
“Of course, Ma'am!”, Fintan replied with a grin and doubled his efforts, which had nothing to do with him crushing on his superior. “Any news from the Office?”
“Yep, they're gonna sponsor us – the whole nine yards, including the grill!”, Aífe said and Fintan beamed, “Yes, you are already noted down as Master of the Grill.”
Fintan cheered, while Amy picked up her bucket and shouldered the mop. “Once that gets out, we're gonna be stormed like... well...”
“Think of a metaphor while you bring the water away, Amy.”, the Hostess instructed with a smile. “I need to inform half of your colleagues, that they're gonna have a shift on a Long Weekend... and that it's going to look like a war zone here...”
“Amaethon's Holy Day just got a whole lot more interesting.”, Fintan said and looked up, “Tauwerk makes good water guns, we're gonna be sponsored, we already have a band at the ready, the Gods alone know, what else happens...”
“Only one way to find out!”, Aífe cheered, “But first, Fintan... the tables!”
Hello and welcome to The Sun, the Beach and the Water Guns!
This is the second beach party I host, the first one being a few years in the past by now, an occasion, where normal (and let me stress that: NORMAL) people from our nations meet in a relaxed atmosphere, have a few drinks, chat, have fun, a little bit of a low stakes RP giving people the chance to develop their nation's lore and culture.
This RP takes place at a beach in the subtropical Oileánra-Archipelago near a town called Scrín, an ideal place to make a vacation (and reasonably priced, too). Warm, sunny, azure blue water, fun times ahead for everyone!
The people among you, who know me a bit by now, will notice, that I do not ask for a RP-Sample this time around. This is specifically so that newer players, who are interested in RPing, have a chance to give it a shot.
The start of the IC is planned for the Day of the Summer Solstice, 21st of June, 2022 (A.D.) - and here we go.
