I’m sure some sailors hate officers and politicians so much they’d have this mentality and want all officers to be lynched but those sailors hardly going to spend their time nicking other sailors and marines now, are they?

He disobeyed orders during the operation, he disobeyed orders to report back and then just went AWOL

Political revolutionaries and simple discipline cases would each not be accepted into the SAS.
