IC:
"We don't care."
OOC: Why is he a traitor?
You implied it by saying that Alexander Darcy's identity was leaked to help the enemy rather than as a legitimate way of getting a deserter to go back to base.
Which implies he was deserting to stop treason.

OOC: He didn't desert, though.

OOC: And then disabled the tracking devices when he was called back to base. If I remember correctly, that was when they revealed his identity.
But you're right he wasn't called up for active service at the time, so it was AWOL rather than desertion (as it was without the intent to avoid active service. In any case, it was to punish him for refusing to carry out their objectives, not to further the ends of the enemy.
IC:
"The prosecution allege he deliberately bungled the operation to obtain a classified objective in order to have an excuse to dox the brave marine who is currently a Lieutenant-General, Alexander Darcy."

Sergeant Muhammad Alasdair Khan has recently resigned from the police, publicly citing the lack of due process and asking police officers to "disobey unlawful orders".
His large amount of police support from officers outside the Met leads to a handful of police federations representatives expressing agreement with him as well as the head of National Police Chiefs' Council, Rhiannon Kirk, who thinks her high position makes her immune from Star Chamber style trial.

Also do you think Philip Proudfoot intend the operation to fail from the start?"
OOC: If you're ok with it, can I make it so he intended the operation to succeed?

Meanwhile, police support outside the Metropolitan Police for the military is at a new low as is support within the intelligence community.
The Metropolitan Police, meanwhile, has been a five or six year embarrassment to the political-military-corporate elite and the public alike, one the former nevertheless need to enforce their rule without constantly sending the RMP up and down the country.
