Observing mounting aggression and hostilities by local forces of the this suzerainty, the Federalist High Council in an emergency meeting has authorized the deployment of the 815815210506th Space Force alongside the 16812495108th Terrestrial Combined Arms Legion, force total of 3,500,000 Federal ground personnel along side associated ground and air vehicles, 32,000 mobile space stations and combat assets, 5 tamed Super Battle Jellyfish, and 1 resurrected zombie Jellyfish, to occupy the following localities: the entire continent of Europe. Federal space forces have already established total orbital supremacy and ground forces are in the process of establishing military operating stations and automated synthetic manufacturing bases; likewise, tamed Jellyfish are in the process of devouring nuclear weapons in sub-orbital transit. Denizens of the listed localities of this suzerainty are to cease hostilities immediately or face forced disarmament and mass detainment of local security forces. Resistance and acts of insurrection against Federal forces may potentially be met with extermination, material synthesis extraction, forced conscription, and or other associated repercussions in accordance with Federal Prerogative.

Arriving Federal forces are in the process of investigating a transdimensional anomaly and extradimensional invasion within the suzerainty locality sector designation "Iberia". Special Operation anti-anomaly and anti-horror units are already on site, ground, naval, and air forces will be arriving shortly. The multiverse responsible for the anomalous invasion is also in the process of being occupied by a separate Federalist military force authorized by the Federalist High Council, although it appears that the Federalists have already established a presence there and have infested all of its institutions, to the bamboozlement to the current Federalist High Council, who do not remember authorizing such an operation.

Finally, the entire continent of Antarctica has been repurposed for Federal operations, the local penguin population has agreed to lend its support to Federal forces and their personnel will be augmenting Federal military units across the occupation zones of interest.

The Buenos Aires Summit

Closing dozens of streets surrounding Buenos Aires' main governmental institutions to public access this morning, military police alongside provincial and city counterparts took charge of security preparations for the arrival of global leaders for the Buenos Aires Summit. Representatives from the United Kingdom of Castile & Leon, the Aragon Confederacy, the Basque Soviet Socialist Republics, Portugal, Danubia, and Poland are set to convene to deescalate tensions in the Spanish Realm, mediated by none other than Prime Minister Sánchez himself. This is the first time Buenos Aires has been host to international leaders since the 180th Anniversary of the May Revolution just short of two years ago, and, amid growing public discontent with the Sánchez administration, security forces are working to maintain strict control measures to ensure a successful negotiation effort.

Given the high-stakes nature of today's summit, negotiating parties are convening within the famous Casa Rosada prior to any press appearances, which sources within the administration say was a purposeful choice to help exert pressure for a satisfactory outcome. For security purposes, the exact time and location of the summit itself have not been publicly announced, although reports indicate that all representatives, save for those from the United Kingdom, have already arrived and are ready to begin discussions.

This summit is a key piece of Prime Minister Sánchez's attempts to overcome the political turmoil that was unleashed following revelations of corruption by politicians close to the governing National Party. Even still, community leaders in Buenos Aires and from around the country have flown into the city as organized protests commence hoping to bring international attention to the corruption issue and to pressure Sánchez into taking appropriate anti-corruption measures, including, in the view of protest organizers, purging of many well-established political leaders from the administration. Protesters have been galvanized by the asylum status former Paraguay Governor Hugo Duarte has received in Turkey, which they say was organized by a deeply entrenched corrupt political elite that includes the larger Duarte family and their allies.

Thus far, security forces have been able to separate protesters from the Casa Rosada and other areas, although several arrests have already been made. Many protesters are hoping to make their concerns known at the press conference immediately after negotiations, but there are fears that, like in Ciudad del Este, these protests could quickly turn violent.

Prime Minister Sánchez, for his part, has so far offered little guidance on his plans for addressing corruption, instead pivoting to the ongoing summit and its success as the administration's current highest priority.

It was a beautiful day in Buenos Aires. Not all was going well in Spain, but said forsaken land had tried to destroy itself for century after century. Surely this time would be no different? However, the events in Galicia were still harrowing to hear. "Could it be true?" The delegate was in the Argentine capital for a mission, but in the light of all the recent events, it all seemed so pointless - hopeless even.

On and on the delegates from around the world spoke and spoke. The endless monotonous stream of garble seemed as it may never end. Slowly but surely, his notes drifted into unrecognizable squiggles.

Resting his arm on his notes, he suddenly felt a burning sensation. In pain, he reflexively threw the notebook across the room.

Tentacles.

Transparent tentacles started to pour out of the notebook. The room could only watch in horror as people were dragged and devoured into a transparent, decaying mass of putrid flesh.

Part of the Scyphozoa had escaped the confines of its Federalist masters - all due to the actions of one dispassionate delegate. Undead and driven past the point of insanity, it knew that there was only one path forward. Calamity.

The Imperial Eagle

Death had only been the beginning for the emperor of Austria-Danubia, Martin von-Habsburg-Lorraine. Indeed, of all the events that had transpired since that crisp October morning, when Dr. Phosphoros had informed The Savior of All Austria that The Project had reached completion, death had been the most fathomable, the most integrable, the most familiar experienced the emperor would be forced to process. It is true, Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine had died in all lives, and he would die in all lives to come.

The emperor was not afraid when he was making his final preparations to cross earthly dimensions, to sever his ties the material world at hand and offer himself to the cosmos. All those lives ago Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine was absolutely sure of his purpose. The man who had brought light to Austria was to bring light to all worlds: the nefarious forces that had chained him in his reality would not in realities beyond. One may have figured that trusting an interdimensional portal that was the fruit of a high school science fair in the imperial colony of Easter Island would have consequences, but Martin shared no such thoughts, for his fate was that of destiny's. What the emperor was not prepared for, however, was destiny's sentence.

Martin was ready to confront death, but he was not necessarily ready to confront all possible lives. See, in order to reach the reality in which the Austro-Danubian emperor would come to rule the very Universe the Danube sustains, he would have to experience all realities, this reality of his desires being but one among infinite. Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine would have many names since he was called Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine all those lives ago, and many purposes. He was a Catholic missionary traversing feudal Japan, he hunted and brought the wrath of justice to Klansmen, he was member of the House of Gucci, he even came close to ruling the Universe once, the emperor had been called Kylo Ren, bringing short-lived security to a tattered Galactic Empire. All of these lives were pale in comparison to the one that had shocked him the most, the one that had dissolved the few margins that had remained within the emperor's awareness. Indeed, in one of these lives he was a movie star who had played all of these roles. Or, who had created all of these roles through his own interpretations of mere scripts that had been provided to him. When Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine, or Adam Driver, was waiting for the 11:15 flight to Los Angeles in the Cincinnati airport, in an attempt to pass the time, had used his phone to scour the internet for an online nation simulator. He created an account, harmless enough, and soon found himself addicted to talking to strangers on the internet, to discussing changes he had observed in the world with anonymous friends. He soon found himself wondering how to go to war in this online realm, finding simple instructions linked to a region called "Democritus." Adam Driver would not think twice when he found himself playing the fictional role of Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine on an online nation simulator, but Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine, remembering all lives and now manifest in a strange new world, would falter.

A strange feeling had come across the emperor his subfighter as reached the surface of this reality's Mediterranean, this curious reverie revealing to him what was always there. He was writing and playing all of his lives, and destiny's call had brought him here. The rupture in space-time attributed to Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine’s arrival had brought the enemies of his old reality into that which he had found himself cast into: the DEU, the FSR, even interdimensional federalist jellyfish.

Nonetheless, the emperor prepared himself for a spell he had spent many lives mastering. Somewhere off the coast of Danubia the emperor clapped his hands,

the birds sang

every Danubian citizen had a vision of the emperor Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine, remembering their lives spent in the reality of his origin at once, before dissolving into pure spiritual ecstasy. The emperor would bring light to this land once again. The only truth decipherable in the chaos: imminent eschaton. Bow to the light. As the final echoes of the emperor's clap disappeared into to the Mediterranean air, every single Austrian military of all realities and all times began to pour into Danubia via countless portals opening in unison throughout the country.

The long forgotten Regional Senators of Reykjavík had anticipated the federalist threat. While the Federalist High Council may have claimed "interdimensional" suzerainty, they were blind to the influence of the Icelandic cabal that had toppled governments, asserted order and suppressed dissenting voices in global politics.

The subfleet armada arose from the Atlantic, passing wrecks of long sunk armadas, and unleashed withering fire on the federalist forces. Meanwhile, the Icelanders began their ultimate contingency: promoting factionalism in the entity simultaneously known as Losconia, Pacifica, the United Republic, the North American Federation and the American Confederation. The Senators posed as DUAN diplomats, summoning all of the factions to a single location. A very dangerous proposition indeed.

Ever since the collapse and destruction of the Grand Dinosaurid Imperium, the Mammalians have ruled the terrestrial surface. Once again, the Synapsids held dominion of the Terra's surface, surpassing even that of their progenitor empire during the Permian epoch. Yet...the Mammalians found themselves always teetering on the edge. Accursed Insects invade and ransack Mammalian territory, some leaching off of their very life. Their ancient enemy, the Reptiles, ever scheme behind the scenes, their cold-blooded hearts ever hungry for Mammalian blood and revenge. The remnants of the Dinosaurs, the Avians, don't care at all...for the Birds merely vibe in their perfect existence.
Yet, deep below in the ocean blue, the most strongest of all Kingdoms, the Fish Empire...sat and waited, building its power for millions upon millions of years. Terrestrial Kingdoms rose and fell, but the Fish Empire remained eternal, always. Now...it was its time, to strike.

As extradimensional invasion rampages across the Iberian Peninsula, as Federalist Forces engage Icelandic armadas and grow their occupation across Europe and the world around, the oceans began to tremble...and sing.

Danubia's war against against Turkey has expanded! The rise of the Emperor Martin von Hapsburg-Lorraine has emboldened the Danubian claim to the Ottoman Empire! Several Bosnian Imams have declared him the true emperor of the Turks and Romans, and are marching onto Constantinople in order to seize the throne. Poland has promised the support of multiple Cossack Hordes in this endeavour. By the time this article is published, thousands of soldiers driving Zastava Yugos will be driving through the nuclear ruins of Sofia on their way to Turkey.

Siamese Twin delegates arrive at Buenos Aires summit
The literally joint Polish-Danubian delegation has arrived at the summit to produce the Trimarian demands for the end of the conflict in Iberia. The joint delegation is putting forth a proposal of non-intervention in the BSSR, which would ban all other states in Iberia from interfering in Basque internal affairs, and establish international observers to ensure this edict of non-intervention is maintained. Further, the delegation has demanded that free elections be held in Galicia, in which there would be no restrictions on leftist parties to win the election. The BSSR would be banned from interfering directly in Galician internal affairs, and the elections would be internationally monitored.

Danubian-Turkish War

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called Danubia's aspirations "laughable and misguided."

In response to Danbia's ridiculous claim, the Grand Assembly of the Greater Turkish State declared Alparslan Turkesh the true Sultan of Vienna, Ruler of the Balkans, Protector of Podolskie, Commander of Istria, and Conqueror of Budapest.

The Turkish forces are starting to prepare mine fields in southern Bulgaria to stop the Danubians while more artillery is being deployed to the frontline. The troops are trying to create a pincer movement and encircle the Danubians attacking them on the flanks while a big chunk of the invading force is expected to perish on the densely mine-filled areas. Fighter jets are sent to bomb the Danubian command and control centers.

The Grand Assembly decided to declare a full mobilization of the reservists which are being sent to the front lines in Bulgaria.

Buenos Aires, YEAR CLASSIFIED

The beginning of the end came with the administration of Prime Minister Sánchez, a National Party moderate whose appointment was widely seen as an appeasement to Argentina's other historically dominant Colorado Party, as both struggled to stay relevant amid the meteoric rise of the left-wing Broad Front. Sánchez oversaw Argentina during a time of great turmoil; there was little he could've done to combat the effects of the various oil crises of the 90s or the rekindling of the devastation of war in the Spanish Realm. But ultimately, it was the problems at home where his greatest failures lie.

An increasingly influential Broad Front had taken power in provincial legislatures across the country, led by Uruguay's José Mujica. Spurred by widespread discontent with growing wealth inequality, Broad Front politicians grew more militant in their efforts to roust corrupted politicians from their long-held positions, all but declaring war on the political elite and their machinations that had run the country for a century. The Nationals and Colorados would have been wise to hide their corruption, but instead they only grew more brazen; Sánchez's administration poured millions of pesos into holding companies under the guise of infrastructure investments as ridiculous as artificial islands or continent-spanning canals.

Paraguay's Duarte family was the first to face public violence. Hugo Duarte's asylum status in Turkey, combined with the further entrenchment of his allies in the provincial government, led to riots and politically-motivated killings outside of the province's boundaries. Different sectors of the national military collaborated with and against provincial security forces in increasingly more-flagrant violations of each other's provincial sovereignty. Mujica was joined by three other governors in declaring their support for a left-wing militia force that had overtaken Ciudad del Este in Paraguay and sought to overthrow the Paraguayan government.

Sánchez, having just dealt with the career-ending disaster that was the Buenos Aires summit, quickly resigned from office. Broad Front politicians in the National Parliament demanded elections be held, while Colorados and Nationals sought to create an untouchable coalition government instead. No new Prime Minister was ever appointed. Mujica was killed by an unknown assassin; within weeks a Uruguayan led-coalition of military forces and revolutionaries ousted the Paraguayan leadership and executed them for treason. The national government ceased to exist as politicians returned to their home provinces for security; the Argentine Royal Family fled to Brazil and Portugal just ahead of Buenos Aires Province's takeover of government institutions in La Plata. The Silver Kingdom fell into a Civil War.

I hesitated for a second when I saw her wide, fear-filled eyes.

"They—"

"Oh, don't listen to him," my squad leader interrupted. "He's just repeating a story he saw in some book."

The young recruit seemed satisfied with that answer, nodding abashedly. She quickly returned her attention to the device in her third tentacle, which had been honing in on the location of the jellyfish our rescue team was sent here to save; probably just some idiots who had been playing around with an old interdimensional teleporter.

As I looked upon the tattered ruins of a blue flag next to a crumbling obelisk, though, I couldn't help but wonder if that story held any merit.
