The ZN government has put 8 men on international trial in the regional court in Avidoba, Avidoba state in Zarnicovia nova. This is due to a nation court trial taking place sortly after the disaster which is why their being trialed now. The court in 2002 under a US-backed theocratic dictatorship at the time forced to courts to pardon all involved and futher pushing on the charges by ZN law cannot take place but recently they have found a way to go around this by calling an international court. Lower level court officials in ZN says this will work and the sue has taken place. The defendends sued back saying it was against the law to resue but courts agree that the loophole works their for the trial coutinues. With this the international members of the court have been invited to the trial.
General information is already known tho more information may come out as evidence. They are being charged with generally causing horrible tragedy and pain which if they went by international and national rules and regulations could have been avioded. They are also being charged with other nuclear safety voilations leading to the accident. Most witnesses are dead due to radiaction jurnals but one head of the Valeskov nuclear research instiute Sonya Kovalchuk and Advisor Head of Zarnicovian nuclear programme and industry Dominic Russell. The later of which was killed by revolutionaires in the 2003 revolution the other here today to testify. 16 time witnesses and 38 dead witness accounts are given as evidence along with classified investigation findings and other testimonial. Not all witness accounts and classified investigation findings have been released yet.
The disaster occured on may 6th 2001 at Jarez nuclear power plant in the state of Kalidoya. Inside it's modern exclusion zone.

All members of the jury currently have arrive at the region court in Avidoba. The sun is low in the sky. The weather is mild with a 5% chance of rain tomorrow. A wind of 10 KPH and 6 degrees C. weather. The jury along with defendends and prosucutors is informed to be at the court of trial by 8:30 A.M local time. Time of calling is 7:41 A.M at 8:21 A.M the last jury member arives from out of town. At 8:26 A.M the judge steps-up from his podium and does the usual begining of court case speech.
Judge Sherwood Farmer states the following charges: "Kliment Novikov is charged with breaking multiple nuclear safety standards resulting in a nuclear disaster, causing the creation of a humanitarian crisis, and 2,198 counts of involentary manslaughter with no possible payroll. Georgy Petrov is charged with, ordering or following the orders resulting crimes against humanity directly to 3 indivuals and indirectly to 1,687 indivuals 1 count of volentary manslaughter, 1 count of involentary man slaughter, and 1 count of attempted involentary manslaughter with no payroll. Roswell Atwood is charged with breaking multiple nuclear safety standards resulting in a nuclear disaster, aiding in the creation of a humanitarian crisis, and 2,198 counts of involentary manslaughter. The prosecutor goes to the judge and request permission to make a statement to the jury after gainign permissions sits back down and another prosecutor stands up and begins talking to the court.
"On the behalf of the government which we repisent we are informing you that futher charges against current and new defendends may take place if we find reason for or evidence for these charges."
The Judge stands up and makes another statement "once the jury defense and prosecutors feel that they are ready to hear evidence we will begin giving evidence. Raise your hand if you are ready."
Not many raise their hand.
"Well then we will coutinue discussion." The judges sits back down.

Felix Copperdown looked on at the trial with a stoic expression, and jotted down a few notes. this was very different from the no-holds-barred Millenhaals court system, where anyone can present any evidence as long as it is real, and can say anything as it isn't a lie. It is permittable in court to bring up one side's failing marriage and the infidelity within to sway the jury. The art of law in ZN was strange, and so Feliz thought about how his experience could apply to his work. he caught several misleading words in both the defendant's and the prosecutor's words, and Felix was sure to call them out. He could tell that it annoyed everyone, and he took that with satisfaction.

"The audience may not speak if it interrupts the flow of the trial." he snapped in a rather upper-class tone. He returned to his work. He was, after all, used to the traditional, orderly English courts which had no such interruptions.

"Well it seems that 3 of the witnesses live on the other side of the country os they'll be in about 1 to 1 and half hours. So these two. Their over in the break room that someone have them the key to. *gives the key* Their names are Anzhelina Kovalchuk and María Carmen Borja."

"For the members of the jury the documents given are basically: the events leading up to and after the accident(Anzhelina Kovalchuk and María Carmen Borja combiled the witness accounts these and that is their evidence they'll be giving along with their knowleg of nuclear physics and how their actions caused the accident). The documents also give a basic overview of the reactor type in question and the defendends personnal take on the events(which will be discussed right after). This is only based on the physics point of view and does not adress the charges of manpower. The document will include all info."

The procustors say they recklessly broke rules and had little care for human life leading to a nuclear disaster and many dead. The defense says that it was not the operators fault but the government's(at least at that time government's) fault as they failed to update nuclear reactors to safe conditions and failed to tell operators about the dangers which their cost cutting strategies had made meaning that the operators we're not at fault for the incident.

The 2 women are brought into the court by the clerk along with a board and some placks explains how a nuclear reacor works then starts with their testimony
"To understand what happened at the nuclear plant on that day we have to go back to mr. Abraham Oleastro's office and mt. Laru and mt. Valesko in the Kelbra mountain range a few months early. Sciemec monitors began picking up earthquakes deep underground before the many geothermal plants began seeing their power levels rise. Due to outdated and dumb technology they could not lower the output without turning the plants off which mr. Abraham Oleastro refused. Not against the rules tho. The power coutinued to rise and the night of the day before the accident the two volcanos began eruptions tho minor. This the geothermal plants we're not turned off and still their power level is rising. The first rules are broken. Due to the power grid being unable to handel basic issues mr. Abraham Oleastro is trying to handel stuff. To add to that this is in the middle of a desert and in the very very begining of summer weather it is between 90-100 degrees F meaning everyone has their brand new coolers on putting more stress and power swings on the already bad system. Some of the power grids systems fail before the big break but no one fixes them because they're all off work and mr. Abraham Oleastro refuses to call them in. Which is breaking anotehr safety rule. The reactor is forced to go down to 2000 power then 1800 power then to 1600 power then to 1200 power then back and forth. To do this they need to the permission of Head operator manager Kliment Novikov and Nuclear site manager Roswell Atwood. Zenon is building in the core (she puts zenon on the cooling side of the core). The reactor operators can tell Zenon is building as power swings increase. At 9:00 PM the night shift and day shift change. The night shift is very unexperienced with an average work time of 18 months. At 10:57 P.M the night shift are ordered to raise the power to 1800 from 1200 as the geothermal power has decreased. But it swings and goes upwards of 2000 they overrun the reactor with cooling causing it to begin dropping. The reaction has stalled (she takes out 1 of the heating). They exit global control for local control to try and save the reactor. It drops to a power of 2. (she adds 1 cooling) Zenon is totally not burned at all and The reaction is dead(remove 1 heating). But (she takes off one of the cooling) the dead nuclear reactor does not have this cooling method due to lack of the water evaporating. They trying to get the reactor back up as mr. Abraham Oleastro has ordered begin pulling out most then all of the control rods (remove 1 cooling) Now only xenon and water is cooling the reactor. To pull out all the control rods turn it the local mode and then take it off giving power to the rid they need. Cheif safety officer Harouna Kamau's permission which he grants every time. With some convincing by Kliment Novikov and cheif security officer Georgy Petrov. at 1:03 A.M Sunday that week. The power grid fails across the whole of La Pueble region. At the power plant... the water pumps stop. Water is no longer flowing through the reactor. (remove 1 cooling) The reaction quickly goes in the reaction's favour (add 2 heating). A chain reaction forms (add 3 heating) the xenon burns away (remove 2 heating) finally Harouna Kamau and Kliment Novikov order senior control room enginer Dex Collins to press SCRAM for the reaction to shut it off. Due to government budget cuts by the conservitive dictatorial government 60% of rods still has graphite tips even tho their we're suppose to be replaced. I may aswell add 100 heating to this chart at this point. we come to 1:47 A.M Sunday. The reactor explodes. The lid is thrown off. The chain of disaster is complete. Junior Control room enginer Mateo Andrés who was in the control room during the accident will give the hours after the explosion which he survived. Thank you."
