National Sovereingty Act

A BILL
To Reaffirm the Independence and Sovereignties of the Members of the Global Alliance

SECTION 1: SHORT TITLE

This Act may be cited as the "National Sovereignty Act."

SECTION 2: Defining "National Sovereignty"

National Sovereignty is hereby defined as the maintained independence of a nation, state, or government entity to bring about the will of the people without violating the rights and duties of other nations, states, or government entities while also following the laws set forth by the Global Alliance and other organizations.

SECTION 3: Reinforcing National Sovereignty

National Sovereignty, being a core necessity for any government made by sentient beings to survive, is hereby protected and enforced by this Global Alliance for the benefit of all member nations. The independence and autonomy of all member nations are recognized and protected forthwith and affirmed by this Global Alliance. The Global Alliance shall stand in favor of policies designed to protect the autonomy and independence of member nations and non-member nations alike, excluding the use of colonies or protectorates of the Global Alliance.

Sen. Hope Alexis: Hello my Global Alliance colleagues and friends. I am ready to begin the new age of international peace and liberty. As you may know, the government has already queued several bills for GA discussion including the Protectorate Wellness Act, the Civilian Nuclear Cooperation Act, and the Free Communications Act. There are no specific terms, but I believe you can understand the gist from the names. These bills are all to act for the GA, her members, and her people. I do hope that you may accept these proposals, or at the very least know that despite flaws they were made with good intentions.

Former Southeast Marajarbian representative to the UCA, a man known as Carl Williams, begins his broadcast from a somewhat old laptop in a room surrounded by Southeast Marajarbian flags, and memorabilia belonging to the original 3 alliances. Carl is eager to represent Southeast Marajarbia in what he and the Government hope can become both a successor to the World Assembly and a way to become an even bigger world power. Carl's wife, Hannah Williams, can be seen handing Carl a glass of freshly squeezed Marajarbian orange juice, which Carl immediately begins to drink as he waits for any other representatives to introduce themselves in order to start passing the many, many proposals in store for this alliance.
