Faran Elneson implores with Xanisic to 'Consider Giving Haims Airtha full Sovereignty and Independence'
The current leader of the Sæxan Government, Faran Elneson, has today stated to those in control of the Autonomous Province of Xanisic to grant the southern province of Haims Airtha independence so that they can strike their own path. He claims that,
"Under the legislature of Xanisic, they will simply have their needs as a special group of peoples, far closer culturally to our nation than to theirs, ignored and the opportunity to forge a new relationship with Anglo-Saxe Coburg has been brutishly denied due to Xanisic's land lust, when it's clear for all to see that living conditions under Sæxan governance is vastly better than that under this fringe province."
This statement comes as no surprise, after a treaty granting Xanisic their autonomy denied land Anglo-Saxe Coburg was previously guaranteed. This, of course, will further stoke tensions, but it is clear that neither Faran Elneson nor the Foreign Secretary have said anything that could anger Ujes Ryand, who still have Xanisic under their control.

Etheswitha Garmangahis hits back at claims that Haims Airtha bond is "flase"

Etheswitha Garmangahis did not hold back when answering questions surrounding the rapidly escalating issue surrounding Haims Airtha and its independence. Currently, the legislature governing the province of Xanisic claimed that the bonds were shallow and that Faran Elneson's "claim that Haims Airtha is closer to the Commonwealth of Anglo-Saxe Coburg is false". As of now, the Witanagemot have suggested building a rail line to attempt to increase influence in the area, however this plan quickly fell apart after they stated that funds for it would have to be provided by Xanisic themselves. When asked on the situation, she stated,
"Am I annoyed that the legislature of the Autonomous Province have quite frankly stated something blindly untrue again? Yes, I very well am. Am I annoyed that they are trying to make their situation seem stable and as if such a proud Gothic diaspora want to stay in a dilapidated falling province? Yes, I very well am. Am I optimistic, however, that we'll liberate our friends in immense poverty and disarray? Yes, I very well am." This is a view shared by many Suffolk, a recent GeneralPol survey found that 88% of Suffolk believe Haims Airtha should be apart of Anglo-Saxe Coburg. Polling data, however, for the Goths living in Xanisic is not quite strong, mainly due to the fact that the dilapidated infrastructure in the province makes it hard to do so. Faran Elneson is expected to meet together with the leader of Ujes Ryand to discuss what further action should be taken to ensure that this situation is resolved swiftly, with the cabinet expecting to present to parliament a motion to be debated on what would be the best course of action regarding the situation.

In other news, the Sæxan Olympic Association is looking to create a regional sporting institution to manage sporting events in the region. Preparations get under way for the Sæxan National Hockey Team for their participation in the Hockey World Cup 19, with a friendly game with one of the nations in the region planned.

Sæxan Sport leads the Way in setting up MRSA

In a more positive piece of news, the Chairman of Sæxan Sport- Karl Forde, has announced the founding of a new Sports Body to oversee Sport Development in the Region. It has been named the MRSA [Moonlight Regional Sports Association], and is the primary organisation for all things concerning sport in the region at large. Despite the fact that Sæxan influence in the Organisation is clear for all too see, he hopes that, "Other nations in the region see the benefits of getting their citizens involved in sport and, as such, are willing to discuss and organise it on a larger scale." What exactly the Association can and cannot do is yet to be laid out in stone, but what can be expected is likely to be centred around regional sporting events, promotion of sport in participating nations, the enforcement of fair play, and looking to expand its recognition internationally.

It's headquarters have been built in Hælotídburg, Anglo-Saxe Coburg and they'll meet to decide a charter for any member of the Association to follow.

Tensions in Xanisic left to Simmer
It has been rather quiet from Xanisic leaders today, with there being surprisingly little increase in the tensions that have quickly risen between Xanisic and The Commonwealth. It has left many questioning whether or not Anglo-Saxe Coburg can indeed pull off a swift and rapid annexation of Haims Airtha without dealing with resistance by Xanisic. The Foreign Secretary today stated that they "Weren't taking any chances," and have reiterated the fact that they are determined to have Haims Airtha under Sæxan control, continuing on to say that, "Our determination does not mean that we're going to be irresponsible and careless about the whole situation and we will not be disclosing any information that could perhaps hint to how exactly we intend to reclaim Haims Airtha.

Faran Elneson flies to Haeonia for Summit
Folctoga, Faran Elneson, has flown over to Haeonia for a summit between the region's leaders being held in the city of Zoumaha. It is thought that relations between Anglo-Saxe Coburg, Ujes Ryand, and the hosts themselves are things likely to be on the agenda, with Elneson hoping to improve relations with both nations to further provide a sense of security in the nation. With all three members of the Tri-Pact Alliance attending, it is thought that nothing destructive to ASC's regional image is likely to happen.

President Silvana Frijolas statement on Haims Airtha

President Silvana Frijolas, after reading the most recent news from SBC, Anglo-Saxes News Site, has decided to make a statement regarding Haims Airtha on social media. "We have already stated Haims Airtha does not desire to leave Xanisic, which for now has remained the same." She proceeded to state that, although at first Anglo-Saxe was right to fear for the safety, that so far Xanisic has only gotten better than it had been before. "One of Anglo-Saxes reasons for fearing is that we may have become more Authoritarian than The Corrupt Government of Ujes Rynad, but as of now, we have become less Authoritarian than Anglo-Saxe themselves. Most problems that Anglo-Saxe can say to be better handled with, such as previously Authoritarianism, is being handled well and getting better in Xanisic." President Silvana Frijolas also stated that Haims Airtha has no desire to become a more nudist nation. "The Province is more in line with how Anglo-Saxe used to be, rather than how it is now when it comes to culture, and we are much more like Xanisic," added a politician in the Province of Xanisic, "Many people here have just gotten out of worrying about being attacked, even if it would be a good idea to give Haims Airtha to Anglo-Saxe, it'd would be better to give it some time rather than rush things." President Frijolas plans to speak things out with Faran Elneson over this in hopes to settle this peacefully, out of fear Anglo-Saxe will take a hostile stance soon.

Faran Elneson leave Zoumaha Conference empty-handed, but with determination

It does not need to be said that trying to please everybody in the first ever conference in the region would not be easy, however, Faran Elneson will be feeling more than a bit frustrated at his inability to negotiate a deal which would see Haims Airtha returned to Sæxan control. In a tweet sent last night, he stated that although they'd come back without being able to do much of what was initially intended, he'll be "talking with Etheswitha Garmangahis" to discuss "the next course of action. Going on to reassure Suffolk that the coming weeks will be dealt with safely, he wrote that, "As much as conflict seems inevitable, we will put on a brave face and soldier on." It is thought that today, the foreign secretary and defence minister Etheswitha Garmangahis will confirm that preparations and military exercises will begin in an undisclosed location in Uplendshire and what exactly the military will be doing has not been made clear. The last time that the Sæxan Here (Saxon Army) had been in a conflict was in the infamous war against the Danes, in which nuclear weaponry was used. It is thought that there is to be some strong opposition, therefore, to another conflict. Especially ÐSSF leader Mildthryth Rufrinson, Defence Minister during this. However, it is expected that any motion for war will pass if Faran Elneson makes very clear that there is no other suitable alternative. The Sæxan Here is well positioned as if to be deployed in a conflict in the region, however, to minimise any potential losses, extensive preparation for any potential operation is imperative, rather than overwhelm the region using manpower. It is thought that Ujes Ryand support Anglo-Saxe Coburg in taking back Haims Airtha and would have no problem with the Here doing so. It is unclear the extent of any self-defence force Xanisic may have, or even if they may have a self-defence force at all. As such, it is thought that reconnaissance operations will commence today, with the Sæxan Gedriht (The Sæxan Special Forces) likely to be doing so.
