While the TV cameras were busy concentrating on Nick, Andrea and Yoni, a figure slipped out onto the stage. A small section of the crowd cheered but it could easily have been interpreted as some people still happy about the previous country getting their twelve. Nick looked into the camera and simply said as an obvious reference: "ETV call home."

The animations played and then we see a familiar face standing to one side. He was wearing a blue and black sweater, a pair of blue jeans and a pair of black shoes as well. "Halo Avon."

Andrea reacted with surprise, although it was somewhat obvious that this whole thing had been rehearsed. "Oh, buenas noches. I didn't expect to see you there. I thought you were up there."

"I just felt like stepping out for a bit. And Nick's with you guys so they had to quickly hire a fill-in."

"Do you have the votes on you, Cerin? They'd be very helpful." Yoni asked, leaning forward and raising an eyebrow.

"I sure do, Yoni. But first I want you all to do me a small favour."

"What is it?" They all replied, although they were a bit out of sync in parts.

"Turn around please."

One after another they all turned around until they looked in the direction of the figure. They all reacted in surprise, again somewhat obviously faked because of how rehearsed it had been, when they realised who it was. The cameras immediately cut from the standard voting set-up to a wide shot of the stage as the figure turned out to be Cerin Erali, one of the commentators for the ETV feed of the show, much to the delight of the crowd. Flynn Taggart, the other commentator, was still in the booth commentating on the proceedings although he wasn't as surprised as the others. He didn't even put in the effort. Cerin waved at them as the cameras then returned to the way they were, with a close-up of him on his side of the screen. "Hi." He said as he waved while the cheers died down.

"Ladies and gentlemen and everyone in between, Mr. Cerin Erali!" Nick said as he pointed in Cerin's general direction.

"As much as I'd like to stay and chat about the whole show, I think it's time we got on with the points. It was a tough one for our juries as they were many, many brilliant songs for our listening pleasure tonight but I think they've gotten their votes alright. In fact, you can see their ones through tens on your screens right now."

When it was time to call on Placely Placington, the hosts and the audience were just greeted with a blank wall and a whole load of murmuring. Apparently they couldn't figure out who should do the votes this time so they decided to bring out the Health Minister. He bobbed into view and presumably turned to face the camera. It was hard to tell because he had no face. He then said into the camera, his Brummie accent on full display "Hello, I am the Placely Placingtonian Health Minister. Normally I would encourage everyone to congregate in large crowds and greet each other by sneezing all over each other. But instead I have to give the points. Hang on a second."

The Health Minister then disappeared off screen for a few seconds before returning with a sheet of paper stuck through one of his points. "OK, I have the points." He said. "One point to..." Just then, a Test Subject presumably walked into the room for whatever reason. Presumably because he had some grunt work to do. Health Minister immediately flung himself at the Test Subject with enough speed to cause the paper to fly off. Luckily, it stuck to the camera for long enough so the votes could be read. That was a disappointment but then again I am running low on ideas for these guys:

This is BONC Norfolk Pinewoods calling. We're delighted to be with you tonight and want to congratulate everyone at ETV for this incredible show tonight.

Beepeeans still think so fondly of our Worldvision Teams entry with Amina Pickle and Andrea Garcia. We may have finished last, but we had the most fun!

My I could talk all night, but I know what you really want... it's those jury votes.

"Thank you, gracias, have a great evening Norfolk Pinewoods. We here at ETV hope to work with you again." Nick said as he said his goodbyes to the Beepeean spokesperson.

Once they went off screen, we then cut to a wide shot of the stage and each host behind their own podium, again at least 2m apart from each other. The three hosts turned their heads to look into a different camera, at which point they started the next bit. "Well, we're halfway into the competition now." Yoni said as he clapped his hands together.

"That's right, Yoneten." Andrea added as the camera now focused on her. "And as you can see, we've got quite a lead at the top. Our reigning champions, Malta Comino Gozo, look set to take home another victory as they lead with 76 points. Then we've got our very own Manoy with 70 points. Third place is a bit of a drop, Pemecutan with 56. Fourth is the Alezian Union with 54. And finally we have Britonisea in fifth place with 51."

Nick then stepped forward and pointed towards the camera, letting out a small characteristic smirk-ish smile as he spoke. "But please, spare a thought for poor Antenovaria. They currently sit in last place with no points. Zip, zilch, nada, cero. We will make sure that Asilette Cortes gets a small consolation prize if she fails to bring home any points for her country. We don't like anyone going home empty handed."

Yoni then nodded before he carried on speaking. "Now, let's take a look at our top five. A flashing lights warning, though, folks at home."

This was then followed by a recap of the top five. Starting with the fifth place so far song Promise Me by Aaliyah Banques (sister of famed Britonish singer Kelsey Banques), we get a return of the clips that played during the official recap. They were mostly just bits from the choruses or any other important bits that happened during the show. Towards the end of each recap we then cut to the artist and their entourage cheering, waving signs and everything else that they do to not only show their appreciation towards the crowd but also to thank the people who have voted for her so far. There was a fade wipe as we then cut over to the recap of Quarter Again's song for the Alezian Union, which was sitting comfortably in fourth place. After a section of their performance and them cheering, we cut over to third placed Pemecutan and a segment of their song Nada Cinta. After Baladewa, Ayu Laksmi and their band waved and said their hellos we get a fade wipe. It then cut over to Manoy lifting his arm and snapping his fingers, which was met with a huge cheer from the crowd, as he gets into the second chorus of his song Underbelly, which was sitting in second place. After his performance and him and his entourage cheering we then get another fade wipe, which leads us into our current leader: Brooke Galea from Malta Comino Gozo with her song Don't Come Close. After her celebration, the screen turns into triangles with most of them turning to black. The rest that stayed on turned into a 90 before they faded to a shot of the audience applauding.

When that was over, we then cut over to Nick smiling and waving at the audience as he does a bit. "And those were your top five so far. A lovely selection there with some favourites and some super favourites. But will there be any change? Will there even be a new leader? Let's find out as we call... bah-bah-bah-bah-bah-bah-bah... the Achaean Republic! República Acayana! Hello, please may we have your votes?"
