just realized that nate's probably one of the only Macronesian OGs that could actually return to the US without going down in a hail of bullets the second someone sees him

which is very odd, considering that he's already long past the point of no return mentally and psychologically, but still not past the point of literal physical return

and Ross is the exact opposite; he's sane, but he's not going to get anywhere close to the US before he gets shot
