Yazovian Thought: Waldoon & Patriotism (P1)
In collaboration with: The Dodo Republic
July 16th 2021, 1:00PM, Moskva Airport

The Marshall was waiting for the arrival of his Dodoian counterpart: Admiral Waldoon. With Yazov's controlling most of the country, it was time to discuss the future of the TEA Organisation.

Yazov's Plans were still not clear, but one thing was sure: this visit was only the Beginning of something greater.

The Marshall looked his watch: the plane should have landed by now...

"They're late" Said Yazov
The Dodoian Plane landed, the Admiral and Head of State Waldoon Disembarked the plane.

"Greetings, Waldoon." said Yazov with a cold voice.
”Glad to finally meet your aquaintence” said Waldoon reaching out a hand to shake
Waldoon scans Yazov with his eyes , studying the leader

Yazov shook hands and said "We Have urgent issues to discuss, New Governement, New Agenda." with a dark tone.

Then a Flight of 5 Su-30 flew over them. Yazov Exclaimed: "Waldoon, the Confederation have hundreds of them, and without the UFAC former CEO, we will produce a thousand more. Now let's go, the Governement wants to know you".

“Very well then“ Waldoon would gesture to Yazov to lead the way, beforing fixing a button on his blue uniform.

Waldoon and Yazov entered in the presidential limousine, then the motorcade started the 30 drive towards the presidential Summer House. But then, half-way during the ride, the limousine broke off with 2 roof-top DSHk Armed UAZ Patriot from the motorcade.

"But first" said Yazov, "We will make a detour... Waldoon what's your view on Patriotism ?" said Yazov with a Cynical Tone.

“That is a rather interesting question” said Waldoon, “I find the love of the country to be of the most importance, to love the country and to promote a good national imagine is effective in solving problems that would cause division.”

Waldoon would press a hand on the seat cuchion of the limo
“Rather comfy, more so then back home” He would say.

"You will see in a moment the Russian definition of Patriotism, Waldoon." Said Yazov.

The 3 Cars drove for 15 minutes, they reached the outkisrts of the city and thus the Forrest surrounding Moskva. The 3 cars then turned right into a Dirt Road, the Rear UAZ Patriot stoped and established a roadblock behind them. The 2 remaining cars then joined a KGB Operation Camp 10 minutes up the road. They disembarked and walked into the Forrest. After 5 Minutes walking,Yazov and Waldoon with their Escorts joined a group of KGB Operators and a Group of Political dissidents. On site: the KGB made the Dissidents dig a pit, then made the dissidents jump into the pit.

Yazov took his Tokarev Pistol from his pocket and aimed at a Political Dissident inside the pit. "Waldoon" said Yazov "That's what happen when someone tries to betray the motherland" he then executed the dissident.

A Abrupt Silence took place for a brief moment. Then the KGB Firing Squad finished the job and executed the other ones.

Waldoon would try to cover his eyes, truning his head away from execution. He would look at the dead body on the floor, then back up at Yazov.

“What did he do?” Waldoon would ask, unsure of what else to say

"This Could have been you or anyone else, we are all mortals Waldoon" Yazov Said, "This Was the Matsrak Liberal Journalist Alfred Volkvalen, his crime was 'Treason' he was court martialed this morning and now he's dead, like the rest of prominent liberals."

A second group of Political dissidents camed out from the woods, the KGB made them jump into the pit

"A good ruler makes what is necessary to protect his motherland, I Killed thousands for my motherland, I need allies that can do the same Waldoon" Said Yazov. He then gave the Tokarev Pistol to Waldoon. "Are you a true patriot?" asked Yazov.

Shocked at what he was witnessing, Waldoon shakly took the pistol. “I have only seen an execution once before, my father was an Admiral as I am sure you know.” Waldoon would scan the pistol, trying to delay what he knows is going to happen. “Naval dissidents made an attempt at killing my father, car bomb... He personally shot them, all five…“ He would trail off before taking in a breath. “wich one?” He woukd ask.

"One of them Waldoon, One of them" Replied Yazov whilst looking at Waldoon.

Waldoon would swalow, looking at the faces of the inmates about to be killed, their crimes unknown to Waldoon. He would look to one indivudal, already looking sick, probably due to being kept in the GULAGs. Maybe I will just put him out of his missery, Waldoon would try to say to himself, trying to block out what he knows is murder.

The dissident looks up for a brief moment, his eyes full of regret and shame, a bleak tear flowing down before his head drops again from exaustion. Waldoon would raise the gun, before pausing to look at Yazov for aproval and then executed the inmate with two bullets. Marshall Yazov smiled.

"Kerensky said you were an Idiotic paranoid hipster, you proven me the opposite today" said Yazov as the KGB Firing Squad finished the job.

"Now let's walk in the Forrest shall we?" Yazov asked. Waldoon would nod his head, still shocked about what he witnessed, the image of that pour soul tears seconds before the shot replaying in his head.

The Admiral and the Marshall walked inside the Forrest, earing now and then fireshots from the KGB Firing Squad. They stumble uppon a Dirt road after 5 minutes. They walked for 5 minutes on it towards the south, before noticing a KGB BMP-1 Escorting 2 trucks full of GULAG inmates going down the road.

"My policy regarding Human rights is the same that Comrade Stalin Followed, Admiral, if 1% suffers for the 99% survival and Happiness, then you shot first and ask questions after." Said Yazov with a Cynical smile.

”So I would assume your Gulag system is...quite…efective…“ Waldoon would say.

The Convoy passes by them.

"The KGB receives a Dossier regarding a possible Traitor, a Dossier compiled by the local Police. The Treacherous acts are judged by the court martial the same day. The KGB, or the FSB under Kerensky, then proceeds to arrest the same day of the court ruling. You are interrogated, if they have suspicions or they arrive to the conclusion that you are innocent, your sent to the Gulag, if your declared Traitor or confess, your conducted to a firing squad and you die the same day of your arrest and trial" Said Yazov.

“Hmmmm” Waldoon would look off into the woods, « This is a Beautiful Woodland » He would say, letting Yazovs statements sit in his mind.

"Dread is everything in politics Waldoon" Said Yazov. "Now let's talk, the Krakczovians are irritating. The Navy will enforce a Blockade, your army is tasked to recapture the Archipel. I want you to take personal command Waldoon on those Beach landings" Yazov Said.

“I will notfiy the Blue House on this, is air support needed?” Waldoon would say.

"The Navy will provide it Waldoon, today you proven me that you were capable. Now it's time that tou transform this opportunity I given you into a fact" Said Yazov.

Two MiG-27's loaded with Napalm Bombs flew over them. "You see those MiG's ?" Said Yazov.

“Yes, I see” Waldoon would say, blocking out the sunlight while looking up above.

"They're heading towards a Rebell village that refused to submit to my rule. They will see what I've meant with Fire and Fury now. The Great Trial is all about killing the ones that want to see the Nation suffer" Said Yazov. "We will talk about the Futur of the TEA with the ACS delegation tomorrow during the summit" said Yazov

“Yes yes of course” Waldoon would say, before returning to the planes flying overhead. “But I thought the rebellion was crushed?”

"The Rebellion only has begun Waldoon. Most of the rebells submitted to my rule, but some villages are still running from my rule. It's only a question of weeks" said Yazov.

“Understandable. Many volunteers have come to your aid as you already know, how are they faring?” Waldoon would ask.

"They did well during the Battle for the Klagenfurt Suburbs, now Waldoon, tell me, what are you going to do when you will be taking up personal command for the land Army on the Krakczovian Issue ?" asked Yazov.

“I will discuss this issue with my generals and plan things accordingly, Dodoians have most certainly learned about Island landings. South Dodoia Island was attacked by the fascists back in 57, this was the last holdout for demoractic and warlord forces after the coalition was beaten off the mainland. The island managed to hold out for sevreal months before finally submitting due to bad planning on the Guards end of it” Waldoon would say.

"I See" Said a confused looking Yazov.

Then a Mi-8 helicopter flew over them and landed down the road. "It's getting late Waldoon, we'll talk about the rest tomorrow now let's go: the helicopter is waiting for us" he shouted.

“Alright, good talk” Waldoon would say, walking towards the chopper with Yazov.
*Both entered the helicopter and flew towards the Presidential Summer Residency, the following day they will have to wake up early to catch a plane to Matsrakia City... Now what will happen in the Futur, only God Knows...

To be continued...

Sabor Building
Hrvadagrad, Hrvada
17 July, 12:00

All morning, left-wing protesters had enveloped city streets across the Hrvadan Federation. The largest protest was in the capital city of Hrvadagrad where 20,000 people violently assaulted bystanders and looted businesses.

By mid-afternoon thousands of protesters marched across a river separating the main commercial district of the city from the district containing many of Hrvada’s main federal buildings. These protesters surrounded the parliament building while it was in-session. Hrvadagrad Police officers swiftly mobilized and pushed the instigators off the parliament grounds and back across the river before they could enter the building.

Pictures of the violence in Hrvadagrad as well as across the country flashed across TV screens in every home, restaurant, and bar in Hrvada. Many journalists misrepresented the violence and looting and labeled it as ”Constitutionally protected rioting.” Some moderate journalists were shocked by the events and said it justified, gave legitimacy to, and vindicated Republican party’s decision to negotiate with the Confederation.

Inside the building, Liberal and Social Democratic held up banners and shouted accusations at right-wing MPs, calling them “fascists” or “Ustaše.” Speaker Broz angrily called for order and instructed police officers inside the legislative chamber to confiscate any banners or other prohibited material from the rogue MPs.

Broz stood up behind the Speaker’s podium and violently smashed his gavel until the chamber was quiet. ”I have just received a joint statement from the Republican and Confederation floor managers that the two parties have negotiated an agreement and are ready to move forward with a vote… The floor is open to all if any motions.”

Multiple people across the chamber stood up. The Speaker ultimately recognized a Conservative from Prijat. ”I move to vote on confidence in the proposed government.” The right side of the chamber thunderously yelled ”Second!”

On the other side of the chamber, a group of left-wing MPs stood up and started booing. Again, Broz violently tried to gavel them down. ”Will the Sergeant-at-arms please restore order in the chamber!” He yelled.

The MPs eventually yielded as multiple police officers approached them and threatened to remove them from the chamber.

A female Liberal stood up without recognition. ”I object to moving forward with a vote! This is the beginning of a Fascist Hrvada, and Speaker Broz’s strongman actions today are proof of that!” She screamed.

”Out of order!” Broz yelled back. ”There will be no objections, there will be no debate!”

Seeing that order had been re-established, the Speaker of the Sabor stood up again. ”Very well, seeing as there’s a second, may the clerk begin a roll call vote?”

The results were the following: (Yes-No-Abstain)

Confederation: 63-0-0
Conservative: 30-0-0
Republican: 0-1-52
Liberal: 0-53-0
Social Democratic: 0-39-2
Green: 0-35-0
Communist: 0-17-0
Independent: 0-0-8

TOTAL: 93-145-62

The Speaker stood up, ”With only 145 votes against, a minority of the parliament, the proposed government has the needed number of votes to achieve confidence.”

After the vote, the sole Republican MP who voted against confidence defected to the Liberal Party. The two Social Democratic MPs who abstained were ejected from the party caucus by SDP leaders.

Government Press Room
Hrvadagrad, Hrvada
17 July, 15:00

The cameras of reporters quickly clicked as Prime Minister Slanin strided into the government press briefing room. He confidently stepped upto the modern-looking podium, set an open bider on the top of it, and adjusted the microphone
He smirked. ”Thank you for showing up to my first press event… You know, the press is the enemy of the people and answering to you crooks is really the last thing I want to do right now. But alas, my advisors say holding a conference like this is tradition so I begrudgingly sand here before you right now. So who has a question?”

The entire group of supporters raised their hands. Slanin pointed at a reporter from Financije, a moderate business journal.

”Hello, honorable Prime Minister… What is the first item on your government’s legislative agenda that you plan to move forward with?” Asked the reporter.

”Good question. Sometime this week we plan to move forward with a schedule of sanctions against the State of Kevoria until they stop the damn boats! We need to take a stand against illegal immigration and the exportation of drugs and crimes onto our shores.” Replied Slanin.

Next was a reporter from HCTV.

”Hi. What will your response be to the protests across the country in response to your election.” Asked the journalist.

”These violent riots are appalling and damage the sanctity of our democracy. I plan to work closely with President Kovačević as well as government and law enforcement officials in Hrvadagrad and each of the 14 provinces in order to quash these rioters. Confronting the mob, not giving into its demands, is the only way to stop and prevent riots like this in the future.” Responded Slanin.

The next question was asked by a reporter from a conservative-leaning local paper in Pijemont.

”Hello, sir. What’s your response to the situation in Vostochnyye?” Inquired the reporter.

”I will work hard alongside our new Minister for Defense, Miša Kovalchuk, to untangle the situation there and find Hrvada’s place in it. I will tell you that the Confederation ran on a non-interventionist, pacifist platform in last month’s election and Hrvada’s place will not be to put boots on the ground.” Replied the Prime Minister.

The next question was from the Furbish-publication FBC News.

”Hi. On 11 July, Furbish Stadtholder Richard Melberg uploaded a viral video to his social media mocking you, MP Hrabar, and Confederation campaign rhetoric. Your response? ” Questioned the Furbish journalist.

”Frankly, it’s embarrassing. World leaders need to be held to a higher standard. Not only was his impression of me terrible, I’ve seen much better; he mocked a young girl who’s doing a really good thing by trying to get more Hrvadan youth involved in the political process.”

“Ultimately, I think the most embarrassing part is that he’s a lightweight who can’t hold his liquor. He was a complete mess in that video yet I only counted a few beers and one or two shots. Very, very disappointing!” Answered Slanin as both journalists and some advisors in the room laughed at the quip.

The final question was asked by a reporter from a liberal-leaning local paper in Crkvaska.

”Good afternoon, Mr. Slanin. With a vacancy on the Grand Council, who do you plan to put on the body?” Asked the reporter.

”Great question. I plan to abstain from making a nomination myself, but I’m hearing a lot of good suggestions by Confederation and Conservative MPs. I personally like the idea of adding Aleksandr Kostelecký, a Hrvadan patriot who’s popular radio program has woken many up to some of the bad things that have been happening in Hrvada every day. Thank you.” Answered the Prime Minister.

Slanin picked up his binder and walked away from the podium as the flickering sound of camera flashes again filled the room. His next stop would be a large parade and then a ball held in his honor.

FBC Broadcaſting Centre, Capital Diſtrict
Ðe United Provinces and Territories of ðe Furbiſh Iſlands

Evening, Saturday, 17 July 2021

Ivan Maslica was born in Hrvada and grew up there until he immigrated to . There, he became a comedian and writer, eventually creating and becoming the host of his own late night comedy show, Laſt Week ToniȜt, aired live every Saturday, filmed with a live in the FBC Broadcaſting Centre, where he discusses events of the previous week, most time being spent on one main topic. He is given the freedom to criticize any individual or corporation he wants, which he uses liberally, including at his own parent company. The previous week has seen a lot of events. The stadtholder and three senior ministers came back from official visits to Logar and Dunferm to discuss the increasingly belligerent Eastern Federation, while their civil war has mostly ended. National Aſſembly coalition talks continued. A few days before, the Liberal Party threatened to walk out of coalition talks, after with the Progreſſive Union sent offers for talks to the Chriſtian Democratic Union and Liberal Union, though the Liberal Party did not seem to follow through on their threat.

“Now as you all know, Stadtholder Melberg recently posted a video from his flight home from Dunferm that went viral. Let’s have a listen.” said Maslica, and the beginning of the video played.

“Naomi Hrabar is now their youngest ever MP who somehow got elected despite her racist KlePet videos. Claiming that women belong in the kitchen then running for office.” said Deputy Prime Miniſter of Foreign Affairs Georgia Pascarelli.

“I am betting twenty guilders that anyone who voted for her does not know anything she said or how she looks like above her neck.” replied Prime Miniſter Thomas Norup, and everyone else on the plane laughed, and so did the audience.

“Hrabar is the least of their problems.” said Stadtholder Richard Melberg, then the video ended.

“Naomi Hrabar is a 19 year old politician of the far right wing Confederation Party in Hrvada”, said Maslica, with a map of Hrvada on the screen, “A country you think so little about, you didn’t realize, that’s not Hrvada, that’s a potato crisp.”. Everyone laughed as the outline filled in to show it was a potato chip. The screen then showed a real map of Hrvada, as Maslica said “This is Hrvada. Now if you heard of Hrabar, it was likely from her racist and misogynistic KlePet videos.”. One of these videos then played, with translations in subtitles. “Hoooly shit.” said Maslica, “There are more of these where that came from too. Prime Miniſter Thomas Norup may be right here. But as Stadtholder Richard Melberg said, she is the least of their problems. Here is the rest of the video.”

“Hrabar is the least of their problems, they are set to have a far right led coalition in power.” said Melberg. He drank more of his beer, then grabbed the hand of his wife, who looked equally drunk, they stood up, he kissed her, then began in Lukas Slanin’s voice, “Folks, I am here to bring you a message of optimism! Our economy is about to collapse because there are no Hrvadan cars in The Furbish Islands, folks! It’s there fault we can’t make cars that fit in their roads! The demonic elites and millionaires and business owners are putting our people out of work, so vote for me, the fat milliardaire tourism business owner to fix your problems! We will prove the pollsters who say we are losing wrong, because we are actually winning, as shown in the real polls, not the fake polls that say we are losing, folks! I will solve all problems caused by our aging population by ending immigration! I will solve our crime and drug problems not through tried and tested solutions like rehabilitation and social welfare programs like in The Furbish Islands, no, those are fake policies the elites lie about to keep themselves in power, nevermind that they are paying higher taxes because of them! We will instead do the real policies, folks, the ones that will truly solve our problems, like refusing to give contraceptives to people in poverty and make sure impoverished women are unable to terminate their pregnancies! The elites are telling you none of my policies will work but that’s because they want to make us suffer! Now vote for me, folks, someone who lied to you about everything like how the establishment let you down, to let people make their own choices! Now put on your walking boots and start knocking on doors and handing out pamphlets even though it’s 2021 and the internet exists!”. Throughout the whole speech people on the plane were laughing, and so was the live audience.

“And that leads us to our main story tonight, the global rise in right wing populism.” said Maslica, “In that video Melberg made fun of Lukas Slanin, a clown wrapped in mummified foreskin and cotton candy, and the leader of the Confederation Party. Most Furbishmen likely know him from his appearance at the now infamous AFTFI rally at Saint-Sébastien less than two weeks away from the election. His speech was mocked endlessly by all except for supporters of AFTFI, who stood by everything he said, which is the problem with right wing populists, but we will get to that later. Here is Slanin with AFTFI leader Chad Grosderhan, The Furbish Islands’ wealthiest hemorrhoid.”. The audience laughed as a picture of them embracing at the rally was shown. “While all Furbish parties have an agreement to never form a coalition with AFTFI, this is not the case in Hrvada, where just today a Confederation lead coalition won the confidence vote and Slanin was sworn in as Prime Minister.” Maslica continued, “This was followed by riots in the capital. Some journalists claimed these caused the coalition to be justified, but as a Liberal MP said, this is likely a beginning to a fascist Hrvada. Slanin had plenty to say in a press conference.”

A video of the press conference played. Slanin called the press “crooks” and “enemies of the people”. He then said he planned to not intervene in the Eastern Federation, and responded to a Furbish reporter asking about Melberg’s video saying “Frankly, it’s embarrassing. World leaders need to be held to a higher standard. Not only was his impression of me terrible, I’ve seen much better; he mocked a young girl who’s doing a really good thing by trying to get more Hrvadan youth involved in the political process. Ultimately, I think the most embarrassing part is that he’s a lightweight who can’t hold his liquor. He was a complete mess in that video yet I only counted a few beers and one or two shots. Very, very disappointing!”.

“Now there is a lot to unpack here.” said Maslica, “The Eastern Federation is likely the greatest threat to global peace. They are infringing on the sovereignty of the Dodo Republic and Antarctic Circle State though The Eastern Axis, and ignored Furbish requests to not intervene in the East Eastovakian civil war. We need all the allies we can get, but Slanin’s foreign policy will only do a disservice. Now the girl ‘getting youth into politics’ he is defending a racist a misogynist. Melberg also responded to this statement on social media.”

His statement was shown, where he said “I drank a lot more beers than visible in that video, and I was in the air. I’d like to see how many shots you can take.”

As the audience laughed, Maslica continued, “As the news was announced, the only politician to congratulate Slanin was Grosderhan. He also repeated his statements claiming other Furbish politicians were irresponsible and need to be held to a higher standard. Others, including Melberg, Norup, and opposition leaders Floris Hutters and Arthur Trudeau, posted statements talking about the worrying rise of right wing populism and its evils.”

Maslica spent the rest of the episode talking about the history of right wing populist movements in The Furbish Islands and Hrvada, how Slanin became Prime Minister, debunking many of the policies on the platforms of the Confederation Party and AFTFI including many of the racist ones, pointing out many of the lies both parties had on the campaign trail, then warned what the future held for Hrvada, which will likely see democratic backsliding as Slanin turns himself into a dictator on the promise of removing government corruption, and how Grosderhan would have likely done the same had most other Furbish parties not had an agreement to never form a coalition with them.

“Now before I end on a depressing note.” said Maslica, “I want to see if Slanin lied about one more thing. I want to challenge both Stadtholder Melberg and Prime Minister Slanin to a competition to see who can drink the most beers.”. The audience laughed harder. “No, I’m serious.” said Maslica, “I challenge both of you to call me from a bar. To make it fair, I will supply all of the beers. And if you do, I will donate 25,000 guilders to Furbish charities and non-profits and 25,000 to Hrvadan charities and non-profits.”. The names of several groups flashed on screen as he said that. “That is 50 thousand guilders to charity for drinking beers that I will buy. You have nothing to lose!”

100 Years in the Making

The monarchist movement to restore the Zlatakoruna dynasty is concentrated deep in the Obri Mountains in the provinces of Upper Umyvadlo, Cernabrana and Orildomov; which have been historically seen as separate throughout most of the history of the region, originally refer to as Velkavia.

It was annexed by the The Tsardom of Ravniny in 1902, the former King Maxmilian II and his family found themselves demoted in title to ducal ones yet still retained a small amount of control over Velkavia. Following the October Revolution the Zlatakoruna family fled to Logar and remained in exile until 1990. Once the USSRK collapsed the Great Grandson of Maxmilian, Gustav and his daughter Martina Romana returned to the nation and have since applied for full citizenship and recognition within East Estovakia. Using the sizbale amount of wealth they had, they were able to purchase Klidneudoli Manor from the government and reside there now.

Martina Romana has spearheaded an effort in see the monarchy's return in East Estovakia, creation of the pro monarchy political party 'The Restoration Movement''. It saw little success outside of Upper Umyvadlo, Cernabrana and Orildomov.

Ashamed with the current political and administration situation in these regions, she has begun to use her vast wealth to help maintain schools, hospitals and other important services that the government have not been able to support. This has only added in growing her support and with the collapse of the police in these areas many have begun forming 'Royal Guards' to try and police and reduce crime.

Many of those who criticise the monarchy movement point to Martina's lack of clarity of what a government headed by her as monarch will look like, some point out she could impose an absolutist regime. On the other hand many point to her charity and commitment towards the public being a sign she understands the needs of the people and will not be against a constitutional regime.

Regardless of the future, Lady Martina Romana Zlatakoruna has always had the ambition of transforming the nation, so perhaps a civil war is just what she requires to begin it.

"When my family fled in exile to comfort in Logar, the nation had suffered. 100 Years later this suffering is still apparent and active. A dysfunctional government is damaging the health and safety of all Estovakians. Free from my exile; I, Martina Romana Zlatakoruna, Great Granddaughter of King Maxmilian II and heir apparent to my family's title, hereby declare that the struggle of the Estovakian people's are my own. Without rest or respite I shall remain committed and dedicated to stomping out these struggles and bring East Estovakia the prosperity and peace it so rightfully deserves!"

Within the Shadow of a Giant

The Pro-Vostoc movement is one of the youngest in the nation. Its aims and goals are simple, to further increase the cooperation and reconciliation with Vostochnyye Ravniny.

Citing the potential of economic growth from reconciliation and the benefits of having a strong ally to support East Estovakia, the Pro Vostoc group does its best to sell the idea to the general population.

Its leader Vladislav Moravec was born to a Russian father and East Estovakian mother and has been the leader since its founding in 1996, being a former member of the National Conservative Party before its collapse he fundamentally believes that idea of the 'Giant on the border' is being used as nothing more than excuse to maintain the absurd amount of military spending and used a tool of fear to stop the population from criticising the government.

The movement is split into two key areas, the city of Linareka on the border with Vostochnyye Ravniny and area located in south eastern Estovakia. This is due t both areas having a high concentration of Russian and Estovakia-Russian mixed nationalities in the region. The movement is highly negative of the current government and its outright hostility to Vostochnyye Ravniny, while not only seeking to amend relations, they propose an overhaul of the current political system into a parliamentary republic and call for a greater accountability of the government.

Despite promises of potential economic growth and a further entrenchment of democracy, to many the memory of the USSRK is still living...even far leftist politicians that admire the USSRK are unwilling to work with Vostochnyye Ravniny in its current government, while those who do not view the USSRK in a positive light proclaim that Moravec is nothing more than an agent of the KGB looking to undermine the sovereignty of East Estovakia. However Moravec believes that his solution will be the best for East Estovakia in the long run and that full cooperation with Vostochnyye Ravniny will bring a new golden era to East Estovakia.

Image
The sooner we remove the silly idea that the giant to the East will crush us, the sooner we can put more money into schools, hospitals and communities. More cooperation means more money, more trade means more money...More ah-uh-um peace means more money?

The Bell of Ravenspire

Country-National Conservative Goverment appointed

RAVENSPIRE, 19th July (The Bell) - Yesterday evening, Sir Siegried Akema, leader of the Country Party, has been summoned to His Majesty the King to receive the announcement of appointment of a new government. This largely ceremonial audience marks the end of coalition negotiations and instalment of a new government, with a vote of confidence by both Houses of the Diet a day after the Solemn Opening of a new session. Country and National-Conservative, two leading right-wing parties, have won the largest share of votes by appealing to issues of administrative, civil, and tax reforms, combined with concern over the growing instability of the international affairs, have promised a half-decade of stability and security.

The coalition talks, traditionally started by the largest party in the lower house, have been rather unusually fast than normally, which can be explained by the pressure of the House of Peers and the Privy Council, who, according to one unnamed source, 'wished not to run the government alone instead of proper ministry', Siegfried Akema, formateur of the Country Party, now Prime Minister, undoubtably had no other choice, but to go to the National Conservatives, who enjoyed the biggest swing of seats, and alone possessed enough seats to form a majority government.

The Coalition Cabinet announced this morning saw the beginning of reversing of recent Folksliberal reforms, including reversal of merging posts of Minister of Education with Minister of Social Affairs, and the seat of Deputy Prime Minister still lies in the other chamber, despite calls of abolition. A rather queer change was by appointment of Foreign Minister, Sir Hinata Tanaka, a long-serving diplomat and strategist in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Umitaku-Dunfermian community, marking the first time a non-white person was appointed to this post. Veterans' welfare allegedly was transferred back from the jurisdiction of Social Affairs Ministry back to the Ministry of War, however the Bell of Ravenspire has not received confirmation for this claim yet.

The New Cabinet:

1. Prime Minister – Sir Siegfried Arkema (Country)
2. Deputy Prime Minister - Daniel Louis Hilmar, Marquess of Tarshen (NC)
3. State Justiciar – Anthony Friedrich, Marquess of Bamien (Country)
4. Minister of Foreign Affairs – Sir Hinata Tanaka (NC)
5. Minister of Treasury and Exchequer - Stephan Victor, Lord Keslen (Country)
6. Minister of War – Marshal Emanuel Holm (Non-Aligned)
7. Minister of Heritage and National Culture – Dame Agnes Vinter (NC)
8. Minister of Agriculture – Mark Ness (Country)
9. Minister of Social Affairs – Diana Nerup (Country)
10. Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Development – Ronald Hagen (NC)
11. Minister of Ecclesiastical Affairs – Samuel Albin, Count of Sjoln (NC)
12. Minister of Home Affairs and Crown Domains – Martin Jean, Viscount Satte (NC)
13. Minister of Environment and Natural Conservation – Agathe Milne (NC)
14. Minister of Enlightenment – Oda Lind (NC)
15. Minister of Roads and Transport – Sindre Rudd (NC)
16. Ministry of Energy and Information – Ronalda Sterling (NC)
Adeste fideles laeti triumphantes,
Venite, venite in Bethlehem.

Sabor Building

The floor of Parliament was much quieter than it was during the confidence vote. Members sitting on the left side of the body hadn’t yet accepted by the fact that they were bested by a group of populist misfits who want a go at mixing politics up, but they were surely going through the stages of grief while realizing that the new government wouldn’t instantly bring about a fascist Hrvadan reich. In fact, four of the most radical Confederation MPs had just been expelled from the party as part of the “July Agreement” with the Republicans.

Other major developments that took place after the swearing-in of the new government included a change in leadership in the Republican party and the formation of the Social Credit party by ten pro-Slanin SDP MPs who either resigned or were expelled from that party.
Looking specifically at the case of the Republicans, former Prime Minister Stjepanić resigned after the party’s embarrassing show in June’s election. She was swiftly replaced by Ksyusha Boszczyk, a rising star within the Christian Democratic-wing of the party. She had previously expressed admiration for Slanin and was said to be one of the people responsible for tanking the Liberal-Republican negotiations, a perfect fit for a leader within the Confederation-Republican right-wing unity government.

Rumors that there would be a leadership spill against Leon Adamić in the Social Democratic party or that the Liberals would choose someone stronger than Sara Radić to lead the opposition also filled the chamber.

Speaker of Parliament Frano Broz, one of the most hated men in Hrvadan politics after the events of July, approached his podium. He authoritatively hit his gavel and called the chamber to order.

”We will move immediately into debate over S.B. #0001 - Secure Wall Act of 2021. The right honorable member from Prijat and author of this legislation is recognized for one minute.”

Jože Kravchenko, the large Deputy Minister for Migration, stood up.

”Thank you Mr. Speaker. During June’s election, the Confederation promised the people of Hrvada that we would aggressively combat the exportation of illegal migrants from Pijie to Hrvada; today we’re keeping that promise.”

”This legislation allocates ₭21 Billion from the budget of the Hrvadan Armed forces that would have been used to bankroll the murder of children in the Eastern Federation to the Ministry for Migration in order to build a wall across our northern border as well as hire 5,000 more Hrvadan Border Patrol and Migration Law Enforcement agents.”

”The government expects this to be a highly successful program that will immediately decrease illegal border crossings by at least 5% by the end of this year, and upwards of 75% six years down the line when we predict the wall will be finished.”

”This legislation creates thousands of construction and public-sector jobs and is a start at reducing the illegal migration fiscal blackhole, and I urge all members to vote yes. Thank you.”

”Thank you, Minister.” Replied the Speaker. ”The member from Crvenboje is recognized.”

The Liberal Shadow Deputy Minister for Migration, stood up.

”The right honorable gentleman talks about an ‘illegal migration fiscal blackhole’ when the real ‘fiscal blackhole’ is this legislation. Allocating ₭21 Billion from our soldiers to a wall migrants can just jump or fly over is a preposterous plan. Liberals have always supported securing our border, that’s why we ran on building a ‘technological wall’ more fit for the 21st century as well as implementing a scheme to invest in countries like Pijie so people don’t have to flee in the first place. I strongly suggest this chamber votes no and I implore members to consider a more sane solution to this problem.”

Next, a Conservative MP was recognized.

”I thank the chair. Mr. Speaker., by Government calculations the Federation loses almost ₭500 Billion every year thanks to illegal migration. The provincial and federal governments pay for these migrants to collect benefits or go to our schools, while getting absolutely nothing in return as they aren’t paying their taxes. I firmly believe that if the members on the left side of this chamber want to fund their programs like universal healthcare, they can find the money by voting yes today and eliminating the billions of kunas we waste on illegal migrants.”

”Although medieval sounding, building a thirty-foot wall on our border is the cheapest and most effective way to combat illegal migration despite what opposition members say.”

Finally, a Communist MP was recognized.

”Although this may be a moderately effective plan, we have to consider the environmental impacts of building a concrete wall across our border. We may want to stop the migration of people, but we don’t want to stop the migration of wildlife. That’s why I submitted an amendment to you Mr. Speaker changing every instance of the word ‘concrete’ in this legislation to ‘steel slat.’ I believe that would make this legislation more eco-friendly and maybe easier for some of us in the Green Socialist coalition easier to swallow.”

After a few words were exchanged regarding the Communist MP’s amendment, the suggestion moved to a vote and passed with widespread support. After that, cloture was invoked and the Broz moved to voting procedures over the entire legislation.

”May the clerk begin a roll call vote?” The Speaker of the Sabor commanded.

The results were the following: (Yes-No-Abstain)

Confederation: 59-0-0
Liberal: 0-53-1
Republican: 51-0-1
Social Democratic: 1-37-1
Green: 0-31-4
Conservative: 30-0-0
Communist: 6-8-3
Social Credit: 10-0-0
Alliance of Rights: 4-0-0

TOTAL: 161-129-10

”On a vote of 161 to 129 to 10, the legislation passes and shall immediately be delivered to the President and await assent.”

The media surrounded President Miloš Kovačević as S.B. #0001 was delivered to his desk. The Confederation’s first legislative victory, a historic feat, was expected to receive his assent. Camera flash filled the room as an intern delivered a professional looking black binder with the bill in it to the President. Kovačević opened the binder and used three pens, each to sign a section of his name on the legislation. After assent was given and the legislation was officially effective, he instructed another intern to deliver one of the pens to the Prime Minister as well as both Deputy Prime Ministers.

After the event, the day wasn’t over. Kovačević had been working with his diplomatic team to put the final touches on plans to tour the Eastern Federation, his first foreien-trip as President of the Hrvadan Federation.

Government of the Eastern Federation

To whom it may concern,

As Head of State of the Federation of Hrvada; it is one of my duties to tour, immerse myself in the culture of, and educate myself about the issues facing other global states in order to make more logical decisions as President.

The Eastern Federation was named in today’s session of parliament, and although in third person this time, I see conflict in your nation becoming a more contentious topic of debate and focus of the new government of Hrvada in the future. Half of my nation believes that we have a moral obligation to involve ourselves while the other half believes that we ought to pursue a policy of isolation.

For this reason, I would like to kindly ask for accommodations for me and my diplomatic team for a state visit in order to prepare myself to lead my country in the best possible and most unifying way when legislation involving your state reaches my desk.

23 July 2021

In the Secretary of the Palace's Office within the majestic Palace of Villanova, the residence of the emperor and the latter's workplace, Capri had received this morning an order from Emperor Adrian I to write short, direct letters to the president's of the ACS and the Dodo Republic. Such letters were of informal occasions in which the emperor was gonna make a visit to the ACS and then Dodo Republic to have a chat with their leaders, maybe at once or separately depending on the situation, travelling to the foreign countries in the HIMY Guzman. The letters were simple in nature, quickly written by Capri under the Shield of the Government, the Crest of the Palace and the Greater Arms of Logar, and sent to both countries' governments announcing that the emperor planned to make his trips on 24 July.

23rd July

2021

Presidential Residence in Craborg

The steam coming off the morning cup of coffee for President Waldoon blows off into the castles stale air. Waldoon for his sake, is happy to finally return home from a trip to Vostok that still shakes him to his core. Yazov… Waldoon always thought something was off with him, but that visit more or less proves it. Waldoon allied with a nation that doesn’t have any of the same ideals. “Hippes” he called the Dodoians, how dare Yazov. But nothing Waldoon could do. Because in reality, Yazov was right, Waldoon… was scared. But what is Waldoon going to do? Submit and bow to the Furbish to claim there right? Let them laugh in the face of the Dodo Republic even more then they already do? And the alliance with Vostok is giving the DR rather good economic deals… And the investment is paying off… All of this is on Waldoons poor mind, endlessly circling in his mind like Giant Falconaries over a dead Deerbird. All he wants is for the Dodo Republic to be fine after all, all he wants is for the nation to be friendly with everyone else.. He never wanted a Cold War. But now, there is no turning back he assumes.

As per usual, Waldoon takes it out on his cup of coffee, a morning routine of his that he occasionally wishes to quit, considering how jittery he gets when anxious. That by the way, is often. He takes a look off into the castles grand hall, to witch he sips coffee at far end of. The castle. Known as Castle Boombird, was inherited by Waldoon by his father, Grand Admiral during the Civil War. It’s grand facade overlooking one of the mountain passes south of the mountains, standing tall and proud since the 16th century.

All of a sudden the clack of footsteps breaks the silence of the morning, one of Waldoons secretaries, one of many, steps into the grand hall, holding a folder in her hand. “Logar’s emperor wants you over for a chat with the President of Antarctica.” She says, delivering the letter, before stumbling out on high heals that probably are too small for her.

Waldoon opens the letter with a pocket knife that he keeps at all times, it is indeed an invitation by Adrian. The President doesn’t need to read anymore then the first few sentences before accepting. After all, he’d rather have a meeting with an ally and a femboy then a deranged dictator who’s idea of fun is hunting people like there animals. Waldoon would grab a nearby laptop and type up a quick response.

To His Majesty Adrian

I will certainly accept the invitation for a meeting, I have much I wish to discuss with you, and I humbly thank you for the kind thought. I shall be arriving via my private Yacht the Blue Dodo sometime tomorrow,

Best regards

President Waldoon

Good enough he thinks hitting send and closing the computer. He then swings his chair around and grabs a phone to call his secretary. “Make sure to call the dockyards in Sparowgull to set the boat up, I’m going to Logar, I guess notify the government as well” he says with a chuckle before going hanging up. Welp, with that taken care of Waldoon swings his chair back around and goes back to drinking his coffee, as the morning isn’t even ten minutes later.

Tvrtko Biklos Memorial Air Base
Ferfaks, Pijemont
24 July, 23:30 local time

In the dead of the night, the Minister for International Trade Ludwik Ivanov pulled up to the government jet in a black Capricorn Pioneer SUV. He stepped out of the vehicle onto the tarmac and greeted President Kovačević.

The president gazed at the Minister. ”My advisors said you were a last minute addition to this trip. What are you doing here, this trip wasn’t supposed to be for government business.”

”I know, I know.” Replied the Minister. ”But we recently received further contact from the Eastern Confederacy government that they would like to start purchasing military aerospace products from Hrvada. I plan to just tease an BM-10 X at their airshow and figure out why they want to start importing foreign products.”
”And what if they actually make an offer?” Inquired the President.

”We’ll have to figure that out if it happens. Making such a deal polls well but there’s external pressure from countries like the Furbish Islands and Dunferm not to do such a thing.” Replied the Minister.

The men slowly walked up a long set of stairs leading up to a large and modern Božena 800 jetliner. The taxi lights on the plane illuminated its blue livery with a large white double-headed eagle on the vertical stabilizer.

The door into the plane led into a cramped galley but the rest of the cabin was large and spacious. The next room over was the jet’s dining area, after that was a large living area which included a snack bar and a large television. Towards the back of the plan were bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, meeting areas, and seating for media and other lower personnel.

The plane taxied to the runway along with three BM-10 X fighter jets that would not only offer some security to the Hrvadan plane, but would be featured at the Confederacy’s MAKS airshow.

Moments later, the plane was cleared for takeoff by the tower and it finally made its way towards its destination.

Cabinet Meeting Room, Capital Diſtrict
Ðe United Provinces and Territories of Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands

Morning, Sunday, 25 July 2021

“Some TV show host promised to donate fifty thousand guilders to charity if you and Slanin have a drinking contest.” said Prime Minister Þomas Norup.

“Let me guess, Ivan Maslica?” Stadtholder Richard Melberg.

“Yes.” said Norup, as laughed with Melberg and the rest of the cabinet, “It’s been all over social media and there’s been more people attempting to up the offer. There’s also been a few petitions that reached tens of thousands of signatures.”

“He’s been doing these stunts for a while.” Melberg said, “He made a massive cake featuring the late Emperor August falling off a horse, created a diseased lung to serve as a mascot for tobacco companies, made an entire musical number mocking the CEO of an oil company who tried to sue him, then half the National Aſſembly cites his episodes the next day, if not during.”

“He is better at influencing public policy than most politicians.” said Norup, “And plenty of elections.”

“Not entirely.” replied Melberg, “Four years ago he spent half an episode making all sorts of jokes about me only for me to defeat all my opponents he supported by a landslide.”

As they laughed, the door opened, Deputy Prime Miniſter of Foreign Affairs Georgia Pascarelli walked in, holding a briefcase in her right hand and a coffee in her left, while looking visibly jetlagged.

“How was the meeting?” asked Deputy Prime Miniſter of Defence Frederick Carr.

Pascarelli sat down and took a sip of coffee, then took out her laptop and a stack of papers. “I was unable to come to any agreement.” she said, “After that I was ready to get the hell out of here. My husband told me this is a death trap.”

“What terms did they refuse?” Norup asked.

“They were willing to agree to a non-aggression pact and to not interfere in each others’ politics, but not agreeing to not interfere in the politics of other countries. Including not intervening in the East Estovakian civil war.” said Pascarelli, “But they agreed to similar terms with Dunferm.”

“That does not add up, and just another in the list of strange happenings with them.” said Carr, “Their civil war lasted all of one week when the rebels had modern equipment. And the FSS director said nine oligarchs haven’t been heard from for a week and a half. Nine of the most powerful people of their country don’t just disappear like that.”

“They don’t.” said Pascarelli, “You’re right, now that I think of it. And there is one more thing. Dodobrain sent us a letter.”

“Something else about how politicians with decades of experience need to stop assuming things that a thirty year old knows better?” blurted out Trade Miniſter Oſcar Roetlin.

“He’s reconsidering being in the eastern axis.” said Pascarelli. “Have a read for yourselves.” she said, putting the letter on the table next to a dozen different translations after all were silent but looked at her in disbelief.

After reading, Carr shook his head and sarcastically said “Poor bastard.”. The rest of the cabinet laughed. He continued, “We bloody warned them.”

“The next government will likely agree with my stance.” said Norup, “Tell them to leave. If foreign investment is what they are after, we are willing to offer it. And that we will be willing to defend them if the Eastern Confederacy dares to touch them.”

The rest nodded. “They are not ready for a war on this scale.” said Carr, “DR is not an easy target to conquer anyway, and they know. Long term we need an alliance, Dunferm and Logar agreed with us that the balance of power needs to be maintained. As for DR, until 29 year old dodobrain is gone from office and massive changes are done in their government, and the public quits treating us like a joke, I don’t recommend an alliance when them.”

“They can be our cannon fodder.” said Melberg, and everyone laughed.

“You are right actually.” said Carr, “If God forbid we go to war, they can serve as a distraction as we land our own army, from Attancia perhaps.”

“Attancia would be a potentially useful ally.” said Pascarelli, “As well as Fluvannia and Hrvada. Though coalition talks are being finalized so approaching them will be a task for the next government.”
Your Excellency, Preſident Waldoon of ðe Dodo Republic,

Ðe events you deſcribed in the Eastern Confederacy ſhow ðat ðeir values are incompatible wiþ ðe democratic values of ðe Dodo Republic. As we have before, we ſtrongly recommend ðe Dodo Republic to wiþdraw from the Eaſtern Axis immediately.

Should ðe Eastern Confederacy attempt to attack ðe Dodo Republic, Ðe United Provinces and Territories of Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands will come to ðe Dodo Republic’s aid.

Companies of Ðe United Provinces and Territories of Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands are more ðan willing to inveſt in ðe Dodo Republic.

Georgia Pascarelli, Deputy Prime Miniſter of Foreign Affairs of Ðe United Provinces and Territories of Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands

National Aſſembly Debate Chamber, Capital Diſtrict
Ðe United Provinces and Territories of Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands

Early evening, Sunday, 25 July 2021

“Madam President, the Conſervative Party, Liberal Party, and Liberty and the parties of the Chriſtian Democratic Union and Liberal Union have reached an agreement to nominate His Excellency Deputy Arthur Trudeau as Prime Miniſter.” said Floris Hutters, leader of the Liberal Union, who as part of the agreement was set to become the Deputy Prime Miniſter of Foreign Affairs.

Chaos broke out within the chamber almost immediately. Deputies from several parties shouted at each other upon hearing the statement, voicing their disagreement over the coalition, many being Progreſſive Union members angry at the CDU for forming their own coalition rather than continuing their confidence and supply agreement. Some anger was directed at the Liberal Party, which due to its centrist position has made it on nearly every coalition in recent history. Most anger was coming from the far right wing populist Alternative for Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands, which has been left out of negotiations as all parties hold an agreement to not form a coalition with them due to their extremist views. “Order, order!” shouted Andrea Olſen, the Preſident of the National Aſſembly, while slamming her gavel. She was seated at the front in the middle of the chamber. Beside her was Stadtholder Richard Melberg, usually only present in special occasions like the appointment of a new Prime Miniſter. In front of them were the vice presidents of the National Aſſembly, one for every large party, except for AFTFI, whose candidates were repeatedly voted down by the other parties. Like most times the president called for order, most did not listen.

Tired of the arguing, Olſen was able to do one more thing as president, muting all microphones except for Melberg’s. “As Stadtholder of Ðe United Provinces and Territories of Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands,” he said, “I nominate His Excellency Deputy Arthur Trudeau to the position of Prime Miniſter.”

Other deputies went quiet as Melberg spoke, but the silence was short lived. Hutters managed to say “I motion for a vote of confidence for His Excellency Deputy Trudeau.” while shouting around him continued.

“I object to this nomination!” shouted an AFTFI deputy, “His Excellency Deputy Trudeau is yet another rat in this swamp. He claims the CDU is the party for the people, but he is the first to give it to the people without lubricant! AFTFI is the true party for the common man!”

“For the party of the common man, you sure do a lot for the top 1%!” shouted a PU deputy, “Your leader is a wealthy business owner and Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands’ wealthiest hemorrhoid!”

Chad Grosderhan, the leader of the AFTFI, yelled back back, “The Progreſſive Union has shown time and time again that their politicians act more like children and are incapable of governing. Lightweight Melberg mocked the prime minister of one of our allies after drinking a single beer while nutty Norup has mocked a 19 year old Hrvadan girl elected to their parliament for her breasts, jealous his wife’s aren’t bigger. All of them must apologize and resign on the spot!”

As AFTFI members chearped, a Liberal Party deputy said “Only His Excellency Deputy Grosderhan would call others children and insult them in the same sentence.”

“This is a bold statement coming from His Excellency Deputy Grosderhan who’s slept with more porn stars than most male porn stars but couldn’t make any of them finish.” said a CDU deputy.

“I can, believe me, believe me.” Grosderhan replied, “Many of them said Chad, you are the best man I’ve ever slept with.”

While some younger deputies shook their heads, most, who were used to these arguments, sat unphased. “You claim we act like kids, and you start bringing up topics that should not belong in the debate chamber of a legislature.” a PU deputy said, “We are being broadcast all over not only Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands, but the entire world. If anyone should resign it is you.”

“Melberg is the only one who should resign!” an AFTFI deputy shouted, as he stood up and gestured towards Melberg by extending his right arm above his head, “He on numerous occasions stated he will ignore the will of the people and refuse to appoint any government including our party. So should the leadership of other parties for refusing to negotiate with us, and continue with the status quo benefiting the establishment ad the expense of the people!”

As AFTFI members cheered again, Olſen slammed her gavel while shouting “Order!”. As the chamber was calming down, she said “Are there any seconds to the motion?”
“I second the motion.” multiple deputies said simultaneously in multiple languages, while others shouted more insults.

“His Excellency Deputy Grosderhan on numerous occasions said that Drumpf did many good things. One of his former aides said that he keeps a bust of John Dodſon in his office. Damn right His Excellency Stadtholder Melberg should do all he can to prevent a coalition including AFTFI from taking power. It is quite shameful to be sitting with them here in the National Aſſembly with a party that supports him.”

“This is all bullshit.” an AFTFI deputy responded.

“John Dodſon was a hero who fought for our independence!” another deputy responded, to shock across the room, as most knew Dodſon as a racist who after winning the Furbish civil war created the government of the failed second republic to put himself and English Furbishmen in power over other language groups. He was posthumously sentenced to death and his honors stripped not long after the third republic was established.

“Order, order!” Olſen shouted again while slamming her gavel, “The motion has been seconded.”

“I motion that we end the debate put the motion of confidence up for vote.” shouted an LU deputy.

“I second this motion.” said another over the shouting.

“Very well.” Olſen said, “The vote is open.”. While some continued to yell, most of the rest pressed the voting buttons on their desks, and soon a majority of yes votes was reached. “As we have reached a majority, we shall now vote on the motion of confidence of His Excellency Deputy Trudeau.” Olſen said. “I don’t get paid enough for this shit.” she thought as more arguments broke out between deputies.

It did not take long for an absolute majority to be reached. Usually a large public ceremony would happen where the Prime Miniſter is sworn in and takes the oath of office, though in practice Trudeau was already Prime Miniſter with all the powers and responsibilities. Trudeau gave a small speech thanking all and what he hoped for the future of a country, and appointed his cabinet which later met with Melberg and the outgoing cabinet to be briefed on current events.

“Some clown from the Hrvadan government approached me a couple of weeks ago.” Oſcar Roetlin, the outgoing Miniſter of Trade, began, “Offering to purchase Furbish high speed rail technology, us purchasing Hrvadan aerospace technology, and us forming a tropical agricultural cartel to price smaller countries like the dumpster fire- sorry, Dodo Republic out of the market. I’ve never seen an interpreter shoot that many dumbfounded looks at someone.”

More discussions continued until the topic of foreign relations was reached. Outgoing Deputy Prime Miniſter of Foreign Affairs Georgia Pascarelli picked up a binder, placing it on the table and opening to some notes. “I am sure you have the same stances we do on the increasing belligerent Eastern Confederacy and nations we can potentially ally.” she said and after waiting until they nodded in agreement, continued, “Now just this morning dodobrain sent us a letter where he is reconsidering his position in the eastern axis.”

“Who is dodobrain?” Hutters asked.

“His birdwatching 29 year old virgin excellency, ceremonial admiral because my daddy was famous, elected president at age 27, Waldoon.” said Pascarelli. The incoming cabinet laughed while the outgoing cabinet were excited they no longer had to deal with him, with the exception of Melberg and a couple of Liberal Party politicians who would serve in both cabinets. “DR wanted foreign investment and we are making sure to defend if the Eastern Confederacy attacks.” continued Pascarelli, “If they will. Invading will be difficult if prepared and impossible right now. Besides this, we are also pursuing an alliance with Dunferm, Logar, and potentially Attancia, Fluvania, and Hrvada. The former two we’ve already had meetings with and they are willing to join us to fight their threat. DR will not join us though, the only thing they are competent enough to do is be cannon fodder in case of a war.” Everyone in the room laughed.

The Knights of the Old Federation: Klagenfurt (P1)
26-06-2021

« I was 16. 16 Years Old when the USSRK collapsed in 1991, still a young boy when my country just... vanished for no aparent reasons. During the 90s, Vostochnyye was a Small Militarist state. In 1992 it went to war with The Ravniny Republic when the later was in the midle of a civil war. From 1993 to 1999, the new Federation of Vostochnyye-Ravniny went into a Build up phase... The 1st January 2000, the Federation went then into a expansionist era, reconquering the former USSRK Countries. I was 25 back then, I joined the Army when I was 18. I fought every unification war... I’ve seen all of them...

From 2000 to 2007, the Kagian Mainland Continent passed from a continent with 24 Small Republics, to a Mainland mostly unified with only 3 States... one of them, the Stovies, only survived because the Federation ran out of steam in 2008.

Now we are in 2021, the Confederation is now looking strong. The International Community fears a new expansion phase. In the Army, we don’t know where Yazov will take us, for some the Non-Agression Pacts are just... lies... »

Somewhere in the sky 5 Kilometers North West of Klagenfurt
1:00PM

« What’s our objectives officer ? » asked a young private. « Our Orders are simple: A SU-25 was shot down near of here, our duty as Spetsnaz, is to identify the threat and take it down... whatever shot down that SU-25 can shot down the TU-160M that Yazov sent » Replied Captain Vasily Otenkov, « Our job is to make sure that the fireworks don’t start or end prematurely » said Otenkov.

« Otenkov ! 5 Minutes to Drop Zone » said the AN-178 Pilot. Otenkov then walked towards the Rear Cargo ramp as the later was opening, « Prepare to Dive ! » Shouted Otenkov. The AN-178 was escorted my 4 Merizah IIIC/M21 of the National Guard. The 10 Men Spetsnaz Commando were about to Dive into a City of ruins. But then, Heavy AA fire was fired at the small Aerial Fleet. 2 Merizah were shot down by a Rebell SU-27M. « Everyone, BAIL, BAIL, BAIL! » Otenkov shouted.

The Spetsnaz Jumped from the Antonov, 3 minutes from the Drop Zonne but cans still make the cut towards the central park, as they dived into the Central Park of the City, the 5 Planes that brought them here were shot down. « It Seems that our Transport got shot Down » said a Private into the Radio. 10 parachutes opened and 60 seconds after, the squad landed in the park.

« Maintain Radio Silence until further orders, if they find we are here, we’re dead » said Otenkov. The Squad packed up and walked towards their objective. They walked during 2 hours in the city ruins to finaly reach the city Airport, still undercovered. They took positions in the abandoned fire brigade outpost. Otenkov walked with the Squad Sniper to the top of the Station. Otenkov took his binoculars and looked towards the Airport Hangars, « Those Hangars have SU-27s inside them... we don’t have enough TNT Charges... » said Otenkov. The Sniper then said « We need to call a Katyusha Strike then ». Otenkov looked at the Sniper and said « You are a genius ».

Otenkov knew that several UAVs were patrolling the area, waiting for Fire support request Flares of his and other Spetsnaz Squads present in the ruins. Otenkov, walked towards the hangar with his squad and 50 meters from the hangar, he took his Flare Gun and Fired towards the Hangar. « RUN TOWARDS THE STATION » shouted to his squad. When they retreated, the drones pick up the flares and 30 seconds after: a Storm of Hellfires, Rockets and Artillery shells landed all-over the Aerodrome.

Otenkov then retreated towards the ‘Green Capitol’ evac point to get evacuated. The Raid happened in a span of 7 hours and only a flare gun shot was fired. The Rebells have lost now their SU-27M, probably ones they’d captured from local garnison.

But this is only the start of the Second Battle of Klagenfurt...

To be continued...

MAKS Airshow
Moskva, Eastern Confederation
25 July 2021, 15:00 local time

(Transcript of discord IC conversation.)

The Hrvadan Delegation arrived in the morning with their products to display them in front of the National Guard at MAKS Show. The Vostoian Military wasn't convinced by the Hrvadan capacity to supply the planes they'd been searching since last year, nor did the UAC who's proposing yet again their Fullback. Now, we encounter our protagonists directly at the Show...

The Moskvan L334 Aerodrome was already full, it seems like every Vostok of the city is there to see the fruits of the most successful industry of the nation. Yazov and the GMSOP with the Hrvadan Delegation were arriving at the Hrvadan Božena stand.

"How has the Hrvadan Industry developed since our last Cooperation, your excellency ?" asked The Commander-in-chief of the National Guard Air Force, Anton Fedorov-Konstantin.

Not quite sure what the Commander-in-chief was asking, Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade Ludwik Ivanov responded. "Pardon me? I don't think I quite understand your question. Could you clarify?" In a humble tone.

Yazov laughed, he responded: "My General doesn't speak properly Fluvan" Laughs "Let's rephrase this, do you think that the Hrvadan Air Industry can respond to our expectations ?".

"I think we definitely can 'respond to your expectations.' With all due respect to your people, the State of Hrvada is home to probably the world's most advanced aerospace industry and our engineers can do anything they can set their minds to."

"But honestly, I believe the real question is why you want to license our avionics. What are you going to use them to do? Bomb children in the Furbish Islands?" Inquired Ivanov.

Yazov laughed, the GMSOP Generals whomst were present looked at each other with fear, the UAC representative with Yazov were the only ones Smiling: for them, Ivanov just angered Yazov.

"Is the Hangar YX44 cleaned and prepared ?" asked Yazov to a NADRA representative. The Representative said a timid yes. Every top Vostoian Official knew what was present in that hangar.

With a smile, Yazov asked Ivanov: "What do you know about our Industry ?"

Ivanov responded. "I know that you've overextended your resources and need to start licensing foreign components in order to keep up with the high level of production you seek. Otherwise I wouldn't be here."

Yazov Replied: "You are here because we want to strengthen our Commercial relations via this Air Frame. A Air Frame Which will Only serve in the National Guard, so don't worry about the Children's of Furbish Islands.”

Yazov then looked at the anxious NADRA Representative and asked: "Ivanov, what are the Advancements of your country in 5.5th to 6th Generation Fighters?"

"Right. But even if that were the case, most of the Confederacy's adversaries stock their Air Forces with Hrvadan products. So how do we know your intention isn't going to be to reverse engineer our products and use the flaws you uncover in the next potential war against those countries?" Responded the Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade.

"Because we're solving this Problem as we speak... Our Intentions are not to retro-engineer because we don't need to" Yazov responded coldly, he then looked at the NADRA representative and shouted "To the Hangar!"

The Group walked outside and entered in a Bus for a 4 minutes drive to the other side of the airfield. When they arrived at the Hangar, they were greeted by what it seems was a Bataillon worth of GRU Spetsnaz Protecting the Said Hangar from any Intrusion. The GRU Spymaster walked towards the Bus with 2 Scientists of NADRA.

"What are your first impressions of Ivanov ? Don't be shy, you are not about to be executed" said Yazov whilst laughing

"Right." Responded Ivanov, shooting a wide-eyed glare at President Kovačević who was also with the group but not participating in the negotiations as such a thing isn't on his portfolio.

"What exactly is it?" Ivanov inquired.

The GRU Spymaster responded: "You are in front of the Hangar where The Project X-O2S is being developed, a 5.5th to 6th Generation fighter... Now, please, follow me".

The Spymaster ordered the Hangar door to be open. The Hangar was huge: a Football Field dimensioned Hangar.

The Group Walked in the Hangar for 2 minutes. On the left: they could see the enormous R&D Office and 4 X-O2S prototypes. And right In front of them was a X-O2S With it's Inverted Geometric Wings deployed.

Yazov said, "This is the Reason why the SU-57 or the Checkmate Program exists, each plane present in this Hangar is worth 7 SU-30M2... Ivanov, this plane will be flying in the near Future... Mass produced Ivanov: a Condensate of the most updated technology... A Marvel Piece"

Yazov then looked towards Ivanov, "Trust me, If we wanted to retro-engineer your planes, we would have done it since the beginning" Laughs.

"Impressive!" Responded Ivanov. He leaned over to President Kovačević and whispered in Hrvadan. "The Hrvadan next-generation fighter looks and is built better to be honest."

Ivanov looked at Yazov. "I mean, I'm not the Minister for Defense so I'm not the most knowledgeable about these things. But I'm pretty sure you physically need one of our aircraft to properly reverse-engineer it. That's why you 'haven't done it since the beginning.'"

He continued speaking whilst walking around the aircraft. "It looks like you've gone pretty far without us. So I again ask why you need our components?"

Yazov Responded, "To cooperate with Hrvada but not necessarily in the X-O2 Program"

He Then looked at Ivanov and said: "Here's our proposition: first, we are willing to buy 200 Hrvadan aircrafts to replace the National Guard SU-17M fleet... Our second proposition is to develop a Variant of the SU-30 in a co-entreprise. Your planes are great and your Avionics are great, but some countries cannot afford them. Our planes are affordable but our Avionics are too complicated for non-Vostok engineers to understand... By making this Variant, 45% of the revenues goes to you and trust me, the sheer size of this potential market is worth the effort"

Ivanov chuckled. "45%? You want Hrvada to do all the heavy legwork when it comes to the development of avionics and other advanced components, putting our intellectual property at risk of being reverse-engineered, just so your engineers can strap them to a shitty airframe and reap most of the profits. It's quite frankly an offensive business proposition, sir."

Kovačević gazed at Ivanov, amazed by his willingness to offend his hosts.

Yazov Replied: "We have the same degree of Tech, the proposition we made is simple: the Variant would be on Western Avionics Standards since it will be more adapted to the market and less costly for non-Vostoks to maintain the aircraft, everyone gets its Money and no one rob's no one Technology".

The UAC Representative replied: "My Grand Marshall, I can re-ensure you that the UAC can develop New Avionics adapted to foreign Markets in a matter of months".

Yazov then said: "It's a simple thing Ivanov, you can say no: instead of Hrvada, the UAC gets the money. If you say yes: everyone is happy".

"I think I've heard enough." Responded Ivanov. "I need to go back home and speak with Prime Minister Slanin and Defense Minister Kovalchuk before we make a final decision."

Attempting to break the tension in the room, President Kovačević interjected. "Very well! I hear that BM-10 X pilots who accompanied us on this trip are looking to conduct an aerial performance ."

Yazov laughed, and replied: "I'm afraid... That you underestimate the Motherland... Not only that you take your own Slavic brother as your foe... If you're done, we are also done Mr.Ivanov".

Yazov and the GMSOP proceeds to exit the Hangar, the GRU Spymaster then approaches The Hrvadan Delegation.

"Well done" the Spymaster said in a sarcastic tone "If you were Waldoon he would have beheaded you at this point... Oh well, next time try to be more... Diplomat... Please Follow Me, Minister Kaguchenkov is waiting outside"

Foreign Affairs Minister Kaguchenkov then arrives on scene.

"I'm terribly sorry for this, your excellency, Yazov is a Military Officer, not a Diplomat... Mr.Ivanov and Mr.President, sorry for my delay. I was occupied with an affair regarding The International Summit... Anyway let's discuss this whilst seeing the Air Show Shall we ?" Kaguchenkov said in a Diplomatic Tone.

"I mean, it really shows. I didn't even tell him that 'we wouldn't be giving him the licenses' and the guy totally fucking freaked out... Hopefully you prove to be a little more cool-minded." Said Ivanov.

The engines of the three BM-10 Xs engines roared and immediately started accelerating down the runway. After a few seconds of building up speed, each plane simultaneously took off almost completely vertically.

"You got to understand Mr.Ivanov, we got reports that several Wings of the Air Force went Rogue near Klagenfurt" Said Kaguchenkov whilst walking towards the VIP Tribune with the Hrvadan Delegation.

"The GMSOP is urging us to invest in the National Guard but from a Doctrine Stance, our current planes are to..."Heavy" for the National Guard operations. Look, we know the pressure that your government must have but from other powers... let us be clear, we are not here to search for conflict... Now tell me Mr.Ivanov, what are your thoughts on this potential purchase ?" Said Kaguchenkov.

Ivanov replied. "I mean. Purchasing Hrvadan planes is intriguing, but we would have to get permission from our global partners as well as ensure our intellectual property is protected first. In regards to the development of a new SU-30, I think it's absurd. But that's just me, I still have to discuss this conversation with the Prime Minister and the Minister for Defense."

The BM-10 Xs flying above started conducting multiple aerial maneuvers including barrel rolls and corkscrews. Soon after, the planes started dropping flares that painted the day sky in the colors of the Hrvadan flag.

"I See and the GMSOP understands... Look, I got to go I have a Important Military summit to attend, maybe we talk more about this issue in Telegrams ?" asked Kaguchenkov.

"Understood. Yea, that's fine." Replied Ivanov, continuing to watch the show in awe.

The three planes landed back on the runway safely. The cockpit of one of the BM-10 Xs opened and it's gunner stood up, waving a large Hrvadan flag in front of the crowd as the plane taxied towards the Hrvadan Government Božena 800 which had been on display at the show but was now prepped for the flight back to Ferfaks.

The Hrvadan diplomatic team started making its way back to their plane. While walking on the tarmac one of the senior diplomatic members opened up his encrypted email app from Dunferm and started a message to his friend in that country:

”Our Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade apparently totally embarrassed Yazov when they went off to a private hangar for the meeting. I hear he suggested that the Confederacy aerospace was ‘shitty’ in front of Yazov’s face and one of Yazov’s men suggested that he ought to be beheaded for saying that, total king. Slanin should have made Ivanov Minister for Foreign Affairs instead of that totally inexperienced MP from the middle of nowhere that no one really knows anything about.”

”Also hearing from a good friend on the team that he overheard a conversation between Ivanov and the Confederacy Foreign Affairs minister that the only reason they want to strike a deal with us over aerospace is because their air force is in total disarray right now. Big if true.

The Hrvadans got on the government plane, safely taking off along with the three BM-10 Xs that were featured in the show, arriving home the next morning.

Hamilton Cawley Air Force Baſe
Boston, Furbish Islands
28 July 2021, 13:30 local time

(Transcript of discord IC conversation.)

Stadtholder Richard Melberg, Prime Miniſter Arthur Trudeau, Deputy Prime Miniſter of Foreign Affairs Floris Hutters, Deputy Prime Miniſter of Defence Radovan Lovrić, and Estefania García, who held multiple titles including Miniſter of Trade, stood at the tarmac of Hamilton Cawley Air Force Baſe in the outskirts of Boſton, waiting for the Hrvadan plane to land and to meet the delegation.

The Hrvadan Government jetliner hit the runway, immediately deploying its spoiler system and reverse thrusters. The large plane gradually slowed down to taxi speed, exiting onto a taxiway that led to where the Furbish delegation was waiting.

The plane stopped at a safe distance away from the hosts and eventually cut its engines. A group of ground crew quickly rushed towards the plane with a set of stairs that would allow the Hrvadan delegation to exit onto the tarmac. Prime Minister Lukas Slanin, Minister for Foreign Affairs Nazovite Svetobar, and Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade Ludwik Ivanov (who would be conducting his second State visit in less than a week) exited from the plane.

One of the Furbish interpreters standing behind the ministers recognized Svetobar, recalling his experience at a previous meeting with him and the previous Miniſter of Trade Oſcar Roetlin. He was not excited for this visit though he hid his expression.

"Good afternoon, your excellencies." said Melberg in Dutch and repeated in Hrvadan by an interpreter as the guests stepped off the plane. He first shook hands with Slanin first, fighting the urge to laugh seeing him for the first time after his drunk impression went viral and all the other times he talked bad about or mocked him in front of his cabinet or his wife. The other four ministers followed him when they shook hands with the guests.

"Good afternoon, it's good to be back here." Slanin exclaimed, shaking Melberg and then Trudeau's hand while simultaneously making up jokes about the men he could repeat to his Hrvadan confidants sometime in the near future, maybe even during the trip.

Svetobar smirked as he gazed at the interpreter. He moved towards the man, rudely slipping in between García and Ivanov as they greeted each other. "Hey, big guy! I know you." He said to the lowly interpreter as he exerted dominance by pound hugging him.

"It is great to see you again." the interpreter replied in a monotonous voice while trying to push Svetobar away.

"Who the fuck thought choosing his clown was a good idea." thought Melberg, seeing the interpreter. He and the rest of the party tried to ignore it.

"Good afternoon." said Trudeau, remembering the last time Slanin was there, at a rally in the same time and city as one held by Trudeau, though Slanin's became infamous and mocked endlessly by most of the Furbish public. "There is plenty to discuss. A lot has happened, especially in the three days since you were invited here." Trudeau said, while motioning to a row of limousines at the tarmac.

"Indeed, there is a lot to discuss! Things have been crazy recently." Relayed Slanin to Trudeau.

The Hrvadan delegation made its way towards two of the limousines. Slanin, Ivanov, Svetobar, and two senior officials in the Prime Minister's office crowded into the back of one limousine while a few journalists, translators, and junior officials also present went into the other.

As the line of vehicles made its way towards the capital district, the Prime Minister and Cabinet Officials started joking about their first interaction with the Furbish delegation on the visit. Slanin smiled. "Does anybody have any sanitizer? That guy Trudeau is a total closeted faggot and I'm worried where his hands have been." The five men laughed as one of the senior advisors jokingly removed a small bottle of hand sanitizer from his suit pocket and handed it to Slanin who put an unnecessarily large amount on his hands.

Slanin continued. "Speaking of fags, Nazovite. What were you doing to that interpreter?" The men chuckled thinking back to the encounter. The Minister for Foreign Affairs rolled his eyes. "That guy is a huge beta, he was a dick when I was here a few weeks back. I'm trying to make him uncomfortable as possible for shits and giggles." The whole car cracked up.

"Right..." Responded Slanin responded. "And Melberg, he must be drunk again. The guy was smiling the whole time we were on the tarmac... Probably had one beer and he's already overexpressing himself. Still a fucking lightweight I see."

The men continued laughing at each other's quips and digs at Furbish leaders all the way to the destination.

The limousines drove along the tarmac, then reached a gate, which they were all waived through. They hit an on ramp onto a controlled access freeway which has seen better days. The road was short but bumpy, until they hit an off ramp and winded through the narrow streets of Boſton. All the intersections, except for transit lanes, were blocked off by police to give a right of way to the limousines, which sped alongside city buses and trams. Along the entire route, many buildings waved rainbow flags alongside the Furbish flag, as if they were expecting Hrvadan officials to come through. Larger buildings and some billboards had rainbow flags projected on them, with slogans supporting pride and marriage equality. Even some of the buses and trams had rainbow flags painted on them.

"The governor of Boſton told everyone that Hrvadans are coming through here." said Trudeau in one of the lead cars as he looked at his phone, and the rest of the Furbish officials laughed out loud.

They finally arrived at the Capital Diſtrict, and the limousines stopped in front of a large Victorian style building, with the words "OFFICE OF ÐE STADTHOLDER". carved into the front in several languages. Several flagpoles stood at the top, with three flags raised, the Furbish flag to the left, Hrvadan in the middle, and a rainbow flag to the right. Aides opened the doors to the limousine, and one led the Furbish and Hrvadan parties through the building to a conference room. They were all given earpieces which were connected to interpreters sitting in a different room.

García began, to Svetobar, "The previous trade minister informed me of the discussion between him and your excellency about the possible Furbish purchase of Hrvadan aerospace technology, a Hrvadan purchase of high speed rail technology, and an agricultural cartel by our nations."

Svetobar responded to García through the interpreter. "Yea, the rail for aerospace trade is a very interesting proposal that will benefit both our nations exponentially. It jumpstarts our high-speed rail initiative while bolstering your defense, especially against the Eastern Confederacy."

Ivanov interrupted. "That last part is key. When I was in the Eastern Confederacy a few days ago, Yazov was basically begging for our tech like a little bitch; mainly because his air force - albeit strong - is starting to fall apart. Extend your contract with Božena and not only would the Furbish Islands probably be able single-handedly down every Confederacy plane from here to Moskva, you’d get the satisfaction of making Yazov seethe over the fact that we’re giving nothing to him but expanding our imports to you.”

"The Eastern Confederacy is a growing problem we plan to discuss here later." García said, "But earlier today they approached us with an offer to invest in their largest steel company, pay for the construction of three mills and get a token share of that company."

"The military is looking to replace some equipment." said Lovrić, "Božena will be one of the companies we will look into."

"Investing in one of their steel companies?" Replied Ivanov. "To increase leverage with a carrot or something? My office actually believes it's going to be an easier and more efficient strategy to go straight to the stick and start levying economic sanctions."

"We aren't taking the deal." said García, "Anyway, the Ferbitrein Conſortium has plenty of different trains they can offer to Hrvada. We also have plenty of civil engineering, construction, and maybe some consulting firms to help design the network." She nudged at Melberg.

"I am not aware of the conditions in Hrvada enough to design a network like I designed for The Furbish Islands almost four decades ago." Melberg said, "But Furbishmen will help Hrvadan engineers any way we can. And my network at the time was extremely controversial to say the least, even in the present day." Melberg did not mention the civil engineering firm owned by him and his wife to avoid creating any conflict of interest. The firm was well known anyway. Melberg also avoided mentioning more about the modern day controversies, which he would have mentioned had he not been speaking with a right wing populist government. Alternative for Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands, a right wing populist party, often uses pictures of new high speed trains besides crumbling buildings of interior cities to show how the government failed them, as well as claiming money can better be spent elsewhere. Branch lines leading to smaller cities was an idea by Melberg so they would not claim they were being put behind at the expense of larger cities, which he knew AFÐFI would have said had they not been built.

"Great. We will bring you into the loop when we draft our legislative plans for the high speed rail network and we'll be sure to give Furbish firms top consideration when it comes to engineering firms and locomotive suppliers." Replied Slanin.

"That brings us to the last item on the agenda." Said Ivanov. "Agriculture. When I was appointed Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade I modified the existing Confederation plans to exert pressure on Dodoia by crowding out their farmers. Instead of creating a cartel, I think it would be easier and more realistic to cooperate with Dunferm and Fluvannia and maybe convince them to embargo Dodoian crops while filling the gap with ours."

"Issuing an embargo will just create more animosity." said Hutters, "The last thing we need is for them to turn back to their large neighbor. Foreign investment is why they were so hesitant to leave the eastern axis. Not to mention there are other large countries who may or may not be on board. Our countries combined already have a higher output by an order of magnitude more than the rest of the world."

"Got it." Said Ivanov.

"I suggest we increase subsidies for our farmers to lower their prices, which will pay off in the long term as we price everyone else out of the market." Trudeau said

"I guess we may just have to wait and see in regards to the issue... Well, with that I think we've discussed everything on the agenda. Anything else?" Said Slanin.

"And finally there is the Eastern Confederacy. Their position is increasingly worrying, so I propose hosting a summit to discuss an alliance with Attancia, Dunferm, Fluvannia, and Logar, holding it in Hrvada because of your central location between all of us. This treaty is just a draft and I apologize for the poor translation." Trudeau slid a paper that said the following to the Hrvadans.

Boſton Treaty for the creation of an protective and economic entente

1. Ðe ſignatory parties agree to increaſe economic and military cooperation

2. A yearly ſummit will be held between all member heads of ſtate and government at a location determined at ðe previouſ ſummit

3. All militaries of the ſignatory parties ſhall appoint officers to a international joint command

4. Joint military exerciſes will be held every year at a location determined at the previous summit

5. An attack on any ſignatory will be conſidered an attack on all

6. The ſignatories will enſure a global balance of power by defending ſmaller countries from foreign aggreſſion

7. The ſignatories will reduce barriers to free trade between each oðer

8. The ſignatories will increaſe foreign inveſtment in ſmaller countries

"This looks very promising." Said Slanin looking at the piece of paper. "I'll get back to you in a few days with a few of my ideas for this treaty as well as for a venue in Hrvada we can sign it... If you're looking for an ultra central location we can hold it in Crvenicov which is basically a cattle and mining town the geographic center of Hrvada. Maybe you can experience what a real Middle-Hrvadan city looks like. We could call it the Crvenicov-Boston Treaty '' The Hrvadans got up to say farewell to their hosts.

The Furbish cabinet members stood up and shook hands with the Hrvadans one last time, posing for pictures with the press. They walked through the winding corridors of the building again and the Hrvadans were led to the row of limousines, which took the same route back to the Air Force base, lined with rainbow flags.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Building, Mankus
July 2021, before the assassination attempt on Waldoon

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Valerius Miele, sat in a well-lit room with his deputy, Albus Noerdlinger. Both sat behind an antique hardwood desk, carved expertly some time in the 1900s. Eccentrically placed carvings lined podiums on the teal walls, which were decorated elegantly with exquisite white-stone stylings. The hasty-but-inconsistent click-clack of his mechanical ETO keyboard signalled the urgency of his situation. Noerdlinger interrupted him, peering at his superior’s monitor.

“Valerius, your wording concerns me.” Despite his eloquence in Latin, a slight German tone rung through his words. Albus was the youngest son of the now defunct Noerdlinger family, former nobility who held the seat of Castle Noerdlingen in northwest Attancia. However, the nobility of his house was eliminated when the Vatican finally assumed control over the north – though the strength and infamy of the Noerdlingers was still ever-present, supported by their distinction as the last surviving pure-blooded Attancian-Bergweiser nobles. “Durant specifically requested that you should re-invite the juvenile in several months once the situation has cleared. Currently, you fail to suggest postponing it. You have cancelled it completely.”

“If the Prime Minister wishes it, it shall be done, then.” Muttered Valerius, editing his message. “You act like I did it on purpose.”

Albus allowed himself a slight smile, though the true extent of his amusement could always be seen in his grey-brown eyes. He was one of the unfortunate types to be found laughing at anything, as if he believed life was a comedy prepared for him to enjoy. “You wound me, Valerius.”

“If I weren’t bound by the laws of the country I’ve been made to serve, the literalneẞ of that statement would be a great deal higher.” Quipped the older man. It was known that Valerius, aged 64, disapproved of his acquaintance’s youth. Albus Noerdlinger was only 39, after all, though even Valerius couldn’t doubt his competence. He had worked as a lawyer shortly after graduating from the University of Ayuttina, quickly gaining notoriety for his wit and quick-thinking. Eventually, he ran as a prospective MP in Noerdlingen, easily reaching the required voting ceiling. However, Valerius too was begrudgingly respected, his dedication and skill almost unmatched. “I’m glad you noticed that, though. Should you have failed, you would be subject to Durant Exazenos’ rage, especially with his brother now gone… not that your family is unfamiliar with Exazenos fire.” He smiled.

Albus laughed. “I’m sure Durant had no sense of duty to his brother. That family has done more to wound themselves than their armies ever did to Castle Noerdlingen.”

“If you wish to keep your tongue, I would refrain from snitching on the whispers that surround the Exazenoses.”

“So be it,” sighed Albus “we must get to work. Make sure to remain neutral on the subject of the canal.”

“Do you doubt me?” intrigued Valerius.

“No, I just wishes to re-affirm what the Prime Minister said.”

“If you insist. I shall also be writing a letter to the Furbishmen and the Dunfermians regarding meetings, and word to the Logarians of the meeting between Durant, Adrian, and Eugene Accassus. And of course, another to the Vostons. Might I delegate those to you?” Valerius inquired, rapping his fingers on the desk.

Albus was taken aback. These are important tasks. Why should they be delegated to me? Then he looked at the rapping of fingers on the desk, the gilded plating designating the Ministry, the knowing slight of Valerius’ mouth. Albus gaped at him. “Do you really…?”

“In some time. When you reach four-and-forty, when this government ends.”

“But the new government mightn’t be so welcoming.”

“Rest aẞured, my recommendation is well-received by all parties. I am not simply a plaything of this one.” Valerius grinned when Albus gaped at him for a second time. “Now be off, prepare the letters.”

TO THE DODO REPUBLIC:

To his Excellency the President Admiral Waldoon,

Following recent incidents, the Attancian government is postponing the meeting between yourself and the Prime Minister until later this year. The destruction of the canal is naturally a terrible blow to the Dodo Republic, and we do wish you all the best in the future. We advise caution, quia semper. Should trouble befall the Dodo Republic, your Excellency should keep in mind that Attancia is always strong enough to aẞist.

Regards,
Valerius Miele
Minister of Foreign Affairs
The Attancian Government

TO VOSTOCHNYYE RAVNINY:

To the government of Vostochnyye Ravniny,

In the best interests of Kagian peace and stability, we do hereby propose a mutual non-intervention pact in the Estovakian civil war. The terms are as follows:

Hereby;

I. The Attancian government shall not intervene in, fund, support any belligerent of, or influence in any way the East Estovakian civil war.

II. The government of Vostochnyye Ravniny shall not intervene in, fund, support any belligerent of, or influence in any way the East Estovakian civil war.

III. Both governments shall send delegates to ensure the treaty is upheld. They will reside within East Estovakia and shall have full diplomatic protection. They may file reports on their behest, and neither government shall try to hinder the other in any way.

Regards,
Albus Noerdlingen

Imperial Palace of Villanova
29 July 2021

As result of the last cabinet meeting of the Imperial Government in which His Imperial Majesty the Emperor of Logar Adrian I, the Courtmaster of Logar Michael Veers, and several ministers plus the Secretary of the Palace John Capri, discussed a massive research of thorium-based power, all of them were now reunited in the Palace of Villanova discussing strategies to bring other countries to the research. Adrian was calmly sat down in his workbench surrounded by government officials while drinking some tea, while the Courtmaster and others were all standing up before the two imperial royal guards at both sides of Adrian. The day was sunny, though such pleasure was about to end as rain approximated Villanova.

— So. This will be a really heavy operation, but necessary for a cleaner and safer future, — Adrian started — I'd like to hear some nations who are likely to join us in this endeavor.
— My Emperor, — the Courtmaster began — a country I think we can fully rely our hopes in are the Furbish Islands.
— Yes, yes. Capri, make sure to send a formal invitation to the Furbish. I am pretty sure they'll agree, — Adrian said while looking at Veers.
— While the others... I am uncertain, — Veers declared — some of them may join us easily, others with more insistence.
— Let's make sure we invite Dodoia, they are formidable, possible allies.
— Yes, Your Majesty.

The meeting endure for some time after the first considerations, finalizing in the officials agreeing to invite the following countries: The Furbish Islands, Dodoia, Dunferm, Fluvannia, Attancia, the ACS, Hrvada, Dalbernia, and Vosto, with the latter having been the reason of some disagreement between the Emperor and Courtmaster Veers, in which Veers wanted to invite the government while Adrian wanted to ignore them because of recent operations portrayed by their rulers. Capri was responsible to write invitation letters to all countries while Adrian was to answer an invitation from Attancia to a meeting hosted by the Attancians.

In his office guarded by a single palace guard, Capri could be seen sat before his workbench with lots of papers and envelopes available in order to write the invitations to their destined countries. The secretary was very tired, it was a long day for him who had to answer several letters sent by Logarian folk to Adrian as it was the emperor's orders to him, which left him almost physically and mentally powerless, and so he took stimulant drugs for that day in order to endure the task.

To whom it may interest,

The Logarian government is seeking to conduct a massive research operation of thorium in order to establish a cleaner and safer power source for Logar and hopefully other countries. His Imperial Majesty Adrian I of Logar is willing to find worldwide research partners in order to accelerate the process while concentrating the headquarters of the project in Villanova. Logar is totally ready to offer full support to any who is available for such an important task to the international community and, in time the government plans to repurpose all major nuclear power plants into thorium power plants.

Within his office at the fall of night, Emperor Adrian analyzed the Attancian invitation for his presence in a meeting which would be protagonized by both governemnts. He was all alone while his guards were ordered by him to leave him alone and guard the office's doors from without the room. He grabbed some paper, an envelope and his late father's fountain pen, and started writing a response to the Attancian officials.

Deputy Minsiter of Foreign Affairs Albus von Noerdlingen,

I am honored to be invited to such an important event for both our nations. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Logar, the Courtmaster, and I will be present plus a small delegation of notable politicians who are in position of nobility status. Hoping nothing but the best from this opportunity.

Crvenicov International Airport
Crvenicov, Crvenboje, Hrvada
2 August, 08:00

Throughout the morning, international delegations from Attancia, Logar, the Furbish Islands, and Dunferm landed at Crvenicov International Airport. While media, interns, and junior officers were crammed into large busses; important leaders and their confidants were escorted to large luxurious SUVs.

The convoy busses and SUVs slowly drove from the tarmac, to a road looping in front of Crvenicov International's terminals, and then eventually onto southbound Autoroute 35 which authorities had shut down and lined with police vehicles for the occasion. The road's eight smoothly-paved lanes of limited-access freeway quickly and safely led the leaders to the Crvenicov Cattleyards. The Cattleyards were not some kind of dirty meatpacking district as the name suggested, rather a trendy neighborhood in the heart of the city defined by it's mix of industrial revolution-era architecture and tall modern skyscrapers, reenactments of the Hrvadan gold rush era, and thriving small businesses.

The SUVs pulled up in front of a large outside amphitheater in the center of the Cattleyards. Hrvadan President Miloš Kovačević, First Deputy Prime Minister Ksyusha Boszczyk, Minister for Foreign Affairs Nazovite Svetobar, Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade Ludwik Ivanov, and Minister for Defense Miša Kovalchuk greeted the foreign dignitaries as they exited their vehicles. Notably not present was Prime Minister Lukas Slanin who refused to put his name on a globalist treaty.

A large circular conference table was in the middle of the amphitheater where the leaders would hold a short public conference and then sign the already negotiated treaty which read as the following:

The Contracting Powers, in their shared concern with the matters of global security, international peace, and the future of trade and indudstry, have agreed on the following:

1. The Signatory Parties hereby join in a military alliance, with all parties having the obligation to military support and participate in the defense of each other.

2. The New Alliance shall be named the Protective and Economic Entente.

3. The Standing Council shall be formed with representatives of all contracting powers, that shall meet regularly to discuss the joint policy of the Entente, the headquarters of this council shall be determined by all contracting powers. Each year the position of Chairman of the Standing Council shall be transferred from a representative of one party to another.

4. The Allied High Command shall be formed to co-ordinate the defense and military effort of all Signatory Parties.

5. The main responsibility and mission of the Entente shall be to ensure and protect the balance of power against encroachments of expansionist powers.

6. The Signatory Powers agree to ensure economic co-operation between each other, and to promote free and fair trade.

7. An annual summit shall be held, with attendance by the national leaders of each Contracting Power, at a location agreed between all Powers.

8. No nation may join the Entente without the approval of all Signatory Parties.

9. Any resolution of the Standing Council shall be adopted unless Two Contracting Powers object to the resolution.

10. The intelligence community of each Signatory Party shall share intelligence with all others to ensure collective security.

Made in collaboration with Attancia, The Dodo Republic, and Vostochnyye Ravniny.

Mankus City Airport
Attancia

Afternoon, Thurſday 29 July 2021

The incoming cabinet had a few state visits, one previously planned and three in response to more recent events. The government of Hrvada was invited to the capital on the 28th, originally to discuss the future of the Furbish-Hrvadan alliance, but now to discuss recent events as well. After that, Stadtholder Richard Melberg, Prime Miniſter Arthur Trudeau, Deputy Prime Miniſter of Foreign Affairs Floris Hutters, Deputy Prime Miniſter of Defence Radovan Lovrić, and Estefania García, who held multiple titles including Miniſter of Trade, who spoke with Hrvada, boarded the government jet. They planned a visit to Attancia on the 29th and the Dodo Republic on the 30th, originally the 26th until their president was shot, both to discuss recent events, while García would be sent to the Moskva air show to discuss a possible Furbish trade deal with the Eastern Confederation.

“Good morning, your holiness and your excellencies.” said Melberg as he stepped out of the jet in Attancia, translated by two interpreters as not many spoke Latin in Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands. The Furbish officials shook hands with all their hosts.

“Good morning,” began the Prime Minister, echoed by the Pope “we trust you travelled safely?”. They all returned the handshakes.

“We have.” said Melberg, “And there is plenty to talk about.”

“Very good. And yes, there is much to discuss.” Durant gestured towards three airport taxis that were parking a few meters behind the group. “Let’s be on, then.” He lead the group towards the taxis: one for the main force of the guards, one for the Furbishmen, and one for the Attancians. In addition, several police motorbikes were to scout ahead for any trouble, as well as to flank the convoy.

The roads leading into the metropolitan area were not entirely closed. Major roads still remained open, though crossings were temporarily shut down by the scout bikes when the motorcade was within 300 metres of them. In addition, any cars that wished to pass within 300 metres of the convoy were halted until the officials had passed. Furbish-Attancian flags were flown from the wing mirrors of each car.

Eventually, the cars made their way into the metropolitan area. Enormous skyscrapers dominated the skyline, enormous panels of glass reflecting the scorching amber sun. Dotted amongst the newer buildings were much more traditional sandstone ones, intricately designed and styled spectacularly. However, they were the few that survived the World War, the majority having been destroyed in bombing raids. However, the officials were careful not to point that out.

Eventually, the motorcade came to a halt outside one of the older buildings. Large stone letters were inscribed into the upper section of the building, which was supported by ornately carved pillars styled with twisting serpents. The words were Latin, though an announcement through the speakers of the Furbish car confirmed their meaning: "Foreign Affairs Ministry". Guards quickly encircled the cars and lead the officials to the door. The interior of the building was equally lavishly decorated, two grand staircases leading up to a higher level. Below the landing was an enormous oak door that lead into a series of other rooms. Durant Exazenos started to lead the guests up the stairs.

“So... what's your favorite color?” asked Miele, jokingly, “Yellow and white, I hope. Anyway. What other countries have you visited?”

“We’ve been visited by officials from Hrvada yesterday and king of Dunferm the day before.” said Melberg, “I believe you received a letter from them inviting your government to a summit this Monday to discuss the Eastern Confederation's actions.”

“Yes, we have. The Protective and Economic Entente was the suggested name.” answered Miele, swiftly ascending the stairs. When he got to a white-wood door, he opened and held it for the others to enter. The room was large and elegantly styled, with intricate carvings across the walls and ceiling. Busts of former Attancian leaders were set on podiums. He gestured to a large table in the middle of the room, with Furbish and Attancian flags set at each end. “Please, take a seat.”

“That was a rushed and terrible translation on my part.” said Trudeau, “I am sure we can come up with a better name, but that's not biggest problem now.”

Miele was surprised “Protective and Economic Entente seems perfectly logical.” Then he smiled knowingly. “But yes, we do have greater things to discuss. I believe the most important, at least to us, is the issue regarding Vostochnyye Ravniny and Marshall Dmitri Yazov. Due to our position, we are directly at risk.”

Some of the Fluvan speaking interpreters smiled, but the others who did not speak it well did not notice anything.

“We are already aware of the situation regarding Dodoia. On no uncertain terms did the Admiral announce his withdrawal... though whether or not the attack was conducted by terrorists or by the Dodoian military – or both – remains uncertain. We're sending an investigation team to assist the Hrvadans. Regardless, the result is the same. The TEA has been disbanded, and Yazov's control over the Eastern Federation grows stronger. From our reports he is a ruthless dictator and a thinly veiled tyrant. Quite simply, he is the most dangerous man in the world. What do you know of him?”

Hutters grimaced a little. “We have more information on them and the Dodo Republic, which is best saved for our summit." he said, "But there are three things that concern me about the attack. The fact that agents slipped their way into the expeditionary force, the fact that nothing was done to stop them, and the TCVR could use this as a reason to invade.”

Hutters’ statement was met with grim mumbling of agreement from around the table. “The first and second points are concerning, yes.” Began Miele. “However, the last point is of greatest concern to us. Though we aren't particularly friendly towards the Dodoians, they are at least a semi-neutral ‘power’. Allowing them to fall to the Vostons is unacceptable, as we directly face the consequences.” He gestured towards his Attancian colleagues. “Another thing to consider is the location of Dodoia. They share control of the Higash strait with the Dunfermians. If that straight were to come under Voston control, the world would be split in two. Every nation would be threatened.”

The description of the Dodo Republic as a power was met with some smiles from the Furbish officials. “I’d hardly describe them as a power, not with their competence.” said Trudeau, “From needing foreign powers to find a runaway cargo ship to a 29 year old president who thinks he knows more than leaders with more experience. They will fall quickly in a war.”

“That is a problem.” Lovrić, “Taking the entire Dodo Republic will not be easy, but their major cities will.”. The Furbish group nodded.

“We have a meeting in the Dodo Republic planned for tomorrow.” said Melberg, “We will discuss anything new we learn in our summit on Monday.”

“I call them a power for the sake of formality. If they were competent enough to use their resources, then they might be one. As you mentioned, though, that is not the case.” replied Miele.

The Prime Minister entered the conversation. “Of course. If you learn anything new, it is worth sharing. I might be speaking on behalf of my good colleague here, the Minister of National Defense, but I must ask your stance on the Estovakian civil war. The Voston government has currently taken a stance of intervention, clearly attempting to sway the nation in their side. This is worrying, naturally, as that would give them potential access to the Attancian strait. We control the strait entirely, as the Estovakians evidently have other priorities.” He grimaced. “Nothing can reach them via the sea. Via their western border, however... Not so. We recently sent a letter to them, requesting a mutual non-intervention stance.”

“We have agreed to respect the sovereignty of all foreign countries, which includes their civil war.” said Melberg, “I doubt they will accept, and that was sort of our goal, if they violate the pact we have a justification to retaliate.”

“The Vostonian factions control their west.” said Lovrić, “And I do not believe it will end as quickly as their civil war did. That said, should they intervene we can start to apply economic pressure, and do it as a bloc.”

“A clever plan,” exclaimed the Minister of National Defense, Marcus Alopeaus “But are you sure the Vostons will fail to see through it? As harsh as Yazov is, he isn't entirely stupid. Though your meeting with the youngling padawan will provide you with some insight to that. On another note, we've been trying to organise mutual defence operations with the Kingdom of Dunferm, potentially within the Higash strait.” he sighed. “Unfortunately we haven't organised it yet. However, if we do, that will be a good show of force to the Vostons. And more importantly, to Yazov.”

“We can discuss it more in our summit this Monday.” said Hutters.

"That seems fair." decided Exazenos. “What of the other factor here, the ACS? They have no warm water ports, thus they aren't a naval threat as we progress towards winter.”

“We have leverage over Dodo Republic and ACS with many transit contracts,” said Trudeau,” While the trade minister is in the Eastern Confederacy negotiating a steel contract, though that may have been put on hold due to some unforeseen events.”

“Understood.” said Exazenos. “In addition, there are certain things we must clear up before we are to confront the Vostons – should it come to that. The most important would be our pre-tension disputes over the presence of Furbish warships near Kagu.”

“We sail them as a show of force to the Confederacy.” said Lovrić.

“Due to their proximity to Attancia, it did not seem that way.” interjected Marcus. “And this was before the international ambitions of the Confederacy started to show. Quite plainly, we see it as a threat to our National Security,” the man's tone grew darker. “and we deem it necessary that the ships stay away from Attancia unless their purpose is explicitly clear and innocent. However, I can see that the members of your government aren't as dumb as our neighbours.” He smiled. “So I imagine we won't come to any issues.”

“Because Attancia is in close proximity to the Eastern Confederacy, whose international ambitions began with the collapse of the USSRK and their conquest of all its successor states.” said Lovrić.

“Those were internal. Though international presence is currently welcomed – under Attancian watch, of course – the previous exercises were viewed as negative. I’m going to be frank. We saw it as a method of Furbish power projection, and I don't think there's any doubt that that was the intention. However, we aren't going to jump to hostilities about it. Just in future, we want to have information regarding foreign navies patrolling the seas around Attancia. We also wish to have partial command in any activities in the area, as Attancia is in a very threatened position.”

“The ships were as a show of force to the TCVR.” said Lovrić, “As for the rest, that will be something discussed in the summit.”

“So be it.” Begrudgingly conceded the Defense Minister. “We shall bring it up at the summit.”

“We also have trade to discuss.” Mentioned Exazenos. “In recent times, Attancia's technological sector has grown significantly. However, much of this business has moved abroad. VIDEO, the largest graphics card manufacturer in the world, is based in Attancia – yet its factories are in Pijie. Our energy corporations are opening outlets and power stations in other countries, sharing our prosperity as well as providing cheap and reliable services... do you see what I'm getting at?”

“We are working to increasing renewable energy and would be more than happy to work with your corporations to achieve this goal.” said Trudeau.

They spent the rest of the day discussing trade deals until the Furbish delegation left for their next visits.

Moskva International Airport
The Confederation of Vostochnyye Ravniny

Morning, Friday, 30 July 2021

The Furbish government jet touched down in Moskva and García stepped out, with three interpreters and some aides. The government jet took off after, carrying the other four officials to the Dodo Republic. “Good morning, your excellencies.” said García to the hosts. She shook their hands then presented a gift, a beautiful handmade wooden box with traditional Spanish Furbish ornamentation. Inside was Viagra.

Yazov's Foreign Minister Kaguchenkov shook hands and grabbed the Wooden Box and gave the box to a KGB Agent (Whom then proceeded to dispose from the box), “Good Morning Mrs. Garcia” he said “Unfortunately due to the Klagenfurt Rable, The Grand Marshall cannot be present.” Kaguchenkov then gave the signal to the sommelier waiting behind him. The Sommelier Approached with a bottle of Vodka.

Kaguchenkov then asked "Mrs. García, the trip should have been long.”, he laughs, then says “Here, have a shot of vodka.” he then gave Mrs. García a glass of Vodka.

“Thank you, but I don't drink when I'm on duty.” said García.

“No Problem, please shall we proceed to the Helicopter?” Kaguchenkov asked.

“We shall.” said García. She followed him into the helicopter.

The Helicopter was a Kamov KA-60 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Helicopter took off towards the Presidential Palace, the KA-60 was rapidly joined by 2 Mil mi-28 of the KGB Presidential Squadron.

Kaguchenkov said, “We are taking these security precautions, because we received earlier a death threat made by Communists Rebels targeting your person, we tried to communicate this info with you but it seems that Dodoian's or someone are jamming our Radio Network up in the North.”

García nodded. “Thank you for informing me.” she said.

Kaguchenkov Replied, “We are solving this problem as we speak, we've sent 4 Marines Battalions and a VDV Battalion from the Northern Range Mercenaries to solve this problem. Whoever is trying to hurt us will met a swift death.”

The Helicopter pilot shouted, “2 Minutes until Landing”

Kaguchenkov then said, “Mrs.Garcia, what are your thoughts on our proposition”"

García took a moment to think. “There are some of the terms I would like to discuss further.” she said as the helicopter was landing.

Suddenly a mi-28 broke off, radio transmissions were coming in masse. Kaguchenkov looked at the KGB Spymaster present with them who explained in Yeltzorossian the situation. Kaguchenkov remained calm. But non-military personnel in the cabin stood choked at the information they had just received from the radio. The 2 remaining Helicopters flew over the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Kaguchenkov remained speechless.

Half of the Building was destroyed by what seemed an explosion... But something was odd: Civilian Commercial Jets Turbofans could be seen partially destroyed, a VOSKFLOT Airliner just crashed into the Governmental Building.

Kaguchenkov ordered the 2 remaining Helicopters to land at the nearest Air Force Airfield.

“Mrs. García, we have a Problem” Said Kaguchenkov with a dark tone.

“I can tell” thought García as she looked for a moment at the explosion. Those few seconds felt like an eternity. While she received threats on her life before, unlike any other visit, her only escape was a couple of hours away. “What the fuck is going on?!” she said, grabbing her phone, while the interpreters translated her statement in milder language.

Kaguchenkov Replied, “It seems that a VOSKFLOT Regional Jet was Hijacked, Mrs. Garcia, we’re going to evacuate to a Remote Interior Sea Military base until your government can send a transport.”

García sent an SMS, on the Furbish governments heavily encrypted satellite network, requesting the plane be sent immediately. She looked up and said “Okay, I will let them know.", calmly.

The Helicopter touched down at the Airfield. Then, they entered in a Supersonic TU-140M Government VIP Transport with the designation ‘Peter I’.

The Supersonic Airliner took off and was joined by another TU-140M and 12 MiG-35 Supersonic Interceptors over the outskirts of the city. The 14 planes made the 5 Hour Journey towards the Dodo Sea.

12 Minutes before landing, Kaguchenkov started a conversation with Mrs. García.

“Let's Put the Professional Side away for a second” he said with a timid voice, “How do you live in The Furbish Islands?”

“I’s usually much more calmer than this, for one.” replied García.

Kaguchenkov Replied, “Most of us saw only War in their life… Blood… Death…” he then looked at García right in her eyes, “I’m 47… I lived throughout the Downfall of the USSRK, the post sovietic chaos, and I served in the Army in all the Unification wars…”

“That is terrible.” García said, “I remember them being all over the news here, I cannot imagine living through this.”

Kaguchenkov Replied “I lost My 2 Daughters in the wars…”

“I am really sorry to hear that.” said García.

“Foreigners depict us as Warmongers… As Barbarians… But no one understands… No one understands our pain…” said Kaguchenkov. Kaguchenkov then drank a Vodka shot.

“Yazov lost his Daughter… Eleanor… She was executed by Polakian separatists… He then lost his wife because of a Miklozian Sharpshooter… All of this in the Unification wars…” he said with a depressed tone.

García could do nothing but nod.

“Yazov… Yazov is bringing the great trial… He’s Going to avenge all of this innocents lives… He already killed the Oligarchs and Kerensky, those bastards who profited from this mess…” Kaguchenkov then looked at García and said “Furbishians are not our enemies... Neither the rest of the world… I wish you could… Just understand our pain… The pain of the whole nation…”

García nodded again. “I am very sorry to hear all of this.” she said, “And the oligarchs, Yazov killed them?”

“All of them… Until the last one…” He said.

“García, how old are you?” Kaguchenkov asked.

The news did not come as a surprise García. The director of the Furbiſh Secret Service said the oligarchs were not heard from for some time, and she and the rest of the government had a good idea of what happened to them. “I am not much younger than you.” said García.

“What marking experiences did you have?” Kaguchenkov asked.

“I’ve worked as a diplomat for many years and served in the National Aſſembly.” said García.

“You… You lived in peace all of this time?” asked Kaguchenkov.

“Though I’ve been to many war zones, most Furbishmen have.” said García.

Kaguchenkov didn't replied and remained silent until the plane landed. The 14 planes landed in Base 75KW.

“Mrs. García, your plane arrives in 30 minutes…” Said Kaguchenkov. An Army General Arrives.

“Kaguchenkov, the GRU and KGB confirms: it wasn't the southern Rebells that made this mess, preliminary reports says that 5 Dodoian Citizens were on that plane!” the General Said with a Furious Tone.

Kaguchenkov took a deep breath, “Do you mean that this act of terrorism was Dodoian?”. The General re-afirmed his statement.

García took some notes. “I am assuming it's from the communist rebels which blew up the canal and attempted to assassinate President Waldoon?” she asked.

The General looked at García. “Yes. It could be the Communists” he replied.

Suddenly a Radio Operator arrives. “Minister Kaguchenkov, we have a situation developing in Klagenfurt: Marshall Yazov Marched on the city and reconquered the Eastern Territories” he said.

With a Cynical Tone Kaguchenkov Replied “Well, we have at least one good news… We didn't need those Hrvadan Planes at the end…”

The Radio Operator then looked at García. “Mrs. García, your plane arrives in 15 minutes” he said.

García nodded, excited to finally get out of the country. “Thank you for having me here, Mr. Kaguchenkov.”, she said, shaking his hand again, “I hope we can discuss this purchase again at a later date.”

Kaguchenkov looked at García. “Try to understand our Pain as a Nation… But also be sensitive to the Pain of every government official, García” he said whilst shaking her hand.

The jet landed outside, and García was quick to board, followed her interpreters and aides. The jet took off not long after, safely landing in the Dodo Republic, where four more officials were having a visit.

“It was Viagra inside the box, Minister.” said a KGB Agent to Kaguchenkov whilst both were looking at the plane taking-off.

Kaguchenkov looked at the KGB Agent, “Motherfucker” he replied.

Fort Valkyrie Air Force Base
Dodo Republic

Morning, Friday, 30 July 2021

The Furbish government jet lands in Fort Valkyrie Air Force Base. Melberg, Trudeau, Hutters, and Lovrić, step out of the plane with their aides but without interpreters. The plane then took off almost immediately as if the pilots were in a hurry.

Suddenly a dark blue limousine shows up with official Dodoian markings, a driver and another ma step out of the car. “We are to take you north too the Presidents personal residence” The man opens the door. “It will be about a 50 minute ride so get yourselves comfortable.”

Melberg nods, and the Furbish delegation enter the limousine. The car goes along the highway, traveling through the Dodoian jungle. “Nice monster birds.” said Melberg sarcastically as he looked out the window.

“Good to know how dodobrain spends his free time.” said Trudeau, “Almost an hour away from the capital, what kind of leader would do that.”

“The more isolated you are, the easier it is to ignore reality.” said Melberg, “Though in his defense I would have stayed as far away as possible if I’ve just been shot”

The limousine turns a corner on an old jungle road, one of the few exits, and pulls into a large opening with a gate. The car pulls to a stop and the driver hands a card to the doorman, who scans it and with a nod, the gate opens. The limo would then drive down a long driveway bordered by rows of massive bamboo trees. The car then pulled into a circle near the mansions entrance. The mansion being a modern white building personally designed by Waldoon. The car pulls to a stop, and the driver opens the door, followed by the second man, presumably the butler, who walks to open the door to the mansion. Out walks Waldoon, a crutch in his left hand, and a cast on his leg, with an aid shortly behind him. “I apologize that this meeting will be under these circumstances, greetings.”

“I was wrong, and this places is an eyesore.” said Melberg in French.

The Furbish delegation steps out of the vehicle, murmuring to each other in three different languages. “Good morning.” says Melberg, in Fluvan with a light Dutch accent, “I am glad to see you are doing better after the attack.”

The Furbishmen then take turns shaking Waldoon's hand. Hutters, going third of the four, gave Waldoon a long and very firm handshake, smiling as he towered over Waldoon.

Melberg then presented Waldoon a gift, a beautiful handmade wooden box in traditional Spanish Furbish orientation. Inside is the equivalent of 1000 Fluvannian Marks in the Dodoian currency.

“That is quite beautiful, I humbly appreciate the gift.” Said Waldoon, then signaling for his butler to take it away. The Furbishmen all looked each other, trying to hold laughter, all thinking the same thing and they knew it. Their gift was supposed to be an insult but it was well received.

“Shall we go inside? It is rather hot today.” Waldoon asked, gesturing with his good hand to the door

“We shall.” said Meberg, as he and the delegation entered the building.

The butler would lead the way through the mansions main level over too a conference room over to the left, a large glass window providing a beutiful view of the surrounding mountains and wildlife. “I always liked the mountains.” commented Waldoon before gesturing for the delegation to take a seat.

“We have plenty to discuss.” said Trudeau in his heavy French accent, looking Waldoon in the eye, “This Monday terrorists blew up a portion of the canal. What does the Dodo Republic know about this incident?”

“We know that it was connected to a communist terror group known as the Red Dawn, that is based in Estovakia. Apparently there were roughly 20 conspirators in the attack, five of which we managed to capture and are now detained in Hravada, and one found dead near a charred gas tank just this morning.” said Waldoon.

“While the investigation has not yet been completed, there are four causes for concern from this attack.” said Trudeau, “That communist sleeper agents made their way into the expeditionary force, that the rest of the expeditionary force did nothing to stop the attack, and that this is all likely to happen again, which the Eastern Confederacy can use as a reason to invade.”

“I as well, am quite nervous. The TEA was enough of a problem, Yazov breathing down my back the whole time. The expeditionary force is being looked at, but so far it seems to be that these agents bypassed several background checks within getting into the Armed Forces, other then that we are unsure”. said Waldoon.

“Weren't we rude to assume Yazov and TEA was a problem without knowing the full story?” Lovrić said, somewhat sarcastically, in Fluvan in a heavy Hrvadan accent, “Regardless, it is extremely concerning that there are at least 15 more agents on the loose, likely more who can launch more attacks, and that they have somehow passed all your background checks. They need to be improved by a lot, you don't see these mutinies in the Furbish Armed Forces.”

“We have already begun this processes, and we have reason too believe that the remaining terrorists have retreated back into Estovakia. Our air force has launched several attacks on their positions.” said Waldoon.

“So three fourths of the conspirators not only blew up large portions of the canal, but successfully hid with your troops and got away with it?” asked Trudeau.

“Unfortunately yes”, said Waldoon, “Although we are sending a few inspectors to Hrvada to interogate the ones who were caught for further information. We are also working with several groups within Estovakia to help track them down”

“Unfortunately?” Lovrić said, sounding completely dumbfounded, “You need a major lapse in security for something like this to happen, not just bad luck. Your army needs a complete overhaul of security and background checks.”

”This is being overviewed as we speak” Said Waldon.

“That is good to hear, but major changes need to be made.” said Trudeau, sounding skeptical, “Now we just received word that there was an attempt on the life of our minister of trade who was discussing a possible trade deal in Moskva. An airliner crashed into the Vostonian ministry of foreign affairs building just before her helicopter landed, and they are saying five Dodoian citizens were on board that flight. Do you have anything to say about this?”

“Jesus Christ”. Was the first thing to come out of Waldoon’s mouth, “All so sudden…”

“The death toll is unknown but it is in the hundreds at least.” said Hutters, “It will take one more misstep and the Confederacy will invade. While we have promised to defend the Dodo Republic, we can't be ready to fight a war overnight.”

“I am waiting to discuss things with Yazov personally, so far we have recived nothing back although my secret agents are already in Moskova assisting the KGB down there.” said Waldoon.

“Yazov likes to take quick action, he is definitely planning something.” said Hutters, “The talks are just him buying time.”

“I’m aware, but it will buy us time as well, im almost certian that war is coming, we just need to figure out how to stall until we are ready.” said Waldoon.

“I don't believe Yazov would provoke a possible international coalition, he will look for other ways to push the Dodo Republic into his hands.” said Lovrić, “Not to mention it is extremely difficult to invade.”

“Agreed” said Waldoon adjusting his crutch “This is why we need to isolate him first, create the coailition before he can defuse the situation, and yes, I am aware of the Islands geographic advantage but Yazov sure as hell will try if given the chance.”

“He well, but he is not ready for war. At least not now.” said Lovrić.

“Yes, for now…” Waldoon said trailing off “Now, I would like to ask about forgin investment, our railways and public transport outside of the major cites are of questionable quality, and I know the Furbish have experience in the field.”

“There will be plenty of Furbish companies more than willing to invest in the Dodo Republic.” said Trudeau, “Several were recently awarded high speed rail contracts in the ACS, and more importantly there are several that can plan rail and transit networks in cities where they are lacking.”

“I would be willing to offer similar contracts” said Waldoon.

“What do you mean?” Trudeau asked.

“I would be willing to offer several contracts for furbish companies to own and operate parts of the Dodoian rail system where it needs revamping, and put it up to date.” said Waldoon.

“Ah, there will be plenty which will be willing to take them.” said Trudeau, nudging at Melberg, who was a civil engineer and owned a firm before entering politics.

Melberg shivered a little seeing the mountains, remembering how much of an engineering challenge digging Furbish high speed lines trhough the mountains was. “There sure will.” he said.

“Splendid.” said Waldoon.

“I believe that is all we planned to discuss.” said Trudeau. The Furbishmen thanked their hosts and left, sitting into the limousine which took them back to the air force base. They arrived back at the tarmac to see that their plane landed, and some mechanics inspecting an engine.

“Looks like a dumb bird got shredded in there as we were landing, engine is fine.” he said.

“Good riddance.” said Melberg.

As the plane took off, Hutters looked out the window. “Isn’t that the Idenburgs’ private jet?” he asked?

“Ask the FSS director when we arrive home.” said Melberg, laughing, while thinking of the Waldrian conspiracy theory which went viral recently.

Cabinet Meeting Room, Capital Diſtrict
Ðe United Provinces and Territories of Ðe Furbiſh Iſlands

Evening, Friday, 30 July 2021

The stadtholder and four minsters were exhausted following their week of state visits, filled with several unexpected events, which they discussed with the rest of the cabinet. “Attancia wants our ships gone or under their command, and we may have to put aside our rivalry because there are bigger problems to deal with.” said Trudeau, “And I am sure they will approve of the P. E. E. joint command. Now what was up in the confederacy?”

“I boarded the helicopter and was immediately told there was an attempt on my life they tried to tell me about but their radio was jammed.” said García, “Then a plane crashed into their foreign affairs ministry building. They evacuated me immediately to that air base where he also talked about the suffering their people endured. Yazov killed the oligarchs and will take revenge on all who caused it.”

The cabinet sat speechless. Hutters broke the silence after a long moment, saying, “Fighting murder with murder is a policy PFFP would come up with. Invading East Estovakia and killing the oligarchs only gives him more power. And his insistence to stay in the eastern axis, he disbanded the alliance only when it was clear dodobrain was leaving. Speaking of which, anyone noticed how he looked like he was waiting for his lover or something during our visit? Was he getting a new sex doll or a prostitute?”

The cabinet nodded in agreement with Hutters then laughed at his joke. “I believe it was the Idenburgs’ private jet we saw headed to Fort Valkyrie.” said Trudeau, “But it’s clear Waldoon is weak, incompetent, and more a liability in the fight against the Eastern Confederacy. That isn’t to say they are useless, the Dodo Republic will make great cannon fodder.”

The cabinet laughed again. “He is 29.” said Melberg, “At that age I got married a second time, founded a civil engineering firm with my wife, and lobbied a high speed rail plan to the National Aſſembly without even thinking about running for office.”

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. It was the director of the Furbiſh Secret Service, holding a folder, which he opened. “We have looked into this, and the Dodo Republic is not in fact jamming Vostonian radio networks in the north.”

“Not that they’re competent enough to know it doesn’t involve fruit.” said Melberg, and the cabinet and director laughed.

“This is not to mention that there are better communication methods than radio. They failed to inform you for whatever reason. The fact that they warned you just before the fact means there is a chance that they either staged the attack or let it happen.” said the director. “They said there were five Dodoian citizens on board but did not elaborate further. I doubt they had a role to play.”. He paused, looked at his notes again, and sighed. “And yes, that was Emperor Adrian’s plane you saw headed to the Dodo Republic after you left.” the director said, and the cabinet laughed. “If this has anything to do with the Waldrian conspiracy theory, yes that is true.” said the director, sighing, “This is the stupidest mission an agent has been sent on in the history of the FSS.”. He groaned as the cabinet laughed.

The Dodian Shipment and a Old Friend

Postby Celtterra » Tue Aug 03, 2021 3:41 pm

The Port of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
9:00 A.M., July 20, 2021 A.D.

The morning was bright with few clouds in the sky. Along the streets, nobles, some of whom are wearing tricorns, and commoners, some of whom are wearing kepis, can be seen walking together. Some going to or from the docks, others walking along the shops.

The young Unchel Brennus walked down one of the several streets that went to Dock Road, with four Je’daii Templars, two of whom are masters with the other two being padawans, and four Livgarginn, his personal lifeguards, who came with him from the Unchel Palas. As they drew closer to where the merchant ship sits, the captain can be seen walking down to the dock to meet the young high king.

“Greetings, your highness,” said the captain as he bowed while the Unchel Brennus walked up to him.

“Greeting captain,” said the Unchel Brennus, “I understand that I there was something that required my attention on this ship.”

“Aye, a letter and presents from the Dodoian President Pius Waldoon,” replied the captain while giving the young man an envelope.

The Unchel Brennus took the envelope and looked around the outside of it before looking up to see two cages with large tarps on covering them up. After the cages was placed on the decks, the tarps was taken off to show two white dodos.

“One is a male and the other is a female,” said the captain, now standing straight-up.

The Unchel Brennus took his Bowie Knife out of it’s scabbard on his belt and opened the letter to begin reading…

Dear his majesty, Unchel Brennus Revan III Scardonet,

I offer you a gift of two prized snow-white dodos, one male and one female to celebrate the friendship between our nations. Take good care of them, breed them if you so wish to.

-President Waldoon

Dodoian Capital District

After the Unchel Brennus finished reading, he sheathed his knife, put the letter back in the envelope, then put the envelope in his cloak.

“Thank you captain, go ahead and have two of your men bring it to the palace. Four of my guards will go with you,” stated the Unchel Brennus as two of the Livgarginn and a Je’daii master and apprentice walked toward the cages.

“Aye your highness,” replied the captain before signaling for the two sailors that brought the cages down to go the Unchel Palas.

As the dodos left for the palace, the Unchel Brennus and his guards went back toward the palace along the hills route. As they went up the final hill, the one which the Unchel Palas resides on, the largest hill in the city and it’s country-side, the Unchel Brennus saw a young lady with red hair looking over the sky.

“I wonder who it is,” thought the Unchel Brennus, “I know this road tends to be a popular travel spot, might be a traveler… wait, I know who it is.”

Revan III recognized her as Lady Mairead Duwarth of Athyncoill. Memories of them playing began to run in his head, until the bad memories began to play. Him being extremely mean to her. He began to cry while shaking his head. He then stopped shaking his head and wiped his eyes.

Revan began to step toward her while signaling to his guards to stay and wait. As he approached the lady, he took a deep breath and felt butterflies in his stomach. While he was a few feet away, she turned around. After she saw him, she began to smile and waved.

“Hey Revan, how are you,” asked Lady Mairead in Bes.

“I am doing ok, yourself,” replied Revan in the same language.

“Doing good.”

“What brings you to Llanfair?”

“I was requested to join the Council of Lords upcoming meeting. Seems that something is going to happen in the Senatus.”

“I heard that as well.”

“Any idea what it could be?”

“If I did know, I wouldn’t be able to tell you or anyone else. I can say that I will be in attendance in the Senate, though.”

“I hope it is for an amendment on the powers of individual clans, even better if it also amends the powers of the Council of Clans.”

“Any particular reason as to why?”

“It’s no secret that many of us who are neither the clan chiefs nor has any special standing in a clan gets very little privacy or freedoms in-general.”

“That is fair.”

“I would say Chief Caratacos Plantagenet is the worst offender of this. He attempts to spy on everyone’s phones, no matter if they are members of the clan or people that live on our lands.”

“This true for other clans?”

“Yes, except yours.”

“Though I don’t represent Clan Scardonet, that would be Principle Chief Robert Jackson.”

“Yet you are still the Clan Chief.”

“True. Anyways, do you have anyplace to stay?”

“Not at the moment. I forgot to book a hotel or even an apartment. Came down here in a hurry.”

“Wait, when did you become a member of the Council of Clans?”

“I became a member last year a few weeks after my birthday. You are now looking at the official Lady of Athyncoill.”

“Sweet! Congratulations! Sorry I didn’t say congrats back then.”

“It’s alright.”

“Anyways, if you want, you can stay at the Unchel Palas if you wish.”

“Would your mother be alright with that?”

“Well she wouldn’t get a say in it. First, I am the Unchel Brennus. Second, she doesn’t live there anymore.”

“Wait the rumor about you and your mother is true?”

“Yep, unfortunately. She was angry at me and blamed me for the death of my father and my grandfather. Then she started yelling at me do to me ‘breathing wrong’ or what ever she said. So she grabbed a knife and I disarmed her, which she then lain on the floor, screaming. The guards came in and saw her. She and I was then taken to the High Court to be informed of an investigation. It lasted for three hours due to a camera in the kitchen, where it happened. She was tried and was going to be put behind bars until I requested a restraining order. She is not allowed anywhere within a few mile radius. She is currently living with her family in Nomania.”

“Sorry to hear that, but I think I will take you up on your offer.”

“That… is great! I will inform my guards and they will inform the Palace Guards. One of them will take your baggage.”

The Unchel Brennus went up to his guards and told them the situation. After a few seconds, Revan signaled Lady Mairead to come to the guards, which she informed them of the location of her car and baggage. One of the guards radioed to the Palace, repeating the information. The group then went to the shops next to the dock, until a couple of guards came for her keys, which she gave to them. After a few more minuets, the group went back to the Palace.

As they entered the walled area, the Lady’s car can be seen in near the entrance of the building, with servants and slaves taking her baggage out of the trunk of the car.

As they entered the Palace-proper, Revan turned to Mairead and asked, “where do you want to sleep? They will take your baggage there.”

Before she could answer, one of the servants interrupted, “sir, the only extra bed we have is in your room. All others seems to have either bed colonies or was to the point that they needed to be replaced.”

“Well,” replied the Lady to the Unchel Brennus, “looks like that has been decided. And it was the one I was going to request.”

“Well then,” said the Unchel Brennus, turning to the servant that interrupted, “go ahead and take her baggage there.”

“Yes my lord,” said the servant, bowing while walking away.

“So, what do you want to do,” asked Revan looking back at his old friend.

“Lets finish that film we only ever got through the first few minutes of,” she replied.

“Sounds good.”

The two old friends walked to his personal movie collection room. The room looked as if it was a rounded library, but with films instead of books. After they entered, the lady closed the door behind them.

“Hey. I want to say I am sorry about our past. What I did to you is not acceptable, not matter what,” Revan said in a sad voice.

“I have forgiven you long ago. We were kids. And you were spoiled and had no idea what you were doing.”

“I had no clue what I was doing, that is true. But, it is still not forgivable.”

“Yet I have forgiven you. You must learn to forgive yourself. After all, I did what I did all those years ago, when we last talked because I care for you,” Mairead said, laying a hand on Revan’s shoulder.

“I know, and I did not deserve your kindness. I hate myself for what I done. If I could go back in time to change that, I would. Yet, for what ever reason, you still cared about me when I did that. Heck, you even offered to date,” Revan paused, attempting to stop his crying before continuing, “I never told you the main reason why I turned you down, did I?”

“I don’t believe you have.”

“I thought of you as a sister. Granted one I was extremely mean to, but still a sister.”

“I had that feeling for a while as well.”

Revan wiped his face, feeling as if a large weight has been taken off of him, then continued, “well, lets find that film. All of these films is organized from when they would have or when they do take place. Think of it as a timeline. So it should be late 1800’s… here it is.”

Revan took the dvd case and opened it, and saw the disk there, still shiny. They went through the door that is opposite of the door they entered through. Revan turned on the projector and the dvd-bluray-digital-hd-vhs player. He placed the dvd in the correct tray and closed it, before grabbing the remote.

“Do you want anything to eat,” Revan asked Mairead as they exited the room into the upper-snack-room.

“Sure, what do you have.”

“Well follow me.”

The two went to the snack bar and saw different kinds of candy, popcorn, and others.

“I’ll go with some buttery popcorn with salt and a Dr. Pepper,” said Mairead.

“Alrighty, I bring it down to you in once it is done, then I will get started on my stuff.”

“Ok.”

Mairead went through the door next to the door they entered from. Revan grabbed the microwavable butter popcorn bag and placed it in the microwave. He waited until the pops had three seconds in-between each pop after the rapid pops. Once the popcorn was done, he grabbed it, opened it and grabbed one of the several popcorn buckets to dump it in, after which he poured some salt in and shook it. After he grabbed her Dr. Pepper, he went through the same door she did and went down the steps until he was in the same row she chose.

“Here you go,” he said, giving her the drink and bucket before going back to make kettle corn.

He made some kettle corn, put it in a bucket, salted it, grabbed some Milkduds and Twix, then grabbed his own Dr. Pepper. He went to the same row as Mairead and sat next to her, taking the remote out of his pocket before sitting down. He added subtitles and stated the film they both liked when they were younger, but couldn’t finish watching due to them falling asleep since they would watch it when it was late, The Amazing 13.

Once the films began to get close to the conclusion, Mairead began to feel tired and laid her head on Revan’s shoulder. After the film ended, the two got up and took everything they had and went to the kitchen. They threw any trash they had into the trash can, before placing everything else near the sink. Revan went ahead and washed everything and place them on the drying rack. He then went to the living room. He gave her a tour of the Palace, showing what all has changed since she was last there., before spending time with his pets. They then went to the dining room to eat supper. Revan sat at the head of the table, while she sat at the other end, where the queen normally sat, at his request. They ate Beerrocks, baked potatoes, and rolls, while they drank root beer.

After supper, they watched television, before getting read for bed. Mairead changed into her pajamas in the bathroom near their room, while Revan changed into a t-shirt and shorts in their room. He exited the room when she exited the bathroom.

“I am going to grab some water, do you want any,” Revan asked her.

“No, I am good. Gonna head to bed,” she replied.

“Okay then, good night.”

She entered their room and Revan went to the kitchen. He opened a refrigerator and grabbed a bottle of water. He then went back to his room. He opened the door slowly and quietly, entered, closed the door quietly and lain in bed. He looked back at her, sleeping peacefully, before laying down and sleeping, with a smile on his face.

The Day of Mourning Dove and the First Debate

Postby Celtterra » Wed Aug 04, 2021 3:35 pm

Street of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliofofofoch
Mid-day, September 11, 2013 A.D.

The day was nice, neither too warm nor cold. Unchel Brennus Fearghal II Scardonet was in his Fluvannian-made Väkänen Zephyr, with the top down. His Wife, High Queen Kimbra, was with her family in Nomania, while his youngest son and the heir, High Prince Revan Trey Donald Scardonet was at school, since his entire school had to be open and teaching due to them having lost a day due to a sewer-leak a few weeks prior. His other son and daughter was in other parts of the Confederation of Dixon. This was one of the few moments he got, somewhat, alone.

“Glad to be done with the parade,” said the 48 year-old Unchel Brennus.

“Seems to have been a smaller turn-out than usual for the Harvest Picnic parade,” replied the Driver.

“Seems so, quite unfortunate. Though it may be due to my son’s school being open today.”

The driver looked up at the sky and noticed some dark clouds, “do you want the top up sir? Looks like it may rain soon.”

“Probably for the best.”

The Driver closed the top and saw they were about to enter a dark tunnel. He turned the headlights on and continued. Everything went black and the only thing that can be heard was the engine and wheels, before a loud bang could be heard. Soon, the sound of fire, fire sirens, police sirens, and ambulances was heard. The sound of water hitting metal and extinguishing the flames is then heard.

The next sound that followed was the sound of a man saying, “Your highness, I must speak to you privately,”

A door opening and closing is heard, with the same man then saying, “I am sorry, your father was killed in a car crash.”

Then Unchel Brennus Revan III woke up, with tears in his eyes. He grabbed his phone and saw the time.

The Unchel Brennus’s Bedroom, Unchel Palas
3:00 A.M., July 21, 2021 A.D.

Revan looked at Mairead in her bed, as to make sure he did not wake her. He then got up and went to the bathroom to use it. After his business was done, he washed his hands and went to see if his water was warm or cool.

“It’s warm,” he said in a quiet, tired voice.

He took it and quietly walked to the kitchen, filled up the bottle, and placed back in a refrigerator, grabbing a cold one from there, closing the door afterward. He walked back to his room and placed the water on the coaster on the nightstand next to his bed. He got back in bed and covered himself with his blankets, before taking a swig of water. He wiped the tears from his eyes and went back to sleep.

7:00 A.M., July 21, 2021 A.D.

Lady Mairead woke up, changed into her workout gear, and ran around the courtyard. Half-an-hour later, Revan woke up. He changed his clothes to shorts, a tank-top, a green t-shirt, and tennis-shoes. He then filled his water and put it away, replacing it with another cold bottle, before heading into the sun-room. As he entered and was deciding what equipment to use, he saw Mairead running in the courtyard.

“She is gorgeous,” he thought.

He then turned on his radio, as to hear classic Country music as he worked out. After a half-hour, she entered the sunroom. They said “good mornin” to each-other. She began to lift weights. At 9 A.M., they both stopped and went to the kitchen and made some orders. They ate at the windowed dining area. Revan ate waffles, eggs, toast, and a baked potato; while Mairead ate pancakes. After they ate, they returned to Revan’s bedroom. She grabbed a formal dress from the closet she borrowed, while Revan opened his own.

“Would you like to sit next to me in the Senate today,” asked Revan in a slightly-nervous voice.

“The High Queen’s seat,” asked Mairead.

“Technically, it is more-so a guest seat due to there being no High Queen, but yeah.”

“Sure, best seats in the house, in my opinion.”

“I’ll inform President Domhnall Druma of this.”

“Ok, I’ll use the High Queen’s bathroom to take a shower and change.”

Revan III stepped away from his closet, went to the desk in his room, and picked up the office phone to call the President.

“Mornin President Druma,” the Unchel Brennus greeted.

“Good morning your highness,” replied the President, “what may I do for you?”

“I wish to inform you that I will have a guest with me, and they will be seated next to me.”

“Okay sir, I’ll inform the guards and custodians.”

“See you then.”

The Unchel Brennus hung up and placed the phone back where it goes. He then walked back to his closet and grabbed some clothes before heading to his personal bathroom to take a shower.

After his shower and he completely dried himself, he put on his underwear and a tank-top before putting on deodorant, both spray and stick. He then put on his emerald green shirt, a pair of black shorts, and his black socks. He then put his cologne on. Next he made sure to put everything, including his black string tie putting the collar the correct way, on the way it needs to go, prior to the tartan.

He put the pin on his tartan. He then wrapped the kilt around him and placed it the correct way. Next he strapped on the chain strap for the pouch.. After that, he put on his waistcoat and buttoned it. Then he put his emerald green jacket. After that he connected his sword scabbard to his belt. Then he put the cloak, of which is the same pattern as his tartan, on himself. He then combed his hair with a wet comb, waiting a half-hour for it to dry. After his hair was dry, he then put his Pickelhelm on and placed his sword in it’s scabbard.

After he double checked everything, he then thought, “I should get something for my cousin Adrian. I know he is wanting to visit over here, one of the reasons being due to them not having done so since my father’s death. He would definitely need help with how to act properly in the court and among the people over here. I’ll see if Mairead would be interested in looking for a present or even multiple presents for him with me.”

Revan exited his bathroom and went to the crown room, which was made to store all crown of the High Kings and Queens, as well as their families. He gave the Unchel Brennus crown to the Livgarginn to take it to the Foirgneamh Domhnall. He then went to the living room and waited for Mairead.

After Lady Mairead exited the bathroom, she went to the living room. Revan noticed her when she was going down the stairs, wearing a bright red dress and high heels. He looked in awe at her. He then got up and went to her, grabbing her hand and kissing it.

“You look amazing,” he stated.

“Thanks! You look great yourself,” she replied.

They walked toward the door and entered their transport, a Fluvannian-made 2014 PoMet Turvan, nicknamed “Frynchell”, and was driven to the Foirgneamh Domhnall.

Outside of the Foirgneamh Domhnall
11:00 A.M., July 21, 2021 A.D.

They exited their transport and walked through the doors. They waited for a few seconds, when the band in the meeting chamber began to play the National Anthem of the High Confederation. As the band played, the Unchel Brennus walked down the aisle with Lady Mairead, her left arm in between his right arm and torso. After the arrived at his throne, they turned around and waited till the song was over. Once it ended, he took off his Pickelhelm, placing it on the pedestal next to him and put his crown on himself. Once he sat down, all others in the chamber took their seats.

“Ladies and Gentlemen,” President Druma announced, “all issues that is on the floor is put on hold. A Constitutional Call has been requested. The person’s reasons for the call is due to the ‘large power held by the Clans of this nation, seeking to shrink the powers and the consideration to end the Council of Clans. Wishing not to end the existence of the clans themselves, but to force them to follow the law and to no longer spy on anyone.’ As to follow our constitution, a discussion shall commence immediately.”

The discussion was kept civil by the President and ended for the day at 3:00 P.M., due to the day ending for the SPQD. Unchel Brennus Revan III Scardonet took his crown off and gave it to the Livgarginn to take back to the Palace and worn the Pickelhelm again.

“Lady Mairead Duwarth, Lady of Athyncoill,” the Unchel Brennus began, turning toward her, “my cousin, Emperor Adrian I Idenburg of the Empire of Logar has his birthday coming up. I was wondering if you would like to accompany me to look for a present or even multiple for him.”

“I would love to, your highness,” replied the young Lady.

The two entered the Frynchell and went to several stores to look for and get presents for young Adrian, the young man the Unchel Brennus helped deal with the loss of his father, the previous emperor. Once their shopping spree was over, the went to Lonicams, a high-end restaurant known world-wide for their delicious food, due to Mairead always wanting to go there.

After their food arrived, Mairead having ordered steak and fries while Revan ordered chicken tenders and fries, Mairead asked, “something I was wondering is why there is no embassies between Dalbernia and other nations. Not even with Attancia who gets many warriors from here nor Logar?”

After he finished taking a bite, he replied, “as you know, after my dad passed, all soldiers and every official that worked at an embassy was called back for the funeral and the brought everything with them. A day or two after my coronation, there was an attempt on my life by a soldier. This led to an investigation and it was discovered that he was a spy. As for whom, is currently unkown, and all embassies was closed with all nations until this is figured out. Unfortunately, it is difficult since he was shot dead by the Livgarginn.”

The two changed the topic and continued their meal. After they finished they went back to the Frynchell and rode back to the Palace.

The High Airport
7:00 A.M., August 4, 2021 A.D.

For the past few days, the Senate was debating on a new constitution. While that was happening, Mairead and Revan explored the local land. On the morning of August 4, the two of them entered the personal airport of the Unchel Brennus, the High Airport.

Revan turned to Mairead before boarding, “good bye.”

Mairead ran up to him and hugged him, crying.

“Don’t worry,” reassured Revan, “I’ll be back soon.”

They stopped hugging and Revan boarded his plane and left for the personal airport of the Emperor of Logar, expecting to land around 3:00 P.M..

First to speak on the bill was its author: Republican Member and Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade, Ludwik Ivanov.

Members, the legislation before you today is the next logical step towards containing the Eastern Confederacy and its global partners. I strongly urge you to vote yes.

Next was Naomi Hrabar, the Confederation Deputy Minister for Youth and youngest elected MP in Hrvadan history, speaking against the bill.

Honorable Members, I beg you to reconsider your support for this legislation… I’m honestly disappointed in so many members of my own party, but also the Communist and Green parties who ran on pacifistic and non-interventionist planks pledging support to a bill that is anything but.

If we pass this it brings us closer to a war with the Eastern Confederation, a war that people my age will have to fight and die in. And for what? To save the ego of a few faggy Furbishmen?

Finally was the Liberal Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Members I would just like to correct the sentiment of some Members of this chamber. The legislation on the floor is not some hawkish attempt to contain the evil Eastern Confederacy that will lead to war. No, it’s actually a pretty reasonable coercive measure that will choke the Confederacy without firing a single shot.

Speaker Broz stood up. With that we will move immediately to a vote.

The results were the following: (Yes-No-Abstain)

Confederation: 50-8-1
Liberal: 52-0-2
Republican: 52-0-0
Social Democratic: 37-1-1
Green: 20-14-1
Conservative: 6-23-1
Communist: 4-11-2
Social Credit: 9-0-1
Alliance of Rights: 0-4-0

TOTAL: 230-61-9

After the bill was assented to by President Kovačević the following message was sent to Hrvada’s PEE allies.

In accordance to recently passed legislation (S.69) I am legally obligated to inform you that the State of Hrvada will immediately be levying a schedule of sanctions including the freezing of Hrvadadan assets and the prohibiting of international business between the State of Hrvada and the Eastern Confederacy and Antarctic Circle State.

I am asking you to support the State of Hrvada’s bold action against these expansionist nations by also meeting your Article 5 of the Crvenicov-Boston Treaty (CBT) duties by backing our government up and levying additional sanctions on these expansionist states.

Thank you,

- Nazovite Svetobar MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs
