I’m causing neither, actually. Conversion campaign isn’t really desired by the govt.
The migrations are of people’s longing for economic opportunities or to reconnect with their Italian roots from before the Catholics kicked them out.

Summing up what I did:
- landed 12th century snake lady ISIS on a beach near a rural village in Apulia, somewhere I can’t see any reason why there’d be any soldiers in or nearby
- snake lady ISIS prayed and intended to wait until nightfall before their assault
- local Muslims hear their praying and alert snake lady ISIS
- the people who discovered them all died, snake lady ISIS begin attacking the village with flaming trebuchet-launched projectiles, setting the village and fields on fire
- the fighters ravage through the town, slaughtering everyone they saw yet apparently there was a whole garrison there who killed them after most of the village was dead
- shaky video footage of the attack spreads online like wildfire, the quality of the footage doesn’t make it easy to make out the fact these are your run of the mill terrorists, and no, your 1984 big brother shit won’t work in a village that might not even have Internet (exaggeration but you get my point)
- the rest of the village burns, the trebuchet operators fire last projectiles and kill all the remaining survivors of the village and burn the dead before they hide away in preparation for me to start the fire again
- the trebuchets and ships were set on fire by the last of the fighters before they finished off the village

Basically, islamophobia will go through the roof as this world doesn’t have or know about snake women so
