If there's one thing I enjoy about the High Noon Run, it's being assigned as part of the first aid contingent. Having isolation tents as standard means we can assist in onsite injuries with less of a risk of exposure to whatever drugs the entrants may have been using; the airlock also serves as decontamination. Don't get me wrong; if you do weed, you do weed, especially in the context of medicinal marijuana. Just don't do anything stupid while on weed, y'know?

"It's 11:00 am on April 20th, 2022. The annual run around Mindoro, the High Noon Run, starts in one hour! Organized by OLMAV for the benefit of COMPACT-Mindoro, the 24th High Noon Run has entrants enjoying themselves before the race begins."
Okay, that's not gonna happen until 11, but given how it's often said, can you blame anyone for predicting the introduction? And yes, proceeds from the High Noon Run are to be given to the provincial fund dedicated to keeping this part of the Confederation Coof Free. Sure, the fund was established under the Coronavirus Mitigation Package Act of 2020, but with the Confederation free of COVID-19, the funds are now being used to keep it that way.

The Gospel reading for the Second Sunday of Easter, also known as Divine Mercy Sunday, is Jn 20:19-31 for both Forms of the Roman Rite; here Jesus appears to the Apostles, first without Thomas, and then with him. The Gospel reading--not to mention the chapter--ends with one of several scriptural refutations of Sola Scriptura in verses 30-31; this refutation is echoed in Jn 21:25, the last verse of the Gospel according to St. John.
St. Thomas's response to seeing the Risen Christ and touching Him ("My Lord and my God!" from verse 28 of the Gospel reading) is often echoed to this day during the Words of Institution; as the priest elevates the Host for veneration, missals going back to before the Second Vatican Council (the latest of edition dating back to 1962) explicitly suggest that the congregation say these words silently.
Speaking of Easter, we wish our Orthodox brethren a blessed Easter!

Indeed the message she brought is the appropriate and incisive answer that God wanted to offer to the questions and expectations of human beings in our time, marked by terrible tragedies. Jesus said to Sr Faustina one day: "Humanity will never find peace until it turns with trust to Divine Mercy" (Diary, p. 132). Divine Mercy! This is the Easter gift that the Church receives from the risen Christ and offers to humanity at the dawn of the third millennium.
- Excerpt from the homily of St. John Paul II for Divine Mercy Sunday, April 22nd, 2001
The Second Sunday of Easter concludes the Octave of Easter. The Church celebrates this as Divine Mercy Sunday, originally based on the devotion to the Divine Mercy St. Faustina Kowalska (feast day: October 5th) reported as part of her encounter with Jesus; the Gospel reading in both forms is Jn 20:19-31.
The devotion to the Divine Mercy has been actively promoted by St. John Paul II (feast day: October 22nd), who canonized St. Faustina in 2000. Such was the significance of the Divine Mercy in his life that his death fell on the vigil of Divine Mercy Sunday (April 2nd, 2005), while his beatification (May 1st, 2011) and canonization (April 27th, 2014, with St. John XXIII [feast day, October 11th]) fell on Divine Mercy Sunday.

O Glorious St Mark, through the grace of God our Father, you became a great Evangelist, preaching the Good News of Christ. May you help us to know Him well, so that we may faithfully live our lives as followers of Christ.
Amen.
- Prayer to St. Mark the Evangelist
The Gospel reading for today, the Feast of St. Mark the Evangelist, is Mk 16:15-20, which covers almost all of The Commissioning of the Eleven, the entire episode starting on verse 14, and The Ascension of Jesus. In the preconciliar form of the Mass, this is a Class II Feast Day; the Gospel reading is Lk 10:1-9.
St. Mark the Evangelist authored the oldest of the Gospels, written in Greek for the benefit of Gentile converts. It is believed he wrote this at the direction of St. Peter (feast day: June 29th, with St. Paul), who took him as travel companion and interpreter; in AD 49, he would found the see of Alexandria; the churches of the Alexandrian Rite (the Coptic Orthodox Church, the Eastern Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa, and the Coptic Catholic Church) all trace their origins to the evangelist, who would be martyred in AD 68. In Italy, his feast day coincides with the Anniversary of Italy's Liberation, the triumph of the Italian resistance against Fascism and Nazism; Milan was liberated from Mussolini and Hitler on this day in 1945, and by 1949, this day was officially considered a national holiday.

I should have said this last Thursday, but even then what happened then still bothers me. So, if I haven't said it then, Bob has officially fled Crabaiaia, he is in Cavirfi right now (he planned for Cambodia originally, but due to his credentials, he won't qualify for a work or student visa there). Now, I am not bothered by the fact that he is out of Crabaiaia now, I'm happy that he no longer has to deal with the violence from the Uprising and everyday discrimination and such. But, what bothers me is that he didn't tell me before he left, so I wasn't able to say goodbye to my one and only best friend before he left. It just sucks man
Well at least he's in a place where he can enjoy life and breathe for once. But still

Ayo, so about Alex's little drama situation, it has basically escalated, Lexie's getting cancelled on basically every platform she's on right now and I am worried that my server will get involved in the kerfuffle, so earlier this morning like literally after I woke up, I went on Discord and asked Sonic and Lee if they were okay with kicking Alex out of my server's admin team for a bit, since they are admins in name only (they never go on my server for real) they agreed to me kicking Alex out of the admin team, I asked Bob (since he's also an admin) about it however he said that since he's in Cavirfi busy adjusting to his new "temporary home" right now, that he would be okay with any decision I made with the server and stuff.
So now that leaves you, @SABO, Student of the Cryptics and @Jonska Fretsburg, you're the last 2 admins in my team who haven't made a decision about this, so I would like to ask, are you okay with temporarily kicking Alex out of the admin team for the time being?
REPLY
SABO, Student of the Cryptics Laker City, Crabaiaia
@Sunshine Lavender: As a "veteran" of the Siege, I am 100% all for it, I remember when you got cancelled, it was a disaster for the server, people were spamming shit left and right and the server basically collapsed, we had to go into temporary exile in a new server to plan our counter-attack and after that we basically had to purge the server of anyone who supported the raid. I am not gonna go through that cleanup and purge process again, I especially don't want you to go through that cleanup and purge process again because I have the time to do such a thing because I don't have a job and can basically spend the entire day gaming or using Discord, while you do and have to cut 6 hours out of that process, so I don't want you to go through anymore stress.
Kick Alex out of the admin team for your sanity long-term, you won't regret it :>
REPLY
Jonska Fretsburg Ostry, Cavirfi
@Sunshine Lavender: As another good friend of Alex, I think you should kick her out of the admin team, like Sab said, while I never participated in the Siege, the things I heard of it are not good to say the least, so for your sanity, make sure the server doesn't go through another Siege, kick Alex out of the admin team and state to everyone in the server your honest reasons for kicking her out. Let's not have another disaster.
In fact, take it a step further, I suggest you ban her from the server for a while (maybe until the situation dies down), so that her very presence in the server won't attract her haters, reading the comments in her expose videos, I have that feeling that her haters are trying to find every platform that she's on just so they can attack her there, so if you don't want your server (and subsequently your sanity) to collapse, kick Alex out of the admin team and ban her for a while
REPLY
SABO, Student of the Cryptics Laker City, Crabaiaia
@Sunshine Lavender: Take Jonska's word for it, it's best to make sure that anything that might attract Alex's haters (i.e: Herself) are entirely wiped off from your server until the drama ends. I won't regret it, Jonska won't regret it, and as much as she is your best friend, you can't always help her especially if it means putting other people (your fans) in harm's way, I know this is a dilemma for you right now, but the matter is would you rather leave your best friend to fend for herself or would you rather have thousands more people deal with the consequences of helping your best friend?
REPLY
Sunshine Lavender Laker City, Crabaiaia
@SABO, Student of the Cryptics; @Jonska Fretsburg: Honestly, this ain't a dilemma for me at all, I am all for cutting off Alex's connection with the server for the time being because to be honest, Alex is one person, my server is two thousand, my line of thinking here is to help the most people regardless of my relationship with them if it means sacrificing this one person I have a good and long friendship with. Sounds harsh, but it's a decision my parents told me I'll have to make should a time like this come.
So okay, I guess the decision to kick Alex out of the admin team is final, as for temporarily banning her from the server, welp I'll have to consult Sonic and Lee (again Bob is okay with any decision I make) about that. I'll get back to you guys when they have made their decision.

Today, ships from the Republic of Kiautschou Navy and the Republic of Kiautschou Coast Guard participated in a joint freedom-of-navigation patrol with the Republic of China (Taiwan) Navy, to counter the growing threat of PRC expansionism in the South China Sea. In addition, the patrol force managed to interdict several vessels smuggling drugs bound for Kiautschou, despite that not being the primary objective. All in all, the mission was a resounding success, and a testament to our nation's unwavering resistance in the face of enemy aggression.
