The Helen J Benson Boarding School for the Gifted and Intelligent has been attacked by unknown assailants early this morning currently the whole school is under the control of the attackers. It is unknown what group is responsible or how many people attacking the school. The Joyean military had been deployed to handle the situation. Nationalist Party Chairman John Goodchild released this statement:
"Today at around 8:10 AM, multiple unknown terrorists entered the Helen J Benson Boarding School in Norivgrad and have taken many of the students, teachers, and staff as hostages. The Joyean military is working with local governments to retake the school and we will not bow down to their demands."
The terrorists announced that if power or communications are cut 10 hostages will be killed, if a terrorist is injured 10 hostages will be killed and if a terrorist is killed 20 hostages will be executed.

St. Andrew the Apostle was among the first Apostles called to follow Our Lord Jesus Christ, along with Ss. Peter (feast day: June 29th, with St. Paul), James (feast day: July 25th), and John (feast day: December 27th). He would eventually be held as the founder of the See of Constantinople--in his time known as Byzantium; just as his brother Peter would be known as The First Pope, he would be known as The First Patriarch of Constantinople.

@Kay of the Mealltach Yup, we definitely don't want a repeat of the UpdateNortain fiasco. :D

Which is why we'll be making our inroads really slowly and gently, taking as much time as needed. Right now, our first goal is to get people comfortable with using the basic features of a computer, like files, folders and word-processing. If that goes well enough, then we'll gradually introduce them to more advanced stuff. Network connectivity (e-mail, websites, etc.) won't come until much later—years or decades, and even then, it'll be restricted to our own national intranet «RINO» (Rede à Informação Numérica para Ordenadores), not the global Internet. And as long as the Church makes the rules, technology that it finds objectionable, like video games and social media, will never develop here.

So basically, we want to teach people that computers have their time and place, rather than being allowed to dominate their every waking moment. Hopefully, that'll help us avoid all the problems that other countries are suffering from, like screen addiction. And if that fails, I've got an emergency kill-code to turn off all the computers, and everything will be back to normal. :P
