Marshall Jack Wayne of the Corrish Royal Army is marrying Aleksandra Lionel, the sister of the Hopalian Vice Commander of the Forces in Sharifistan. The wedding ceremony, reception and feast will happen in Caerhays Castle in Corrington. Dignitaries from Corrington and Hopal, as well as from across the world have been invited.

The wedding ceremony will take place first in the castle chapel, followed by a large dinner and a ball for dance. This wedding will expand Corrington’s ties abroad, and cement an alliance with fellow-ICDN member Hopal.

***

The castle is completely prepared for the wedding reception and ceremony, with grand decorations throughout the chambers and halls, guards at attention, and butlers ready. The kitchens have prepared a copious amount of delicacies for the guests. Mainly military and political officials are here today; the Prime Minister a prominent members of her cabinet such as Defence Minister Nottington are there, as well as General Hewlett, Admiral Halsey and others. Nobility is also in attendance: the Duke and Duchess of Berwick, Lord and Lady Windermere, the Couhtess of Hertog, and the Marchioness of Austell. There is somewhat of a growing rift between ministry and the nobility/royalty, with the military somewhat in-between. The groom in focus, the honourable Marshall Jack Wayne, was in official military uniform for the special occasion, and anxiously awaited the Hopalian guests... namely his fiancé Alexandra Lionel.

Harrison Reid, his wife Elaine and brother Sigismund arrive early at Caerhays Castle, Harrison had attended many of these kinds of events representing Hopal, but strangely enough never one with a Hopalian involved, but that was before he was appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court he had been busy with cases since then. But it was great to be back, and what a great opportunity it was, as the Reid's were good friends with the family of the bride. After all it was Sigismund Reid who gave the Hopalian Medal of Leadership to James Lionel, back when he was still Captain James Lionel, after led aircraft and chased down enemy aircraft. Since then the Reids have gotten to known the Lionels and had become good friends, and here they were at the wedding of Alexandra Lionel. Harrison, Elaine, and Sigismund entered the castle, looking around waiting to greet someone.

Guards in their formal dress uniforms lined the entrance hall. A butler was present, who had let them in, and also the prime minister Madeline Fletcher with her husband David Fletcher and General Thomas Hewlett. The three of them had decidedly gone to the castle entrance to greet official guests as a point of professional hospitality. And to avoid the small talk of nobles who roamed the halls at every corner. A guard with a trumpet played Hopal’s national anthem as Supreme Court Justice Reid, his wife and his brother entered. Mrs. Fletcher extended a hand towards the trio. “Welcome to Corrington! It is absolutely wonderful to meet you”, she welcomed, with a long emphasis on her Corrish vowels.

Sultana Nura Khan, known as Sultana Nura-i-Ghavi (Sultana Nura the Strong) and Sultana Nura-i-Feth (Sultana Nura the Conqueror) arrives at the castle, with her guard, Prem. Adorning a red Pashtun dress, she walked up to the great building, hoping to actually enjoy herself for once.

Corrish guards invited Sultana Nura into the castle as she made her way across the lawn. Upon cue, a guard performed the Insaanistani national anthem. The Prime Minister, shortly after having welcomed the Hopalian Supreme Court Justice and his family, welcomed Nura Khan. “Sultana Nura-i-Feth... it is an honour to finally meet you.”, the Corrish Prime Minister said shaking Nura’s hand before curtsying.

She then heard the sound of a helicopter, and the trumpeting of the national anthem of Sierra Grand.

“And you as well. I hope the couple have a splendid time. Oh! I almost forgot! One of their gifts is already here!”
Nura dashed outside for an extended period of time. Eventually, a loud noise could be heard from outside the palace. It sounded like... and elephant?
Nura was sitting atop an African Elephant, which trumpeted again.
“Where should I put Faisal?” she asked, seemingly referring to the animal she was riding.

The Prime Minister was in shock at the awesome sight. An elephant!?

She pondered for a moment. She then turned to General Hewlett and several guards. “Open the South gate, I think there would be room for a creature of that gargantuan size...” she stammered to them. “N-Nura, why don’t we put it through the South gate by the horse stables, near the garden”, she suggested.

“Okay!” Nura rode Faisal over to the desired location. She jumped off him and stroked his trunk. “I’ll be back. Don’t worry.”
She turned to the workers there “Make sure to feed him tree branches, apples, carrots and bananas.”

One of the castle staff made quick note of these requests. “Yes, Your Royal Highness.”, they said with a prompt and polite bow. Despite the surprise, they were proving flexible enough to accommodate and provide for Faisal.

Now out of sight of her guard, Prem, Nura unsheathed her sword and swung it around. A fierce fighter despite only being 17, she had long had a slightly disturbing fascination with sharp objects. Nura has once told her older sister, Soraya, after Soraya had taken a knife away from her, “I like daggers because they’re easy to carry and hide and are easy to use, and there are less places to leave fingerprints.”
Nura had been 4 years old at the time she said that.
Soraya was not currently the Sultana, but she was still Nura’s older sister, and she had ordered Prem to make sure Nura didn’t touch her sword or any of her daggers unless she was in danger. But Prem seemed to have lost her, so she swung her sword happily as she walked back toward the front of the castle.

By now some of the nobles and royalty had arrived to meet the Sultana and the two Sierrese sovereigns. Marchioness Elizabeth and the Duke of Berwick saw the sword-wielding Sultana approaching.

Nura shifted the sword to her left hand. And extended her hand out to the Marchioness (not to the Duke, however, as he was a male.)
“Hello,” she said. “I am Sultana Nura of Insaanistan. Pleasure to meet you.”

She smiled again in response to the sovereign’s reference to her as “Sir”. While many would be appalled, she saw it as a greater sign of respect and reverence. And strength. “Well then, the castle lounge should do just fine for now, unless you desire to be taken to your guest room?”, the Prime Minister asked. She wasn’t in charge of the wedding operations, but she was quite knowledgeable about the castle and the hierarchy around the place.
