But then, the moment arrived and something changed. He saw their loving embrace, and the beauty of the fireworks behind them, and couldn’t feel anything but happy for the two of them. Just as he began to cheer for the two, however, someone’s drinking glass hit him in the head and rolled down an aisle. He had not heard her warning over the fireworks. “HOORAAY—argh! W-what?”, he exclaimed as wine flew across his face. His guards momentarily struck a defensive pose, before seeing that it had only been Magdalena von Majevski’s drunk younger sister.
Audelia von Majevski rushed to the prince’s side and immediately rattled off a stream of apologies. “I was just startled by the fireworks!”, she insisted to the guards.
Among the sheer chaos and general excitement about the guests, John couldn’t help but be entirely confused. Well, and he had just been hit in the head by a glass and was now covered in wine. “Oh, Audelia?”, he asked. He slowly got up, and several of his guards already had napkins and started cleaning off the Prince’s face. “Are you alright?”
