In the midst of the Starfall preparations, the restructured TÖBUK has opted to continue on the path of unconventional genre selection pioneered in the last edition.

They say the night is darkest before the dawn. Well, the skies have certainly grown increasingly heavy with the color of maroon and dried blood. The smoke rising from pillaged city centers and ravaged government houses only adds to the grim pall.

The forces of hatred seem to have reached their peak tide in the past week. But those who stand by love and order are only beginning to find a semblance of an upper hand in the pulsating chaos. Civilized life balances on a knife edge, even as many turn away to blindly pursue "life as usual" amidst the destruction. The surrounding powers of Liberuia, Nevetaia, and Naforacha find themselves at a loss to aid the convulsing body of what was once the greatest benefactor and instigator of the world.

In the same manner, the internal power structure has been upset. The old giants of the nation find themselves wracked with a power struggle never seen before, as even the highest executives and representatives reveal their desires of bloodlust and supremacy wrapped in a flag of nationalism. The demons of the worlds below cackle and cavort at the panicked frenzy that has engulfed the standbys of Tödlichebujoki society, not least the government itself, and corporate greats like TÖBUK as well.

There is grief, there is prayer. But as the sounds of stone and metal give way to the hiss and crackle of electronics, so too will hardship pass and reconstruction follow.

Folkandvision Song Contest

Postby Saintrabina » Thu Jan 21, 2021 1:12 am

Image

As long as more than two Folkandish nations can't participate in a single contest, Panfolkandish broadcaster AVF together with local broadcasters - LAVF, RAVF, SAVF and KAVF, are forced to choose among the four countries to let them participate in Worldvision (and World Hit Festival). Internal selection in the previous edition was rather negatively received by the public opinion that accused AVF of favoring richer Folkandish State of Saintrabina and Christarnea while deprecionate poorer Rusmailica and Lotnuscora. For this reason AVF decided to organize public selection where each Folkandish broadcaster has to apply one entry for the competition. AVF provides cooperation with foreign juries to avoid unfair results. Therefore we invite you to the first edition of the Folkandvision Song Contest.

We are honored to annouce this edition participants. Remember, only two of them will be able to participate in the Worldvision Song Contest.

To participate in Folkandvision as a jury you have to rank the following songs in order to distribute 5 (for the best one), 3, 1 and 0 (for the least favourite) points and send your votes to Saintrabina via telegram. Thanks in advance!

OFFICIAL BID FOR RHIM FLAVEZZTOWLAND TO HOST THE 88TH WORLDVISION SONG CONTEST

Having participated in every WorldVision edition since the 86th, and having held a domestic national final for the first time near the end of 2019 (which was when WorldVision 87 was on the horizon), Rhim Flavezztowland has been showcasing a selection of its artists on the international stage ever since it participated in the 55th World Hit Festival. Now, with another WorldVision edition on the horizon, not only is there another Flavezztowlander national final (this time under the name of FMfesta) - Rhim Flavezztowland also wishes to be the host nation of the 88th WorldVision Song Contest.

In this host bid, you'll get to know a number of details about the proposed host city, venue, stage design, hosts, and graphics. Please note, however, that parts of this bid can change at any time!

THE PROPOSED HOST CITY

First of all, we'll introduce the proposed host city for WorldVision 88: Flavezztowland City, Rhim Flavezztowland. Even though many of Rhim Flavezztowland's cities could play host to an event like WorldVision, Flavezztowland City was chosen among all of them for three reasons: 1) It's the Flavezztowlander capital, 2) due to its location and history, it's the center of the Flavezztowlander economy and considered to be one of Rhim Flavezztowland's most historic cities, and 3) as it's got a world-class international aviation hub that's been named the "Best Airport in Rhim Flavezztowland" for 26 consecutive years since 1995 - the Flavezztowland City Airport - and a harbor that faces south to the Bay of Nortend, its flag carrier (Air Flavezztowland) is fairly connected with the etMultiverse.

The city itself is divided into 15 boroughs; one of them, the Borough of Midchester, is considered the city center because it houses the Flavezztowlander government complex, which dates back to the year 1903 when the then-present Flavezztowlander military junta ordered the construction of a new government complex in Flavezztowland City to replace the now-destroyed one that was built during the era of the Third Flavezztowlander Kingdom (1789-1901), which has been used by the current republican government since the Flavezztowlander Declaration of Republicanization was signed in 1960, and which is commonly associated with its Regency-style parliamentary building and clock tower.

Flavezztowland City's history starts way back in the era of the Pre-Unification Kingdoms (100 BCE-510 CE), when the Nortender Kingdom was founded, its capital (Nortend City) being on the same site as the present-day Flavezztowlander capital. Due to the Battle of the Kingdoms (which occurred in 510 CE and subsequently led to the formation of the First Flavezztowlander Kingdom), as well as multiple natural disasters and urban development occurring ever since, however, the only remnants of the once-existent Nortender Kingdom in present-day Flavezztowland City are the ruins of the Grand Palace of Nortend. At the start of the era of the First Flavezztowlander Kingdom, the Nortend City site was chosen for the construction of the kingdom's capital city, Flavezztowland City, for its historical links; it was also the capital of all Flavezztowlander states that followed and, even as a part of the current Republic of Rhim Flavezztowland, is still the Flavezztowlander capital.

Despite Flavezztowland City housing a number of other historic buildings besides the ones in the current Flavezztowlander government complex, the further away you go from the city center, the more buildings in more modern architectural styles you'll see (e.g. one of the city's Bay of Nortend-bounded boroughs, the Borough of Cupertino, has a conglomeration of buildings with glass facades). Buildings aside, Flavezztowland City is also known for its urban green space, robust metro system, and unique cuisine - in fact, the origin of the dish of Nortender lasagna (a dish of lasagna made with Flavezztowlander cheese - a cheese made with almond milk, garam masala, and parsley - as well as a special sauce and potatoes) is this very city.

Image

THE PROPOSED VENUE

Of course, every event needs a venue, and here, as it's already been proposed above that WorldVision 88 be held in Flavezztowland City, we're proposing here that the venue for the event be none other than the Eastin Millennium Arena, an arena in the eastern parts of the city that seats a maximum of 40,000 people. As 1) it's located close to an arterial road that starts in the center of Flavezztowland City and 2) it's directly accessible from the Eastin Bridge station of the Flavezztowland City Metro, the arena is a very convenient place to host an event in Rhim Flavezztowland. The arena opened on March 29, 2000, and has hosted a lot of concerts ever since. In addition, it's the current home arena of the Flavezztowland City 19ers - a basketball team that practices at the arena every day - and is the host of the Flavezztowlander Basketball League (FBL) Nortend Cup that takes place every July.

Aside from the main arena, there'll be multiple areas within the Eastin Millennium Arena that'll be used by participants, hosts, fans, and sponsors alike. The event itself will be broadcast on a big LED screen outside the arena, a function room on the first basement will be used as the green room for the event, and the arena building's balconies will be used as the areas where fans will be able to participate in the WorldVision festivities before the contest begins. Besides, to deter the spread of COVID-19, only up to 19,000 people will be allowed inside the Eastin Millennium Arena for the event, and all surfaces will be regularly disinfected with alcohol-based disinfectants; on another note, security guards will be tasked to enforce social distancing inside and outside the arena.

Image

THE PROPOSED STAGE DESIGN

Since the stage is a very important part of a WorldVision edition, we can't really forget about it, so let's get into the proposed stage design for WorldVision 88. The wall at the rear of the stage will come equipped with 3 LED screens (one directly behind the stage itself and two on both sides of the wall), and lighting that can either change color or be turned off depending on the tone of the performances are included in the stage design. In addition, special effects such as pyrotechnics can be emitted from the stage's perimeter.

Image

THE PROPOSED HOSTS

Every show needs hosts, and thus, for this bid, we've chosen 3 people to host WorldVision 88. The first of them, Derek Bennett, was born in 1989, and is the current host of the MetroMusic Networks-produced variety show Sunday Morning Live with Derek. Since he's currently hosting a variety show produced by the same broadcaster as the one who broadcasts WorldVision to Flavezztowlander viewers, it'd make sense for him to be part of the hosting crew. The second of them, Erica Gomez, is a famous Flavezztowlander actress and model who was born in 1991, whilst Marilyn Chang, the last one of the proposed hosting crew, is a Flavezztowlander singer-songwriter who was a member of the Blueyoung Entertainment girl group Heart Zone from the group's debut until she left it in 2017.

Image

THE PROPOSED GRAPHICS

As the motto we're proposing for this WorldVision edition is "All Nations Unite!", we've chosen to include circles in all of the graphics, as we believe that they represent the concepts of unity and social groups. In the graphic at the top of this bid, you'll notice that four circles have been interlocked to represent the number 88, which is the number of WorldVision editions that'll have taken place once WorldVision 88's over.

The scoreboard, by the way, has been designed in a way that lets you see the hosts and the scores simultaneously, and will have the circle graphics in the background. Below is an example of how the scoreboard would've looked like had this bid been the winning one for WV87:

Image

In addition, postcards will be included like last edition; this edition's postcards will also include the circle graphics in the background. In the case that this bid wins the host voting, we'll be asking that participating nations provide two colors plus a word or phrase in an official/national/widely-spoken language, the name of the language it's in, and its English equivalent. The postcards in question will, therefore, include text that says "[word/phrase in an official/national/widely-spoken language of your nation] ([language name] for "[English equivalent])" in the center, a background with the circle graphics, and the nation's name and flag in the lower-left corner.

The first example (below) has the text "Nünui? (Nortender for "How are you?")" in blue and red, the nation's name as Rhim Flavezztowland (the nation making this host bid), and the Flavezztowlander flag.
Image

The next example (also below) is for the host of last edition (Polkopia), and has the text "Clipeta (Polkopian for "Moment")" in orange and black.
Image

The last example (again, below) is for the winner of last edition (Britonisea), and has the text "G'nie! (Britonish for "Let's go")" in blue and red.
Image

And that concludes the bid for WorldVision 88 to be hosted in Flavezztowland City, Rhim Flavezztowland. Thanks for reading it!

CarrelieOne proudly presents.. the Carrelian Host Bid for Worldvision 88!

Image

Ah, Carrelie! Land of rivers, land of hills, land of music. There's a lot to see and do, which is why we believe it'd be the perfect host for the Worldvision Song Contest! Of course, we've only been here for 2 editions, but that shall not deter us!

With so many cities and towns and arenas, where will the contest be held, should this bid succeed? Perhaps Haufenburg, the nation's largest city, Densmouth, the capital, or Mont-Sanguine, the cultural heart of Douria. The answer is none of these. The city of Mont-Depelier is the answer!

About Mont-Depelier
Mont-Depelier is the third-largest city in Douria. This city of 776,000 is divided into 6 arondissements: Central, Sainte-Marie, Victoire, Saint-Guillaume, Hameaux de César, and Bord de la Rivière. Its metro is one of the most developed in the region, having its start in 1904 and still expanding to this very day! Its airport is also very important, and in the year of 2019 saw over 11 million passengers from destinations the world over! This economic powerhouse is the perfect blend of history and industry.

The city first emerged as the capital of the Duchy of Mantoille during the days of the Carrelian Confederation in 1223. The duke at the time, Jean I, was in need of a capital in a strategic place as the confederation slowly crumbled, and so picked a spot on the Rhine. When the city was later absorbed by the Grand Principality of Douria in 1472, the city remained important in the region.

There's a lot to do in Mont-Depelier. With high-end botiques, fancy restaurants, five-star hotels, beautiful public parks, interesting museums, entertaining theatres, and even a theme park, it's likely one of Carrelie's top tourist destinations for people from all over the world! It really will make you wish you were here!

Image
From top-left to bottom-right: Church de Sainte-Marie, Sainte-Marie; Le Rédempteur de Mont-Depelier, Victoire; Le Pont Rouge, Sainte-Marie; Balamourie, Bord de la Rivière.

The Venue

The venue of the night would be the prestigious L'Arène de L'Europe au Mont-Depelier, in the arrondissement of Central. This stunning arena is part of the Dourien Entertainment Complex, and its construction was completed in 2004 in preparations for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. With a capacity of approximately 27,000 people, this arena is sure to be more than enough for Worldvision!

Image

Of course, the stage is absolutely stunning too, with 4 LED screens at the back, a rotatable ring of rotating lights with extra lights also in the back, and a distinctive V-shaped design. All these elements combined allow for the unleashment of creativity, especially when coupled with the use of pyrotechnics and even confetti cannons, which are available upon request by the broadcaster.

Image

The Hosts

The event will have three hosts. The first of which will be the lovely Vian Genamann. You may recognise this 76 year old as the Carrelian commentator of Worldvisions 86 & 87, and Dentrician commentator of Eurovisions 1973 onwards and winner of the 1978 contest, she followed Carrelie through almost all its wins and losses. She was also the host of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. With expertise in spades, there could be no better candidate for the job!

Image

Our next host is the considerably younger 32 year old Karola Otavic, of Sorech descent. This actress has starred in many famous movies, and many Carrelians recognise her for her Sorech accent. Deep down, she's always had a love for music, and was captivated by Eurovision as a child, especially when Carrelie won the contest in 1994 and 2004. With beauty beyond compare, what better candidate could there be for such a job?

Image

Our final host is the 21 year old Monique Camille Desantante. Her work as a model has in recent years brought her to the nation's spotlight, and her music career has prospered. In fact, her participation in Eurovision 2018 was awarded thanks to the televote, which she won by a landslide. With popularity in spades, there would never be a more attractive candidate than her!

Image

The Postcards

The postcards very much follow the theme of 'Wish You Were Here!', being modeled after real life postcards. Nations will be asked to provide two national colours and 'Wish You Were Here!' in their language to be translated onto the postcards. After the postcards are displayed, each participating artist will be showcased experiencing the sights of Mont-Depelier, from lounging in a pool by sunset to rolling high in one of Mont-Depelier's many casinos.

Image

Image

ImageNote: Nations with large amounts of white on their flags will have their postcard's text encased in a border. CarrelieOne would like to apologise for the inconvenience.

The Scoreboard

Thank you for your time and we hope to see you in Mont-Depelier very soon!

Axuva Today Network [ATN] Today we announce that the Axuvian Government now recognizes The Russian Language as an Official Language, Korean and English were spoken in the beginning, but there were Russians too, russians were forgotten and their language were not recognized due to the things they did in the past, but now their language is a official language of Axuva, and there will now be 3 official languages instead of two.
