Parliament assembled for an emergency session last night to discuss the issue of Rhodesia. Many were reluctant to send forces, to get embroiled in another war, as Hopal was already fighting in Sharifistan. But seeing the atrocities, many were convinced that it was necessary to send forces. By a vote of 450-192 Parliament voted to send peacekeepers to Greater Rhodesia. 2,000 troops, 20 tanks, and 35 air superiority aircraft will be sent to Greater Rhodesia.

We may be interventionalists, but I don’t think we can supply enough troops for that. We can protect some civilian and government sites in case things get ugly, but if 200 million of your citizens are in revolt... well that’s just popular sovereignty.”
