A Destiny Fulfilled - Remainder of Eristys Brought Under Noctish Sovereignty

A sense of pride overtook the government halls of Tyrnau today, as the Noctish presence in Eristys finally completed its nearly-decade long mission to pacify the island continent. For nearly the past year, much of the island's interior had proven difficult for Noctish forces to conquer, or for Noctish diplomats to subjugate, largely due to its less-than-ideal climate and, up until recently, hostile populace. Border skirmishes and raids were a fact of life for many of the border regions for the past several months, all of which will now come to an end as the interior peoples of Eristys have been convinced to accept Noctish sovereignty, in exchange for a significant degree of autonomy within the Dominion of Eristys. Work has already begun on integrating these new lands into the now-whole Eristys domain, as well as construction of a direct east-west rail link between Tyrnau (capital of the eastern half of Eristys) and Mylaviac (capital of the western half).

At the same time, a detachment consisting of two battalions of the 41st "Mylaviac Division" landed on the formerly-Harrenese island of Kos, on the western edge of Eristys. Kos previously served as a fuel depot and naval base for one of Harren's infamous "swarm fleets". Finding the island completely abandoned, yet with most of its equipment and facilities relatively intact, the occupation forces quickly set to work repairing the island's military facilities, now to be put to use for the Noctish Realm. Remnants of Harrenese "swarm ships", mostly physically intact yet barely functional after spending so much time abandoned, were quickly taken back to Mylaviac to be studied and, eventually, scrapped. As the island is completely uninhabited, save for the newly-installed Noctish garrison, there are currently no plans to incorporate the island into any territorial entity within the Confederation. Instead, the island will be considered a military territory under the direct control of Neustri and the Supreme Commandership.

[Aexorouwyth]

Following the attack on the fort, which began the process of expanding towards the west, Aexorouwyth has re-declared war on the Northern state due to violation of the treaty. The proud able-bodied people of Aexorouwyth almost immediately joined the military to service their country.

Following the last statement he made, a smaller division of the army was sent to shut off any means of the northerners escaping to the south by claiming the tiny gap between Aexorouwyth and the Nation of Natufia. Tensions are high in the east, with the Aexorouwythian military attacking and occupying the eastern state with no declaration of war.

Oceanion: Free Wnescian Forces Continue Fight Over Valtameri

Amidst the political crisis occurring in Oceanion created as a result of the sudden dissapearance of its two most important leaders on September 27th, the Valtamerian nation has found itself with another large issue at its hands: the surprise landfall of several Free Oceani units in imperial territory for the first time in its history, as part of what is known as “Operation Biscuit”.

Lord President Alexander Sieger’s last known location was at his main home in Siegerland, where he was reported to be sleeping at least until 3 in the morning.
Lord Supreme Admiral-Director Magnus White, was last seen near his base in Aufhalden. Rumours say he was watching the sunset.

The autarchies of Wnescia, Northern Wnescia, Lophiran, Klathura, Aeben and Hardin, along with the special city of Hostel are currently considered Free Wnescian territory, and have been formally organized earlier this morning. While the invading forces hold a claim to the whole of the Oceani Empire, there are no signs of further expansion into imperial territory. A Free Oceani spokesman has said that "they hope the population of Oceanion wakes up and fights alongside Free forces in their own cities and autarchies".



The Federated Republic of Oceanion, home to the Free Oceani Forces, has been based in Shuraya City, Haja-Mishu for more than one year. It is a government-in-exile leaded by Gretchen Greene and Jack Archipov, and it claims to be the legitimate government of Oceanion.
The Free Oceani movement houses members who propose a wide variety of political systems and ideologies for a future Oceani nation, such as valtamerism, ksarism and federalism.

The Oceani Empire, along with the United Republics of Jiqaz and the Crown of Frezko compose the “Maritime Free Area”, which is a trade bloc focused on maritime trade between Archon, Epilo, Meridia, Valtameri and Strei-Ar.

Giorgio Pavori, Frizch ambassador to Oceanion, has spoken with Radiotelevisione frezka earlier this afternoon about the current situation in Port-au-Bernard. He speaks about the occupation as becoming “quite peaceful” once the few Imperial forces stationed in the city retreated to Ksarka and Elizabeth, and he announced that he will be visiting the Charterpol headquarters tomorrow.

There are several reports of riots and civil unrest in other parts of the Empire, such as Ša, Douglas, Elizabeth, Vilhelmia and even Siegerland. Lord Minister of State Guy-Pierre Dufort, the last remaining member of the Triumvirate, appears to be struggling to exert imperial control over the invaded territories.

Valtameri: Imperial Commander of Kijidan Surrenders

The Free Wnes Provisional Government has announced the complete liberation of Kijidan Province and the islands of Ša, along with the West Oceanion Military Base’s capture earlier this morning in a series of broadcasts from ‘s-Frezkrijkbosch, Northern Wnescia.

General G. Black has announced that these are the last territorial expansions the Free Oceani are planning to make, as they are very optimistic about the Imperial government's eventual collapse in the near future thanks to the nation-wide riots, as well as the international pressure it is experiencing.

Street fighting and strikes were said to be raging in numerous Oceani cities, such as Mouwzall, McFly, Puerto Douglas and Same.

Meanwhile, the Island Tuks that inhabit the Beniri Islands have reached out to the international community as food shortages loom. The small territory has found itself separated from the rest of Oceanion as the major political crises in the continent and overseas are taking the nation’s full attention.

The Frizch government will provide food and clean water to the group of Oceani islandswhile the situation in continental Valtameri is solved.

Hallen Islands purchased by Frizch Ministry

Free Royal City of Gaude, Nov. 11 (AdSF)

The Minister of Science, Technology and the Environment has announced the acquisition of the Caelston Archipelago, located south of Metropolitan Frezko in the Atrahassian Ocean.

The purchase is part of an environmental initiative by the royal government to promote the study of the subpolar and polar regions of our planet. The group of islands was purchased from an internationally unrecognized peninsular nation in Meridia, one of many others around the world that continue to be created as more stable governments cease to exist.

It is expected that these new Frizch investments will help to stabilize the region and create new opportunities for those living in the southernmost areas of Meridia.

The islands are to be administered as a Crown Territory under direct authority of the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment. More information about the new administration will be available in the following hours.

Casella and Epillon to Join the Pan-Rusinian Project

Large swathes of the former Iryllian province of Malakhurst, along with the formerly-Chargrenite exclave in the south of Casella Province are to be the latest additions to the Pan-Rusinic project, following negotiations with what remains of the local authorities. The two regions - Malakhurst as the most industrialized province of the now-defunct Iryllian state, and Southern Casella as a strategically vital Chargrenite naval base - were struck hard by the fallout of the Great Rusinian War. Malakhurst, and in particular its capital Forqona, remain particularly destitute with the collapse of one of the Charter's most impressive landmarks - the Space Elevator - as the city was reduced to mere ash. The province has already been swarmed by analysis and recollection teams, sent to ascertain the resource costs and manpower needed to restore order and economic function to the battered province. Ultimately, plans are for the province to once again become one of the main industrial regions in the whole of Rusina, with its central position along the southern edge of the continent providing many avenues for trade, though it is unlikely that Forqona and its province will ever reach the heights of global prominence that they once did.

Casella provides a much less horrifying story. Chargren had remained neutral in the great conflict between the Iryllians and Myraxians, though that did not prevent their ultimate demise in the wake of the Great War due to its strategic position between the two countries. Naval facilities dotted the coast of Southern Casella, in part due to the region's strategic significance to the West-East trade routes from Epilo to Rusina and Archon, a position it shares with the Focal Islands, long held by Noctish forces since the collapse of the Northern Covenant. The vast majority of these facilities remain relatively intact, though remain unmanned and suffering from severe decay. The Reclamation Authority has unveiled plans to turn Casella into a premier trade hub and launchpad for future operations in Epilo and beyond.

More importantly in the interim, however, is the planned campaign of "de-Iryllianization" to be conducted throughout the occupied regions, and eventually the entire island. State symbols and institutions of that decrepit empire that managed to survive the Great War are to be purged and destroyed, and its remaining population to be re-educated into civilized citizens of the world. The Iryllian empire, along with the northern states of Myraxia, Asgareth, and Valyria, turned Rusina into a battered warzone, with state ideologies that promoted senseless violence and endless war, turning their populations into mere cattle. Thus, officials in Neustri and among the Reclamation Authority view any process that weeds these dangerous politics out of the island's population as not just beneficial, but ultimately necessary to peace in Rusina. As the last of the old Rusinian powers to survive, it is up to Noctia to raise the rest of the continent to civilization and global prominence.

Pro-Jiqazi Lexim Populations Relocated to Imia, Axrio.
Following Roman conquest of Oceani Archona and Pro-Roman protests across the island of Leximus, the Jiqazi Secretary of the Interior, Liam Hiow, has recommended Pro-Jiqazi citizens to relocate to the mainland ahead of referendums on the island about it's status. Also making similar recommendations are Axrio Prime Minister, Isaac Kovalsk, who is organizing the funding for these relocations. Jiqazi mainlanders are also being asked to take caution before taking trips of their own to the island.

Jiqaz officially voted to adopt a new flag. The winning design, submitted by Chuuk Art Institute student Haran Ilan, won a remarkable 53% of the vote between the finalists, beating out even the traditional Jiqazi 'Gambier' flag. This new flag has been nicknamed the Wing Forward flag due to its use of a stylized depiction of a Spectral Macaw feather.
Munt Gixas has voted to rename itself to Ciuda Jiqaza, with the surrounding Capital Territory being renamed to Mt. Jiqaza.
Bandoa has officially elected it's first provincial governor, Austin DeLichi.

Bandoa Project Continues
Word from the Executive Council postulates that round two of the Bandoa project shall go forward as planned. New Bandoan governor Austin DeLichi expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you not only to Jioku for accepting us as an equal province but also to Jiqaz as a whole for giving our people a feeling of security that has been lost in since the times we lost international recognition following the fall of the Lichian Administration."
Following what feels like immense pressure in the east, many Jiqazis breath a sigh of relief as the western expanses feel more calm.

Shocking Referendums
News has just broke in Lexim, as the island of Leximus has voted 74% in favor of leaving Jiqaz to join to Rome. This comes on the same day the Igla Archipelago between Bandoa and mainland Jiqaz petitioned to the Executive Council to be incorporated into Bandoa, by a vote of 38,320 to 32,194. Jiokun minister Jeffrey Thompson and Axrio Minister Isaac Kovalsk are expected to travel to Nova Roma to meet with Roman Imperator Caesar to determine a peaceful way to move forward. This also marks the first instance of somewhat friendly relations, at least on Jiqaz's end, since Rome first announced it's desires for the island of Leximus.

Celsan and Hyundai to enter nations in the Sovereign Charter ?

Celsan is considering entering the nations of Alhbamaya, Neustri and the Frezko Islands.

Celsan will be importing four models, the Cekara hatchback and estate, CF46 sedan/stationwagon and Aurita sedan/stationwagon.

The Cekara is based on the Peugeot EMP2 platform which underpins the Peugeot 308 and Opel Astra.

Where this one differs is under the bonnet; a choice of 1.6-litre 125bhp 4-cylinder naturally aspirated, 1.5-litre 170hp 4-cylinder turbo petrol and a 204hp electric version with a 152kW electric motor.

The Cekara will be available as a hatchback, saloon and estate, but most markets will get only the hatchback or stationwagon bodystyles.

It will offer front- or four-wheel-drive.

Celsan are also importing the CF46 sedan and stationwagon, which is rather retro-styled for a mid-size car

The CF46 sedan has a choice of just two engines for this region; a 2.0 litre 146bhp 4-cylinder petrol and a 2.3 litre 185bhp 4-cylinder turbo. No hybrid or electric models are planned, and there's no hatchback version coming.

Yes, it's a clone of the Mazda 626, but it's different enough in size and equipment to not be a full rip-off. Unoriginal it may be, but many buyers won't care.

Finally, there's the Celsan Aurita, but no info was available yet on this.

We also are told Hyundai are considering expanding in the region soon, but no more information was forthcoming on that.

Inhabitants, Cities, and Industrial Complex of Recovered Northern Territories are Strong, Developed, and Pretty Chill

KUNGTHEP—The members of the Northern Research and Recovery Corp are reporting in after three long months. The news is good about the territories recently re-introduced and re-united with the disparate peoples of the Foundhome Republic. The north coast is very much unlike the savannas and humid forests of the rest of the nation. The atmosphere is far more coastal, the area far more developed, and the latte's far creamier.

"It's quite the shock," says corp sociologist Malcolm Vephung. "Less than a year ago we started out into vast stretches of wilderness and were all excited to discover a new bug or something. Now we have to wait at crosswalks for people on scooters and roller blades pass by before we go meet local officials."

While the westernmost areas currently being re-incorporated into the FHR are mostly desert, the northernmost territories are essentially a seaside paradise. When asked, locals in the largest city in the northern territory— that being Kungthep—explained their success and how they have remained largely unnoticed by the FHR and the rest of the world. "We're just chillin', relaxin', doin' our own thing, man," states Jacob Hyun. "It's just what it is, you know?"

"We like to think that, hey, if the people in the south catch up with us, that's cool, be if not, hey, whatever, am I right?" adds local hydrologist Candice "Candy" Byut. "And here you are, so, like, it all worked out, 'kay?"

"It kinda feels like we're at the very end of what the Northern Research and Recovery Corp can accomplish," says Expedition Publicist Gary Weyoun. "I mean, it's one things to be trekking across vast tracts of lost wilderness. It's another to have spent the last three months on a beach drinking smoothies while the local mayor reads you his slam poetry."

The fate of the NR&RC will most likely be discussed in the government's upcoming session. Until then, there is little to do in Bobien except peruse books in the local alternative medicine bookshop and see what's on the menu at the new vegan cafeteria that opened down the street.-R

Minister of Defence Silodo Kirg has announced the complete liberation of the Commonwealth of Ibex and the islands across Hollowsville from their Void occupying forces earlier this morning in a speech that took place in Porto Amarillo, the capital city of the Viceroyalty of Vera Crux in Meridia.

“Nos enorgullece anunciar que el territorio del Íbex Frezko ha sido liberado en su totalidad gracias al esfuerzo en conjunto de las F.D.D.M. y de las Fuerzas Armadas de la Corona, quienes seguirán luchando por la libertad de los habitantes de Meridia ante estos insurgentes que continúan atentando contra la vida de los cervidios e ibexianos en Nueva Nordgardía del Sur desde 1964.”

The newly recovered territories will be incorporated to the Captaincy General of Ibeccia, formerly known as Captaincy General of Nord Ibeccia for the time being. This will also result in the abolishment of the Captaincy General of La Puerta, which will also see its territories added to Ibeccia.

Later that day, a conference held in the city of Maasdam, which was attended by the Chief Councillor of Cervidia and the Governor of Aust-Larentia, an independent but unrecognized state located in subpolar Meridia, and a result of the numerous power exchanges in the continent in these past decades, concluded with the proclamation of His Royal Majesty the King of Frezko as the new reigning sovereign of the eastern Larentian territory in the Treaty of Larenta.

The news come after the king’s personal approval of the Letter of Admission for the Aust-Larentian Territories (a traditional document sent by territories seeking accession to Frezko), which followed a popular vote in favour of restoring Frizch control in the area after more than a hundred years since its declaration of independence. In the years following, the territory has formed part of the Commonwealth of Amarion, the Acadian Mandate of the Meridian Security Zone and the Empire of Sanshoku.

The Canton of Aust-Larentia will keep its Governor for its local matters, and will provisionally respond to the Royal and Supreme Council of Cervidia, with its headquarters in the city of Porto Amarillo. The council will be receiving two new Larentian-born councillors for the time being.

The accession of Aust-Larentia is rumoured to bring several modifications to the system of administrative division currently in use by the Union, to be announced in the following weeks.

Thompson and Kovalsk Prepare for the Caesar
It won't be long now until Ministers Thompson and Kovalsk are expected to travel to Nova Roma to discuss the Leximus and Igla questions. Last month referendums in both areas have thrown the question of sovereignty in regards to these areas into flux. Some members of the Empiro party have been insisting that the Leximus referendum wasn't binding and should not be heeded while Bandoans have already taken to preparing to integrate the Igla Archipelago into the province. A few Natufian refugees have contacted the Sentinel in lieu of being able to get in touch with the Executive Council directly. They've issued warnings to not send any Jiqazis to the Roman capital at this time. It is yet to be seen whether these warnings will be taken seriously.

Assistance Requested
Following the fall of the Oceani Empire, several nations worldwide have taken to either claiming Oceanion territory or supporting various sides in what would appear to be a possible civil war, not unlike what is being seen in the Natufian Nation. The Executive Council was yet to make an official ruling on whether they would bring Jiqaz into such a situation as Frezko has with Free Wnescia or Rome have with The Oceanic Autokracy. However, it is expected that they will take a meeting with a delegation from a democratic faction in the northeast of Valtameri, referring to itself as the Valtamir Republiq. We at the Sentinel will keep readers in touch as this story develops.

An Invitation Extended
As Natufian refugees continue to declare omens of doom should any member of the Executive Council step foot into Nova Roma, Minister Jeffrey Thompson has official sent Gemellus Caesar of Rome an invitation to the city of Lexim. As pro-Jiqazi Leximans continue relocating to other Jiqazi territory, it is estimated that up to 93% of the current population of the island is in favor of Roman rule. It is hoped that the symbolic gesture of having the expected treaty being signed in Leximus will be enough to Caesar to the new meeting place. Minister Kovalsk has stated in a recent speech that "While Jiqazi Intelligence is yet to find any reason why Nova Roma is being viewed as inhospitable or dangerous in regards to this meeting, the concern of the Natufian community of the country is being taken seriously, and, Gemellus Caesar willing, we will be holding said meeting in a location that should ease the collective worry being brought up."

Vilhel Republiq Gains Free Association
Following the recent meeting between a delegation from Vilhel Republiq, also to be known as Vilhelmia, the Executive Council has announced that they will be extending an offer of Free Association to the territory, an offer that is almost certainly going to be accepted. The new Vilhel Republiq encompasses territory mostly of the Oceani regions of North Vilhelmia and South Vilhelmia, which had fallen under Oceani control following the fall of Asgareth. The delegation announced the don't plan on fighting other post-Oceani states in Valtameri, wishing instead to simply be given the right to exist the same as the others. The agreement states that while Vilhel Republiq will be officially independent, Jiqazi will have free travel to the area and vice virsa, as well as Jiqaz assisting in finances and defense.

Members of the Northern Research & Recovery Corp Bemoan Lack of Life Threatening Peril

The view from the Corps lodgings in Rodth Kangket disappoints with its lack of any hint of bleached hellscapes.

KUNGTHEP—The sun rises over the split level post-moderne bungalow that serves as the Northern Research & Recovery Corp's current headquarters. The team comes awake as the sounds of the ocean drift over them, pulling them from dreams and from beneath their silk sheets, awaking them to the immaculately prepared breakfast featuring three types of bacon, omelettes sustainably sourced from free-range chickens and made with cheeses from across the world. Their complimentary robes—encompassing wool from a heritage breed of sheep and cotton from heirloom cotton species—jostle slightly in the warm ocean breezes as they make their way out onto the veranda and are offered a selection of coffees and teas.

"I don't think I can take much more of this," sighs biologist Carol Hyug as she watches a pod of dolphins dance through the azure waters. "I'm going nuts."

The territory of Rodth Kagket has begun being restored to the Republic. Famed before the Bad Day as a land of vineyards and breathtaking beauty, the peninsula seems to have weathered the period without federal interaction without much difficulty. "I asked some of the citizens of Phiabac about what life was like here after the Bad Day, and if they experienced anything like what we went through in the south," states cartographer Yue Williams. "The consensus was that the worst thing was that there were a couple of days and a row where the power went out, but that was cool because the sushi bars and artisan ice cream parlors had deep discounts to move their stock before it went bad."

The mood among members of the corp is most charitably described as being "eager to get back to the real work of exploration and discovery" and perhaps most accurately described as "whiny." The corp members gather in small groups and remark about how the handcrafted furniture of their bungalow compares with sleeping on the ground as wild animals prowl around the edges of campfires. One member even set up his tent in his bedroom. "I'm not built for this," says acoustic pathologist Ramon Phon. "The most challenging thing I've had to deal with since we got here was having to preside over a flag raising ceremony where we lifted the Green & Gold Banner over the city hall. The biggest threat I faced there was when the citizens asked if the lanyard was made of recyclable hemp-based fibers. I really want to go back to being in mortal danger as soon as possible."

He's unlikely to get his wish any time soon, as the rest of the peninsula and the islands to the north remain civilized and notably free of significant dangers... at least not any that the early morning public tai chi lessons in the park won't solve.-R

Preparations Continue in Lexim
While yet to receive word from Roman Imperator Gemellus Caesar, Ministers Thompson and Kovalsk have received a surprisingly warm welcome in the city of Lexim. Both ministers are in the city ready to either hop on a plane to Nova Roma should Caesar refuse to come to the island of Leximus or welcome the Roman leader to the largest city on the island. Kovalsk was seen being approached by some men he appeared to know, who assumedly harbored pro-Roman sentiments. They were overheard thanking 'a classmate' for his willingness to find a suitable compromise. The Sentinel quotes Kovalsk as saying after the meeting with peers, "I'll admit, I wasn't expecting such a response from my return to my hometown, but it feels nice, and it'll feel unusual to return to my new home in Lexim D'Axri when things are said in done here."
Lexim D'Axri is a growing city in Axrio, near the border with Imia, that has sprung up as the pro-Jiqaz population of Leximus continues to relocate to the Jiqazi Mainland. Based on recent polls on the island, it is assumed that less than 4% of the island's current populous would've voted no in the November referendum, and that number is expected to continue to decrease as the relocations continue.

Thompson and Kovalsk are staying at Hotel Asgra, where the ballroom is being outfitted with what could be best described as a replication of Caesar's throne room in an attempt to appeal to his famed ego.

Leximus League Disbands, Lexim United Relocates
With the expectation that Leximus will soon leave the Jiqazi Union, the Jiqazi Football League, JFL, has announced that they will suspend operations of the Leximus League, one of three Leagues that make up the fourth tier of Jiqazi football. Most teams currently playing in the Leximus League are expected to join Roman professional Leagues. However, Lexim United, recently bought by a group from Zriki, has announced they will relocate to the Jiqazi mainland, making it the only professional sports team so far to make the move so many others are. They will set up shop in Maomi, about 15 miles east of Lexim D'Axri, until a suitable stadium is set up in the city. The ownership group has also announced the team's new name, D'Axri Town FC.

Vilhelmia Expands
With the support of newly arrived Jiqazi forces, Vilhelmian diplomats have traveled to other areas left in the north of Valtameri with an invitation to join Vilhelmia. A few settlements both in the former province of North Vilhelmia and near the border with the Rome-backed Oceanic Autarkracy have both officially accepted said offer, although most of the areas in the north of Valtameri are assumed to join eventually.

The Ministry of State announced today that the Alliance fleet has secured all ports and lands on Ile Principale, in anticipation of the eventual reuniting of the City of Gaspé with the nation.

"The few remaining outposts on the island, including Mercoté Beach on the South Coast and Jolicoeur on the north coast, have been secured by Alliance naval forces. The populace, which has long suffered form a lack of trade opportunities and civil order, responded with jubilation as spontaneous street celebrations erupted in both locations."

In addition, the Ministry confirmed securing the Cedar Islands, a chain of islets that gives the Alliance "360 degree security" in the Acadian Sea. The islands formerly were incorporated in the Sqoán Kingdom of Scow Creek, which united with the Royaume in its most expansive days. One Council source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, suggested that future operations in Scow Creek Proper were being anticipated.

Notably, the Ministry refused to answer questions concerning the status of Gaspé, except to see that "negotiations are underway and we are optimistic."

In the early hours of today’s morning, the Free Wnes provisional head of state, President Anthonij Tintero, announced the admission of new provinces formed from territories in the Douglas and New Gloucester peninsulas to the Union.

“¡Ciudadanos! Hemos recuperado piezas de nuestra verdadera historia. Las provincias de Douglas y Wnescia Occidental al sur, y la peninsula de Nueva Glouchester al norte, han decidido por sus propios medios unirse a nuestra campaña de liberación contra el corrupto triunvirato que todavía no se da por vencido en el interior del continente. Les deseamos buena suerte a todos aquellos que continúan creyendo en un futuro pacífico y transparente en sitios como Nueva Caelston y Tuquia Oriental”

Without an expansive invasion by any well-established Free Wnescian forces, these new territories were succesfully liberated from their weakened Imperial control by their own populations. Other territories' attempts at doing the same have proved unsuccessful so far.

The situation across the different cities is practically the same: damaged and burning military vehicles in the streets, and vandalized statues of notable imperial loyalist figures, such as that of generals Friedrich Yolvo and Oscar Bukharin, Autarch Olixander Bermo, Commander Edwin Kolakny and Lea Stark.

The infamous mural of Alexander Sieger navigating the Polarion Canal, located across the Oceani Engineering and Manufacturing Society’s headquarters in Puerto Douglas has been completely covered in green paint.

The last remaining ethnically-Oceani territories in continental Valmateri are now considered Free Wnescian territory as of this afternoon, official sources say.

“Tenemos el agrado de informar sobre la reciente adquisición de territorios tanto al norte como al oeste de nuestra ubicación actual. Se han unido a nuestra gran nación las antiguas regiones geográficas de Elizabeth, Ksarka, Kolakny y Mouwzall, las cuales han pertenecido tanto politica como culturalmente a nuestro país desde tiempos inmemoriables. De estos nuevos territorios se han creado 8 nuevas provincias, y se han extendido los territorios de otras 3 provincias ya existentes: Wnescia, Wnescia del Norte y Ša.”, said an official spokesman.

Elizabeth, Ksarka, Kolakny and Mouwzall have now been integrated into Free Wnescia.
The news come just about nine hours following the withdrawal of imperial troops from these areas, following their several unsuccessful attempts at regaining control of southern Valtameri.

The province of Kolakny, named after controversial Imperial Commander Edwin Kolakny has had its name changed to Miles, a name derived from a previous nation that existed in its territory, the Miles Federation.

According to Free Wnescian leader, Anthonij Tintero, the government is not going to approve any kind of futher territorial expansion, as it considers one of its main objectives to be “complete”.

Regarding the government's decision to halt its territorial growth, Tintero had this to say:

“[...] As for the rest of Valtameri, we are hoping to see brand new nations being formed from the previous imperial territories, after their eventual liberation from the Triumvirate’s claw.
This does not mean, however, that a new and united Valtamerian nation won’t ever be considered and be able to exist in the future. As all of us know, several non-Oceani populations such as Caelstonians, Eastern Tuks, Isthmians, Vilhemians and the surviving Yolkians, have become our brothers in this continent over these many years of imperial control, and we would gladly welcome them into our nation again with open arms some day. But this time, it will be them who will make the decision to join us, instead of a blood-thirsty savage.”

Leximese Patience Begins to Thin
The mood at Hotel Asgra echoes the mood across Leximus, tense. Ministers Thompson and Kovalsk have had to return to the mainland to attend to their other responsibilities, with the Jiqazi Governor of Leximus, Eugene Fulmer, being joined by Bandoan Vice Governor Reina Mystill, as the new heads of the delegation. It has been suggested that they will abandon the plan to bring Caesar to Leximus. Riots are even starting to break out as Leximus continues to wait for an official treaty to end the dispute. A plane remains ready to take the delegation to Nova Roma if and when said decision is made.

Leximus Pro-Romanization, Explained
Many Sentinel readers will harken back to when Leximus first joined Jiqaz, and ask themselves how we got where we are. We will remind readers that the original referendum that convinced the Executive Council to admit Leximus to Jiqaz saw a split of 58% voting to join Jiqaz, 31% voting to join Oceanion, and 11% voting for independence. It can be assumed that some proportion of the voters would've voted to join Rome had the option been offered, but that doesn't seem to explain the vast shift. Political Analyst Michael Thoth has proposed an explanation. He suggests that the pro-Oceani voters could prefer the Roman manner of government to the Jiqazi system, with independence voters also possibly choosing the option that most closely resembled the previous Asgar system. With Esgareth being officially recognized as a Rome-influenced state, it could be suggested that said independence voters now view Rome as that option. As for dwindling Jiqazi support, he offers two factors, those being the obvious and well-documented relocation of many pro-Jiqazi supporters to the mainland and the theorized Rome-supported immigration to the island so as to influence pro-Roman sentiment. While there is no official recognition to this second factor, many assume it to be true.

Flags Of Jiqaz: Leximus



Welcome to a new ongoing segment, in which we review the many flags of Jiqaz. First on the slate is Leximus.
The Leximus flag features a Tricolor of red, yellow and orange bands, with said bands being seperated by thin white stripes. The flag also features a yellow triangle on the hoist side with a black star in the center. The meanings behind the colors can be debated, but it clearly is inspired by the Asgareth flag, which features a nordic cross, rather that the Jiqazi design, and a pair of black swords crossed over the intersection.

Welcome to Dalexim
Recent reports suggest Dalexim, the twin-city made up of Dalexa, Imia and Lexim D'Axri, Axrio, is the fastest growing city in Jiqaz. This mostly is accounted for because of the Leximese relocation to the area, but it is none the less impressive. With the recent opening of Liao Stadium to the north of Lexim D'Axri, the home of D'Axri Town FC, it is clear that the city is going to be a major player as Jiqaz moves forward.

Vilhelmia Welcomes Khora
Khora, a peninsular ex-province of Oceanion, has recently been admitted to Vilhelmia. It is assumed that the former province of Inca will be next, but as for now, Vilhelmian consolidation of northern Valtameri appears to be going well.

The Grapes (and Almonds, and Citrus Fruits, and Olives, etc.) of Wrath

Commuters in the newly reclaimed territory make their way into work on Monday morning. A lack of basic roadway infrastructure following years of exploitative imperialistic rule is compounded by the lack of a basic tax system, brief tyrannical rule by short-lived dictatorial states, roving bands of murderous road warriors, and a lack of healthy options at the vending machines in the roadside rest stops.

KUNGTHEP—Previous reports of the territories to the north which are being re-incorporated into the Foundhome Republic lacking in any excitement or dangers to life and limb appear to have been premature on the part of the Foundhome National Register &Crazy Coupon Clipper Courier. "This is great!" states Northern Research & Recovery Corp acoustic pathologist Ramon Phon as he fights off a pack of rabid, mutated bandits. "I was worried that we were just going to spend the last days of the expedition sipping kale smoothies on beaches! Maybe I can still finish up the expedition by dying gloriously for the Republic after all!" He muses on the conditions in the territory as he swings his blaseball bat at the incoming leather-clad scavengers. Some of the hard-working population of the newly restored territory gather at a local diner before beginning their long and productive day at the areas rich farms, orchards, vineyards, and gladiatorial fighting pits.

Once one comes away from the desert, the newly restored territories are in fact tropical and then Mediterranean in climate. Despite first appearances, the area is home to great number of productive agricultural regions. Olives, citrus groves with leafless trees awaiting the spring, tree-nut trees of all varieties, figs, apricots, dates, and many more fruits, vegetables, and food stuffs too numerous to mention can all be found in the new—and rather exciting—territory. "The Foundhome Republic already has the greatest food variety in the Fifth Sovereign Charter," says theoretical botanist Akamu Redfield as a group of locals strap him to the hood of their vehicle, "but the agricultural output of this territory adds an even more diverse compliment to our national diet, that is if we can develop the infrastructure to utilize it. These fine folks are taking me on a tour of nearby plantations to do an even more in-depth study."

"Oy, mate, you're gonna want this!" screeches Finley "Rat Blood" Xavavong as he wraps a urine soaked bandana around Redfields face. "Some of the clay out there still a bit toxic, aya! I've been hopin' that the FHR would get here quick. Kaw! I've been bitin' at the chance to get my new avocado crop goin', but the lands been all got to [redacted] since before Myraxia ran the show. I can't wait to purchase a new lot of trees to plant and beginning a comprehensive irrigation study, especially one which will allow for minimum environmental interference. Kaw! How many bloated hell-hound carcasses does a apricot tree go for down south anyways, eh?" he says, climbing into the scavenged cab of his vehicle. In cloud of smoke they are off, Redfield firmly affixed to the hood. The group seems full of energy and enthusiasm as they speed off into the distance.

Beatrice "Bullet-Hell Betty" Inthavong waits for traffic to pass in the largest city in the territory before crossing the street to her law firm.

"It's been a long time coming," says lawyer Beatrice "Bullet Hell Betty" Inthavong, "what took you so long to get here? The Bad Day was... gosh, how long ago? The south pulled itself together over a year ago, and we've been waiting for you to come back and re-establish contact with us since when? I mean we've had to suffer under despotic nation states exploiting us and the land. Places like Amirak, which fortunately didn't last long. They called themselves a "Psychotic Dictatorship." Like, that's what they advertised themselves as... who does that? What's the matter, you southerners too good to cobble together combat vehicles from classic car bodies and off-road expedition truck chassis, strap automatic weapons to it, and blare heavy metal from oversize speakers as your friends hang off the side whooping war chants like the rest of us to come say hello?"

Upon being informed that other territories that have been recovered by the Republic have not fallen into such a state, and in fact have maintained a high standard of living, her response was best described as, "What's the fun in that?"

"I will miss some of the aspects of life in the wild territory once things get put straight by the government," she states. "Not things like human slavery, enforced gladiatorial combat, or mandated minimum leather fetish gear per square foot—okay maybe the leather—but I will miss fighting strangers to the death for scarce resources. I mean, not like all the time fighting, like, sure... if I was late for work it was a real hassle to have to bust into someones compound and steal their fuel, but it's become something of a tradition. I guess that life under a free and open representative government focused on spreading democracy and opportunity again will just be different, I guess." She then turned and stared off into the distance, sighing wistfully as flames leap from a nearby improvised moonshine/fuel distillery.

Despite the lack of a centralized economy, local businesses such as agricultural cooperatives, fertilizer plants, shipping companies, and heavy weapons and small arms smugglers have prospered in the territory. Here, local store owner Desmond "Bomber" Vaxavoy discusses the sale of "agricultural" artillery to a return customer.

The local economy has long since been turned from large concerns to nationalist and imperial exploitation by whatever power was running the region at the time. The issues facing the territory are unlike any that have been encountered by the Northern Research & Recovery Corp. Basic infrastructure was turned to face north, out towards the ocean and towards the homes of the imperial powers that were ruling the territory at the time. Entire railway mainlines have been abandoned, with whatever track wasn't taken and hastily re-laid to bring the agricultural produce from the farms to the ports being taken by locals to built their ramshackle fortresses. The highways have all decayed to the point where many miles of it simply is used to tan leather products.

The educational system has also suffered. "Hey, we have schools!" says local entrepreneur Desmond "Bomber" Vaxavoy, motioning to a clump of twisted steel and scrap lumber where feral children roll around grunting in the dust. "Most kids can read. How else do you expect them to read the labels on the ammunition cases? We even graduate a great lot of kids out of High School each year," he adds, pointing to an even larger clump of twisted metal and scrap wood where feral teenagers roll around grunting in the dust, "though most kids will either get a degree in metal shop or leather working. Ain't easy to affix the body from a 56' coupe onto the treads from a tank, ya know! That takes a real bit of thinkin'!"

"Mmm Mhhghhmm mmemmrrgghh mem mhhhhh, mrrhmm," says Regional Governor Ulani "Gorefeaster" Thompson of the challenges, and opportunities, of reunifying his territory with the national government of the Foundhome Republic, "mhhrr, muhhr, memmemmher." Moments after this image was taken Thompson defeated and then tore out the liver of an armed attacker who disagreed with a zoning ordinance.

Whatever comes next for the territory, it is certain that the hale and hearty people of the region will play a crucial part in the growth and reconstitution of the Republic and its borders. It is up to the Republic to show the region, and the world, that a representative democracy can handle such challenges. We simply suggest that we all get a tetanus shot first.—R

Eastern Cervidas now part of Vera Crux

The eastern shores and mountain ranges of Cervidas, in South New Nordgard, have now been reunited with the rest of the Kingdom of Vera Crux, as joint Frizch-Veracruxean forces have taken control of the cities of Barren and Hollowsville, two of the oldest cities in what was the Commonwealth of Cervidas. Following this operation, the territory of Vera Crux has been declared as "liberated in its entirety", and military activity in the affected areas has come to a stop.

"We are honoured to announce the successful liberation of the Cervidian territories west of the White Passage and south of Concordia, including the Barrò Mountain Range and most of the former Duchy of Montpellier. This means the provinces of Cervidia Occidentale and Roe are now finally connected by land, creating one continuous nation from the city of La Fuente to the city of Ibex"

Last month, almost one full year after the territories were incorporated into the Crown of Frezko, the Viceroyalty of Vera Crux had its status elevated to that of a Kingdom within the greater Crown of Frezko. The viceroyalty was established following the attacks on multiple Commonwealth cities on March 6, 2021.

As per the terms of the Treaty of Porto Amarillo (Acuerdo con la Corona de Frezko para la pronta devolución del poder constitucional en Cervidas e Íbex), the citizens of the Kingdom of Vera Crux will be presented with a referendum for self-determination, which according to Supreme Councillor of Cervidas Vicente Domínguez's thoughts, might not be as far away as some people think. After all, most of the Cervidian areas previously captured by Void sympathizers have been recovered by the SDF and the Frizch Armed Forces (with the exception of areas that have since been conquered by other nations).

In the mean time, the White Passage Unity Day celebrations for the Kingdom of Vera Crux's anniversary will take place in most cities on the sixth of March.

As a result of these events, the Kingdom of Vera Crux now has six more provinces. They've all been organized under the Royal and Supreme Council of Cervidas, which due to the new territorial expansion will be adding more councillors to its ranks in the following days.

Geographically, these provinces have all been incorporated into the Region of Cervidia.

- Province of Cantabria
- Province of East Cervidas (Cervidia Orientale)
- Province of Monpegliere
- Province of Pontevedra, which contains the City of Pontevedra: the most populated coastal city on the White Passage.

How Not to Be Seen
The Foundhome Republic's most decorated military analysts "a bit sheepish" after gushing about a new naval stealth technology that doesn't actually exist.

KUNGTHEP—Some of the most brilliant minds in the military intelligence community totally and utterly blew it last week when the editors and senior contributors to Engaging Engineers magazine began gushing about the "amazing new naval technology being employed the the Foundhomian Navy in the island territories that have recently been re-discovered and reunited with the Republic by the Northern Research & Recovery Corp."

The highly regarded magazine had a very detailed and lengthy discussion about a series of images that had been presented to it as declassified naval maneuvers in the sea which sits to the north of the Republic. The writers, which included a cross section of the creme-de-Le-creme of the Foundhome Republic's civilian military analytics and defense analysts, seemed a bit more enthusiastic than was warranted. The conclusion that these learned professionals drew from the images was that the Foundhome Republic Naval Service had developed an amazing new stealth technology.

This is not the Blue Squadron of the Republic's new Chimsonca-class Littoral Combat Frigates conducting close-shore evasion drills among some of the islands of the newly re-acquired territory.

"Our first guess was that the navy was using some sort of high-fidelity holographic projection system," says Engaging Engineers Senior Editor Ryan Rungrueang. "But that got shot down pretty quickly when it was noted that the technology hasn't even gotten to the point where it's good enough for those weird video games that no one can figure out in the arcades. You know the ones—the ones where you stare through the bubble thing and it projects it on the bubble—yeah, that one. I think it had a cowboy or something. Anywho, it's not good enough for even home theaters yet, so they probably weren't hiding an aircraft carrier with it. Best guess."

"The next idea we came up with was that the navy was somehow using an combination LED array," states Tu Benhoven, "one that was truly huge in scale." She then proceeded to take out a novelty LED wand, the type that you wave at sporting events. "Using a chromium filtrate vector compensate, it is theoretically possible to have an interwoven strand of LED lights that adjust instantaneously with the surrounding environment, allowing the ship to pass unseen at great distances. Except of course that it would weight more than the ship itself. It would also make using any weapons impossible, as it would block their launchers and barrels. It also wouldn't hide the ship's wake. It would also cost more than the ship. That and I also just made up the term chromium filtrate vector compensate. These bozo's didn't even notice. How do you like that?"

She then waved her novelty LED wand through the air. It turned out to be programmed to play Happy Birthday while shining "Happy 43rd Birthday Davdi!" It is assumed that the misspelling was an error.

Another analyst, Hieu Youngman, suggested that the navy was employing a team of really, really, really, really, really, really, really fast painters to paint the ships as they traveled. He was pelted with rocks and garbage for this suggestion and drummed out of his profession.

The F.R.S. Bokor—a cruiser of the Chongbok class and flagship of the cruiser division of the northern fleet—is not silhouetting its graceful lines against the bungalows of this seaside paradise.

"We were quite stumped," says Rungrueang, "and couldn't figure out for the life of us how the navy was accomplishing this."

Answers finally came when the navy sent a second set of pictures, one purporting to show off the details of the new naval uniforms that were going to be deployed along with the new northern fleet assets. They were not quite what was anticipated.

The source of the discrepancy has yet to be discovered, though it is interesting to note that the publishing house which prints both magazines has currently listed a large number of immediately available positions in its mail room.

Of further note, following a recent pictorial in the aforementioned Excursions & Recreation magazine, the navy has announced it has a new line of funding, as calls for reservations for cruises aboard its warships in the newly re-united territories have been nearly constant since the edition hit the magazine racks. —R

Crown of Frezko steps in to rebuild the Kingdom of Caelstonia

Caelstonia, an unrecognized nation in East Meridia, is now considered Frizch territory following a speech made by Orazio Moretti at the Plaza de las Cabras, in the city of Bacocco, earlier this morning.

The earliest Sovereign Charter member to inhabit the area was the Empire of Sanshoku, a japanese-speaking nation that had been in constant internal conflict since the 12th century, but that finally managed to properly present itself to the rest of the world following the televised assassination of Emperor Hojo at the hands of his successor, Emperor Kiyoshi. Frezko was the first nation to recognize Sanshoku’s sovereignty, in part due to King Kovro’s already well-established personal relationship with the Miura Clan, which he frequently visited in the city of Sugiyama, located at the heart of the Sanshokuan Mountain Range.

The nation eventually collapsed, and its territories were eventually divided and integrated into the Kingdom of Amarion and the Freehold of Caelston, the latter of which is the originator of the multiple geographical areas around the world known as either Caelston or Caelion in Meridia and Valtameri.

Both of those states have also fallen in the last few years.

After decades of uncertainty and growing tensions amongst the very diverse populations of eastern Meridia, it has been decided by the “Provisional Renoveeritud Council” last December that the Marquessate of Caelstonia, a polity that existed in the area centuries ago, will be created ex novo, and the House of Calandria has been chosen as its ruling house.

The Kingdom, a melting pot of Japanese, Estonian and Ibexian cultures, has already elected Supreme Councillor Erika Maa'Laiendamine, a well-known politician and former teacher born in the city of Jõelähtme, Voivodeship of Liefland.

A Frizch spokesperson has affirmed that, unless an extraordinary event was to occur, the Frizch Crown will not be actively looking to expand its territory past its current limits any further.

Following the collapse of the Empire of Aexorouwyth due to plague and various attacks from our fellow brothers and sisters, the tribes had the opportunity to unite and form a greater nation.
