Farrah turned the corner and found Nura talking to Scipio. “ Nura, I wanted you to know I do not love Sajid. I barely know him and I am not really sure if I am ready for that type of relationship. My parents and I agreed I should wait until college or so. Besides I have someone back home I think could be a potential partner. Don’t ask how I know your feelings for Sajid. Call it a prompting. I saw how disappointed you looked.” Farrah explained.

“Well, regardless of whether you like him or not, he likes you. The Sajid ship has sailed.”

Nura sighed. “I guess, military aid? I’m not really qualified to speak on military matters any more. My uncle Mahmud is, and so is my sister, Soraya. They’re around here somewhere.”

"The school that he is going to. I mean, you'll probably see her in diplomatic meeting. But he is probably going to have to stay in Vertero school. He only came here for a while. So did Carlos and Sophia. A lot of the teens and kids here go there. There are already many people going there. And I can put in a good word for you."

Farrah decided to return back to her parents. She didn’t really care for Sajid. She had met someone back home in Mosarat. He was in her classes and they got along. He was very smart. Someone her parents would like. Either way it wasn’t that serious. She had heard Nura’s conversation. What would life be like when she left the palace. Her sister Fawzia had married and gave birth not long ago. Gamal would be married soon. She thought she could live in Anastasia or further south towards Rudan. She had ancestral ties to that country. Or she could live in another band of time. This band of time. Farrah’s world was far different from this. She noticed compared to her world, this world had progressed differently. Gaia and Mosarat was practically stuck in the 1950s aesthetically. She noticed that compared to most Muslims here she wore clothes that follow tradition than the clothes that she wore. She had learned that Mosarat and other Islam majority countries had followed a westernization policy. How would someone like her live in a world like this? She eventually returned to meet with her parents.

“Listen. I’ve only known you a short time, but you’ve already proven yourself to be a true friend. Here. I want you to have this.” She handed her her sheathed dagger. “I promised Uncle Mustafa I’d never let it out of my sight. However, I’ve decided to give it to you. You deserve it. If you’re ever in danger, this will help you. I also have one more gift, if you’ll accept.”
