Announced during Vha Mehlodhivestoile Euvenoures 2020, this is the new logo for the upcoming 6th edition of Vha Mehlodhivestoile...

Image

During the show, the host announced the format changes to Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2021...

"The rules of the 6th Vha Mehlodhivestoile will go as follows. There will be three semi-finals, similar to the past three years of the competition. Due to the current situation, it has been announced that each of the arenas will not be at full capacity - half capacity or a maximum of 6,000 people though this might change closer to the date. The first Semi-Final will happen on Saturday 20th March, with the Grand Final happening on 24th April 2021. There will be a total of 28 songs competing. Each Semi-Final will consist of 8 artists - the same as the past five years and the voting for the Semi-Finals will consist of 25% Britonish Televote, 25% Britonish Jury and 50% International Televote. A total of 8 nations will be allowed to vote in each Semi-Final to ensure that each Semi-Final has similar numbers voting in each, with the 2020 edition seeing all Semi-Finals all having the same amount of points being given out. Nations will give out [12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 4, 2, 0] to give a total of 50 points. This allows the producers to directly compare the results of each Semi-Final. There will be 5 battles of 2 artists, with 6/10 of the artists coming directly from the Semi-Finals. 2/10 of these artists will consist of 2 International Jury lifeline act (two acts that International Jurors believe should come back if they were given the chance) which will be moderated by the Britonish Jury in the Battle Stage. This will be announced shortly after the 3rd Semi-Final. There will be four other jurors in the Battle Stage, which will be announced very soon (nations are being contacted this week if VM2021 are interesting in using them for the Battle Stage next year). The other two remaining acts will come directly from the selection process. Last year's third place, Tobias will qualify to the Grand Final as per tradition thus 28 competing acts. 12 acts will make it to the Grand Final.International Votes can either be televote OR jury vote with BVC encouraging televote if the nation wants to get involved. They will provide a score between 1-10 of the 12 competing finalists. International Jury scores will be capped between 30 and between 80 and 100 - this is subject to change. This will be then edited to match the Britonish Televote will make up 50% of the vote. There will be 12 Britonish Televote areas - the same as last year. Britonish televote areas will vote as normal, giving 12 points to their favourite, then 10, 8 all the way down to 1. The winner therefore can receive a maximum of 144 points in the Britonish votes. Based on research, it is likely that the International votes will be similar to that of the Britonish votes.

This is set to be an exciting addition to Vha Mehlodhivestoile and we cannot wait to get started. What we can reveal is...International Submissions will open on Friday 27th November for just under two months! International Submissions can be added in either the main selection or receive a pass to the Battle Stage. You don't have long prospective International singer and songwriters! We will let you know soon after the 17th of January whether you're accepted. If you receive a GREEN code, it means your song and artist has been selected, whereas ORANGE means that only the singer has."

Axuva Today Network [ATN] Today we announce that the Axuvian Government now recognizes The Russian Language as an Official Language, Korean and English were spoken in the beginning, but there were Russians too, russians were forgotten and their language were not recognized due to the things they did in the past, but now their language is a official language of Axuva, and there will now be 3 official languages instead of two.

Confirmed Nightom.

Sign-ups for the 8th Junior World Hit Festival are now closed. I can confirm that 27 nations have provisionally signed up for the upcoming Junior World Hit Festival which I believe is the most sign ups we've had since I've been overseer so that's exciting, isn't it?! Technically, if everyone participates there could be Semi-Finals! But lol I doubt that would be happening.

I hope we break the record for largest JWHF - 17 nations.

After a long night at the Ddraig Theatre, the area which will be transformed into the Green Room for the live show, all 19 acts were delegated their respective half by a luck of the draw, with 4 acts (and the host) also drawing their position. Afterwards, NTV's producers gathered and debated on how to organise the remaining acts. The debate was a long, harsh and fiery one but eventually the showrunners settled on one list.

Here's the televote form!

Postby Britonisea » Mon Dec 07, 2020 6:00 pm

When the sign-ups open, which will probably be announced below by Natanya, the televote form for the 8th Junior World Hit Festival will also open. The Televote has been around since the 6th Junior World Hit Festival, which was maybe a year and a few months ago and it's back once again! As with each edition there have been some improvements to the televote approved by the host, of course;

This time, you have to vote for five nations! I thought that it makes more sense to vote for five nations rather than four because in the Jury, you give points to five. These points aren't exactly equal to those that are given in the Jury, except for your televote favourite that received points in the Jury (aka the first televote page - your first answer).

You now have the choice of a wildcard vote at the end. So while the first four nations are the usual JWHF televoting standard (two nations you voted for in the Jury and two outside), the wildcard choice is any nation except for the nation you're voting as! This means you can give your wildcard vote to another nation in your Jury's top 5, someone else who didn't receive any Jury/Televote points from you, you could decide to give it to a secondary nation you participated with that you feel deserves some love, or you could give it to someone you've already voted for in the Televote form because you just looooved their entry so much!

If you need more clarification on how to vote, just let me know below or on Discord. If you've voted wrong, we will be swift in letting you know what the issue is.

Edit: Finally, You must vote in the Jury vote before you vote in the Televote. The host will let me know whether you've voted or not before I accept your televotes.

While I still have some work to do on the IC thread, it is all extra cosmetic stuff like the opening acts and postcards, so due to this I am happy to announce that the lines are official now open for voting! To vote please first either TG me or DM me on Discord (Winter#2945). To make things easier, I will provide a form that you can just copy and paste, or you can just send the information yourself directly. Due to the way I am presenting my voting, there is also a final little bit of RP information I may also need from you, these being 3 "fun facts". Preferably these facts will be 1 about your spokesperson, 1 about your nation in the contest/you nation's music and 1 about your nation in general, however I fine with allowing some creative liberties with these, as long as the facts vary from each other. While not mandatory, if they're left blank that would mean I will have to come up with them myself, so may not be as interesting. After you have sent your Jury vote, you can go on the Google Docs form and send in your Televote. Make sure to read Britonisea's post about it as there has been a slight change to the format.

Voting will close on the Tuesday, 15th December at 11:30 pm, GMT

This may not be completely related to JWHF8, but at this point, I'm not even sure if there've been delays in the host selection for WHF56 that've prevented the WHF56 OOC thread from going up on schedule  ...

Hi rhim....

Sorry ill bring this over for you... the WHF overseer (Brit) said this on discord...

The orchestral edition sign ups will open on Sunday (UK time). Sorry it's been delayed, (...) cuz of the changed days of WV meant some shifting was in order.

The WVC added an extra week to signups for wv this cycle to make sure we could discuss any rule changes and to fit into a festive period to avoid as may clashes as we could.

Sorry thats lead to a bit of a delay. But not long now....

Looking at your post, I assume that Britonisea doesn't want WHF56 stuff to clash with the WV86 signup timeline, so I get it :) .

Hi there. The sign-ups for the 56th World Hit Festival were supposed to go up two weeks ago and due to a multitude of reasons, this has been pushed back. It's fine though, we will have a full edition of WHF (through JWHF) before we move onto the next, I suppose. Sign-ups will indeed open on Sunday night UK time and I'll mention that on here and the discord.

There will unfortunately still be a clash between 56th WHF and WVSC87, but we've all had enough time to perhaps start to consider what songs can be used for the upcoming orchestral edition.

Also to answer someone's point on discord earlier today, electric guitars will be allowed as part of the modern orchestra and acoustic guitars. The orchestral edition has a primary focus on orchestral instruments too, but it's more about the live music aspect - creating music in its truest form.
