Dr. Metraque, you bring up a good point. I was counting on the ant-colonialists simply being unable to do anymore as all major communist factions have already embargoed us. I truly have not thought about how a recruitment campaign would negatively affect us. This topic clearly. requires. further investigation.

I think that the best way the CUSP could survive tariffs is by having a free trade agreement among CUSP states to help with counteracting some of the effects of the tariffs put on us by relying on the goods of the mother countries and colonies to full fill the need for goods in each other's states and colonies. The Imperial Piikalan state feels that the recruitment of members and the kicking out of members states should be allowed through an election process by the member's states of the CUSP this I feel would allow for some say in keeping out any nations that are deemed undesirable.

Anywho, we shouldn't stop recruitment campaigns, we just need to redefine ourselves with them. We want to show that OUR way is better than the old way the western imperials committed to. We must shed ourselves from the image of White Man's Burden. We must show them that our colonies are not slaves, but collaborators. We already have a target audience, what's our goal? What do we want to show the world? Our ultimate goal is humanitarian.

I agree with Dr Tanner that we do need to try and help to redefine ourselves. As I for one believe that my own nation the glorious Rising Sun(The direct English translation of the word Piikala from the Piikalan language) definitely needs a rebranding especially since people associate our state with the Imperial Japanese and the atrocities they committed in Asia even though Piikala had taken over Imperial Japan and made it's territories Piikalan colonies with relatively little war crimes. Yet in the communist media, my glorious nation is framed like the villain of the east waiting to bring it's war machine to Asia and Oceania even though we're a socialist state. I shall assume that my fellow CUSP members see the same problem with their nations being associated with older colonial powers in their regions? Thus we could change this by inviting both western and eastern journalists to the CUSP nations and let them explore and learn about great nations and be able to judge them as they see fit.

These are viable strategies and I third the proposition to improve our reputation. Where should we obtain said journalists though? Wolf news is the largest news corporation and might be willing to tour CUSP. Another idea could be to offer tours of CUSP member nations so that the common person can see that we are not violating human rights.

I agree with Dr Metraque and think it's a good idea to use both tourist and journalists to improve the image of the CUSP states. I feel that the best course of action to accomplish this would be to have a marketing strategy that would entice tourist to come to our nations for recreational activities such as snowboarding, surfing, etc. Then while they're there doing these activities, we show them the real culture and nature of the CUSP states and their colonies.

Construction has started on the Citadel and we expect it to finish on schedule. As for the tourism plan, we are currently passing legislation to encourage the tourism industry. We, however are not completely perfect. Our colony of Pordia has been taken by the Joyeans. This is not a call to arm, the conflict is between us and no help is required. That being said, help would not be turned down. Another important matter of business is the establishment of a motto. Having a motto would greatly increase our citizen's resolve.

Of their two successor states, I was. able to obtain a non-aggression pact with the conservative alliance. They are a powerful alliance, but now, we are also very strong. With the collapse of CUSP, we are now comparatively more powerful than we were before.

On behalf of the Imperial government, I propose that we use the newfound power of the CUSP to be a bull work against those colonial powers and other nations that are ignoring international law and or violating the basic human rights of their citizens. This the Imperial government believes would ensure the maintenance of a good image of CUSP states in the international community's eyes. We also believe that each CUSP state should offer at least the following basic things for their citizens:
1. Access to free education for all citizens up to the two-year college level.
2. Access to potable water and nutritious food at a non-exsorbatent price.
3. Access to transportation to bring goods and or services to market.
4. Access to clothing and footwear.
5. Access to cheap and or free healthcare.

Examples include. offering tax-discounts to corporations that operate there and sell food, healthcare, and/or other supplies in struggling countries. I understand that a free college system may not be easy to do. Still, the Imperial state has done this by having the youth serve in the military they're given access to free public colleges for all citizens. Simultaneously, offering free medical education to anyone who can get legal entrance into Piikala who have passed the medical schools entrance exam in exchange for five years of work in public hospitals where they're paid well. We can afford this through the profits we gain from the Imperial Piikalan colonies and through a two hundred per cent tax on goods and services such as alcohol, processed sugars, Marijuana, Prostitution, and fried foods. We also offer free college to students abroad to serve the Piikalan government for at least ten years with reduced pay.

The Imperial State of Piikala would like to formally ask the Lacienian government to build a high-speed rail line from the Piikalan colony in Hoding to Paisacrata. The Rail line will be financed by the Piikalan Colonial Rail Company and will not cost the Lacienian government or people anything.
