The Evinar has just made the decision to pull out of the Strategic and Economic Trade Alliance (SETA).
This announcement comes to the surprise of many around the world, but to those in Odelinor it is not so much of a shock. Popular opinion was strongly against Odelinor joining SETA when its membership was first announced days ago, and polls have shown that opinion has decreased by a further 20% during Odelinor's time as a member. Besides this, SETA has entered the Insaanistan Civil War; many consider this intervention warmongering.
"People were angry when Odelinor first joined SETA." Says Ji'Moro Calio, a professor of Foreign Relations at Intaria University. "Pacifism is an essential part of Odelinoran culture, and people don't want to take sides in the Civil War. They feel like we should not be part of an organization that goes against their worldviews. The Evinar is simply going with public opinion."
Odelinor will be withdrawing all funding and diplomatic staff from SETA, including Representative Denatar. Odelinor will officially withdraw from SETA at 12:00 PM on November 14, 2020. From that moment on Odelinor will no longer be considered a member of SETA, and will discontinue its military, economic, and diplomatic obligations with the organization.
