The City

View of Gangga Beach

The film festival is held in Ubung, a city located in the northern coast of Giri Island, the largest island in Pemecutan. The city is the largest city in Pemecutan with around 776,000 citizens and more than 10,000/km², making it the most densely populated city in the country. The city is consist of 7 districts, Ubung, Mandara, Amerta Sari, Baruna, Sedana Merta, Merta Gangga and Ulun Pasih.

The city can be reach by air via Ubung-Satria International Airport which located in Pohgading, a midsize town south of Ubung. By sea, it is connected by Ubung Port, the largest port in the country. To reach the festival venues, the city are connected by bus line, tram line and subway system.

September is a changing month in Pemecutan where the season changing from dry into wet season. Strong wind is expected in the city with temperature ranging from 25°-33°C. Rain is quite rare.

Aside from screening theater, there are also other venues that are use for other events based on the festival program. Most of the venues that are use is located in Ubung Cultural Park. They are Kriya Hall and Santanu Hall which are use for exhibition. Ardha Candra Amphitheatre is use for the music night event. For seminary, Ubung Convention Center is selected.

Screening Program

The Screening Program is the main program of Ubung Film Festival in which movie entry will be screen in selected theaters for wider viewers. For this edition, there are 3 sub-program, Competitive, Non-Competitive and Memorabilia. Competitive Program is a program in which movie that enters will be eligible to compete for Golden Clamp Award and the other awards that will be represented at the end of the festival week. Non-Competitive Program is a program in which movie that enters will be screen in the festival but ineligible to compete in the awards program. Memorabilia Program is a program in which the host will screen selected past Pemecutanian movies that regarded as valuable and historical in its own senses.

In this edition, Competitive Program hold the largest entries with 15 films. While there is only 1 film that enter in Non-Competitive Program. While the organizer is selected 10 films to be screened under Memorabilia Program.

It is one of the side program in the event. During Ubung Film Festival, the organizer held several seminary which is open to public. All of the seminary subjects are about movie and film industry. For this edition, the organizer select several subjects as follows;

Workshop

Workshop is one of the side program of Ubung Film Festival. The program is held by the organizer to make a closer interaction between filmmakers and the people. There are 2 workshop programs that is held for this edition, Screenwriting Contest and Acting Coaches.

The Screenwriting Contest is held to give opportunity for common peoples and new potentials to make an original screenplay. The screenplay that being sent will be scanned, sorted and selected by the juries. The juries that selected the winner for the contest are well-known Pemecutanian screenwriters.

Acting Coaches is held to give opportunity for new potentials to get an exclusive basic acting coach from selected and well known Pemecutanian artists.

The Movie is set in 1931, during the Dunfermian civil war, with flashbacks to 1921, 1924, and 1929 (start of the war); and tells the story of short-lived Kappel Rebellion and Kappelian Most Loyal Infantry Regiment.

December 29, 1931. Many corpses of soldiers lie dead on winter battlefield, the Narrator (Shane G. Harell) pledges to tell the whole tragedy of Kappelian Regiment, and the camera is focused on dying old colonel Robert Moller (Daníel B. Fairclough) that looks with terror on his dead comrades, before closing his eyes.

1921, young cadets Bern Hopson (Dillon S. Dykstra), Topher Church (Johan D. Sexton), Brannon Lennart (Emerson E. Holland), and Ealair Losndahl (Shane G. Harell) are graduating from Ravenspire Military Academny, and celebrating in local unnamed pub, where they meet Robert Moller still being the captain. Brannon Lennart also meets lady Emely — an orphaned scion of poor noble family, and soon proposes marriage to her.

1924, while the rest of officers serve in 37th Infantry Regiment, Brannon is translated in Intervention forces that help counter-revolutionaries in Komuchia, where he is witness to devastation and tyranny brought by Komuchian revolution, and begins to doubt his early socialist sympathies. After his unit catches one of top Komuchian generals, he is shocked by his psychopathic confession of genocide, and after that he cannot look at the people.

1931, after honourable dismissal from the Army, Brannon returns to his native Kappel, where he meets his old friends and finally marries Emely, but happy reunion doesn't last long. The Communists overthrown the Dunfermian government, and the Civil War starts. The Officers refuse to join either side, but soon Communists take over Kappel, and sadistic Scot Hibbert (Finnr M. Adolvsson) is appointed as town governor. After Hibbert orders execution of Robert's son for counter-revolution, in his grief the old Colonel finally decides to start rebellion. Soldiers and officers of dissolved 37th Regiment form new regiment: Kappelian Most Loyal Infantry Regiment, and overthrown local communist government. In his grief, the old colonel shots dead many communists, as he finds them guilty of his son's death. Only Hopson stops him from starting the campaign of terror, and Brannon reflects on how the Colonel became as bloodthirsty as Jacobins were.

The Communists then send forces to recapture Kappel, sending ultimatum to the revolting officers. Knowing no matter what, their town would suffer for rebellion, the regiment men solemnly pledge to rather die, than allow tyranny to rule over Kappel. After many battles, the Kappelian Regiment defeats communist forces. On Christmas day they receive news of a large army coming their way, and Colonel, still feeling guilty, almost surrenders, before Brannon reminds his friends of their oath. The Old Colonel then sends Ealair, as youngest of the Officers to escape Kappel with his family, under excuse of seeking reinfocements, much in spite of Ealair's desire to die with his friends.

Before coming to battle, Brannon discuss the future with Emely, where she accepts his fate after she fails to dissuade him.

After long battle, the Kappelian regiment runs out of ammunition, and out of desperation Brannon (who serves as captain) send men to hand-to-hand combat, where they are all killed by superior force. In his grim determination, orders the regiment not to retreat, even in face of superior enemy. After regrouping, the Red Army then finally defeats the Kappelians in ferocious battle, having heavy casualties. Seeing their heroic sacrifice, communist commander orders to retreat instead of taking Kappel.

Kenangan or Memory, is a 2004 LGBTQ romantic drama movie. It was the second LGBTQ theme movie that being nominated in PAMPAS Academy Award, Pemecutan's film award ceremony. And also the first LGBTQ theme movie that won Best Film category.

The movie is regarded as a stepping point towards recognition of LGBTQ theme movie in Pemecutanian film industry. The awarding also gave a positif feedback towards PAMPAS (Pemecutan Academy of Motion Arts and Science).

After 12 days of his grandfather funeral, Dwipa help his mother to gather and sorted his grandfather belongings. He found a black wooden box hidden at the bottom of his grandfather cupboard. He open it and found several letters sent by the same person. When he asked his mother about it, she can't recall that her father ever mention the name that written as that letters sender.

Dwipa try to find out who is that letters sender is. He also read all the letters in that box in which making him even more shocked. He is then try to go to the sender's address. The journey is quite far as the sender reside in another town. He arrive at the address on the afternoon. A man around his age open the house's door. Dwipa asked to meet Suraberata, the sender's name. The man whose name Wahyu says that Suraberata, his grandfather is at the retirement house. Dwipa reluctantly agreed to spend the night at Wahyu's house as Wahyu agreed to accompany him to the retirement house.

At the retirement house, Dwipa finally meet Suraberata. He give him the wooden box with his letters inside it. He also told him about Kencana's death, his grandfather. Suraberata cried in silent after knowing the truth. He then promise Dwipa that he will tell him their story.

Adya, an Eramanian Palmyran is a pirated video CD seller in a night market in Anara. Adya's life changed when a young Eramanian Malay woman, Melur visited his stall to buy a VCD. The two fell in love at first sight. Adya left his phone number inside the VCD and the two starts to get in touch.

Later, the two continue to meet each other and develop an interracial romantic relationship. Melur was taunted for dating someone who is not of the same colour but she ignored it and argued that "For generations, Malay men have been marrying outside their race. Now I, a Malay woman do it, everyone is making noise! ​​"

At the end of the credits, Melur is seen in a bedroom with Adya, both wearing wedding rings.

During the time of early Tegeh Kori Kingdom reign, in a remote place near the mountain, a small village is in a peaceful situation until for the past months. An obscured event shocked the villagers when in one morning they found their cattle are all dead and several people suddenly missing and found dead after a few days. The head village, I Suka Lara, asked for a protection from higher authority. One day, a young man wandering alone near the forest in the edge of the village. He is suddenly being attack by an unknown forces. A group of soldiers come to rescue the man. After rescuing the young man, the soldier leader ask the young man for the head village mansion. The young man, I Jaya Langkir, who fortunately the head village's son, takes the soldiers to his house. I Karang Damar, the soldier leader talk intensely with I Suka Lara about the village situation. Neither of them know that I Jaya Langkir ears-dropping their conversation. The mother, Ni Eka Laksmi escorted his soon for his behavior. I Jaya Langkir is immerse with the soldier leader.

During the time the soldiers are in the village, I Jaya Langkir and I Karang Damar relationship also become close. Ni Eka Laksmi notice their closeness and confront his son. I Jaya Langkir admitted that he likes the soldier's leader. His mother asked him to forget his feelings. I Jaya Langkir try to do what's his mother asked him to do. But his action makes I Karang Damar confused. During one of the soldier patrol, the soldiers are ambushed by unseen forces which injured I Karang Damar. Jaya Langkir patiently taking care of Karang Damar injury much to Eka Laksmi annoyed. She then asked his husband to arrange marriage for their son. Knowing his parents decision, Jaya Langkir run from his house. The injured Karang Damar runs to search for him. He find Jaya Langkir near the forest. Karang Damar succeed to calm him. But when they wants to back to the village, a strange mist avoid their sight. An unseen forces then attack both of them. Jaya Langkir take Karang Damar sword and defended him from the force. After much fight, they are able to runaway. But the forces still try to catch them. Both of them hide inside a temple where the forces unable to break through. Karang Damar is still in shock to know that Jaya Langkir can fight and using sword. They hide in the temple through the night.

The next morning, Jaya Langkir is stunned when he doesn't find Karang Damar. He trace his presence which lead him to the forest. Although afraid, Jaya Langkir went inside the dense forest. In the village, the situation is in chaos after both head village' son and the soldier's leader went missing. Inside the forest, Jaya Langkir see a strange phenomenon every where. But he finally relieve after seeing Karang Damar is lying above a huge rock. When he try to approach him, something block his way. The strange forces comes again but this time it surrounding Karang Damar's body. Jaya Langkir shouted for Karang Damar to gain conscious but to no avail. The forces become more and more dense until it composed into a human body. Jaya Langkir is shock to see that human personification is very similar to Karang Damar. He then confront that person. Karang Damar personification laugh helplessly. The personification says that he will kill Karang Damar and use the body as a disguise for his true identity. The personification is truly just a shadow, a spirit. It only can possessed dead body and took their identity. Afraid of losing the one he love, Jaya Langkir asked the shadow to take away his life instead.
Karang Damar come to his consciousness. He is very delighted to see Jaya Langkir is on his side. He hug him tightly. They then go back to the village much to the joy of the villagers and the rest of the soldiers. During their time together, Karang Damar rise his sword to Jaya Langkir. He says that although his face is Jaya Langkir but his attitude is not him. Jaya Langkir laugh. He told Karang Damar that Jaya Langkir has sacrifice himself for him to alive. Devastated with the news, Karang Damar fights the fake Jaya Langkir. The villagers and the soldiers are shock with the fights. Karang Damar stated that the one he faced now is not the real Jaya Langkir and says that Jaya Langkir has died. Ni Eka Laksmi loss her conscious after knowing his son's dead. Karang Damar able to push the fake Jaya Langkir into the forest when the shadow spirit comes out from Jaya Langkir body. The shadow's spirit become stronger in its true form. Karang Damar is cornered and unable to moved. The shadow spirit tell him about the time when Jaya Langkir decided to sacrifice himself. From the story, Karang Damar understand the great feeling that young man has for him. He then release his last power. Combining his blood with his sword, he summoned the fire of hell. The fire engulfed the shadow spirit. But then he realize that the Jaya Langkir's spirit is also inside the Shadow Spirit. He use his might to catch Jaya Langkir's spirit and take him out from the Shadow Spirit's body. Karang Damar is badly injured with burning all over his body. Jaya Langkir's spirit stay in his side while the Shadow Spirit has burned down. On his last breath, Karang Damar confess his feeling towards the young man.

A few times later, the villagers and soldiers come to the fighting scene. All of them feels shock and sad. I Suka Lara and Ni Eka Laksmi that come behind, try to go through the crowed to see what's really happen. Eka Laksmi falls to her knees when she sees her son's body is on top of the soldier's leader body. Both of them had died. A few months later, the village have been calm again. No more ambushed or terrors from strange presence. I Suka Lara bid farewell to the remaining soldiers who will be back to the main town. While his wife visit their son and the soldier's leader grave which is lay side by side. A white crown flowers are put on top of their graves.

the outside has not discovered this land, and many of the people there are officially 'dead' in records.
It is set in 1983,Soviet nuclear false alarm incident. the incident devolved into full-scale war, with relatively few nuclear weapons being deployed in battle, for the sake of humanity.
as the scream of planes and nukes looks overhead, with many watching the ordeal, several soviet planes mysteriously crash on the island, killing the pilots.
there are several engineers on the island, who manage to fix the planes. several take them and fly into Russia, land and being armed and refueled, with the sneak of suspicion. They discover that they have been armed with nuclear bombs.
as they struggle to fly their planes. some going off the runway, they quickly go west, into the heart of the soviet union.
they had planned to bomb Moscow.
on of the 'pilot's before dropping his bomb, pulls of the canopy, screaming 'HASTA LA VISTA'.
the speed of the plane yanks him out of the plane, smashing him into another.
that plane sideswipes another, and in end all the planes crash.

In the time of mid 17th century of Giri Island, the northern part of the island is controlled by a powerful kingdom known as Ulunusa Kingdom. The kingdom is quite old. It has been around from 14th century. The kingdom is very prosperous. The monarch lead from their capital in Ulun Pasih. The situation is so calm lately although deep inside the kingdom something big might happen. The current King, King Linggih X doesn't have male child and the kingdom throne might be pass to his nephew, Prince Ki Satya Damar. But the king is reluctant to give the kingdom to his nephew. He paid more attention to his eldest daughter, Princess Nyi Madu Sari. The Princess is given a tight lesson and preparation to become the next successor. Patih Agung Ki Karang Dawa warned the King about his action to his Princess. He told the King that female monarch might be not welcomed by most of the population. Although King Linggih X dismissed Patih Agung warning, he always worry about his daughter's future.

King Linggih X approached Duke of Pemogan and ask him to come to his Court. His intention is to ask for a marriage between the Duke's son and his eldest daughter. Duke of Pemogan is quite shocked with the reason of the meeting. He feels honor with the King's intention. And without any hesitation, the Duke agreed. The marriage between Prince Ki Sapta Guna of Pemogan and Princess Nyi Madu Sari of Linggih is held very lively. Although behind it, a plotting is develop. A secret meeting is held between Count of Tonja and his closed followers after the marriage. Princess Nyi Madu Sari continues her study and become an excellence heir. As her marriage is matrilineal then she has a right as the rightful successor for his father. But Patih Agung's concern become reality when he gets news from the spies about conspiracy that build up around the Royal Family. He told King Linggih X about the spy report. The King's become more worry about his daughter's future if he died. But his concern makes him depressed which cost his health. King Linggih X finally died.

After 12 days of mourning period, Princess Nyi Madu Sari is crowned as the new Monarch of Ulunusa. She entitled Queen Linggih XI. During her reign, many uprising occurred. The largest one is initiate by Count of Tonja, her own uncle. He wants to take the throne for his son and he despise a female as the ruler of the kingdom. The uprising almost crushed the kingdom. The capital, Ulun Pasih, was besieged. The territory of Petang Islands is controlled completely. After almost a month under siege, the capital fall. The Queen have been escaped to Belaluan and reached Tambangan border. Army from Pemogan arrived to save the Queen and recaptured the capital. The traitors are forced back out of the port. They then fortify themselves in Petang Islands. Queen Linggih XI come back to the capital. She ask Count of Tonja for a cease fire because she doesn't wants the kingdom to collapsed further. A meeting is held and it is settled that Count of Tonja and his follower will take Petang Islands as their domain and established a kingdom which become a vassal of Ulunusa. Count of Tonja agreed. Nusa Petang Kingdom is established but Count of Tonja's son is the one who ascend to the throne.

With the break away of Petang Islands, the Queen's opinion is deteriorated. Several uprising happened again which makes the opinion towards the Queen's decrease rapidly. The spy told the Queen's that King Satya I is the one behind all the uprising that happened in the kingdom. The uprisings are made to make the peoples believe that a Queen can't lead a kingdom. The Queen reluctant to wage another war with Petang Islands. She then told Patih Agung Ki Karang Dawa that she is intended to give the throne to her son. She doesn't wants her peoples suffer further if she reigned longer. Immediately after Prince Ki Sida Sapurna reached majority age, The Queen announce her abdication.

After 12 days after her abdication, Prince Ki Sida Sapurna is crowned as the new King. His first decision is to moved the capital from Ulun Pasih into more inland. Satria Palace is build as the monarch new residence which is near the highland. And the uprising vanished. Queen Linggih XI which is now become Queen Mother follow her husband to Pemogan. Ngurah Putra is a successful composer. He has composed many songs for various artists during his 20 years career life. His talents are known for his flexibility in music genre which make him could composed many different song genre although his main interest is still classical music.

After taking a holiday abroad, Ngurah Putra back to the country and thinking about making his own music performance again. It has been 5 years from his last composition performance before he busy making other songs that being approached to him. He say about his intention to his best friend, Bayu Krisna, and his friend is very supportive. Although he still reminded Ngurah Putra that many new young artist will try to approach him again to make songs for them. Ngurah Putra just nods for understanding. But he will try to devote himself for the new composition that he wants to make for his new performance. And just like Bayu's prediction, Ngurah Putra meet several artists, young and old, that wants him to create songs for them. Ngurah Putra reluctantly agree but he assure them that he can't make it fast enough because of his own project. Fortunately all of them could understand that. Ngurah Putra separate his life between works and gatherings with his friend. He also spent time in rural to gain inspiration for his own project and the others. He usually wake up until late night to finish the requested songs and also make progress of his own project. It is a usual thing when he sometimes didn't sleep at all. His condition become worse after he collapse in his friend gathering. The doctor told him to take some rest as his body is in severe fatigue. Komang Sudirga, Ngurah Putra's manager, then persuade him to postpone his project and to decline songs request for some time for his own health. Ngurah Putra agree to decline other project but he still wants to continue for his own project. Sudirga reluctantly agree.

One day, Ngurah Putra drive to a countryside to take some inspirations for his project. But he nearly gets accident after his eyesight suddenly blurred and he didn't see other car are coming from the opposite direction. He is admitted again to the hospital. The doctor says that there a possibility of eye problem but he can't be sure whether it is glaucoma or else. The doctor ask him to take further test. Ngurah Putra only said yes to the doctor although he doesn't take the test again. He continue to make progress for his project. And suddenly, one day he wake up with blindness. He call his manager and Sudirga rush him immediately to the hospital. Further tests are underway. And Ngurah Putra is informed that he contracted eye cancer which already reduce his eye sight.

Devastated about the news, Ngurah Putra lock himself from anyone to see. Sudirga, his manager and Bayu, his best friend, try to persuade him to take medication and treatment. After about a week locking himself, Ngurah Putra decided to go out. He doesn't know where to go. He just wandered around the city. He bumped several peoples and even falls to his knees because of his eyesight loss. With much efforts he manage to arrived at the river that cross the city. He just seat in the park bench on the side of the river looking everywhere with his bad eyesight. He suddenly cry for his loss and thinking that he might unable to do anything again because of his blindness. The night has come when he suddenly hear a sound of violin nearby. He can't see who's the one that playing it but he could feel the melody. It's soft, sad but encouraging. Ngurah Putra then sat up and went back to his apartment.

The next day, he contact his manager that he will proceed with the treatment much to his manager delight. Ngurah Putra is being treated for several months while he continue to compose for his project. Even though he still can't see clearly but he still can hear all the sound around him. Ngurah Putra is being informed that the doctor will operate his eye to stop the cancer spread. He is also being informed that the worst case is a possibility of permanent blindness. Ngurah Putra think about it for sometimes before he decided to continue with the operation procedure.

The operation is successful although Ngurah Putra will loss almost 75% of his eye sight afterwards. Ngurah Putra just smile brightly. He accept everything that happen. After back to his apartment, he continue to finish his project.

Ngurah Putra feels nervous when his project is ready to be perform by the city orchestra. His manager stay besides him to accompany him to meet everyone that come to the performance. His best friend, Bayu also present and help him to make the performance available. Ngurah Putra seated in front of the stage when the performance from his composition are being played. He unconsciously shed tears during the performance. After the performance ended all the audience gives a standing ovation. They praise the performance as the best of his many creations. Ngurah Putra smile widely for his success and for all the peoples that have help him through everything until his project is finished.

The story begins with Teruna, who is married to Dara. The couple lives in peace at the beginning of the marriage but it didn't last long. The couple is often harassed by strange things. It's frightening the couple, especially Teruna. The couple made a lot of effort to stop the disturbance but failed.

The return of Teruna's ex-girlfriend named Jelita adds more trauma to the couple. Jelita can't accept the fact that Teruna is married and is always looking for Teruna even when Teruna is with Dara. This caused Teruna to become more worried. Shortly afterwards Jelita was found dead committing suicide.

Jelita's spirit began to disturb Teruna and Dara. Teruna's life is getting more depressed. After experiencing various strange events, Teruna finally admitted his past mistakes. The dark magic practised by Teruna is now demanding its end of the deal and Teruna had to pay them at a very high price.

In 1921 Jematang, 13 years old Ki Sapta Duha is the heir to Magendra Estate. He live only with his grandmother, Nyi Ayu Lastri. Sapta Duha is a spoiled child and always wants to get everything he wants. Pande Suryanatha is chosen by Ayu Lastri to guard Sapta Duha. The 9 years age differences still make their relationship close. Suryanatha teach Sapta Duha another side of life and he becomes less spoiled. Sapta Duha also regarded Suryanatha as his older brother and protector. But the feeling is develop further. On his 17th birthday, Sapta Duha confess his love for Suryanatha. The man quite shock although he also admit that he has the same feeling towards Sapta Duha. But he understand their status will be their main obstacle. Their closeness is notice by Ayu Lastri, the grandmother. She even witness both of them kissing in the stable. He focus himself towards his job as he already admitted to Jematang Hospital. At first Diah Suari doesn't really understand about his husband behavior. She only thought that his husband has a busy job at hospital that make him always feel tired. But for sometimes, Diah Suari find it strange when Sapta Duha doesn't want to touch her.

In the other hand, Suryanatha is conscripted as an army and begin his live in the military with the fear of World War outbreak. The war finally reach Pemecutan and the country is heavily affected. As a doctor, Sapta Duha is assigned into medic group. He is sent to Ubung. While Suryanatha also being there to battling Japanese army. Suryanatha is heavily injured and sent to the medic ward. As faith comes to them, they meet again after several years. Sapta Duha taking care of Suryanatha wound and also reestablish their relationship. Suryanatha reluctant at first, as he knows that Sapta Duha is already married. But Sapta Duha assured him that he doesn't happy with his marriage as his love is only for him. When the city is captured, all the medic staff and injured soldiers are evacuated to Tambangan. But during the raid of Tambangan, the hospital is sacked. All injured soldiers are captured including Suryanatha while Sapta Duha as a doctor is also held captive by the Japanese army.

After the country being freed, Sapta Duha search for Suryanatha existence although to no avail. He lost his trace after the Tambangan Hospital raid. Sapta Duha decided to divorce his wife while focusing himself to search for Suryanatha. Many years has passed and Sapta Duha only have a little hope that he will find and meet Suryanatha again. One day, Sapta Duha is invited to a painting exhibition. He doesn't feel to go but eventually he goes to the exhibition. When he see the paintings, he feels close connection with the all the paintings. He is shock when he see one of the paintings that on the display. He recount the memory from his youth on his 17th birthday when he confessed his feelings towards Suryanatha and eventually Suryanatha made a painting of him. And now he see the similarity of Suryanatha's painting and the painting he see right now. He rush in the crowd and looking everywhere for a possibility that Suryanatha might be here also. His friend approach him and ask about his bewildered behavior. Sapta Duha then asked him about the painter of tonight exhibition. And he is shock again after his friend told him that the painter name is Pande Suryanatha. His friend confused when seeing the pale face of Sapta Duha. Satria just came back to his hometown after 8 years in the city, studying at the university and get some working. He see that his hometown is not much change, most are still the same. When he goes to the traditional market, he meet his childhood friend and also his first crush, Wirya. Their first meeting seems to be an awkward moment for both of them. As Satria still have the same feeling while Wirya literally try to avoid any contact.

Satria try to get more information about his crushed. From his mother, he finally knows that Wirya is already married and have a five years old son. He feel heartbroken for the truth. He decided to avoid Wirya. But the faith are not with him. They are always bump into each other and as Wirya always help Satria's mother in their rice field, they always seen each other. These makes everything gets more awkward.

One day, Hartati, Satria's mother, asked him to give a lunch box for Wirya. Although reluctant at first, but Satria have to complied. At the rice field, they are having lunch together in a silent until Wirya started a conversation. Even though not too much but they've started to share their stories from 8 years passed. Until suddenly, Wirya makes a move a kiss Satria which shock him. After the incident, Satria try to avoid him. Not because he doesn't have the feeling to him, but because Wirya is already married. But the lunch box have to always delivered for Wirya which makes Satria harder to avoid him. While Wirya ask for forgiveness for his bold action. And questioning Satria's feeling towards him. Satria have to lied to Wirya and says that he had forgetting his feeling towards him much to Wirya disbelief.

Satria can't understand Wirya's attitude and attention too him. He is confused. Wirya is already married but why he still try to get close too him. Satria always avoided Wirya's closeness but they are always meet for the lunch at the field as Wirya is working for Hartati. Until one day their closeness change into more intimate and their intimacy are seen by Wirya's wive who come to the rice field to tell him about their sick son.

Dewi, Wirya's wive, feels indifference towards Wirya. She question Wirya's feelings towards her and their marriage life. One day, she ask Wirya about his relationship with Satria which shocked him. He tried to avoid the question but she keep pressuring him until he told the truth that he love Satria and always love him and their marriage is just a way for him to try to forget Satria. Although now he understand that he can't and never completely forget his feelings towards Satria. The revelation really shocked Dewi. She decided to leave her husband and take their son to her father's house.

Satria learn Wirya's marriage situation from Hartati and confront Wirya. Wirya told him that he is regretting break up with Satria 8 years ago (the reason why Satria leave his hometown and studied at the city) and he can't burried his feeling for Satria until now. The marriage is only a mask for Wirya for he try to be 'normal' but he completely failed as he still have the same feeling for Satria.

Hartati concern of Satria's change behavior. She try to console his son. Satria ask her for what can he do about the situation. He can't deny that he also still love Wirya but he is already married. Hartati says that sometimes love have to sacrifice.

Satria decide to meet Dewi. He tell her that he will go back to the city and might not come back again. Dewi is shock with Satria's decision and ask him about his feeling for Wirya. Satria just smile and says that he still love Wirya but Wirya already have another future. Dewi feel sadden with Satria's revelation. He then ask Dewi to go back with Wirya and not telling him about Satria's decision.

Satria have pack his belongings and gives a farewell to his mother. Hartati supported her son decision although with heavy heart. When Satria waiting for his bus at the terminal, he is stopped by Wirya who asked him not to go again. He try to convince Satria by divorcing Dewi so that they can be together no matter what others will say. But Satria is unmoved. Even though he really wants to be with Wirya but he can't break their marriage. He also think about Wirya's son. His son can't be grow up without a father. If 8 years ago Wirya is the one who give up their love because of frighten for what people will say about them, now Satria have to give up their love for Wirya's marriage longevity. Although hard for him, Wirya have to let go Satria. He blamed himself for his cowardice 8 years ago which makes their complicated situation now.

Satria looking at Wirya from the bus window for the last time before the bus started their ride to the city. He can't control his feeling as the situation of 8 years ago repeated again. He can't control his tears that have falling down. On the other hand, Wirya come to his house. He is shocked as his son run towards him and Dewi is standing inside the house. He try to fake the smile and embrace the wrong decision that he had made 8 years ago. He embrace his son and come towards Dewi who is also smiling.

15 years later, Yudi have become an IT staff with a great job and a huge salary. He is living a great life although he is still single. On the other hand, Ratih change into a beautiful women and working in tourism sector as a financial staff and shockingly still single. They have lost contact after their university days. But they finally meet each other during a reunion day of their high school. They become quite nervous when they meet again but things change fast as they talks about their passed university life. Knowing that they are both still single, Yudi reminded Ratih about their promised to Ratih surprise. She never thought that he will remember that promise. With an awkward moment, they decided to try to become a couple.

They find themselves very connected to each other as a friend but become very strange when they try to become a couple. Yudi's shyness and Ratih's insecurity makes their relationship ups and downs. On the other hand, Putra, their high school popular friend, took interest in Ratih after he saw her during their reunion party. Putra makes aggressive move to win Ratih's heart which makes Ratih become more confused. While Sinta, Yudi's coworker who have interest on him always try to seduced him.

Things gets really complicated when several events make both Yudi and Ratih build their jealousy towards each other. Until they decided to break-up. Ratih then become Putra's girlfriend while Yudi try his luck with Sinta. But, it turns out Putra only like Ratih for who is she now but not her overweight selves. While Yudi find himself being uncomfortable with Sinta's lewd behavior. These makes them break up with them.

One night, Yudi and Ratih accidentally meet each other in a restaurant of a hotel where Ratih is working. The awkward atmosphere built up between them until suddenly Yudi encourage himself to ask Ratih out and retry their relationship. Ratih is silent for a while before said yes. The Movie is set in 1931, during the Dunfermian civil war, with flashbacks to 1921, 1924, and 1929 (start of the war); and tells the story of short-lived Kappel Rebellion and Kappelian Most Loyal Infantry Regiment.

December 29, 1931. Many corpses of soldiers lie dead on winter battlefield, the Narrator (Shane G. Harell) pledges to tell the whole tragedy of Kappelian Regiment, and the camera is focused on dying old colonel Robert Moller (Daníel B. Fairclough) that looks with terror on his dead comrades, before closing his eyes.

1921, young cadets Bern Hopson (Dillon S. Dykstra), Topher Church (Johan D. Sexton), Brannon Lennart (Emerson E. Holland), and Ealair Losndahl (Shane G. Harell) are graduating from Ravenspire Military Academny, and celebrating in local unnamed pub, where they meet Robert Moller still being the captain. Brannon Lennart also meets lady Emely — an orphaned scion of poor noble family, and soon proposes marriage to her.

1924, while the rest of officers serve in 37th Infantry Regiment, Brannon is translated in Intervention forces that help counter-revolutionaries in Komuchia, where he is witness to devastation and tyranny brought by Komuchian revolution, and begins to doubt his early socialist sympathies. After his unit catches one of top Komuchian generals, he is shocked by his psychopathic confession of genocide, and after that he cannot look at the people.

1931, after honourable dismissal from the Army, Brannon returns to his native Kappel, where he meets his old friends and finally marries Emely, but happy reunion doesn't last long. The Communists overthrown the Dunfermian government, and the Civil War starts. The Officers refuse to join either side, but soon Communists take over Kappel, and sadistic Scot Hibbert (Finnr M. Adolvsson) is appointed as town governor. After Hibbert orders execution of Robert's son for counter-revolution, in his grief the old Colonel finally decides to start rebellion. Soldiers and officers of dissolved 37th Regiment form new regiment: Kappelian Most Loyal Infantry Regiment, and overthrown local communist government. In his grief, the old colonel shots dead many communists, as he finds them guilty of his son's death. Only Hopson stops him from starting the campaign of terror, and Brannon reflects on how the Colonel became as bloodthirsty as Jacobins were.

The Communists then send forces to recapture Kappel, sending ultimatum to the revolting officers. Knowing no matter what, their town would suffer for rebellion, the regiment men solemnly pledge to rather die, than allow tyranny to rule over Kappel. After many battles, the Kappelian Regiment defeats communist forces. On Christmas day they receive news of a large army coming their way, and Colonel, still feeling guilty, almost surrenders, before Brannon reminds his friends of their oath. The Old Colonel then sends Ealair, as youngest of the Officers to escape Kappel with his family, under excuse of seeking reinfocements, much in spite of Ealair's desire to die with his friends.

Before coming to battle, Brannon discuss the future with Emely, where she accepts his fate after she fails to dissuade him.

After long battle, the Kappelian regiment runs out of ammunition, and out of desperation Brannon (who serves as captain) send men to hand-to-hand combat, where they are all killed by superior force. In his grim determination, orders the regiment not to retreat, even in face of superior enemy. After regrouping, the Red Army then finally defeats the Kappelians in ferocious battle, having heavy casualties. Seeing their heroic sacrifice, communist commander orders to retreat instead of taking Kappel.

Later, the two continue to meet each other and develop an interracial romantic relationship. Melur was taunted for dating someone who is not of the same colour but she ignored it and argued that "For generations, Malay men have been marrying outside their race. Now I, a Malay woman do it, everyone is making noise! ​​"

At the end of the credits, Melur is seen in a bedroom with Adya, both wearing wedding rings.

Kenangan or Memory, is a 2004 LGBTQ romantic drama movie. It was the second LGBTQ theme movie that being nominated in PAMPAS Academy Award, Pemecutan's film award ceremony. And also the first LGBTQ theme movie that won Best Film category.

The movie is regarded as a stepping point towards recognition of LGBTQ theme movie in Pemecutanian film industry. The awarding also gave a positif feedback towards PAMPAS (Pemecutan Academy of Motion Arts and Science).

After 12 days of his grandfather funeral, Dwipa help his mother to gather and sorted his grandfather belongings. He found a black wooden box hidden at the bottom of his grandfather cupboard. He open it and found several letters sent by the same person. When he asked his mother about it, she can't recall that her father ever mention the name that written as that letters sender.

Dwipa try to find out who is that letters sender is. He also read all the letters in that box in which making him even more shocked. He is then try to go to the sender's address. The journey is quite far as the sender reside in another town. He arrive at the address on the afternoon. A man around his age open the house's door. Dwipa asked to meet Suraberata, the sender's name. The man whose name Wahyu says that Suraberata, his grandfather is at the retirement house. Dwipa reluctantly agreed to spend the night at Wahyu's house as Wahyu agreed to accompany him to the retirement house.

At the retirement house, Dwipa finally meet Suraberata. He give him the wooden box with his letters inside it. He also told him about Kencana's death, his grandfather. Suraberata cried in silent after knowing the truth. He then promise Dwipa that he will tell him their story.

During the time of early Tegeh Kori Kingdom reign, in a remote place near the mountain, a small village is in a peaceful situation until for the past months. An obscured event shocked the villagers when in one morning they found their cattle are all dead and several people suddenly missing and found dead after a few days. The head village, I Suka Lara, asked for a protection from higher authority. One day, a young man wandering alone near the forest in the edge of the village. He is suddenly being attack by an unknown forces. A group of soldiers come to rescue the man. After rescuing the young man, the soldier leader ask the young man for the head village mansion. The young man, I Jaya Langkir, who fortunately the head village's son, takes the soldiers to his house. I Karang Damar, the soldier leader talk intensely with I Suka Lara about the village situation. Neither of them know that I Jaya Langkir ears-dropping their conversation. The mother, Ni Eka Laksmi escorted his soon for his behavior. I Jaya Langkir is immerse with the soldier leader.

During the time the soldiers are in the village, I Jaya Langkir and I Karang Damar relationship also become close. Ni Eka Laksmi notice their closeness and confront his son. I Jaya Langkir admitted that he likes the soldier's leader. His mother asked him to forget his feelings. I Jaya Langkir try to do what's his mother asked him to do. But his action makes I Karang Damar confused. During one of the soldier patrol, the soldiers are ambushed by unseen forces which injured I Karang Damar. Jaya Langkir patiently taking care of Karang Damar injury much to Eka Laksmi annoyed. She then asked his husband to arrange marriage for their son. Knowing his parents decision, Jaya Langkir run from his house. The injured Karang Damar runs to search for him. He find Jaya Langkir near the forest. Karang Damar succeed to calm him. But when they wants to back to the village, a strange mist avoid their sight. An unseen forces then attack both of them. Jaya Langkir take Karang Damar sword and defended him from the force. After much fight, they are able to runaway. But the forces still try to catch them. Both of them hide inside a temple where the forces unable to break through. Karang Damar is still in shock to know that Jaya Langkir can fight and using sword. They hide in the temple through the night.

The next morning, Jaya Langkir is stunned when he doesn't find Karang Damar. He trace his presence which lead him to the forest. Although afraid, Jaya Langkir went inside the dense forest. In the village, the situation is in chaos after both head village' son and the soldier's leader went missing. Inside the forest, Jaya Langkir see a strange phenomenon every where. But he finally relieve after seeing Karang Damar is lying above a huge rock. When he try to approach him, something block his way. The strange forces comes again but this time it surrounding Karang Damar's body. Jaya Langkir shouted for Karang Damar to gain conscious but to no avail. The forces become more and more dense until it composed into a human body. Jaya Langkir is shock to see that human personification is very similar to Karang Damar. He then confront that person. Karang Damar personification laugh helplessly. The personification says that he will kill Karang Damar and use the body as a disguise for his true identity. The personification is truly just a shadow, a spirit. It only can possessed dead body and took their identity. Afraid of losing the one he love, Jaya Langkir asked the shadow to take away his life instead.
Karang Damar come to his consciousness. He is very delighted to see Jaya Langkir is on his side. He hug him tightly. They then go back to the village much to the joy of the villagers and the rest of the soldiers. During their time together, Karang Damar rise his sword to Jaya Langkir. He says that although his face is Jaya Langkir but his attitude is not him. Jaya Langkir laugh. He told Karang Damar that Jaya Langkir has sacrifice himself for him to alive. Devastated with the news, Karang Damar fights the fake Jaya Langkir. The villagers and the soldiers are shock with the fights. Karang Damar stated that the one he faced now is not the real Jaya Langkir and says that Jaya Langkir has died. Ni Eka Laksmi loss her conscious after knowing his son's dead. Karang Damar able to push the fake Jaya Langkir into the forest when the shadow spirit comes out from Jaya Langkir body. The shadow's spirit become stronger in its true form. Karang Damar is cornered and unable to moved. The shadow spirit tell him about the time when Jaya Langkir decided to sacrifice himself. From the story, Karang Damar understand the great feeling that young man has for him. He then release his last power. Combining his blood with his sword, he summoned the fire of hell. The fire engulfed the shadow spirit. But then he realize that the Jaya Langkir's spirit is also inside the Shadow Spirit. He use his might to catch Jaya Langkir's spirit and take him out from the Shadow Spirit's body. Karang Damar is badly injured with burning all over his body. Jaya Langkir's spirit stay in his side while the Shadow Spirit has burned down. On his last breath, Karang Damar confess his feeling towards the young man.

A few times later, the villagers and soldiers come to the fighting scene. All of them feels shock and sad. I Suka Lara and Ni Eka Laksmi that come behind, try to go through the crowed to see what's really happen. Eka Laksmi falls to her knees when she sees her son's body is on top of the soldier's leader body. Both of them had died. A few months later, the village have been calm again. No more ambushed or terrors from strange presence. I Suka Lara bid farewell to the remaining soldiers who will be back to the main town. While his wife visit their son and the soldier's leader grave which is lay side by side. A white crown flowers are put on top of their graves.

In the time of mid 17th century of Giri Island, the northern part of the island is controlled by a powerful kingdom known as Ulunusa Kingdom. The kingdom is quite old. It has been around from 14th century. The kingdom is very prosperous. The monarch lead from their capital in Ulun Pasih. The situation is so calm lately although deep inside the kingdom something big might happen. The current King, King Linggih X doesn't have male child and the kingdom throne might be pass to his nephew, Prince Ki Satya Damar. But the king is reluctant to give the kingdom to his nephew. He paid more attention to his eldest daughter, Princess Nyi Madu Sari. The Princess is given a tight lesson and preparation to become the next successor. Patih Agung Ki Karang Dawa warned the King about his action to his Princess. He told the King that female monarch might be not welcomed by most of the population. Although King Linggih X dismissed Patih Agung warning, he always worry about his daughter's future.

King Linggih X approached Duke of Pemogan and ask him to come to his Court. His intention is to ask for a marriage between the Duke's son and his eldest daughter. Duke of Pemogan is quite shocked with the reason of the meeting. He feels honor with the King's intention. And without any hesitation, the Duke agreed. The marriage between Prince Ki Sapta Guna of Pemogan and Princess Nyi Madu Sari of Linggih is held very lively. Although behind it, a plotting is develop. A secret meeting is held between Count of Tonja and his closed followers after the marriage. Princess Nyi Madu Sari continues her study and become an excellence heir. As her marriage is matrilineal then she has a right as the rightful successor for his father. But Patih Agung's concern become reality when he gets news from the spies about conspiracy that build up around the Royal Family. He told King Linggih X about the spy report. The King's become more worry about his daughter's future if he died. But his concern makes him depressed which cost his health. King Linggih X finally died.

After 12 days of mourning period, Princess Nyi Madu Sari is crowned as the new Monarch of Ulunusa. She entitled Queen Linggih XI. During her reign, many uprising occurred. The largest one is initiate by Count of Tonja, her own uncle. He wants to take the throne for his son and he despise a female as the ruler of the kingdom. The uprising almost crushed the kingdom. The capital, Ulun Pasih, was besieged. The territory of Petang Islands is controlled completely. After almost a month under siege, the capital fall. The Queen have been escaped to Belaluan and reached Tambangan border. Army from Pemogan arrived to save the Queen and recaptured the capital. The traitors are forced back out of the port. They then fortify themselves in Petang Islands. Queen Linggih XI come back to the capital. She ask Count of Tonja for a cease fire because she doesn't wants the kingdom to collapsed further. A meeting is held and it is settled that Count of Tonja and his follower will take Petang Islands as their domain and established a kingdom which become a vassal of Ulunusa. Count of Tonja agreed. Nusa Petang Kingdom is established but Count of Tonja's son is the one who ascend to the throne.

With the break away of Petang Islands, the Queen's opinion is deteriorated. Several uprising happened again which makes the opinion towards the Queen's decrease rapidly. The spy told the Queen's that King Satya I is the one behind all the uprising that happened in the kingdom. The uprisings are made to make the peoples believe that a Queen can't lead a kingdom. The Queen reluctant to wage another war with Petang Islands. She then told Patih Agung Ki Karang Dawa that she is intended to give the throne to her son. She doesn't wants her peoples suffer further if she reigned longer. Immediately after Prince Ki Sida Sapurna reached majority age, The Queen announce her abdication.

After 12 days after her abdication, Prince Ki Sida Sapurna is crowned as the new King. His first decision is to moved the capital from Ulun Pasih into more inland. Satria Palace is build as the monarch new residence which is near the highland. And the uprising vanished. Queen Linggih XI which is now become Queen Mother follow her husband to Pemogan. She live peacefully there until her death.

The story begins with Teruna, who is married to Dara. The couple lives in peace at the beginning of the marriage but it didn't last long. The couple is often harassed by strange things. It's frightening the couple, especially Teruna. The couple made a lot of effort to stop the disturbance but failed.

The return of Teruna's ex-girlfriend named Jelita adds more trauma to the couple. Jelita can't accept the fact that Teruna is married and is always looking for Teruna even when Teruna is with Dara. This caused Teruna to become more worried. Shortly afterwards Jelita was found dead committing suicide.

Jelita's spirit began to disturb Teruna and Dara. Teruna's life is getting more depressed. After experiencing various strange events, Teruna finally admitted his past mistakes. The dark magic practised by Teruna is now demanding its end of the deal and Teruna had to pay them at a very high price.

The 9 years age differences still make their relationship close. Suryanatha teach Sapta Duha another side of life and he becomes less spoiled. Sapta Duha also regarded Suryanatha as his older brother and protector. But the feeling is develop further. On his 17th birthday, Sapta Duha confess his love for Suryanatha. The man quite shock although he also admit that he has the same feeling towards Sapta Duha. But he understand their status will be their main obstacle. Their closeness is notice by Ayu Lastri, the grandmother. She even witness both of them kissing in the stable. Seeing Suryanatha as a bad influence towards Sapta Duha, she fired him and sent him faraway. Devastated with his loss, Sapta Duha lock himself for a month.

Sapta Duha then went abroad for further study. He is taking medical major. While Suryanatha live in the countryside and become a farmer. Ayu Lastri arrange for their marriage, Sapta Duha reluctantly agreed. The marriage goes well even though Sapta Duha keep his distance from his wife. He focus himself towards his job as he already admitted to Jematang Hospital. At first Diah Suari doesn't really understand about his husband behavior. She only thought that his husband has a busy job at hospital that make him always feel tired. But for sometimes, Diah Suari find it strange when Sapta Duha doesn't want to touch her.

In the other hand, Suryanatha is conscripted as an army and begin his live in the military with the fear of World War outbreak. The war finally reach Pemecutan and the country is heavily affected. As a doctor, Sapta Duha is assigned into medic group. He is sent to Ubung. While Suryanatha also being there to battling Japanese army. Suryanatha is heavily injured and sent to the medic ward. As faith comes to them, they meet again after several years. Sapta Duha taking care of Suryanatha wound and also reestablish their relationship. Suryanatha reluctant at first, as he knows that Sapta Duha is already married. But Sapta Duha assured him that he doesn't happy with his marriage as his love is only for him. When the city is captured, all the medic staff and injured soldiers are evacuated to Tambangan. But during the raid of Tambangan, the hospital is sacked. All injured soldiers are captured including Suryanatha while Sapta Duha as a doctor is also held captive by the Japanese army.

After the country being freed, Sapta Duha search for Suryanatha existence although to no avail. He lost his trace after the Tambangan Hospital raid. Sapta Duha decided to divorce his wife while focusing himself to search for Suryanatha. Many years has passed and Sapta Duha only have a little hope that he will find and meet Suryanatha again. One day, Sapta Duha is invited to a painting exhibition. He doesn't feel to go but eventually he goes to the exhibition. When he see the paintings, he feels close connection with the all the paintings. He is shock when he see one of the paintings that on the display. He recount the memory from his youth on his 17th birthday when he confessed his feelings towards Suryanatha and eventually Suryanatha made a painting of him. And now he see the similarity of Suryanatha's painting and the painting he see right now. He rush in the crowd and looking everywhere for a possibility that Suryanatha might be here also. His friend approach him and ask about his bewildered behavior. Sapta Duha then asked him about the painter of tonight exhibition. And he is shock again after his friend told him that the painter name is Pande Suryanatha. His friend confused when seeing the pale face of Sapta Duha. He ask his friend where he could meet the painter. But his friend saying that Suryanatha has died 2 years ago because of his war wound complication. Ngurah Putra is a successful composer. He has composed many songs for various artists during his 20 years career life. His talents are known for his flexibility in music genre which make him could composed many different song genre although his main interest is still classical music.

After taking a holiday abroad, Ngurah Putra back to the country and thinking about making his own music performance again. It has been 5 years from his last composition performance before he busy making other songs that being approached to him. He say about his intention to his best friend, Bayu Krisna, and his friend is very supportive. Although he still reminded Ngurah Putra that many new young artist will try to approach him again to make songs for them. Ngurah Putra just nods for understanding. But he will try to devote himself for the new composition that he wants to make for his new performance. And just like Bayu's prediction, Ngurah Putra meet several artists, young and old, that wants him to create songs for them. Ngurah Putra reluctantly agree but he assure them that he can't make it fast enough because of his own project. Fortunately all of them could understand that. Ngurah Putra separate his life between works and gatherings with his friend. He also spent time in rural to gain inspiration for his own project and the others. He usually wake up until late night to finish the requested songs and also make progress of his own project. It is a usual thing when he sometimes didn't sleep at all. His condition become worse after he collapse in his friend gathering. The doctor told him to take some rest as his body is in severe fatigue. Komang Sudirga, Ngurah Putra's manager, then persuade him to postpone his project and to decline songs request for some time for his own health. Ngurah Putra agree to decline other project but he still wants to continue for his own project. Sudirga reluctantly agree.

One day, Ngurah Putra drive to a countryside to take some inspirations for his project. But he nearly gets accident after his eyesight suddenly blurred and he didn't see other car are coming from the opposite direction. He is admitted again to the hospital. The doctor says that there a possibility of eye problem but he can't be sure whether it is glaucoma or else. The doctor ask him to take further test. Ngurah Putra only said yes to the doctor although he doesn't take the test again. He continue to make progress for his project. And suddenly, one day he wake up with blindness. He call his manager and Sudirga rush him immediately to the hospital. Further tests are underway. And Ngurah Putra is informed that he contracted eye cancer which already reduce his eye sight.

Devastated about the news, Ngurah Putra lock himself from anyone to see. Sudirga, his manager and Bayu, his best friend, try to persuade him to take medication and treatment. After about a week locking himself, Ngurah Putra decided to go out. He doesn't know where to go. He just wandered around the city. He bumped several peoples and even falls to his knees because of his eyesight loss. With much efforts he manage to arrived at the river that cross the city. He just seat in the park bench on the side of the river looking everywhere with his bad eyesight. He suddenly cry for his loss and thinking that he might unable to do anything again because of his blindness. The night has come when he suddenly hear a sound of violin nearby. He can't see who's the one that playing it but he could feel the melody. It's soft, sad but encouraging. Ngurah Putra then sat up and went back to his apartment.

The next day, he contact his manager that he will proceed with the treatment much to his manager delight. Ngurah Putra is being treated for several months while he continue to compose for his project. Even though he still can't see clearly but he still can hear all the sound around him. Ngurah Putra is being informed that the doctor will operate his eye to stop the cancer spread. He is also being informed that the worst case is a possibility of permanent blindness. Ngurah Putra think about it for sometimes before he decided to continue with the operation procedure.

The operation is successful although Ngurah Putra will loss almost 75% of his eye sight afterwards. Ngurah Putra just smile brightly. He accept everything that happen. After back to his apartment, he continue to finish his project.

Ngurah Putra feels nervous when his project is ready to be perform by the city orchestra. His manager stay besides him to accompany him to meet everyone that come to the performance. His best friend, Bayu also present and help him to make the performance available. Ngurah Putra seated in front of the stage when the performance from his composition are being played. About 15 years ago, Yudi and Ratih are closed friend during their high school year. Yudi is a nerd shy boy while Ratih is an overweight bright girl. Their high school life was not very good and also their love life. During the graduation day, they made a promise that they will marry each other if none of them get married in their 30th birthday.

15 years later, Yudi have become an IT staff with a great job and a huge salary. He is living a great life although he is still single. On the other hand, Ratih change into a beautiful women and working in tourism sector as a financial staff and shockingly still single. They have lost contact after their university days. But they finally meet each other during a reunion day of their high school. They become quite nervous when they meet again but things change fast as they talks about their passed university life. Knowing that they are both still single, Yudi reminded Ratih about their promised to Ratih surprise. She never thought that he will remember that promise. With an awkward moment, they decided to try to become a couple.

They find themselves very connected to each other as a friend but become very strange when they try to become a couple. Yudi's shyness and Ratih's insecurity makes their relationship ups and downs. On the other hand, Putra, their high school popular friend, took interest in Ratih after he saw her during their reunion party. Putra makes aggressive move to win Ratih's heart which makes Ratih become more confused. While Sinta, Yudi's coworker who have interest on him always try to seduced him.

Things gets really complicated when several events make both Yudi and Ratih build their jealousy towards each other. Until they decided to break-up. Ratih then become Putra's girlfriend while Yudi try his luck with Sinta. But, it turns out Putra only like Ratih for who is she now but not her overweight selves. While Yudi find himself being uncomfortable with Sinta's lewd behavior. These makes them break up with them.

One night, Yudi and Ratih accidentally meet each other in a restaurant of a hotel where Ratih is working. The awkward atmosphere built up between them until suddenly Yudi encourage himself to ask Ratih out and retry their relationship. Ratih is silent for a while before said yes. And both of them kissed each other inside the restaurant with the clapping and cheering sounds from the restaurant guests.

He then focused his explanation over the establishment of MG Oil, Pemecutan state-owned oil and gas company. The movie detailing the background of MG Oil establishment, their establishment process, their earlier years.

In the mid, the film focused on the expansion of MG Oil. Their new drilling location and the difficulties of offshore oil exploration. Then they focused on the controversy about Uyuri Oil Exploration in Soracana Islands which made the strain over both countries relationship. The company setbacks is shown afterwards. Continued with the establishment of MG Power, the company subsidiary which focused on renewable energy.

Satria just came back to his hometown after 8 years in the city, studying at the university and get some working. He see that his hometown is not much change, most are still the same. When he goes to the traditional market, he meet his childhood friend and also his first crush, Wirya. Their first meeting seems to be an awkward moment for both of them. As Satria still have the same feeling while Wirya literally try to avoid any contact.

Satria try to get more information about his crushed. From his mother, he finally knows that Wirya is already married and have a five years old son. He feel heartbroken for the truth. He decided to avoid Wirya. But the faith are not with him. They are always bump into each other and as Wirya always help Satria's mother in their rice field, they always seen each other. These makes everything gets more awkward.

One day, Hartati, Satria's mother, asked him to give a lunch box for Wirya. Although reluctant at first, but Satria have to complied. At the rice field, they are having lunch together in a silent until Wirya started a conversation. Even though not too much but they've started to share their stories from 8 years passed. Until suddenly, Wirya makes a move a kiss Satria which shock him. After the incident, Satria try to avoid him. Not because he doesn't have the feeling to him, but because Wirya is already married. But the lunch box have to always delivered for Wirya which makes Satria harder to avoid him. While Wirya ask for forgiveness for his bold action. And questioning Satria's feeling towards him. Satria have to lied to Wirya and says that he had forgetting his feeling towards him much to Wirya disbelief.

Satria can't understand Wirya's attitude and attention too him. He is confused. Wirya is already married but why he still try to get close too him. Satria always avoided Wirya's closeness but they are always meet for the lunch at the field as Wirya is working for Hartati. Until one day their closeness change into more intimate and their intimacy are seen by Wirya's wive who come to the rice field to tell him about their sick son.

Dewi, Wirya's wive, feels indifference towards Wirya. She question Wirya's feelings towards her and their marriage life. One day, she ask Wirya about his relationship with Satria which shocked him. He tried to avoid the question but she keep pressuring him until he told the truth that he love Satria and always love him and their marriage is just a way for him to try to forget Satria. Although now he understand that he can't and never completely forget his feelings towards Satria. The revelation really shocked Dewi. She decided to leave her husband and take their son to her father's house.

Satria learn Wirya's marriage situation from Hartati and confront Wirya. Wirya told him that he is regretting break up with Satria 8 years ago (the reason why Satria leave his hometown and studied at the city) and he can't burried his feeling for Satria until now. The marriage is only a mask for Wirya for he try to be 'normal' but he completely failed as he still have the same feeling for Satria.

Hartati concern of Satria's change behavior. She try to console his son. Satria ask her for what can he do about the situation. He can't deny that he also still love Wirya but he is already married. Hartati says that sometimes love have to sacrifice.

Satria decide to meet Dewi. He tell her that he will go back to the city and might not come back again. Dewi is shock with Satria's decision and ask him about his feeling for Wirya. Satria just smile and says that he still love Wirya but Wirya already have another future. Dewi feel sadden with Satria's revelation. He then ask Dewi to go back with Wirya and not telling him about Satria's decision.

Satria have pack his belongings and gives a farewell to his mother. Hartati supported her son decision although with heavy heart. When Satria waiting for his bus at the terminal, he is stopped by Wirya who asked him not to go again. He try to convince Satria by divorcing Dewi so that they can be together no matter what others will say. But Satria is unmoved. Even though he really wants to be with Wirya but he can't break their marriage. He also think about Wirya's son. His son can't be grow up without a father. If 8 years ago Wirya is the one who give up their love because of frighten for what people will say about them, now Satria have to give up their love for Wirya's marriage longevity. Although hard for him, Wirya have to let go Satria. He blamed himself for his cowardice 8 years ago which makes their complicated situation now.

Satria looking at Wirya from the bus window for the last time before the bus started their ride to the city. He can't control his feeling as the situation of 8 years ago repeated again. He can't control his tears that have falling down. On the other hand, Wirya come to his house. He is shocked as his son run towards him and Dewi is standing inside the house. He try to fake the smile and embrace the wrong decision that he had made 8 years ago. He embrace his son and come towards Dewi who is also smiling.

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Awarding Night of 2020 Ubung Film Festival. Live from Kenanga Hall, Ubung Convention Center, here are our hosts for tonight.

"Good evening everyone. Rahajeng wengi and Selamat Malam", says a beautiful woman that just come out of the backstage. She is accompanied by a handsome men in an elegant black suit.

"For tonight event, I am Putu Adhyaksa", says the handsome men. "With my beautiful partner, Indah Purnami, will accompany everyone through the end of the night."

IP: Exactly. It is the first edition for Ubung Film Festival to accepted non-Pemecutan films for it's Competitive section.
PA: Yes, and because of that we add new category for tonight.
IP: We have two actually.
PA: Oh, okay. Two new categories.
IP: So, for our first category of the night, we are calling Ni Luh Ayu Sukmawati

A background music accompany the coming of Ni Luh Ayu Sukmawati for the other end of the stage.

A video is playing on the grand screen behind Ni Luh Ayu Sukmawati. The narrator speak as the video depicted several scenes of competitive films that join the film festival.

Silver Clamp for Audience Award is a new category in Ubung Film Festival. The category is given for Competitive Films which gained the favorite throughout the screening days.

AS: And the award goes to...

The applauses are heard all over the hall. Three men are arise and heading towards the stage. They are Rory D Beck, Brenton A Tuff and Taylor C Dean. Ayu Sukmawati give the Clamp Statuette to Rory D Beck.

RB: Wow, unbelievable. This is very shocking. We are honored to received the award. Thank you for all the crew, the actors and everyone who involved in this film. Without you this film will not be as good as it is. Thank you.

Another applauses sounded all over the hall as the award recipients walk away from the stage into the backstage together with the presenter, Ni Luh Ayu Sukmawati.

For the second award, we are welcoming Wayan Raka Anggara.

A tall man in black suit come from the backstage and approaching the stand at one edge of the stage.

RA: Hello everyone! Good evening. Wow, it is a pleasure for me to be standing here and here I am representing the next award for Ubung Film Festival. Pemecutan Grand Prix Award.

The screen behind Wayan Raka Anggara is playing a video which depicted all Pemecutanian competitive entries in the film festival. The narrator also narrate about the award category.

Pemecutan Grand Prix Award is a new category that introduce in this edition of Ubung Film Festival. The award is given to the best film of Pemecutan which enters the competitive section of Ubung Film Festival.

RA: And the Pemecutan Grand Prix Award goes to...

The Maestro

A huge applauses can be heard all over the hall. On one corner of the audience, one man and a woman hug each other while smiling happily. They are Trisna Lasmi, The Maestro' co-screenwriter and Komang Raka, The Maestro's director. They are walking hand in hand approaching the stage. At the stage, Wayan Raka Anggara give the Clamp Statuette to Trisna Lasmi and congratulate her and Komang Raka.

TL: I'm speechless (she say while laughing). It's shocking indeed and wow. Thank you for the juries, for the audience. To all the crew that working so hard. And for Ubung Film Institute for this great event. Thank you!

PA: Precisely. There are two awards left. And both are the most prestigious award of the film festival.
IP: And for the next award we are welcoming Pemecutanian veteran actress, Lidya Herawati.

A music is playing in the background as a middle age woman with white satin gown approaching one of the podium at the stage.

LH: Good evening (she say with a wide smile). It's a great honor for me to be standing here and representing this next award. It is the second most prestigious award of the evening.

The screen behind once again shows all the competitive films in the film festival which accompany with the narrator voice.

The category of Grand Prix Award is awarded to competitive films of Ubung Film Festival. This category is given to the second best film by juries selection.

LH: Grand Prix Award goes to....

Rupa Kesamar

Screams can be heard in one part of the audience which accompanied by a loud applauses. Four men approaching the stage. They are Putu Sumadijaya, Harry Wijaya, Satya Bayu Perdana and Putu Oka Laksana. Lidya Herawati shake hands with all of them and give the Clamp Statuette to Satya Bayu Perdana.

SBP: Well, this is surprising. Wow, this is very unexpected.
(Putu Sumadijaya take over the podium)
PS: We are thanking to all the juries for the selection. To all the crew that have been working so hard for the film. We love you all and thank you.

A loud scream can be heard from the audience. Trisna Lasmi look very shock. She is hugged by Komang Raka. He escorted Trisna Lasmi who still look very shock. Everyone gives them a handshake to congratulate them as they are approaching the stage. Indah Purnami give the Clamp Statuette to Komang Raka while congratulate both him and Trisna Lasmi. Putu Adhyaksa also do the same.

KR: Okay, this is very shocking. We are never thought about this. So...thank you for all the crew, the producers who already work hard for the success of this film. To my wife and children who become my supporter. I love you all.
