I could put together a full bibliography if you like, as a reference for you and other players who decide their characters are familiar with her work.

Though Marc Nuya, our prime minister and one of the guests at the party, does not read her books, his eldest daughter loves her books about the old royalty of Brettenwald, and is looking forward to the book on Dietrijk II. The PM, who will be at the party, is looking forward to meeting her, and hopes to get an autograph to surprise his daughter with. In addition, Chloë Arborn has read a short story from this author, as well as a few essays and poems, and though she may not be a superfan like the PM’s daughter is, she still found that short story and the poems to be very entertaining, and she found the essays to be most interesting, though she disagreed with a number of points in one of them.

Good to know! Once I can post from something with a physical keyboard and the thunderstorm here quits so I don't have to worry about the power going out, I'll type a list of her works up.

Okay, here's a bibliography.
Novels:
Fashionably Late, 1998: A work of satire aimed at the aristocracy, initially self-published via Internet file-sharing during her first year in university. Print editions are nearly nonexistent and highly sought-after.
Death By Numbers, 1999: A government cryptographer is found shot in the head, and Inspector Daneel Tamlin has to unravel a complex web of lies, blackmail and sex while a cache of encoded documents holds the motivation behind the murder and the killer's identity. Her first commercial success.
The Killing Moon, 2000: Inspector Tamlin is reluctantly dragged away from a holiday on Corsica to solve a brutal double murder that occurred during a religious festival.
Empire, Vol. I, 2002: The start of an epic historical fiction series, detailing the reunification of the Empire under Dietrijk I after Brettenwald's first civil war during the early 1500s.
The Wolf Children, 2003: A young-adult fantasy novel about a brother and sister raised by a forest ranger.
Help Wanted, 2003: Another sendup of life in the upper classes featuring felonious servants, scheming baronets, and everything that could possibly go wrong going wrong.
And The Gods Laughed, 2004: The Inspector must contend with his own demons and a haunting cold case from the 1980s to piece together scant clues and bring a deranged serial killer to justice.
Black Ice, 2005: What seems like a simple car accident turns into a murder after sabotaged brake lines are discovered, and the Inspector must risk his career to investigate while suspended from field work pending an inquiry into the death of a colleague in the previous book.
Empire, Vol. II, 2009: The second book in the Empire series, this time focused on the period of peace & prosperity during the reigns of Dietrijk I and Mavris I & II from 1530 to 1656.
Don't Speak, 2011: A string of kidnappings leads the Inspector to a sex trafficking ring that threatens to expose people in high places and puts his life in danger. Decried by multiple conservative political organizations due to perceived "sickening violence and deeply disturbing sexual content" and almost got her dropped by her publisher, but praised by critics.
Forbidden Treasures, 2013: The theft of priceless artifacts from Brettenwald's most revered pagan temple and murder of its priest leads the Inspector into a tangled mess of deception and organized crime.
Maps & Legends, 2014: A young-adult coming of age retrospective novel set in 1970s Brettenwald, taking place in the rural north over a summer.
Ghost, 2016: Two identical murders bring back some unpleasant memories for the Inspector and lead him to a cliffhanger showdown with his most dangerous nemesis ever, who was presumed dead after an accident during transfer to another prison.
Alpha, 2018: The occupants and crew of a space station must fight for survival after a deadly alien virus is released.

She views love as an important part of one's life, but is of the opinion that it's possible to be perfectly happy in life without being in a relationship with someone. She has expressed doubts about whether modern movements for social justice and reform actually bring real progress, as she is of the opinion that such groups tend to be overly optimistic and not committed to long-term action. (Don't get me wrong, she is a progressive, but much more in the manner of a member of the Democratic Party than an actual, socialist, left-wing political party.)

Bingo. Chloë feels that social justice movements and reforms bring change (with the exception of certain unions, which she wishes to fix),albeit gradually. And while Chloë is not a socialist, she is a social democrat, similar to Bernie Sanders or Jacinda Ardern or Jagmeet Singh, except she is not a populist like Bernie and many of his allies.

As for love, I guess Chloë feels that love is necessary to be happy in life, though not necessarily romantic love: she feels that platonic or familial love is just as important if not more important, and that without it you cannot enjoy life to the best extent.

I have some questions regarding this role-play before I'd make a RSVP, I hope you don't mind me asking! What year is this set in, because that will determine who I could bring Character wise, and also, Is the current IRL Pandemic happening in you're world and will we be following Health Guild-lines.
