Andres Cesare will represent Britonisea for the nation's 33rd participation, with his song "Rewind".

Andres Cesare to represent his nation: 25 year old, Andres Cesare, will be travelling to Bovingdon for World Hit Festival 53.

Andres Cesare will represent Britonisea on home soil with his song, "Rewind" which addresses the feeling of loss. "Rewind" becomes the 33rd song to represent Britonisea at the World Hit Festival at the nation's seventh hosting.

Andres, a 24-year old, who hails from Doportedas is flying the flag for Britonisea in Bovingdon. He will take the short journey from his home in Pondsend, Doportedas City to the countryside town of Bovingdon where the 53rd World Hit Festival will be taking place. Andres says that when deciding whether to submit a song to the World Hit Festival, he looked at the Britonish male soloists at the World Hit Festival for inspiration. Britonish men at the Festival are very successful, especially the most recent occasions when Britonisea sent solo males.

Most recently, Michael Turner represented Britonisea at the 49th World Hit Festival with "Unguided", where he came 2nd - only missing out on a single point. The two times before World Hit Festival 49 Britonisea sent solo males to the World Hit Festival, they both won the Festival (Vhe Qi and Dean Boyst) and so he is hoping that the luck of the Britonish men will work with him going into the 53rd World Hit Festival.

His song is about losing someone, though its not clear how Andres has lost that person. He says that while the story is personal to him, he believes that the ambiguousity of the song means that more people can relate to it and mold it into their own meanings of the song.

We will find out on the 9th August where in the Grand Final Andres Cesare will perform, but until then, stream his song!

Head of Delegation, Tom Stardust, didn't write this song but him and his expert panel chose it as he thought that the song was in his words, "beautiful and needed to be heard, especially at a home World Hit Festival!". Tom hopes for a fantastic result in Bovingdon.

After a tough competition and a line-up unlike any other before it, Raiven Sareal did not expect to win The Voice Besenia by a long shot. But now she stands in front as the ultimate winner, presenting her song for the world at the 53rd World Hit Festival in Bovingdon, Britonisea! Written by Raiven herself, with collaborative help from the veteran Besenian producer Madame V - who has produced all but three of the country's entries. The team behind her is fresh and ready to go and make Besen proud, as new Head of Delegation, Romeo Foresime takes charge upfront. Staging will be directed by the spectacular Piere Monaselu, who is known for his work behind big stars, including the former Worldvision act OLA, for her headlining tour last summer.

Her song "Kingdom" speaks of overcoming the struggles that hold you back from your dreams and finding the inner strength to shape your life in the way that you want to lead it. The song means a lot to her, as an upcoming artist at the age of just 19 - coming from very little and building herself up to the place that she stands right now.

Yves de Beauvais to represent Normandy and Picardy with the summer hit "Chez Les Chtis"

It has been the smash hit of the summer in Normandy and Picardy, breaking record sales left, right and centre, and now it will be representing Normandy and Picardy in Bovingdon, Britonisea, home of the 53rd World Hit Festival. But, the important question is, will Yves de Beauvais be bringing the contest Chez Les Chtis? The song, with the offical English title for the contest "Come to Our Place", might sound a bit odd, especially to those who don't know what a Chti is. Luckily, we're here to tell you. "Chti" is a word which began life, and sometimes is still used, as a derogatory term for Picards; the term references the Picard dialect prononuciation of "C'est moi" ("Ch'ti mi") has in the last 20 years been reclaimed by especially young Picards and become a part of their identity, and in his song Yves is inviting people to visit the Picard's place to have a party. A proud expression of identity, the songs themes also obviously show the ambition of the Normand delegation, which continues to be headed by Simone Derrida, cultural television organiser for SRNP and a radio host with her own show on SRNP Radio 3, almost practically inviting people to choose the country to host the next contest. This perhaps is unsurprising given the extremely close 2nd place finish in Kalosia which saw the Normands come tantalisingly close in only the 2nd contest since Derrida took over, and it is also no secret that the broadcaster, SRNP, has already agreed plans with the city of Amiens, capital of Picardy, to host in the event of a Normand win. Whilst to some this might all appear rather desparate, it is clear the Normand broadcaster is in it to win it.

The news was revealed in a specially produced televised show, hosted by Simone Derrida herself, who has over the course of the past few contests become deeply associated with Normand participation in the contest, and also has become more well known amongst the wider public in both republics. This program, broadcast on SRNP1 and SRNP Actus, saw the first confirmation of both the artist and the song, and an interview with both previous Normand entrant and 2nd placer Hélène Pêcheur, who voiced her support for the entry and who it was also revealed will be involved in the staging (albeit this is likely to be much toned down from her self-immolation antics), and later Yves himself. Asked about what representing the Republics at WHF meant to him, Yves responded:

Obviously, this is such a massive thing, such a big contest, so the pressure really is on. I think, yeah, especially given our recent run of success, there really is a pressure on our shoulders to carry on, and maybe go one step further. I'm trying to keep thinking of this as a chance to sell myself, and I must say Picardy, to the world, as well as a bit of fun; I love performing, and to get to do it to such a large audience is such a great opportunity, and I just know I'm going to love the whole experience... I'm looking forward to working further with Hélène, yourself, and all the team to put on the best show we can, for the Republics and the world.

As promised, the Nightomese entry has been released today (19th July 2020) and we are happy to announce that we will be represented by Charlie Brookes who will sing his song, "In or Out?" live at the World Hit Festival 53 in Bovingdon, Britonisea. The strapping 24 year old lad, who hails from the capital of Nightom (Knightinghamshire), will travel to Britonisea early where he will plan his staging with a Britonish stage designer, Karl Lund-Gualtier, hoping that he can improve on Nightom's last place finish at the Grand Final of the 50th World Hit Festival. Nightom hasn't had much success at the World Hit Festival, but managed a 4th place finish in Izmedu for the 31st World Hit Festival with Matinée Schylestreake and her song, "I Will Not Concede", which then went on to win the WorldVision Song Contest in the same nation and despite nine other past entries at the World Hit Festival, Nightom finished in the top 10 once in Doportedas, but that was almost gauranteed given only 11 nations participated.

Nightom is hoping that Charlie can bring the Festival home to Knightinghamshire. Can he do it?
