The Alpeian Delegation to this ball had finally arrived at the Ballroom, composed of entirely one man, Prince Henri d'Alpes, Duke of Angoulême. Looking rather disgruntled, whether it be from his rather ornate blue dress uniform and the odd need to constantly readjust the sabre at his belt. Or perhaps the half-hour phone call with his wife discussing how and who exactly lost her tickets to Cartoonia was the cause of his disposition.

But now he had finally arrived, after deciding to walk to the ballroom, later then he should have. Looking over through the large assembly of already arrived guests. He recognized few of them, in fact one of the few he had met was the Great Khan of Skyhooked, the prince remembered enjoying him from when he met him at another ball quite a while back. But he would have to wait to meet and mingle, there was probably some welcoming committee anyway he had to meet with or be announced by anyways. He hoped to enjoy this ball that he came from so far to attend.

“Oh, and Keiunkan, do you know Cameron Boyce? He died exactly a year ago!” President Bottio tells Keiunkan. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go back to Crossoveria to make sure everything is okay over there.” And with that, President Ulysses Bottio officially leaves the Chad Dickson Theatre.

Milli pondered a brief moment at the question, she had been briefed but she actually didn't know a whole lot about Cartoonia either. "Honestly, I'm not entirely filled in. Noir, that is our Foreign Officer, she did fill me some details like the system of government, basic stuff anyone could look up in an encyclopedia really. Oh and apparently they recently acquired some new territory for their nation."

The moment has come, the incoming chancellor Nigel Uno has arrived at the back door of the ballroom, as well as the attorney general Conan Edogawa. Nigel alerts the staff of his coming, whom alert the supreme leader. After a few drinks of cola at the bar promptly went to the back to great the chancellor. Now was the time to introduce the world to the new government leadership.

“His highness, Prince Henri d’Alpes, Duke of Angouleme of the Alpes a Sepentrionali Imperium!”. He enters the room and is greeted by the supreme leader’s younger brother Shou. He bows in respect to him as it is tradition.

“Greetings” he starts, “on behalf of the supreme leader, welcome to Cartoonia. My brother is in the back talking with the guest of honor. I hope you are doing well”.

It is rather brief, mostly public knowledge, but if we act now, we might get a chance to speak with him." Allen motioned to the Chancellor and Attorney General arriving from the back.

Elizabeth smiled: "Yes, I 'eard they annexed territory from dier former colonizers. We assume de former colonizer es now a... subservient ally.. of Cartoonia." Elizabeth looked around, seeing President Ephriam Shrdlu of Eitoan, "I do need to speak to a few more guests, you all have a good time. Pleasure finally meeting you Milli. You are always welcome to de Federacion."

Being the first one to spot Nigel Uno, Marie BonAztire waves at Nigel Uno without making a peep. She knew that Uno wouldn’t be pleased if he saw her in the country because of the ACE and that whole animalfication mess this year. Vice President Aaliyah Alvise was especially scared of Uno, because she fears that he might get the Crossoveria party executed at first sight. So this is what she did; she coughed. Alvise had been tested positive for the coronavirus, and she figured that she could get BonAztire, her husband, and herself kicked out because she figured there were no coronavirus cases in Cartoonia.

Alvise: *coughs*

“What the flying flip, Aaliyah?!” Marie tells Aaliyah Alvise. “You’re going to get us kicked out.“
“That’s the whole point on what I’m trying to do!” Alvise replied. “There are no cases of coronavirus in Cartoonia, right?”
“Right.” Replies BonAztire.
“So I’m trying to start an outbreak where everyone gets sick in the mainland.” Alvise tells BonAztire. “Also, I’ve been tested positive for the coronavirus a week ago. I still have it.”
With that, she coughs again. And she does this repeatedly until someone finally coughed.

Seeing the person cough, BonAztire says, “I think we should go! Now!”
Alvise pulls the BonAztires back.
“Don’t go anywhere!” I’m enjoying this!” She says.
“But Ulysses is waiting for us outside.” BonAztire tells Alvise.

"Mmm mhm," Milli nodded in agreement "Indeed a good time to go. Then I shall not take any more of your time. It was great to meet you, I shall make an effort to travel to Mokastana soon enough. Maybe on the way home even, I can't imagine a stop off would hurt us none."

Keiunkan tilted his head. What an odd thing to suddenly say, he thought, unsure of how to respond beyond a nod. Before he could say anything more, though, his conversation partner made an abrupt exit, leaving Keiunkan. "Strange," he said to himself once Bottio was outside. "Of course. I do not think our hosts would quite enjoy a drunk woman."
"Whaddya mean?" She rose, only a little unsteady. "I'm fine, Keiunkan." She looked out into the crowd, smiling. "Ooh, were the kids always this cu—"
"She sounds awfully drunk." Sebastian sipped from his cocktail of gin and vodka. "Would've thought she'd be a paragon of virtue. Heuh. Colored me surprised."
"Dear Sebastian," Keiunkan said as he grabbed her glass, leaving it just out of her grasp as she lazily tried to grab it back, "she's just a lightweight, that's all."
"Sounds dangerous. What if something happens to a charge of hers?"
"I'll— I'll be fine, Sebby."

Elsewhere, Piedmont and Sekka had sat down, the Seigneur with a mountain of persillade and the Parfuhmerian with a tower of meat — a pair of gluttons. "You know," Sekka said, "maybe you should try something other than... persillade." He looked back at the various persillade-based dishes back in the buffet, many of which had been full, were now half-empty, and Sekka would have to do most of the dirty work of cleaning up the non-persillade parts of the meal. That explained the plates of mussels, oysters, and whatnot; all that remained of their sauces were little green streaks. Whatever. Sekka could eat it. It was meat, and that was all that mattered to him.

Shrdlu shook Supreme Leader Kudo's hand vigorously, though briefly, and smiled and bobbed his head slightly toward Mrs. Kudo. They exchanged pleasantries.

"So very pleased to be here in Ghallager at this important time, Mr. Supreme Leader. The people of Eitoan extend warm wishes for the success of the incoming administration."

They exchanged a bit of small talk, and then President Shrdlu moved on.

Finding Elizabeth Franshaw, the Mokan Foreign Minister a short distance away, President Shrdlu sauntered up to her, smiling pleasantly, and introduced himself.

Ah, Minister Franshaw, it is so good to see you here. And this must be your husband."

He offered a short, curt handshake to the Foreign Minister, and similarly to her husband, before continuing.

"It is refreshing to get away, for a short while, from continental affairs. I trust that your trip here was pleasant. Secretary Field has briefed me about events in the east. I know that this is a social event, but if you have any concerns that you want to bring to my attention about Eitoan policy in your region, I would be happy to hear them."

Outside the Chad Dickson Theater, Ulysses Bottio texts his wife telling her he’ll get home soon.
“Hopefully she responds.” Bottio says with a sigh as he puts his phone down.
A few moments later, Marie BonAztire and her husband, grabbing Vice President Alvise, runs away from the theater, hearing more coughing.
“What’s going on?” Bottio asks.
“A HUGE coughing mess in the Chad Dickson Theater!” Says Marie BonAztire. “Apparently Aaliyah Alvise here thought it would be a great idea to start an outbreak there.”
“Yup! The more cases, the better.” Says Alvise.
“What is wrong with you!” Bottio tells Alvise. “Our country is closed off entirely. No one can leave and no one can come in! This was supposed to prevent an outbreak here!”
“And look at you! You left for Italy and came back with the virus.” BonAztire yells. “Don’t you know you’re contagious? We’re at risk of getting sick!”
“Whatever!” Says Alvise.
“Let’s just get in the airplane.

At the Seymour Skinner airplane, Alvise’s temperature is checked and it reads 104.9.
“I’m just going to go in there.” Says Alvise.

Everyone in the Crossoverian party officially leaves Cartoonia.

Malik looked around the ballroom, he gazed all the different things and took in the different scents of the area. It was extraordinary and the cub was wagging his tail happily, making sure his sword and short swords were fastened tightly so they wouldn’t fall he was in the east wing of this place and checked out all the different paintings and statues he saw initially for a closer review.

Aither sighed as he chewed on a bamboo chute. It was yet another royal event, and even though he was a prince, he was never fond of all the pomp and circumstance that came with such titles. He was more interested in the politics that happened back home where Monarchism finally became a cemented staple, to think they were the ruling party but the idea of it had never been questioned till now was amazing. “Oh well..” he thought out loud as he walked with Malik, it was for sure a thing now, so no way to deny their royal bloodlines even if he tried.

“The delegation of Alegeharia!” The final delegation has arrived, making their way to the ballroom. As it was time for the chancellor to be announced, the only person there was the personal butler of The Supreme Leader, Mr. Sebastian Michaelis.

“Greetings, on behalf of the Supreme Leader and his family, we welcome you to Cartoonia” he says. “As you can see, the Supreme Leader is announcing the incoming chancellor. And he apologizes that he couldn’t be here to greet you”.

After the orchestra performed Murrsogsky’s piece. Supreme Leader Jimmy Kudo goes up on the podium in front of the orchestra. He quickly taps on the microphone to gather everyone’s attention.

“Attention everyone” Jimmy starts. “I want to sincerely thank you all for coming to this wonderful event. I am sure you are all dying to meet the new chancellor of Cartoonia. As it is tradition, we will have the outgoing chancellor say a few words before we introduce the new chancellor. So without further ado please welcome the outgoing chancellor, Ms. Erza Scarlet”. Erza makes her way to the stage.

“Thank you everyone” she starts. “I would personally like to welcome you to Cartoonia. And I also would like to thank all of you not just for coming, but for sticking with my administration for the past decade. My administration has seen many changes in the world since I took office. But our mission has remained the same throughout my tenure. I have strived to protect the Cartoon citizens and children around the world from the evils of slavery and tyranny. I have seen our nation reach more agreements and open more embassies under my administration. We have seen the standard of living rise above all other countries. My administration ushered new legislation that protect citizen’s rights and open up new possibilities to those who would not have been able to.

For all the good that I have seen, so too come the bad that happened. Excluding the current global crisis, my administration had to see the release of one of our longest held territories up near Canada. The Equestrian territories have been lost. But upon that came another threat, the Tower of Heaven, my childhood past, coming back, our dear friend across the sea, Vic Mignogna has been wronged by the politics of America, and we have received threats from a terrorist organization that not too long ago tried to invade us.

But my administration fought on. Though we lost territory, we fought to free those enslaved in the tower and defeated the enemy. We demanded justice for Vic, and we were close to cutting our ties with our former mother country, but we swiftly changed their attitudes and not only granted to give Vic justice, but in return gave us the state of Texas, adding it to our empire. We have defeated the terrorists on our Cartoon shore. This is the power of the Cartoon people at work, a spirit that will live on even when I leave. For I trust the new chancellor to be able to execute the office as efficiently as I have.

I once again thank you all for welcoming my administration and I to the international community with open arms for the past decade. I look forward to what is in the future for Cartoonia”.

Allen smiled, "I'd happily invite you to visit Wellovia on the way back to AHSCA, we're located right between Cartoonia and AHSCA after all. It isn't as romantic as my Foreign Minister's homeland," he says smiling at Elizabeth, "but the food is just as spicy, we have mountains and great plains stretching from sea all the way inland."

"President Shrdlu, it is truly an honor to finally meet you." Elizabeth said, shaking his hand before introducing her Marshite Husband, "and this is Raji Suraksha de Serain-Frenshaw." Raji gave a quick handshake and greeting before yielding back to his wife.

"Well, we can certainly plan for a more in depth diplomatic meeting for the future, but for now I think we can discuss the basics, such as what a proper trade agreement might look like. First, I did have a question about your Stevid in resettling Ordenite Christian refugees. I've only heard about such from the news. Previously, the PUF worked with Havensky to relocate refugees from Krasnova, so we are, of course, in favor of getting as many people as we can out of that regime's grasp."

Elizabeth, Allen and the rest of the Federal party listened to the speech, applauding at appropriate times and listening to the struggles of the Cartoonian people. It was certainly a trying time for the Cartoonian people, with an empire growing and shrinking over the course of years. Certainly it's history was something worth looking onto.

President Shrdlu smiled kindly, considered his gin and tonic for a moment, and spoke up.

"Ah, the Ordenite resettlement. This was a fine operation, honchoed by private groups, most adroitly. It was an initiative by our native Christians, a small minority in Eitoan, but concerned by developments in the Reich. They built support with other religious, fraternal and ethnic organizations, and persuaded one of our territorial Governors General to take an interest. I think the key was in conforming to Eitoan immigration requirements, particularly in selecting those skills needed in Caldwell Territory at the time. With their support, including the Governor General they were able to make their case with Immigration, and given permission to coordinate with the Stevid crown. There was some back and forth with Stevid, our Christians being largely Calvinist, something about Catholic vs. Calvinist doctrine. I don't really know what that was about, and it's not my business to know. In any event, it went quite smoothly and I'm glad to say the assimilation of the Ordenite refugees is going well."
