ALEZIMANIA WINNER!

Postby North Alezia » Fri Jun 12, 2020 2:00 am

Ladies and Gentlemen,
We bring this announcement to announce our Alezimania winner! Who will it be??

In 5th Place we have....
Image
LADY ALYOUB WITH DEAR WORLD (SCREW YOU ALL) !
She earned 42 international points and 41 national points, with the total of 83 points!
Lady Alyoub: HOW DARE YOU VOTE LAST FOR ME?! BOW TO ME! BOW TO ME! BOOOWWW TOO MEEEHHH!!!

In 4th Place we have....
Image
THE CODE WITH A-BA-TA-TSA!
They earned 53 international votes and 45 national votes, with the toal of 98 points!
Khaldam from The Code: Eh. It's fine, there will be always next year. Let's study more computer puns so we can enter next time.

In 3rd Place we have... Oh no... National odds and Elejamie, you're not gonna like this,
Image
LUNA THE CAT WITH MEOW LA MEOW!
She earned 45 international votes, and she actually WON the national vote on a tie with another person with 58 national vote. totalling 103 points. AND, don't be sad, Luna. You actually have a special gift because it's insane that you're a cat and still become the national favorite, you earn 2 year supply of CATFOOD! brought to you by "Meowzah" catfood brand.
Luna The Cat: Meow! (Yay! I lost, but I still got catfood!)

and now... Only 2 remains. Who will North Alezia send to Worldvision. Is it:
ANDI ROBI IDRIS NOVOGRODY with SINCE I FIRST SAW HER?
(Robi supporters shouts in support)

or
SAMARA AND IZDAR with MY LIFE FELLS APART BEFORE ME
(The duet also have their supporters shout)

well... We are not waiting any longer....
in 2nd place, with 56 international points, and the joint national winner with Luna the Cat with 58 points, totalling 114 points is.......

OH MY GOD, I AM FAIRLY SURPRISED!
Image
ANDI ROBI I.N. WITH SINCE I FIRST SAW HER IS THE RUNNER UP FOR ALEZIMANIA WVSC 83!
A. Robi I.N. : Well done, me! I'm gonna prepare a new song immediately when I got home for next time

And that means that
Image
SAMARA AND IZDAR with MY LIFE FELLS APART BEFORE ME WINS ALEZIMANIA WV 83 WITH ...
WHAT IN THE WHAT?!
62 INTERNATIONAL POINTS AND 56 NATIONAL POINTS TOTALLING 118 POINTS! THIS IS NEAR! REALLY NEAR! CONGRATULATIONS!

Why Izdar AND SAMARA: Basically I turned it to a duet, just to make it more beautiful, and also... I realized that it's better to make it a duet rather than a male soloist. And, they're siblings.

Izdar and Samara: YAAAYYY!!! (hugs eachother since they are siblings, after all) WE ARE GOING TO WV!

Thank you so much for watching the Alezimania results unveil. We hope that we can meet later in the next Alezimania with more surprises and more songs!

11:15 PM, American Time

Outside the White House, a wild group of angry protesters had gathered.

Don JJ Trummmp III had been the most racist president ever elected in These American States, but things really came to a head when Trummmp declared that all statues of Martin Luther King would be replaced by "slightly bigger statues of Jefferson Davis," his hero, and that a confederate flag would now be flown on the White House Lawn.

In an interview with FAUX news, Trummmp was asked "Should Blacks sit at the back of the bus again?" to which he replied that he did not ride buses, and therefore did not care where anyone sat.

Also, Trummmp had been too busy playing golf in recent weeks to address requests for a rapid response to the outbreak of COVID that was raging through the country, which caused a major spike in deaths of late.

The people had had enough of this and decided to burn down the White House to teach Trummmp a lesson.

Trummmp was immediately taken to his sports car and told to leave before the protesters got wind of his whereabouts.

As he sped through the darkness away from his burning former residence, a tune came to him....and that's when Trummmp had an idea....

****12 HOURS LATER*****

Hello World

For any clueless MORONS that don't know... i am DON JJ TRUMMMP III,

My People are sick
and also we're tired of losing at your silly little song contest!

People are rioting and looting and they are right to do so because they are just angry, okay?
They want to win! and for that reason, i have taken the liberty of writing our next entry MYSELF.
It's the best song you've ever seen and it is going to win, so don't come crying to us when you take fifty-teenth place, KISREAL.

Sandi Santini Wins the Ticket!

Following an exciting night of Kdam-WorldVision, Sandy Santini, 22 from Rakaphy, has won the right to represent Ertzei Kishim in the coming WorldVision Song Contest. One of the more controversial winners of recent past, she was ranked in the top 3 of all jurors apart from two... who ranked her last. Nevertheless, HARESHET and Sandi herself have confirmed her participation in the upcoming contest. The song which contains explicit lyrics, is about a young girl looking for excitement in her life. Sandi has confirmed two new pieces of information regarding her entry, firstly that the song will be in English and Hebrew, and secondly that the name of the song has been changed to "Electricity", which will be part of a larger rewriting and mixing of the song for the contest.

Sandi Santini - Hashmal! (Electricity)
Ella Lee Lahav - Zot Ani

It's ANAIE for Besen!

After weeks of speculation from fans and teasing from the broadcaster BAEN, who are taking over control from BSB at Worldvision, it is finally here. It can now be revealed that "Spericolata" will be sung by ANAIE at the 83rd Worldvision Song Contest, wherever that may be. The song is a completely new direction for the nation at the contest, and takes a more dark pop route, contrasting heavily from the previous few entries that have been sent. Hopefully, with new direction from a brand new broadcaster and the heavily backed performer coming into the contest - Besen can improve from what was a disastrous result at the 82nd contest.

World, stop voting now!

Semi Finals 1 & 2 for the Landa vy Polkopiya have both concluded, meaning that it's time to reveal who will be qualifying to the Grand Final for a chance to win one of Polkopia's biggest annual music award shows in the country. The winner of the Landa vy Polkopiya will have the opportunity to represent Polkopia at the Worldvision Song Contest - the largest music competition in the multiverse! This edition, the Landa vy Polkopiya drew interest from ten different nations, with each of them sending a team of music experts to vote on who was to qualify for the Grand Final. The two qualifying acts from each semi-final are decided in this matter, whereas the Wildcard spot is awarded to a non-qualifying entry that the Polkopian jury feels as if though it deserves a place in the Grand Final. With the four qualifiers and one Wildcard spot, there are to be five acts competing in the Grand Final, each of them vying for the top spot in the competition.

Semi Final 1 Votes:

The following qualifiers are the results from the international jury's votes from Elejamie, Besen, Beepee, Normandy & Picardy, and Izmedu:

Tune: Faouzia - Secrets

Tori Salvin - Never Again

And now my all synthwave NF is over. While I try and come up with a way to spin it into an IC thing (while making sure that everyone's votes are still represented because it'd be kind of unfair to say it was all my doing), click on the spoiler below to see the result as well as the IC artist/s and song title. Don't worry, I'll do an actual proper National Final for WV84 onwards, just think of this as more of an informal test run.

Nation Name: Elejamie
Official Broadcaster: ETV ONE
Song Title: 2AM
Artist(s) Name(s): Jon Navarez (ft. Lake Mizumi and Mason)

Tune: Kavinsky (ft. Lovefoxxx) - Nightcall

Committee Announcement

Hello everyone! So as you know we have just finished a very successful special edition, WorldVision: The Teams! In response to this, we asked your opinions on the future of the special editions in WorldVision. We thank everyone who responded and participated! This is our official response, in which we will be proposing two options to the community regarding the future of the special editions.

Firstly I would like to open with the overall Yes/No votes for the continuation of semi-regular special editions. The question and voting result was:

Do you support the idea of semi-regular "Special Editions" of the WorldVision Song Contest?
"Yes" - 83.3% / "No" - 13.7%

With this result we have taken this as a mandate that the desire for a semi-regular WorldVision Special series is strong, and so we will, regardless, be continuing the idea. Thus we are now asking the community to vote for one of two proposals. These proposals will deal with the implementation of semi-regular editions, specifically the rate at which they occur, and the regulations through which they will be fulfilled. In both case, the host will be internally decided by the committee.

Proposal 1
• Each special edition will take place every 5 editions (approximately every 30 weeks - around twice per year). This means between every edition ending in 4 and 5, and 9 and 0. For example, if this is adopted the next special edition will either take place between 84 and 85, or 89 and 90.

• Because of the frequency of the special editions in this format, each edition will have a minimum required number of contestants for it to take place (this will be determined by the committee before the sign-up deadline). If the minimum sign-ups aren't met, the special edition does not take place for that period.

• The committee will present to the community three themes for the upcoming WorldVision Special Edition. Each person will rank the themes from best to worst (with 2nd and 3rd places only used in the event of a tie). The theme with the most votes is the winner and will be the theme for that special edition.

-

Proposal 2
• Each special edition will take place every 10 editions (approximately every 60 weeks - just less than once per year). This means at the end of every "decade". For example, if this is adopted the next special edition will take place between WorldVision 89 and 90.

• There will be no minimum required nations to sign-up.

• The committee will present to the community three themes for the upcoming WorldVision Special Edition. Each person will rank the themes from best to worst (with 2nd and 3rd places only used in the event of a tie). The theme with the most votes is the winner and will be the theme for that special edition.

-

Please TG the committee with your preferred Special Edition proposal, either 1 or 2.
The deadline for voting is Monday 29th June.

I would have thought "semi-regular" would be, well... less frequent than that. I was thinking around 15-20 editions (2 years or so).

Can't there be an option for us to throw both of these out, especially if neither of these satisfy the Yes voters?
