The scenery, throughout different times of day and different days in general, eventually transitions into a bird view’s shot of the Palagrand Concert Hall in Ciûṡa dla Disaiṡa, Felsinia, giving a good look at Palagrand from all sides.

Image

Eventually, the footage fades inside the Palagrand Concert Hall, to show it completely empty. For contrast, this visual is intercut with footage from the past, when the inside of the Concert Hall was packed with people. The RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic and the audience will only be able to observe the contest through its’ broadcast, but not live.

Image

The lights go dim. The countdown begins to the start of the one-time Alternavision Song Contest. The competition is hosted by the Staziån Traṡmitänta Felsinaiṡa (STF), the broadcaster of Felsinia. For Sunrisian viewers, the competition is being broadcast by the Orīenâ Cránta Tránslīaciâ (OCT).

The 5-secound countdown concludes in silence over the absence of a live audience. After hitting 0, the lights go up as normal and 4 figures are shown standing on an empty stage. The audience at home is introduced to hosts of the Alternavision Song Contest, who, as already mentioned, are the only people on stage, standing at a proper distance from each other. The Concert Hall really appears deserted looking at the screen, unless the reduced number of behind the scenes crew handling the technical aspects of the contest and the broadcast itself, is considered.

Image

The hosts – Ulénpia Sabadén, Simån Mênguel, Żanån Ṡgarbazén and Vizänz Cianëi, introduce themselves to the viewers around the world. They explained today’s unconventional situation. The hosts briefly go over the history of the Sunalayavision Song Contest, seeing to how Alternavision was designed to honor that contest. Rules of the Sunalayavision Song Contest are also explained. The hosts then proceed to explain the difference between today’s one-time Alternavision and the annual Sunalayavision. The rules are similar enough. Since there were no past Alternavisions and are not planned to be in the future, this contest has no history to explain, so the hosts briefly go over how Alternavision came to be.

Voting Rules: Listen to each song and rate each song from 1 to 5 based on how much you liked it. 1 is the lowest point, while 5 is the highest point. Click on the song title to open the link to it. It should be in green.

When all was said and done, the hosts invited the local winner of the 65th Sunalayavision Song Contest – Bartôld Żâder, to perform his song “Fôla dal Tirabusån”, which brought Felsinia victory.

The hosts exited the empty stage and left it all for Bartôld Żâder.

The third debuting participant of the night, is West Zilveren Berg. One of the world’s newest countries, West Zilveren Berg has come out of the ashes of war and a struggle with impoverishment. It is the first such event that the country participates in since the foundation of its’ independent statehood, offering its’ unique perspective onto the arts, coming out of the unique situation that West Zilveren Berg has been in.

The final performance of the night comes from the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, which is represented by Svésâs Ârmiá (Army of Light), local mainstream superstars over in their homeland, with a song that was written for the 66th Sunalayavision Song Contest, but was repurposed to compete in the Alternavision Song Contest instead.

All performances are finished. The contest cuts to intermission. Eventually, the hosts step out onto the stage and present the Voting Table with Competing Countries, where Juries from the Competing Countries will be passing out votes to each other. The countries are presented in the order that their representatives performed in. The voting process will not necessarily match that order.

Up next, the hosts present the votes from the Jury of New Vesvai. There are no traditional cheers, because of the contest taking place during a RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic. There is no live audience. The hosts take note of that.
