Estella wouldn't work with Greta, she doesn't want to kill Julia, just beat her up emotionally, physically too if Julia challenges her, but even if it gets to that she wouldn't go further than what gives her another chance to beat her.

Estella is just looking for someone she can fight with to keep her sharp. If Greta stands in the way of that, Estella wouldn't be so merciful with her. That's not out of any kindness to Julia, she just doesn't want anyone cutting up her punching bag.
