"Welcome to Izmepisma. 9 songs have been chosen out of a field of hundreds waiting for their shot at Izmedu's WorldVision baton, but only one song can remain standing"

Jana Jusic's 3rd place finish came as a relief to the RTI team as well as a cause for celebration. The first regular edition of Izmepisma since its last iteration in WV76 was declared to be a success. Despite the hotly contested and incredibly tight results, RTI's WorldVision team were now confident that Jana truly was the right choice to have been the Izmeduan entrant. The channel's faith in attaining great results with the national final is once again strongly re-affirmed. Thus, RTI made the natural choice to again resume regular submissions for the national final for the upcoming 82nd WorldVision Song Contest.

With Izmepisma now solidly back in the public and music industry consciousness, there was a dramatic uptick of submissions from artists wanting their shot to represent Izmedu in WorldVision. 1,067 songs were sent from artists that range from current zeitgeists to those that are that wading into music for the first time. With so many entries and possible directions to work with, RTI had their work cut out for them trying to winnow down the field from the 1,000+ songs sent to them into a field of 18 to advance toward the live rounds. Difficult decisions were made, and RTI knew that more difficult cuts were going to be made in the televoting-only semi-finals. After three shows decided by Izmeduan televoters, we now have our grand finalists. 9 songs stand now stand before you, waiting for your votes.

To vote, simply send a TG to Izmedu with the format or send a Discord DM to Izmedu#6997 (and if you have a national final, let me know and I will vote for yours in return).

ATV RETRACTS WITHDRAWAL STATEMENT - "THE HEAD'S ACCOUNT WAS ALMOST CERTAINLY HACKED"

The head of ATV announced on the official ATV website that Amuaplye will not be withdrawing from the 82nd WorldVision Song Contest, and will, in fact, produce a bid for the contest.

The official website, above all of the news articles, has, in big bold letters: "WE ARE NOT WITHDRAWING", in response to the hacking of the head's account. According to a statement posted on the website, his account has been "successfully recovered" and "the tweet has been deleted".

The AIA has gotten into the case, and is offering a 500 Cento reward for anyone with information that might lead to the hacker. ATV and Twitter are also investigating the incident.
I'm a dude.
Also, call me Amuaplye, not Amuapyle, or Amu.

After countless unsuccessful attempts, STM (Serva Televisi Milejas) announced today that after collaborating with sponsors, that the tiny island nation of Milea (officially the Former Ekozian Colony of Milea) will be participating in the 82nd WorldVision Contest, making it the third time that the nation will have competed.

STM, the island nation's only television broadcaster also confirmed that Analisa, a well known singer on the island, will represent the country with her song One.

OFFICIAL SUBMISSION FOR THE HOSTING RIGHTS OF THE 82nd EDITION OF THE WORLDVISION SONG CONTEST

Ertzei Kishim has one of the longest and most active histories of any nation in the WorldVision Song Contest, haven won the world's premium music event five times in total. The recent uptick in interest regarding WorldVision, not seen since the days of the 20's and 30's have encouraged the broadcasting committee at HARESHET to submit an official bid to the WorldVision Committee for the hosting rights to the 82nd edition of the WorldVision Song Contest. The first, and only time Ertzei Kishim hosted the contest was in the 26th edition, in Shatilaurchev (no longer considered as part of Kishraeli territory and largely abandoned). Widely regarded as a successful hosting, the edition following Ertzei Kishim earned their first ever victory in the contest, and began a long tradition of supporting, promoting and disseminating the values and beliefs of the contest with every participation.

The bid at hand will detail the chosen host city, the venue, stage, hosts and postcard concepts for consideration by the WorldVision Committee of competing nations. These have been meticulously chosen with the thought of providing an excellent contest, caring for the thousands of fans who will be flocking to the country during the 'WorldVision Season', and ensuring the commercial success of the contest as a whole. In light of this last point, the government of the Confederation of Ertzei Kishim has, for the period of the contest dates, lifted Law S382-B on public advertisement. This will allow the state broadcaster to accept domestic and international finance in exchange for a degree of advertisement throughout the show, the degree to which will be dictated according to the fee. The negotiations of such bids will be negotiated by the Kishraeli state through the national broadcaster HARESHET. Kishraeli companies will be given priority. All funding acquired will be used for the contest, surplus will be taken by the government of the Confederation of Ertzei Kishim. We hope you enjoy the bid dear reader, and you will be excited to come and visit our beautiful nation for the 82nd WorldVision Song Contest.

Top Left Clockwise: Tiferet Mountain Beach Coastline, Downtown Tiferet, Tel-Din, The Queen Protector Statue

Tiferet, the capital of Ertzei Kishim will be the nominated city for the host bid. As the nation's capital it is the nation's legislative and financial capital, as well as sharing the title of cultural capital with Rakaphy (the nation's largest city) and Shapmangat (the nation's oldest city). As is expected an internal bidding committee was established for the contest which received four individual bids and one joint bid. Alongside the bid from Tiferet, both Rakaphy and Shapmangat submitted individual bids to be considered. Furthermore, the fourth largest city in Ertzei Kishim, Benbarshe also submitted a bid for consideration. Finally, the committee received a joint bid from Djati and Pervaneh. The bids from Tiferet and Rakaphy entered the final round, where the bid from Tiferet won by a 20-14 majority.

Previously a smaller fishing town, Tiferet was revitalised in the 50's because of its advantageous geographical location including a natural harbour and excellent climate. In 2015 it was made the nation's capital, and since has seen exponential growth, today home to around 732,000 inhabitants. The city is home to a mixed Arab, Circassian and Jewish population, meaning you will hear a large number of languages being spoken on the streets. Do not fear however! While each community has their own language, Hebrew is the lingua franca between them, meaning Hebrew speakers need not worry. Don't speak Hebrew? Not a bother, as around 63% of the population are considered 'proficient' in speaking English as an additional language - this is especially true in the larger cities of Ertzei Kishim.

As the largest metropolitan area in Ertzei Kishim, the city serves as a hub for innovation, culture and creativity. “Find Your Frequency” is more than just a slogan. With the city’s beautiful beaches, diverse cultural scene, top-notch cuisine, and vibrant nightlife, there’s always something to see and do here, and there's always going to be a place where some believes they fit in. The city serves as a meeting point between old and new, reflecting tradition and history while embracing innovation, pluralism and diversity. Here you can be whoever you want to be - whether you’re a party-goer, culture enthusiast, or just like to chill - Tiferet has a place for you.

During the time period of the contest, the public transport system has been expanded to accommodate the increase in visitor numbers, however most people will find the cheap and efficient public transport sufficient. The city is little more than a 30 minute drive from the International Airport at Loud, meaning travelling to and from is efficient and easy. The government has enacted temporary laws to prevent price gouging as visitors come to stay (most Kishraelis do not pay rent, however international visitors must pay and sometimes this prices can be expensive, this is why such laws have been enacted).

Image

We have a little secret... the contest won't really be hosted in Tiferet. In fact, the contest venue will be held 30 minutes drive south, equidistant between Tiferet and Rakaphy. The newly-built venue is located in a new development called מושב טומביי (Moshav Tumanbey), named after one of Ertzei Kishim's old judges. Currently the population is a miniscule 17,500, however a focus on development make it the perfect place to hold the contest - indeed the intention of the government when building the new site was to create a physical link between the two largest cities in the region. If fans and staff are based in Moshav Tumanbey, they will have the luxury of being only a car journey away from not only Tiferet and Rakaphy but als Shapmangat and Djati, meaning the whole country would be able to be explored. You do not however have to rely on taxis. From Moshav Tumanbey there are direct train lines to all four of the big mainland cities as well as more indirect buslines. Furthermore, visitors can take the 3 hour ferry from Moshav Tumanbey to Benbarsheh and visit an even more unique part of Ertzei Kishim which has been separated from the Kishraeli mainland. Moshav Tumanbey is also much closer to the airport than either of the big cities, making it a perfect resting place.

The specific venue is the Zirah Leumit (National Arena), recently finished as a building project earlier in the year, it is currently being offered as a complete indoor arena for the contest before it transitions into a more general indoor entertainment venue for both concerts and sports. For now however, it is geared towards a very specific style of concert - that being the WorldVision Song Contest. The arena as set up for the WorldVision Song Contest can accommodate around 7,800 people, distributed as 1000 standing and 6,800 seated. There is also a substantial green room space for the numerous competing acts. Alongside the construction of the arena, a harbour, park and various living quarters have been built. The total project cost around ₪1.45 billion (approx $400m) and the government are keen for it to be used. Thus, both Moshav Tumanbey as well as the city of Tiferet are perfect destinations to stay while visiting.

Of course the most important part of any candidate city bid is the stage upon which we will meet the artists and their songs. The Kishraeli bid has pushed the boat out in terms of design and innovation. We are certain that no WorldVision stage has ever been quite like the one presented here. Designed by artist, and contest creative director Dan Ben-Tzvi, the stage pushes the boundaries of accepted stage design, particularly in the WorldVision Song Contest. The sprawling design plays with elevation, texture and depth, giving broadcasters a challenging, yet visually thrilling task to present their stage show. Whereas previously there has been a reliance on a frontal facing performance with a backing LED, this stage will change that formula. Acts will now have to utilise a 360 space, without a backing LED screen, but rather a floor, powered by the most advanced projection technology. This technology allows for any beamed image not to lose clarity of texture as it travels over the different elevations and edges of the stage. Furthermore, the stage floor also has a back-up option of producing LED effects, to the same quality as the projection. This not only works as a back up in the event of any of the projections not fulfilling their desired effect, but allows for dynamic combinations between the two, adding greater depth to the performance. While the stage poses creative challenge, it also presents greater opportunity. The necessity of creating a truly 360 degree act allows for an expanded performance team (budget permitting). The stage can accommodate more people than any previous stage, due to its vast size. This will make the show truly magnificent as we expect countries to increase their production value as a result. The stage also has virtual reality and holographic capacities too, allowing for on-screen tricks of the eye for audiences at home.

The camera team numbers 35, which includes remote operators of 8 different overhead cameras, on stage shots, panning in and out, and shots that cut the line between on stage realism and overhead maximalism. In short: all shots are possible with the expanded team at your disposal. Spark/fire machines, spotlights and steam blasters are spaced regimented around the outer rim of the stage. The distance between this outer rim and the stage proper will be sunken down slightly and contain the standing audience, as well as the areas near the two ramps to enter and exit the stage. This will allow approximately 1000 fans to get in on the action and party the night away. Artists are invited to use the raised parts of the stage to interact with fans, project their image and elevate themselves higher for maximum effect. With the Parade of Nations which will occur as part of the opening act, the performers will descend from one ramp each, meaning two acts enter at the same time. They will then travel towards the other side of the stage, before exiting to the left side of the ascending ramp. Each of these exits will lead directly to the greenroom. We hope you are excited as we are to use this fabulous stage!

Image

HAREHSET's team for the contest is filled with experience, creativity and innovation. The team were selected by an internal committee to provide the best and most exciting contest. Most people will be concerned about hosts. We will have a team of two hosts presenting the main show, with a green room host who will ALSO be hosting the points section of the show. The face of the teams are as follows (top left, clockwise):

Amir Haraković: As director of HARESHET, he will oversee the Kishraeli bid and hopeful execution of the contest. Bringing 35 years of public broadcasting service to the contest, this show is sure to be well organised, efficient and cost-effective. A key tenant of Haraković's hosting is a green aspect. The stage design will be recycled, as has most of the metal (reclaimed and repurposed). Following the contest, Haraković will be stepping aside as director general, and so the contest will be both a passion project, and a final farewell for a much appreciated public servant.

Maya Hafouzi & Ahmed Shakekani: Husband and wife journalistic team Maya Hafouzi & Ahmed Shakekani present their popular evening talk/news show "The Report" (הדוח) every night at 6:30pm. They have been chosen for their charming on-screen chemistry, personable manner and presenting abilities. They take the reins of the contest with a combined 23 years of public front-facing journalistic experience.

Dan Ben-Tzvi: Contest creative director Dan Ben Tzvi has one of the most important of the front facing jobs. Because he is head of Creativity, he has not only designed this stage (as an interior architect by trade), but also oversees branding, campaigning and the slogan for the contest. With his wealth of experience in hosting many international cultural events in Ertzei Kishim, Ben-Tzvi is the man for the job, and was the first on HARESHET's list. Ben-Tzvi also boasts a large portfolio of interior architecture, which you can see in his gallery in Tiferet.

Stefania Oudeh: Kishraeli singer Stefania Oudeh will be the green room host as well as the host for the points presenting portion of the contest. As one of Kishrael's premium Arab stars, she is a household name within the country, as well across Arab communities throughout the world. As a singer, she knows what the contestant's will be feeling, how they'll be preparing and what the night will be like. She will bring her fun personality to the green room, where we will be presenting some interesting facts, interviews and comments about the contest at hand.

Image
Postcard is from Ertzei Kishim's 12-point recipient in WV81, as the bid had been prepared before the announcement of the winner

The postcards for this edition will be simplistic. The symbol of the contest is the lines that you see on the screen. Combined with the slogan "Find Your Frequency", the imagery combines well to create the image of waves, frequencies and vibrations. We believe everyone can find their frequency in Tiferet, whether that be through the music of the contest or through the tourist experience of visiting our city. The postcard layout is as follows, the name of the nation, song and singer will be displayed on the postcard. The frequency waves in the background will be coloured in the nations three principles colours, with a soft hue added to the background (also from the nation's colours) to add a warmth and depth to the postcard.

Image
(OOC: I am aware 'compañero' is masculine in Spanish but in MY country we use it as gender neutral so shut up?)

We imagine many of you have never had the opportunity to visit our beautiful country, so we compiled a short list of information before you come. Of course this can't truly prepare you for what you will find come your arrival to Ertzei Kishim, but we are certain you will have fun. Ertzei Kishim is a melting pot of diversity, culture, ethnicity and language. We have a rich history mixed with different rulers, cultures and religions, but maintain a fiercely secular society today, meaning all people should feel welcome without the burden of conforming to an oppressive overbearing host culture. We can only express how excited we are to have the chance to bring the contest back to Ertzei Kishim after so many years. If you visited our nation then, you'll be amazed at how we've grown. And if you're a regular visitor to Ertzei Kishim, we want you to come back now as part of our international family.

Thank you for reading and considering our bid for the 82nd WorldVision Song Contest

תודה שקראתם ושהתחשבתם במכרזנו ל82 וורלדוויזיון סונג קונטסט

Last edition of Worldvision marked another Top-10 finish for Polkopia and the PNB opted to continue the tradition of using a National Final in order to determine Polkopia's entrant for the next edition of the contest. It should come as a surprise to no one that this National Final will once again take place in the form of the Landa vy Polkopiya, which has served as the National Final for Polkopia for decades and is one of Polkopia's longest-running TV shows. The contest dates back to 1972, where the winner of the competition received a cash price and was flown to Peeto in order to record more tracks with an established Polkopian record label. Of course, times in Polkopia are much different now, and apart from exposure on several media platforms, the winner of the Landa vy Polkopiya typically has the opportunity to represent Polkopia in the Worldvision Song Contest.

The lineup for this edition of the Landa vy Polkopiya has been revealed! As always, the PNB is calling on international juries to submit their votes before the conclusion of the semi-finals, and this result will be mixed with a televote in a 50/50 format in order to calculate the overall winner of the competition. The list of competing entries can be found below:

Following a week-long poll on the their website, though sadly the poll was only open to Elejamian residents, ETV has announced that Elejamie will be represented at the 82nd WorldVision Song Contest by Aurora Cassidy, who will be performing her song Since I Lost Him, a throwback to 80s Japanese city pop. They also announce that it'll be the first Elejamian entry to use an orchestra, with Chris Basset conducting the performance in a yet to be determined nation.
