The Winter Ball (OOC SIGN UPS CLOSED)

[Kuronami]

Kuronami is in the Southern Hemisphere and thus has winter as the Northern goes into summer. Okay so it's not quite winter/summer yet in terms of IRL calendar goes but who's really keeping track at the end of the day ;) Don't worry too much about COVID-19 even if you are RPing that ongoing situation, assume it's safe for you to travel and be in attendance and there are no cases in Kuronami. The thread will be set in the not to distant future of June but will start when we have a few apps in.

Dear Esteemed Kings, Rulers, Magistrates and all those of high order and society,

I wish to cordially invite you to Kuronami's annual winter ball at the Royal Palace on Number One Verona Avenue in Caloris on the evening of 20 June 2020. A formal event which there will be time to mingle, dance and dine with the highest of society of Kuronami, including yours truly, Empress Eylstadt and members of my family. The palace ball room is quite accommodating to a large crowd but as such we'll have overflow areas to accommodate extra guests as best we can but with that in mind it is asked you be mindful of guests you intend to bring along. I've talked over with my Chief of Security and as such we feel there will be no need for extra security to bring along so rest easy and have your guards remain at your arrival port, place of stay or simply at home.

While this is a formal "black tie" or "white tie" event we still welcome a traditional outfit from your nation (e.g. Gensai, Hanbok, Kimono, Sari, Military Dress etc.) just remember this a winter function and you can expect cold weather if you have further desires to see more of the city or Kuronami in general. Beyond that there's not much more to add other than I hope I will see many visitors.

Oooh lots to get through but I think I did okay here! I sort of am pushing people along just so I have time to welcome new guests and arrivals but you can still exchange a few pleasantries and do whatever else you feel is needed to properly greet the Empress and write the assume reaction, safe to say Fine will be thrilled for however you speak with her assuming it's positive anyway but she was plenty friendly. Beyond that she will be roming the floor soon enough and I have other lords and ladies to interact with.
