The IC Thread is open!

Postby Britonisea » Mon Apr 06, 2020 4:00 pm

Thank you to the overwhelming majority of those who voted Boschke as their host for the 81st WorldVision Song Contest! This has been planned months and months in advance (graphics and idea-wise) and though I had stuff like WHF and VM to host, I made sure that I was always in the right mind to host WV81. I hope you all enjoy #Boschke81!

I can now announce that the IC Thread is open for entries!

I am sincerely asking that if I you have completed your entry, please DM me on discord or send me a quick telegram so I can complete your postcard. Hopefully, all postcards will be ready for the listenalong where I will reveal them one by one as each nation's tune plays. And yeah, as I said on my bid, be as involved as you can, try and do some extra RP and post it - even if its small!

Those who are doing the Junterapten Pre-Party RP, I will send around questions and they'll be shown during the intermissions throughout the shows. I will also be doing a "Chain of Hugs" type thing too, so get some knowledge on the other 13 acts in the Pre-Party and think about which of the acts you'd like to send a hug to!

It should all work out in the end. Anyway, you have two weeks to submit your entry...okay bye & enjoy the festivities.

Also yeah that Opening Act is yet to be completed...and the Parade of Nations.

Today, STE (Servå Televisie Ekoeses) announced the next period of programming for the channel including brand new concepts and series to debut on the television network. Regarding entertainment and music, Head of Programming Ilsa Grønborg announced "Sjårnafestivalen". The festival will bare similarities to previous concepts on the channel and will, according to Grønborg, serve as the Ekozian national selection format for the 82nd WorldVision Song Contest, thus confirming that Ekoz will continue to participate in the contest after returning this edition. Furthermore, Ekoz debuted fifty editions previous in WorldVision 32, although the nation has had a long hiatus from the contest.

Grønberg continued by saying "to commemorate Ekoz's debut in the contest fifty editions ago, STE has announced that we will be accepting international artists, songwriters and composers to participate within the debut edition of Sjårnafestivalen alongside Ekozian artists alike." Major record labels such as Sony Music Ekoz, Warner Music EZ and BMG Ekoz have confirmed that they intend to send participant(s) to Sjårnafestivalen, of which huge stars such as Yohanna van Umsaak are represented by.

It has been confirmed that Alfaans van Ousterbro will host the festival next month. Alfaans is a regular on Ekozian television, hosting his own late-night weekly show on Friday evenings "Natt med Alfaans (Late with Alfaans)", and hosted previous national selection formats, as well as the WorldVision Song Contest itself.

STE will be releasing more information regarding Sjårnafestivalen closer to its debut next month, however to find more information on the Ekozian participation in this edition's contest in Borsche, Britonisea visit ste.ez/worldvision

Committee Announcement

Unfortunately the entry from Axuva has been banned for exceeding the maximum lyrical similarity and is considered plagiarism.

All nations that have voted for Axuva must change their votes. Nations cannot vote for Axuva for this edition.

This does not include the puppet Antenovaria, which can still be voted for.
