"No-no, I'm fine." She helped her with some of the bags scattered around. "I've been through worse. I'm Momiji by the way. I didn't really talk to anyone on the bus ride. "Thanks," she said, breathing a sigh of relief, falling on someone was already embarrassing enough as it was without hurting them in the process.
"I'm suuentliok," she told her before pointing in Tarin's direction, "That's Tarin. I guess seven feet tall and 4 bags after being squeezed tightly on a bus is just not a good idea. I'm from Velstrania by the way, how about you?"

"Good to meet you, Suuentliok. I'm from AHSCA, or some just call it the UIS for short. But I've been here a couple months before the school term would start so I could 'acclimate' i guess you could say."

Ehtelë had been one of the first people in the lobby followed by a woman he recognized from the bus. He had been particularly amused at her concentration to not look regretful when the Camolonean recited a lengthy oath. What had she said her name was? He thought but couldn't remember, however he did recall she said that she hailed from the Union of Cybernetic Socialist Republics.

He knew little of these Cybernetic Socialist Republics, save that - like his own country - they seemed rather fond of long names and that they did not have a rigid social hierarchy like his own, though few did. What was a Cybernetic Socialist Republic, anyway? Ehtelë surmised it must be some form of technocracy adapted for contemporary progress or the like.

"Greetings and salutations," He said to her with a polite, formal bow at the waist his clasped together before him. His spoke with a soft voice and words accented with the melodic rhythm typical to his people, the Noldori, "Elen síla lúmenn' omentielvo." He stated the traditional greeting in his native Quenya, with another bow yet not so formal, then re-iterating in English, "A star shines at the hour of out meeting. I am called Ehtelë Arvanion and I wish to extend a gesture of friendship to you. I do hope that, generally, your journey from home was a pleasant one. Yes?"

As Verity atood of the side of the lobby, her suitcases placed on the ground but her backpack on, she was approached by an asian student she'd seen on the bus but noticed that he was quiet the entire ride.

He introduced himself to her as Ehtelë Arvanion, extended 'a gesture of friendship' and inquired about her trip. While one couldn't be absolutely sure, it was a fair bet by his mannerisms, accent and language that he had originated somewhere in asia, though he notably did not inform her of the country he was from before inquiring about her own journey. Nonetheless, she would answer:

"My name is Verity Nicholas, from the Union of Cybernetic Socialist Republics, my journey from home was, in fact, pleasant, thank you. May I ask where you're from?"

"The modern world?" Suuentliok asked, a quizzical expression on her face, "What's it like back home? Velstrania is ruled by a church which regularly engages in crusades...and that's not just like a crackdown on things they don't like...that's 30 legions going 'liberating' somewhere, so I doubt anything you could say could shock me."

Emmanuelle chose not to pay too much attention to what she saw as his euphemistic comment about locks and keys, wondering who exactly this boy was to tell her that he was confident that he knew what she wanted within seconds of their first conversation. There was a confidence and cheek to it she respected, having came from a country where the right to say whatever you wanted was treasured. And he certainly had a valid point in questioning where she might get her kicks in this foreign country, for that was something she hadn't yet figured out. All she knew so far was that this place was not going to be the libertarian paradise that home was, already she was familiar with the oppressive (in her mind) age restrictions on tobacco and alcohol they had here. If they were strict with those kind of things, this might even be the kind of socially backwards country that still criminalised cannabis, and it made Emmanuelle realise getting a self-proclaimed non-conformist on her side would be a good start to life here in Folaisia. She approached him a little closer, suitcase still trailing behind her.

"That sounds more like what you want." she replied, trying to be insightful whilst playfully accusing him of projection. "Me personally, I like to know someone's name before discussing extra-curricular activities with them."

Names. Lechle was never good with them. In his hometown, most names he'd forget by the day's end. He's always kept a notepad for writing down exactly that, complimented with a two-liner description of the person in question. He wondered what he'd write for this girl.

"You're right. Chivalry is dead, isn't it? The name's Lechle. Lay-ish-la. Though my Union Street friends called me 'Detlef'. Whichever you prefer."

Lay-ish-la cleared his throat to show a more presentable side of himself.

Emmanuelle was going to introduce herself to Lechle, whose name she would remember how to say instead of resorting to his nickname, when a tall boy with light brown skin came over and started threatening him, acting as if Emmanuelle had suddenly been in great danger over one slightly provocative comment. She looked at him with a mixture of disdain and puzzlement, wondering if the taller boy had just misunderstood the situation or was in fact actually mental.

"Hey, there's only one person picking a fight here and that would be you." she snapped at him, hoping he would come to his senses. "What's your problem?"

Listening to the guy Athelhart responded "Recon, definitely an important aspect of the army. As for my father yes indeed, he has spent a decent chunk of time working in the Electrician's Guild before becoming a journeyman and is now a master electrician. He had some other job offers for his other skills but they would have taken him from Stanstir and he preferred to stay in the town the Kin-Cenfrith's have been in since the 11th century. I'm Athelhart Kin-Cenfrith by the way. Your name?" He said answering the guy's questions as the rest of the people around them were milling about whatever they were doing, noticing that one of the other guys came stumbling out of the bus' bathroom. Just from a quick observation Athelhart inwardly sighed, he either was incredibly clumsy or dealing with something and he knew that if they lived close to one another then it would probably become his problem eventually.

While people watching was indeed interesting at times when the guy he was talking to said something about the word Muhammadan being insult which just confused Athelhart. "Wait, wait." He said turning back to the guy. "Muhammadan is an insult? Ain't you a follower of Muhammad though?" He hadn't heard about something like that back home and almost immediately after he asked that questioned he noticed that the bus pulled up to what must be where they would be staying for their time here. "Let's talk about this later once we are settled down. Good?" He asked the guy as he was getting up and glanced over at Verity "It was a pleasure to meet you Verity and I hope to talk to you some more in the future." Before he made his way back to his original seat to grab his cloak and begin gently pushing his way forward with the customary polite, 'excuse me, pardon me' as he got off the bus.

"Thank you ma'am for driving us." He said as he got to the bus driver, returning her smile with roughly the same amount of sincerity. Getting off the bus he actually took in the view of the hostel and while it was not an unsightly building it was definitely a really different building than what he was used to. Well hopefully the inside was nice, that really was the most important thing in the long run due to the fact they were staying here for the entire school year.

Athelhart was looking through the luggage from his place on the curb and asked the assistants "You lot need any help unloading things? I think my stuff is further inside." Both as a truth as it looked like his luggage was indeed covered up by other luggage and as an excuse to help them out if they needed it. He also noticed that there was a lass walking over to the bus around the age of himself and most of the rest of the other kids still on the bus. As usual Athelhart knew he stuck out in his normal attire but called out to the lass anyways "Ey, you a part of our merry band of strangers?"

“Glad to heat he’s a master at his craft.I could tell you came from good stock.
You know a lot about military stuff don’t you?”

Khalid Khan still stood in the corridors of the lobby, waiting for his adverse to respond.

"Hey, there's only one person picking a fight here and that would be you." she snapped at him, hoping he would come to his senses. "What's your problem?"

Okay. Suddenly the night just good a lot more intoxicating. Lechle looked around for a chaperone but only saw other, older, taller students beginning to turn their heads.

Les Etats Connuriste wrote:"Hey, there's only one person picking a fight here and that would be you." she snapped at him, hoping he would come to his senses. "What's your problem?"

Lechle tried to deflect the situation with a smug grin and a sarcastic tone.

"Alright, alright my lady, let's relax. This guy does Turkish Oil Wrestling, I don't think I can defend you, let alone myself from a man like that."

He turned to face the taller student, backing away slowly.

"Thank you sir. You've asserted nobody respects women more then you, that I can concede."

Champagne Socialist Sharifistan wrote:“I thought you said you weren’t interested. That you would only want to do that stuff when you knew him first.”

Lechle looked back at the brunette again, with a comedic tone.

"Ah, okay. Well would you look at that, he read my mind, word for word. I 'suppose I don't pique your interest?"

Emmanuelle had to put in a lot of effort to resist the urge to scoff at Khalid or say something that might reignite the tension in the situation. Not that she would have really trusted the taller boy to understand exactly what she meant if she did say something. It was clear that he had difficulty interpreting the conversation she and Lechle had been having to come to the conclusions that he had, and in fact it was sort of rude for him to listen so closely to it. In addition, it appeared that Lechle's tone had been lost on him as well, so that seemed to back up the theory.

"Yeah, I don't need your help." she clarified for him, adopting a softer tone than the one she had just snapped at him with seconds earlier. "Now if you don't mind, I've got a conversation I want to continue." she added, looking back across to Lechle as she finished her sentence, hoping it would prompt Khalid to leave them alone before he could accuse them of any more heinous crimes.

He left them alone and went back to talking to Athelhart.
“So, my friend, I never got your name.”

"Think fast", Lechle wasted time thinking. It was his responsibility now to determine whether this princess of sarcasm was a stuck-up prestigious princess just like everyone else, or bad company. Anyone worthy of 'bad company' was 'good company' in his books, and Lechle prided himself on recognising 'bad people'.

He chuckled, struck up a modest pose, and pushed his hand through his disheveled black hair, trying to act cool.

"'Cause I don't think you're here for an education. You look like you get enough of that at home."

Oh God, what if this girl is royalty. She probably never worked a 9-to-5 a day in her life. To be fair, neither has he. Reliably.

"... And I think I know you want you want, and that I have the 'keys' to your 'locks'. Think about it, where else are you going to go to get your kicks at the most prestigious private Catholic school in the country? From these conformists?"

Lechle wasn't a betting man, but here he was betting on a convict for victimless crimes and a knack for a good time.

Hearing it, Khalid Ali walked towards the “scumbag”, accompanied by his loyal manservant.

“Hey! Leave that girl the hell alone, ok? Rapist bastard!”

After helping Athelhart, Saoirse greeted him and suggested for him to start heading to the lobby. Adjusting her hair, she stood watching the students grabbing their luggage, looming with an invisible aura, until a recent outburst from what seems to be Khalid was audible enough to make her turn her head suddenly. Saoirse observed the commotion between Khalid, Lechle and Emmanuelle, staring for a little while with a repressed vexation. She then turned to Alpin who glanced at her with plausible suggestion, and shrugged it off before walking to the three.

"Is there a problem over here," she asked.
The Scottish kingdom in North America.

Lechle had his fair share of uncomfortable situations roaming the more desolate and lawless places in home-city, but this was probably a new record for the quickest he could've been jumped. He tried to hide his tension but there was no questioning he wouldn't be walking away from a street match with the senior. On one hand he could count the actual dangerous situations he's gotten himself caught in, but he's glad he didn't have to add another.

Les Etats Connuriste wrote:"Yeah, I don't need your help." she clarified for him, adopting a softer tone than the one she had just snapped at him with seconds earlier. Lechle did his best to perpetuate his casual aura again. He hoped that hanging out with a girl who wasn't as easily as aggravated as the other students here threatened to be would mean he wouldn't keep getting caught in impromptu fist fights. This girl really is bad company.

"What on Earth are you doing?"

He said jokingly, trying to salvage the situation.

"That's probably the best you could ever do and you blew it. Where else are you gonna find a Turkish MMA Oil Fighter? Now you'll have to settle for me."

"Uh, yes actually. We were making our way to the lobby but encountered a problem. I was the captain of the flag football team in my home school, and just before we left, I pulled a muscle in my arm. I was hoping someone could help me haul my big heavy black suitcase over there."

He pointed at the roller-suitcase he left in the crowd, earlier, gripping his smaller messenger bag tightly.

After watching Khalid go off in the other direction, the girl from Connuriste rolled her light blue eyes, a little bemused by the event that had just unfolded. "I'm Emmanuelle." she told Lechle, whose handling of the situation, particularly word choice and delivery, had proven to be quite entertaining - in fact, so much so that she was a little surprised that it hadn't got him punched. It was fair to say that Lechle might have piqued Emmanuelle's interest, though not quite exactly in the way that he might like the most.

"Please, tell me that the rest of the people on that bus aren't like that." she said, laughing quietly at his mention of the catch she had clearly just missed out on as she shook her head lightly.

Of course, having just been interrupted by Khalid, they now found themselves interrupted by someone else asking if there was a problem, but before she could say anything Lechle told them a tall tale about a football injury and getting help with his own suitcase. Emmanuelle could do nothing except maintain a straight face, although luckily she had lots of practice at doing just that from times where she was nearly caught things she shouldn't be doing.

"Huh."

For a moment it dawned on Lechle how little he accomplished during the bus ride over. He hadn't spent hours on the bus, yet he couldn't remember anything outside of waking up in it's pristine washroom, flask in hand.

"Can't speak for all of them really. Though I met someone who couldn't stand my nicotine-flavoured perfume."
