"P=President Bird? I thought you retired!"

[Lower Wardandian]

"She did." Marie replied. "This will be easier to explain in person, Eris. Where is the best place for us to meet?"

[Kallist]

"I know a cafe that can accommodate us."

[Kagetori]

"I'll have to be in disguise. There are enemies everywhere, dear Eris."

[Lower Wardandian]

"My Praetorian Guard will be watching." Marie said. "They are always watching, and they're loyal only to me. No one will get close."

[Kagetori]

Titania nodded in reluctant consent. "Pardon my paranoia; it's been a long month."

[Lower Wardandian]

"Paranoia is rather healthy here." Marie replied. "Three nobles in my court were assassinated last week. All poisoned. I now have ten taste testers, fifteen different cupbearers and ten chefs, none of who are allowed to cook for me twice in a row."

[Kagetori]

"Even in my soldier days, paranoia's not been a feeling I've been used to or enjoyed." Titania straightened herself up. "I'd prefer to stay in disguise, though. The important people know who I am."

[Lower Wardandian]

Twelve hours later, they all arrived at the cafe. Marie's Praetorian Guard, dressed in causal clothing, dispersed around the room, making sure to cover every possible angle. The young Empress took a seat with the disguised Titania. Marie was dressed simply, the only indication of her rank being a small, almost unnoticeable crown.

[Kagetori]

Titania kept her eyes around, practiced paranoia prompting her to proactively perceive potential problems. She was dressed in Lower Wardandian bodyguard attire, plus some appropriate facial coverings.
