Smart, popular and completely ungovernable, Melodie Robillard has been disappointing her parents and her teachers for years by failing to live up to her potential. Recently, she's become involved with a boyfriend nearly twice her age who has a reputation as a local street gang leader. This proved to be the last straw for her parents, both of whom are medical doctors, who decided the best thing for their daughter would be to send her out of the country altogether to get her away from the bad influences around her. Batons restricted to police and military use only. Pepper spray is allowed, but also concealed. Tazers are considered self-defense weapons, but once on school grounds, they must be handed over to a receptionist.

Something people might consider is that if you and another player want to go off on a side adventure that will take pages of back and forth without advancing the agenda of the main thread, consider maybe starting a new thread. If you, say, want to go off on a late-night adventure, you can do so without all the people who don't want to have a late-night adventure having to wait for it to end so the next day can happen, or have the possibility of there being multiple timescales in the same thread. That way side adventures and misadventures can't derail the main IC thread until it dies, like has happened to the vast majority of school threads.
