First Grand Finalist + Battle Stage Qualifier!

Postby Britonisea » Wed Mar 11, 2020 12:18 pm

Image

Continued Coverage of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020. LIVE from Boschke, Britonisea with your hosts Cole Heiman and Theodore Faucheux, with Mini Surrey-North in the Greenroom.

The camera zooms over to the Executive Producer for Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020, Lewis Schmit, who is smiling, looking up as the camera meets him at the top of the arena. He sits amongst a panel of four others, with him being in the middle of them all. Lewis is holding a microphone to his face as he readies himself to start speaking by clearing his throat.

Image

Lewis Schmit: Thank you very much to Theo and Cole tonight, you've both done a splendid job tonight. Tonight in Britonisea, we have received 8.5 million votes, with around 70% of total votes being counted for coming from our app. You know what to do...download the blooming app! Eight nations have voted tonight making it the largest Semi-Final 2 that we've had to date. The scores can be directly compared to Semi-Final 1 which is great! The winner of this Semi-Final has currently the highest total points of the two Semis so far...Wonder who that is!

Theodore Faucheux: Thank you! Could you send us over the results - are they ready?

Lewis Schmit: Yes! I can confirm that all of the votes have been counted for and I am sending them over to you now. Thank you all and enjoy the results - there are definitely some surprises!

The audience cheered gayly as this screen shows up for many watching at home...

Image

Cole Heiman: Right so all of the scores have been added together from the International votes and the Britonish votes. If you don't remember, the Britonish televote makes up 50% of the Britonish vote and the Britonish Jury makes up for the other half. Huge changes can happen on the scoreboard in the meantime. We will release all of the votes at the end of Vha Mehlodhivestoile on the 4th April 2020. For now, we will be revealing a Battle Stage qualifier before revealing a Grand Finalist. The Grand Finalist will get to perform their song once more. We will then do this process again with the last Grand Finalist singing us out. I'll leave it to you, Theo to reveal who has gotten through to the next stage...

Theodore Faucheux: Sure! I can reveal that the first act to the Battle Stage is...[blocktext]

Image

"TOULOUSE!"

The announce let out a loud cheer for the only Britonish song in this Semi-Final. The camera turned to TOULOUSE with the three of them hugging one another. We went back to Theo for the first Grand Finalist of the evening. People were looking eagerly at the usual winning positions of Semi-Final 2.

[Blocktext]Theodore Faucheux: I can reveal that the first winner of the 2nd Semi-Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020 is....

After half a minute's wait, the first winner of Vha Mehlodhivestoile Semi-Final 2 was announced...

Image

"TOBIAS NOAH!!"

It was a shock for fans who loved numbers at Vha Mehlodhivestoile as Song 6 in Semi-Final 2 was known as the death slot. It's the only position where no act has qualified to neither the Grand Final or the Battle Stage. Tobias has managed to overcome a large superstition of the contest. He walks to the stage to get ready for his performance...

TOBIAS NOAH - "STRONGER
Tune: KHAYAT - OSOKA (official video) (00:43 - 00:57)
I know that I’m stronger, immune from your torture
Hold me down no longer, the restriction over
Look at your face, sombre, not as brave as you were,
Unveiling the poseur,
Your nothing, you’re no-more

Now I know I’m stronger, I am coming for you
Don’t run - don’t you bother, all areas covered
Victims - you’re another. Begging for the slaughter,
Bow your head down lower,
Your nothing, you’re no one.

The Next Qualifiers + Special Announcement

Postby Britonisea » Wed Mar 11, 2020 4:15 pm

After Tobias performed on the stage to an enthusiastic, yet shocked, audience, the cameras moved back to the two hosts of the competition.
Cole Heiman: Well done Tobias! Qualifying from spot number 6? Wow! You're one to watch in the Grand Final. Congrats to TOULOUSE as well. We will see you in two weeks time in Ghiez. We have yet to find out who will your judge from Mercedini, Polkopia, Scotatrova, Achaean Republic and Estogium. Right... Theo take it away once more mate!

Theodore Faucheux: Sure thing! Right. Next up we have to figure out the next qualifier to the Battle Stage. Who do you all think it's going to be? Let's find out right here, right now. The last Battle Stage qualifier is...

There was a short silence before the scoreboard changed with Theo saying the next qualifier at the same time.

Image

"RIGAS JENGIZ!"

Conversely to the death slot #6, Rigas Jengiz's spot (3rd) had always qualified to the Grand Final since 2016. This would be the first time that position didn't provide that lucky ticket. Though it wasn't Rigas' first time in the Battle Stage - this matches her performance in 2017. There was a muted response as Rigas took a bow and walked off the stage. It was now time for the Grand Finalist announcement. Who was it going to be? Etela Tomac looked hot on the cards to qualify, so did Lucie Dagenham. Jared Zayne is very popular, especially to the Aloquirbs. Let's find out...

Theodore Faucheux: Right. It's time to find out our last Grand Finalist of the Second Semi-Final. They'll join Justs Prazeres, KAYLEY, Jun-iči Hoch & Ekkehard Liinamaa and of course now Tobias Noah in the Grand Final. Okay...I can confirm that the last Grand Finalist is...

Image

"LUCIE DAGENHAM FT AY:KO CONGRATULATIONS!!!"

The audience cheered position #8 won the final ticket to the Grand Final. Interestingly but similarly to the first Semi-Final, three debutants made it through to the next round defying the odds. Lucie hugged AY:KO before the two prepared for their performance...

Image

LUCIE DAGENHAM ft AY:KO - "PARADIGM"
Tune: KEiiNO - Dancing in the smoke (official music video) (00:24 - 00:54)

Why are people telling me how I should act, oh?
They all should worry ‘bout themselves
I am just being myself, myself

We have got to break the paradigm, I
Do not know how but we will
If we all put our heads together, we will
Succeed, I know
I know we will make a change

After their performance, we went back to the hosts which was unusual for a Semi-Final. All three hosts were standing to the side as in the back you could see Lucie Dagenham and Tobias Noah celebrating their win together. Mini Surrey-North begun speaking...
Mini Surrey-North: Congratulations once more to Tobias Noah and Lucie Dagenham for qualifying to the Grand Final. We will be seeing you in Alshkan on the 4th April 2020!

Cole Heiman: Next week we return to our normal timeslot of 8:00PM next week - during the WorldVision Song Contest but come on over and pick us here on BVC One! I wasn't obliged to say that by the way!

Theodore Faucheux:: Next up is the 50th World Hit Festival Grand Final! Britonisea qualified, and along with 16 other nations, it will compete to find the 50th winner, the golden winner of the World Hit Festival. The competition happens in Izmedu - a shout out to all of our Izmeduan fans watching this broadcast.

Mini Surrey-North: Now to conclude, you're going to have to tune in next week because at 9:25pm - just after the events of Semi-Final 3, there will be a special announcement from BVC and BITC. We cannot wait for this secret to be announced!

Cole Heiman: But for now...

Theodore Faucheux: From us....it's a good evening and goodbye from the capital city!

The audience continued cheering as this ident showed up on the screen to the sound of the stadium...

BVC | #VM2020 | Semi Final 3 - Quickenden, Britonisea

Postby Britonisea » Sat Mar 14, 2020 1:00 pm

Image
Live Coverage of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020. LIVE from Quickenden, Britonisea with your hosts Mini Surrey North and Theodore Faucheux, with Cole Heiman in the Greenroom.

This was an interesting edition for Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020. After the songs were revealed, later than usual, there seemed to be a lot of interest in what was hailed as the most difficult Semi-Final of the three to win. BVC are also going up against the WorldVision Song Contest which is being broadcast on BITC during the same time slot. BVC have tried to combat this by announcing a special announcement to be made at the end of the programme, in the hope people come back to watch the end after Britonisea performs 6th at WorldVision in Nekoni. The special announcement set trended on twitter with many nations wondering what BVC have planned. Over 12 million people watched Semi-Final 2, making it the 6th most watched Semi-Final to date. The third Semi-Final had big names to look for with great opening and interval acts. First up is Ria Aristride performing her new hit song, “You Blew It”. Ria represented Britonisea at WorldVision Song Contest 76 in Achaean Republic, where she placed tenth. But before all of this, the renouned titles of Vha Mehlodhivestoile started to play.

Image

After the opening titles played, we were submerged into darkness before we slowly saw lights coming from the 14,000 people that packed the stage in Quickenden. Quickenden was known as the epicentre of Britonisea at the WorldVision Song Contest due to the nation’s first hosting at the 41st WorldVision Song Contest. Ria Aristide, after representing Britonisea, was treated better than the likes of Mehkl Maddox-Ajax and Eva Almast with her likeable figure and national success helping her career keep afloat. She is hoping to make steady progress with her career by singing her new song, “You Blew It” in Quickenden and being involved in the special announcement set to happen at the end of the show tonight.

”You Blew It” started to play in the arena with the dark arena now being lit in colourful tones which suited the theme of the song. Ria started to sing….

Gave you a chance and you blew it
Get out my face, come on, move it
Made me all sad, why d’ya do it? Yeah Yeah
Thinking ‘bout you on the daily
You were such a big part of me
How was I ever so foolish? Yeah Yeah

Ria looks at the camera, smiling to it as she held her hands out to the camera. The Britonish audience cheered as she moved from being in the shadows, revealing herself and the outfit that she was wearing.

Good luck to the next girl you date
She’s gonna realise what kinda man you are
I pray for her, you’ll drive her mad
And I’ll be there for her, ‘cuz I

As she walked to the middle of the stage, five male dancers came running out from the sides of the stage with one of the dancers standing right behind her. The dancer was Jordan Hermes, one of Britonisea’s most prominent male dancers and television personalities. As she went into the chorus, Ria started grinding, looking at Jordan over her shoulder as she moved down.

Gave you a chance and you blew it
Get out my face, come on, move it
Made me all sad, why d’ya do it?
(Gave you a chance and you blew it)
Don’t come back, running to me
When she learns ‘bout your mind games
Wondering why she was foolish
(Gave you a chance and you blew it)

Thinking ‘bout you on the daily
You were such a big part of me
How was I ever so foolish?
Gave you a chance and you blew it!
Gave you a chance and you blew it,
Get out my face, come on, move it
Made me all sad, why d’ya do it?
(Gave you a chance and you blew it)

At the end of the very long chorus, all of the male dancers except for Jordan quickly scurried off the stage. The colours from before became suddenly muted, with blue taking centre stage. Ria turned around as the tall figure of Jordan stood opposite her. Ria placed her hand on Jordan’s torso before pushing him back a bit as she started singing the next verse...

How you treat girls, it’s a problem
Pick up the phone, don’t ignore them
Don’t you blame it on your boredom

Good luck to the next girl you date
She’s gonna realise what kinda man you are
I pray for her, you’ll drive her mad
And I’ll be there for her, ‘cuz I

At the end of the chorus, Jordan managed to get behind Ria once again as he put his arm around her waist, with Ria holding her hand over his. The pair started dancing together as the cameras zoomed in and out of them. The other male dancers filled the stage also, dancing in a similar fashion to how they were dancing before...

At this stage, female dancers joined the four male dancers as all of the dancers, Ria and Jordan turned their bodies on the axis, as they sang the bridge section together. The camera zoomed out as bright neutral light twinkled over the bright colours of the stage. The audience sang along to the catchy and vibrant song...

Na na na oh
Na na na oh
Na na na oh
No never now
Na na na oh
Na na na oh
Na na na oh
No never now

Na na na oh
Na na na oh
Na na na oh
No never now
Na na na oh
Na na na oh
Na na na oh
No never now

At this part, the dancers made way for the two main hosts of the competition tonight. Theo Faucheux and Mini Surrey North danced their way between the dancers who formed a line on two sides with Ria waiting on the end of the queue for them. As they went in the chorus once again, Ria stood in the middle of Mini, who was singing along, and Theo who was dancing and handshaking people in the audience.

Gave you a chance and you blew it
Get out my face, come on, move it
Made me all sad, why d’ya do it?
(Gave you a chance and you blew it)
Don’t come back, running to me
When she learns ‘bout your mind games
Wondering why she was foolish
(Gave you a chance and you blew it)

Thinking ‘bout you on the daily
You were such a big part of me
How was I ever so foolish?
Gave you a chance and you blew it!
Gave you a chance and you blew it
Get out my face, come on, move it
Made me all sad, why d’ya do it?
(Gave you a chance and you blew it oh)

At the end, there was an establishing shot from inside the Meggatude Arena in Quickenden, one of the largest arenas in Britonisea which was capped for capacity. The arena went crazy for Ria Aristide and she thanked the audience. She stood there as Mini and Theodore took their position in the middle of the stage. The dancers moved away, except for Jordan who stood next to Ria Aristide, putting his hands around her but also wiping away that bit of sweat that was made from all that dancing.

Mini Surrey-North: Thank you so much Ria for that amazing performance, wow! What a fantastic way to kick off the third Semi-Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020!

Theodore Faucheux: Well done to Jordan as well for the dancing, dancers really bring a perofrmance to life! That was Ria Arisitide’s new hit single, “You Blew It” - start streaming it immediately!

Everyone left on the stage hugged each other as the audience cheered loudly. Mini Surrey North held onto Jordan’s arm as he was about to walk off of the stage. As Jordan stopped, so did Ria with the pair looking back at an eager Mini Surrey-North and Theodore.
Mini Surrey-North: Now, before you go, I would like to just grab you both for a second! Rumour has it that you both will be involved in the reveal at the end of the show tonight?

Jordan Hermes: You would be right in saying this, yes!

Theodore Faucheux: Are you able to tell us anything about what is going to be revealed?

The audience all look at Ria as she opens her mouth, pointing her finger in the air as they were fooled in believing that they’d find out the secret plan BVC and BITC are preparing.
Ria Arisitide: What we can reveal is that BVC and BITC will be working together! I am afraid I cannot tell you, you’ll have to wait until the end of the show!

The people in the arena let out an audible sigh before Jordan and Ria gave a large kiss to the audience and walked off to the sounds of the audience clapping them off.
Theodore Faucheux: Hello and welcome to Semi-Final 3 of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020! I am your co-host Theodore Faucheux…

Mini Surrey-North: And I am Mini Surrey-North and we will be taking you through tonight’s proceedings. Ahead of this mystery announcement, we will be listening to 8 fantastic songs - it’s going to be brilliant - with you guys at home being given the opportunity to pick your favourite of the eight. We will also be listening to the Grand Finalist too before we have another performance in the interval by Mateus Breton!

Theodore Faucheux: Which I am bloody looking forward to, I love Mateus Breton!

Mini Surrey-North: We might be able to get some more info from him, I am sure Cole in the Greenroom is on it! Well, enough about the announcement - which will come - let’s get on with the show!

Image
Who will qualify?: Eight acts will be participating tonight but only four of them will qualify to the next stage of Vha Mehlodhivestoile...

Theodore Faucheux: As said every week, in the Semi-Finals, the Britonish influence will be 50% to the international influence. For the Britonish side, the juries will make up 50% while you at home make up the other 50%. Now, while you have 25% of the actual vote, you guys can make a big difference as we have seen in the past few years.

Mini Surrey-North: Everything will be translated into points and you'll know at the end of the show the successful two artists who qualify straight to the Grand Final in Alshkan and which two acts (third and fourth) will make a quick stop in Ghiez for the Battle Stage. If you aren't aware as well, the number is displayed on the bottom left hand corner along with the name of the artist and the song. The lighter the number, the more popular the song is on the app!

Theodore Faucheux: I think it’s time to announce that…

BOTH: THE VOTING LINES ARE NOW OPEN!

The audience released a large “wooo” sound before the voting lines disappeared from the screen. We were joined by the two main hosts of the evening.
Teodore Faucheux: You can vote via the Mehlodhivestoile 2019 app, or you can vote by calling 0141 2340 22 and the number of when your act is performing. You can also vote by texting "WIN" by texting 623 22 and then the number of your favourite act. For example, if you wanted to vote for act 1, it's 0141 2340 2201. Calls cost 20p but that might vary based on your provider.

Mini Surrey North: Each vote we get through text or phone call will result in that being equal to four app votes. If you don't got the money, you can vote via the app which you can download in the Playstore. You will gain 12 free votes.

Theodore Faucheux: Okay! Now it’s time for the first act of the evening. It’s Marcela Newburry with her song, “The One”! Let the show begin!

Interval Act + HOW TO VOTE!

Postby Britonisea » Sat Mar 14, 2020 1:00 pm

Continued Coverage of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020. LIVE from Quickenden, Britonisea with your hosts Theodore Faucheux and Mini Surrey North, with Cole Heiman in the Greenroom.

The camera zoomed over the audience as they applauded the eight acts in the recap. However, it was time to announce that the voting deadline is closed. Unlike in previous years where the voting lines closed straight after the recap after the seventh song, the voting lines would be open for a bit longer - at the end of the first of the interval acts tonight, which Mini and Cole were about to announce…

Mini Surrey North: It's time to now have a performance from the act that came third place at Vha Mehlodhivestoile last year! I am so excited to say hello once again to Jun-iči Hoch & Ekkehard Liinamaa with their song, "Exorcist"!

Interval Act - Automatic Grand Finalist
Jun-iči Hoch & Ekkehard Liinamaa - Exorcist
Tune:Breathe Carolina - Like This (Official Music Video)
Breathing fire from a red-eyed kiss
Chasing shadows in a midnight mist
Tell me a lie to repent from this
Fled from on high claiming holiness
Send me a sign from an exorcist

Theodore Faucheux: Wow! What an infectious song, brilliant! Here's your final recap before we close the lines of the last Semi-Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile!

*RECAP SHOWN*

Mini Surrey-North: Okay, Britonisea! You've had 50 minutes to vote but I can now reveal that voting in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020 Semi Final 3 is NOW CLOSED!

Theodore Faucheux: While the team in the back work had to verify the votes, we have a performance from a legend here in Britonisea.

Mini Surrey-North: He's been behind so many of Britonisea's top songs in the charts, and has sung many songs that have also done pretty well! He is known for his talent and the shows that he has hosted in the past.

Theodore Faucheux: So please welcome to the stage...MATEUS BRETON!

First Battle Stage + Grand Finalist Qualifier!

Postby Britonisea » Mon Mar 16, 2020 12:32 pm

Image

Continued Coverage of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020. LIVE from Quickenden, Britonisea with your hosts Mini Surrey-North and Theodore Faucheux, with Cole Heiman in the Greenroom.

Image

Lewis Schmit: Hello everybody! This is the third and last Semi-Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile coming to an end, but before we get to the results, I am going to tell you all about the statistics that I have managed to gather. Despite the Grand Final of the 80th WorldVision Song Contest going on currently over on BITC One, it seems as though more people have voted this Semi-Final than before as 9.27 million votes have been collected! Of the unique voters, the old televote voters made up for nearly 40% of the vote tonight which might suggest those who usually vote via the app might be off watching WorldVision or something - who knows?

Mini Surrey North: And Lewis, would you be able to tell me how close it was tonight?

Lewis Schmit: Tonight was a very close night. On the Britonish side of things only two points separated Britonisea's 2nd to 5th place and internationally, two points separated 2nd to 4th. More importantly, the final result matters and that was very close too. When combining Britoninsea's half and the International's, we find that there was only ONE POINT between a Grand Finalist and a Battle Stager and then ONE POINT between a Battle Stager and someone who was elimanted from the competition.

The audience gasps at what was one of the tightest Semi-Finals of Vha Mehlodhivestoile in history. Looking at the votes, it seems as though people (both Jury and Televote) were torn over who to choose from.
Lewis Schmit: You'll see the results of tonight's show at the end of the Grand Final, and when you do, you'll realise this Semi-Final is rather special away from the facts I've already told you.

Theodore Faucheux: Thank you! Are you ready to reveal those results?

Lewis Schmit: I can confirm, yes, that the points are ready for your viewing.

The audience cheered gayly as this screen shows up for many watching at home...

Image

Mini Surrey North: The scores have been added together from the International votes and the Britonish votes. The Britonish televote makes up 50% of the Britonish vote and the Britonish Jury makes up for the other half. Huge changes can happen on the scoreboard in the meantime. We will release all of the votes at the end of Vha Mehlodhivestoile on the 4th April 2020.

Theodore Faucheux: For now, we will be revealing a Battle Stage qualifier before revealing a Grand Finalist. The Grand Finalist will get to perform their song once more. We will then do this process again with the last Grand Finalist singing us out. The first Battle Stage qualifier is....[blocktext]

Image

"TYLER WAGNER!"

The audience cheered as the tall figure of Tyler Wagner shot into the air from his seated position. He looked at the camera before giving it a kiss. The camera then turned back to Theo who was smiling as he watched what was happening in the Greenroom...

[Blocktext]Theodore Faucheux: Haha! Right, it's time to find out the first Grand Finalist of the 3rd Semi-Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020! Right.... I can reveal that they are...

After half a minute's wait, the first winner of Vha Mehlodhivestoile Semi-Final 3 was announced...

Image

"KELSEY BANQUES!"

There was a huge cheer in the audience as Kelsey Banques makes her second appearance in a Vha Mehlodhivestoile Grand Final by qualifying straight to the Grand Final, joining KAYLEY in those that have qualified straight to the Grand Final on more than one occasion. Kelsey hugged members of the Greenroom, especially Petre Lemetre - a best friend of hers. She murmured "Join me up there, please" to Petre under her breath before hugging him tightly once more. She ran up to the stage and prepard for her song, "Indestructible".

Last two qualifiers + Round-up!

Postby Britonisea » Tue Mar 17, 2020 12:30 pm

Kelsey waved out to the audience as we went back to the hosts. This time It would be Mini Surrey-North to be revealing the successful two who see another week at Vha Mehlodhivestoile...
Theodore Faucheux: Well done to Kelsey for reaching your second Grand Final! I wonder how you'll do. Anyway, there's no time for chatting, we've got to get the show done and dusted for that special announcement! Mini...

Mini Surrey-North: I agree with you, we're only like ten minutes from finding out what's been going on! Okay...so...the next Battle Stage qualifier is...

There was a short silence before the scoreboard changed with Theo saying the next qualifier at the same time.

Image

"PETRE LEMETRE!"

There was silence in the arena as Petre reacted to the news by blowing a kiss to the audience and mouthed, "Thank you". Petre was a favourite to qualify directly to the Grand Final alongside KAYLEY as they did together in 2018. Alas, this year it wasn't meant to be. Petre was relegated to the Battle Stage and the last time he was, he was knocked out of the competition. Hopefully this edition, his fortunes are better....

Image

"MARTINA HACER!"

Martina was very shocked that her name was called out. She thought that the one spot that was left wasn't for her as she started to relive 2017 when she failed to qualify for the Grand Final of the show. She was elated, with her delegation hugging her tightly before she made her way to the stage...
06
MARTINA HACER - "BAILANDO"
Tune: Eva Simons - Guaya [Official Video] (00:43 - 01:20)
You’re dangerous,
Hairs ‘pon my neck stood up,
Keep your eyes locked on mine
Because you are mine tonight

Chico, you’ve got my attention
Sí, work your magic ‘pon my dance floor
Bailando (Bailando)
Bailando (Bailando)
Don’t stop, give me
Give me some more

At the end of the song, we went to the three hosts of the show as Cole Heiman joined Theo and Mini on the stage. They were all smiling as the camera panned towards them. Occasionally, the camera would cut to Martina and Kelsey standing next to one another, celebrating their win.
Cole Heiman: What a fannnntastic Semi-Final! That's it everybody! The Semi-Finals of Vha Mehlodhivestoile are over and we now look ahead to the next two shows left, The Battle Stage set to take place in a week's time and then the Grand Final which happens on the 4th April 2020.

Theodore Faucheux: Right! I think it's time to take a look at the six Direct Grand Final qualifiers plus our Automatic Grand Finalist of 2020...

We then cut to 20-second performances of the seven performances of each of the qualifiers and automatic Grand Finalists...

Image
Top Row: Justs Prazeres, KAYLEY, Tobias Noah, Jun-iči Hoch & Ekkehard Liinamaa, Bottom Row: Lucie Dagenham, Kelsey Banques, Martina Hacer

Mini Surrey North: You're probably also wondering what the Battle Stage duels for this year's looking like, right? Well, I can tell you that five battles will be happening this year with nations, Polkopia, Scotatrova, Mercedini, Achaean Republic and Estogium judging them. The producers behind the scenes have been making their final decisions as to who will be performing against who and it's time to show you all...

The camera then cut to this image which showed the five duels that are set to take place for next week's show...

Image
You will be contacted within 12 hours of this message with instructions on what to do. You will have to pick one of the two songs above.

The audience cheered as the looked at the board. Scotatrova would be judging the duel between Tyler Wagner, who had just qualified to the Battle Stage, plus Katie Reece-Boyst, the wife of Dean Boyst from 2017. Polkopia will be choosing the 2nd winner of the night next week between Scotatrovan automatic Battle Stager and "Full of Surprises" by girl group Shards of Diamonds. Mercedini will be choosing between the only Britonish language song left in the competition by TOULOUSE and Axuvian automatic Battle Stager, Cyrus Yi. Achaean Republic will be choosing between Leo Marshall-Hunte who is hoping to better his brother's 2019 performance and Petre Lemetre who had just qualified from SF3 tonight. Finally, Estogium would be deciding between Nightomese singer Krysten Phearson and World Hit and WorldVision veteran, Rigas Jengiz, who will be the last performer of the night.
Theodore Faucheux: And there we go! Who is going to qualify to the Grand Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020? We will find out next week!

Mini Surrey-North: And you'll be hosting that one by yourself, won't you?

Theodore Faucheux: Indeed I am! I'm quite nervous about it to be honest, but I am sure it'll be fine!

Cole Heiman: You'll be irie, I promise! Catch us next week at 8pm for the two hour show which will feature 10 performances and chats with the already qualified artists. We will be saying hey, via Satelite unlike in previous years, to the five juries and finding out the Grand Final running order. I'm tingling with excitement.

Theodore Faucheux: Congrats to the six winners of the Semi-Finals this year! Now for you at home, it's time for a very important announcement live from here in the Meggatude Arena! We will see you next week!

ALL: Goodnight!

The camera zoomed out of the three presenters as the credits for Vha Mehlodhivestoile started to roll with a black screen behind it instead of the usual moving images of the winners on the stage. As we finished the credits, we were joined once again in the arena...

BVC | #VM2020 | The Battle Stage - Ghiez, Britonisea

Postby Britonisea » Sat Mar 21, 2020 1:00 pm

Image

Live Coverage of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020. LIVE from Ghiez, Britonisea with your host Theodore Faucheux

For the first time in Vha Mehlodhivestoile, the same amount of nations participated in each of the Semi-Finals that were held, with a total of eight juries being shown at each show. The announcement at the end of the show went down quite well in Britonisea since it’s been 15 editions since Britonisea bid for the WorldVision Song Contest. Moving on to the show last week, a total of 11.95 milion households watched the show making it the 7th most watched Vha Mehlodhivestoile Semi Final to date. Overall, the viewing for the show has been rather similar to one another with the three shows being Vha Mehlodhivestoile’s 10th - 12th best shows (also including the Grand Finals and Battle Stages). It was announced that this year, collectively and by average, was the 2nd most watched Semi-Final stage in 5 years. It was unsure what the figures for the Battle Stage would be but due the hosts repetitively mentioning the Battle Stage and no WorldVision or World Hit Festiva interruptions might mean the Battle Stage will be the most watched to date. Tonight, only Theodore Faucheux would be the only host of the night as Mini Surrey North and Cole Heiman become the main hosts for the Grand Final in two weeks time. For the penultimate time this year, the Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020 titles started to play...

Image

For the opening song of the Battle Stage, we thought that it would be a good idea to have Vhe Qí performing his winning World Hit Festival song. His song is the most popular of World Hit Festival winners both nationally and internationally, but BVC says this this entry was a complete risk as the broadcaster thought that when nations heard that there would be an orchestral edition, they would all go down one route of orchestral entries. Vhe Qí was a completely different path for Britonisea which paid off.

Similarly to his 46th World Hit Festival performance, Vhe Qí was wearing something similar to this with his make up similar to the man on the right. The audience cheered Vhe Qí as the lights went down for him in the audience. He was hooked onto this large frame that had two other people hooked up on it, it looked as though they were all puppets on a string. Vhe Qí looked forward as the camera slowly moved forward passed the orchestral pit and towards him...

His song, "Dangerously in Love" started to play...

I've sacrificed it all for you, my friends and family.
Now I'm led to think you didn't care for me.
(You're dangerously in love)
Oh I am so naive…in love...
Oh yes, with you I have lost my sense of identity,
Made to fit your vision

The colours that were appearing for the lights was a mixture of red and yellow, which the BVC delegation at the time thought would be suitable colours to fit with the theme of puppets and all. Before the chorus started, they had not used the backing LED, however that was going to change with the start of the explosive chorus. Just before, however, he was on stage in the same position for the first verse with the Steadicam moving around him, the two other puppets. As the orchestra stopped playing with the xylophone/glockenspiel instrument being the only instrument playing, the lights were substitute for a lone spotlight lights coming from the audience making it look as though they were in an galactic world.

However as the chorus hit, the Steadicam and cameraman ran out the way that it came, with a wide shot of the stage being shown at this point as the stage exploded into red and yellow once again. This time, the stage followed suit with red and yellow squares being shown on the stage screens with a large pulsating skull right in the middle of the wall. The camera panned out from the skull, slowly losing height before moving last Vhe Qí who was still chained up. During the chorus, the top of the contraption moved up and down, with his hands having to move along with it...

I'm your puppet on a string,
Use me 'till my strings snap-ap-ap-ap-ap
Then you'll think of me and - snap! - you'll realise
You can't live without me.

So take advantage of me,
I know I'll have the last la-la-la-la-laugh.
I enjoy the pain, it makes your eyes glow gold.
I'm dangerously in...oh I'm in love.

The camera zoomed in very quickly as Vhe Qí screamed the last line into the microphone attached to his face. The strings kept on playing, acting as a bridge between the chorus and the next verse. The picture faded out, fading to black before another camera from behind Vhe Qí in a similar fashion to how it was done before. The camera started to circle around them, with him eyeing the camera up everytime it passed his face. This time, it seemed as though he was becoming a bit more resistant to the contraption moving his limbs up and down. His face, you could see, really was into the song as he expressed the hurt and desperation in his heart.

What is happening? You make my heart beat out of my chest
Because you treat your enemies better than you treat me.
(You're dangerously in love)
I'm the weak one, I know...in love.

The toxicity is suffocating, I am dying
And you are loving it

During the section right before the chorus (well, the pre-chorus), the little xylophone/glockenspiel interlude happened again. As he started singing about the toxicity, smoke machines from the floor stage started to fill up the stage as the wind machines made the smoke travel upwards towards Vhe Qí who started to smile right before the end of the pre-chorus. As Vhe Qí emphasised the word "it" he quickly shot a death glare towards the audience and camera which quickly moved away from him. The spotlight returned for this section.

Colours burst back on to the stage as the chorus came in once again. As he sang "puppet", he strongly ripped himself away from the contraption with the strings falling to his knees. The other puppets looked at Vhe Qí at the same time before they looked each other before they ran off the stage, with that being shown in a midshot of all of them. As they ran off the stage, the same camera quickly zoomed into the face of Vhe Qí who winked in to the camera. He moved to the edge of the stage where the orchestra pit was, singing over the talented musicians.

I'm your puppet on a string,
Use me 'till my strings snap-ap-ap-ap-ap
Then you'll think of me and - snap! - you'll realise
You can't live without me.

So take advantage of me,
I know I'll have the last la-la-la-la-laugh.
I enjoy the pain, it makes your eyes glow gold.
Dangerously in love
Oh I am in love!

As the sang the last section of the chorus, he turned his position as to show his body to the whole of the audience after making them face the audience. He screamed the last line into the microphone with the camera zooming out at this point with the moving LED image stopping. The skull combusted on the LED, with it being shattered to pieces.

As the medieval sounds acted as a filler between chorus and bridge, he marched himself back to centre stage before what was the bridge. He looked forward as he sang. The lights were different to how they were at the start, with the scene acting looking rather pretty in comparison to the general theme of the song.

Oh I love your Judas kiss
So dirty, so luring
I think I'm in love
You play to my weakness…

The lights circled around the arena before all meeting up at one point with Vhe Qí holding his hand out as he with bathed in white light. There was a pause in the song. The conductor could be seen holding their hand out as she stopped the orchestra from playing. Here, the two pictures between Vhe Qí and the conductor blended in before the camera quickly zoomed into Vhe Qí from afar as he started singing once again. He came in with a tiny bit more gusto than before, walking forward by the orchestra pits and towards the audience. The audience cheered audibly as he started to interact with them. There was a shot which panned over the orchestra pits and him standing in the middle of them. As he started on the second part of the final chorus, there was a shot that zoomed out from his microphone and mouth, similar to John Lundvik here.

I'm your puppet on a string,
Use me 'till my strings, they snap-ap-ap-ap-ap
Then you'll think of me and - snap! - you'll realise
You can't live without me.
Dangerously!

So take advantage of me,
I will have the last la-la-la-la-laugh.
I enjoy the pain, call me masochistic!
Dangerously in love

During this section, Vhe Qí moved back to the contraption that he was hooked up on to at the start, with the camera focusing on the orchestra during this bit as someone tied him on to the board. As he came back singing, the camera advanced on him in a similar fashion to how it did it at the start of the song. He looked at the camera, tilting his head with a saddened expression on his face...the lights dimmed and focused on him as he finished the song...

I enjoy the pain, it makes your eyes glow gold.
I'm dangerously in love

The camera then zoomed out, with the stage turning to black and the orchestra pits being lit up in sparkling blue - in particular, the instrument which carried the song out. Right at the end of the song, the stage was empty with him standing in the middle of the stage by himself. Appearing on the stage was the host of tonight’s show, Theodore. He greeted Vhe Qí with a hug before complimenting him. Vhe Qí walked off the stage as Theodore looked forward towards the camera.

Theodore Faucheux: Wow! How epic was that?

The audience applauded as Theodore clapped with a wide smile on his face after Vhe Qí as he walked off the stage. He continued to speak;
Theodore Faucheux: My name is Theodore Faucheux and I’ll be taking you through tonight’s proceedings. Thank you to Vhe Qí who opened the show with his winning World Hit Festival 46 song. I think it’s time to say congratulations to Meghan Jorgensen for winning the 50th World Hit Festival - the biggest World Hit Festival to date!

The audience cheered loudly, so loudly that Theodore stopped speaking and smiled. He lowered his head and chuckled as the audience calmed down.
Theodore Faucheux: And tonight, we will be speaking to her following her win - that will be an interesting interview won’t it! I must also say a well done to Concordium who finished 8th in Nekoni at the WorldVision Song Contest.

The audience cheered once again, with many of them remembering that Concordium, a relatively unknown band, performed on Vha Mehlodhivestoile a couple of weeks ago.
Theodore Faucheux: Tonight is a busy night as we have not eight performances...but ten performances and with each couple performances, performing in a duel with an international jury voting for the best song to join the seven already in the Grand Final. Should we have a look at tonight’s performances?

PICTURE FROM LAST WEEK'S SHOW
Image
A very busy evening: There will be ten competitive performances tonight, a rise of 2 duels from the last two editions.

Theodore Faucheux: We will be opening a free opinion poll on the Mehlodhivestoile app - so if you still make your voice heard, you can! I think it’s time for me to stop talking and move onto the first Battle of the show. Scotatrova will be voting in this battle. It’s Tyler Wagner with his song “Can’t Live A Lie” versus Katie Reece-Boyst with her song, “Clarity”.

BVC | #VM2020 | The Battle Stage - The Results

Postby Britonisea » Sat Mar 21, 2020 4:00 pm

Image

The camera zoomed over to Theodore Faucheux after the recap as he patiently waited. He was smiling very widely as he stood behind the plinth provided in times like this - voting reveal time. He started to speak...
Theodore Faucheux: It's now to start with the Jury votes. Each National Jury is made up of 9 members, a reduction from the 10 we had last time because we don't have time do to a flash vote! The names of each Juror and who they voted for will appear on the screen as well - we love transparency here at Vha Mehlodhivestoile. Each entry that has won the duels will go through to the Grand Final. The Grand Final Running Order will be published by 00:00 GMT. Are you ready?

BATTLE ONE - SCOTATROVA

Theodore Faucheux: For off we head to Scotatrova and Lucas! Hello Lucas!

Lucas Arboleda: Iola Britonisea! Muse calling, and my can we say how much we enjoyed the show. A lot of talent present there tonight!

Theodore Faucheux: Aw that you so very much Lucas, how sweet of you to say. Do you have those precious votes for us?

Lucas Arboleda: So our decision has fallen at 5-4, with Katie making her way to the Grand Final!

Image

Lucas Arboleda: Congratulations and good luck. A Téon and Benun nuixa Britonisea!

Theodore Faucheux: Thank you very much Lucas and Scotatrova! Very avid fans of Vha Mehlodhivestoile! Congrats to Katie Reece-Boyst for making the Grand Final. I'm ready to find out another qualifier - what do you say?

As Theo said that last line he looks out to the audience as they all cheer "YES!" Theo moves on to the next nation...

BATTLE TWO - POLKOPIA

Theodore Faucheux: So up next is 9-time winners of the WorldVision Song Contest - the kings - Polkopia! One of those kings joins us right now...

Sergey Borisčev: Good evening Britonisea! My name is Sergey Borisčev and on behalf of all Polkopians watching, this has been an excellent journey so far.
There were some whistles from the audience as Sergey appeared on the screen. Perhaps the audience was happy Polkopia were making an appearance, but something tells me there's a more specific reason...
Sergey Borisčev: Anyway, we have the winner of the battle stage, and I've very excited to announce that the winner of battle number two is... Shards of Diamonds - Full of Surprises!

Image

Sergey Borisčev: Congratulations!

Theodore Faucheux: Thank you very much for those points and well done to Shards of Diamonds for qualifying to the Grand Final!

The audience gave off a polite cheer as Shards of Diamonds won their Battle - they quite liked the Scotatrovan though and did feel for him. Theodore made a comment before going to the third Battle...
Theodore Faucheux: And just to let you know, we will get those Polkopian results in detail to you very soon, after the show. Right...time to move on I think!

BATTLE THREE - MERCEDINI

Theodore Faucheux: Now we have Mercedini and Elle Borlaviac, a two-time SongSearch participant and sister to Samuel Borlaviac, Mercedini's first ever WV participant. Hello Elle- could we have the Mercedinian votes?!

Members of the jury include samples of the Mercedinian music industry. Including producers, vocalists, critics with a couple of Mercedinian representatives aswell.
Elle Borlaviac: Of course, overall Sercroussé by a vote of 6-3 using a solitary voting method.

Image

Theodore Faucheux: Thank you very much! Well done to TOULOUSE and sorry for that misspelling on the scoreboard - how shameful!

Audience members laugh as Theodore shakes his head in a jokingly way...

BATTLE FOUR - ACHAEAN REPUBLIC

Theodore Faucheux: So now we move on to the Battle for Achaean Republic, the hosts of Junior World Hit Festival! Hello to Olga Martínez, the head of the Jury who will tell us who won. But first, how's Achaean Republic preparing for the Junior World Hit Festival in a couple of weeks?”

Olga appears dancing and moving her arms, but with a surgical mask on her face, goggles in her eyes and latex gloves covering her hands. She begins to speak very loudly, showing her thick Achaean accent and almost attempting to speak English phonetically with a natural voice.
Olga Martínez: Woop-woop, ow! Good eve-ning everybody watching the Vaja Me..(squints) he-he…Lohdi…Loki… The Vee-Em! We are not doing so fresh in the Achaea because, nene let me tell you something: This whole coronavirus thing that is going on cannot be taken out with either Vicks Vapo Rub, or with red socks or a red string on the forehead. And I am talking to my mami who’s locked down in Corola and I’m like, ¡Mami, no the me mueras, coño, que está caro comprarte una caja de muertos!1'

Members of the audience squinted in confusion as they didn't understand the Spanish that was being spoken. The camera quickly cut to Theodore Faucheux who was lost for words...
Olga Martínez: So of course, things in Juana Díaz and Urbania aren’t much better, baby, I’ll tell you that. Even the kids are coughing on the kids when they play béisbol, they don’t have no school and are jodiéndome la vida2 asking me for milk and cookies and I say, ‘Baby, I just left to the store and you want me to get you milk and cookies!? And they’re still putting up with that piece of shi—"
1Mommy, don’t die on me, damn you, that it’s very expensive to buy a coffin for you!
2 annoying me
Before she could continue, the peppy presenter interrupted her kindly...
Theodore Faucheux: Thank you, now would you care to tell us who won the Battle and the reasons for it?

Olga Martínez: Oh, yes, baby, I am going to tell you the person who won this battle thingy. By the way, mama, ay mama lemme tell you that it was very, very hard to pick a winner. Woop-woop, ow! But out of 7 to 2, we chose Higher...

Image

Olga Martínez: ...because I was drunk and Manamma was high (She covers her mouth, surprised, as if she said something that shouldn’t be said.) Oops, sorry, you shouldn’t know that! Se me olvidó que3 she is not an Axuvian crackhead. But we love the lyrics, the tune, the everything. I can make…(looks at her cue cards, squinting a little so she can tunnel her vision)um…love to a song like this. I love it! (blows air kisses) Mwah, mwah, mwah! I hope you love it and it was a great experience. We hope we can do this again next year. It was very, very fun.

I almost forgot that3

The audience cheers naturally as they thought Olga had finished her...piece.
Theodore Faucheux: Thank you so much for pa-

Olga Martínez: And by the way, the Brito-niche are very, very cute, and I am very, very surprised that they love big breasted Achaean woman (touches her breasts) like me. Woop-woop, ow! You know what? I should perform in Ghiez soon. Goodbye! Mwah! I love you all!

Theodore Faucheux: Thanks for calling us cute and perhaps you should come perform in Ghiez - I'm sure they'll be queuing around the block for you. Thanks again.

Theodore took a big deep breath as Olga was cut off from the livestream. They didn't expect her to speak for as long as she did. Theo closed his eyes for a second before continuing...
Theodore Faucheux: ...well that was certainly something, wasn't it?

BATTLE FIVE - ESTOGIUM

Theodore Faucheux: Last but not least we are heading over to Estogium for Battle Number Five. We have WorldVision Song Contest 67 Estogian representative, Jakob Fletcher ready to tell us the goss from The Estograd! Good Evening Estogium!

Jakob Fletcher: Hey Theo! How are you doing, my lovely! This indeed is The Estograd calling and we are so very happy to be here. The songs of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020 have been fantastic and I am pleased to be head of the Estogian Jury.

Theodore Faucheux: Well you're welcome haha! Could we please have the winners of Battle Number Five?!?

Jakob Fletcher: Of course you can, my dear! With 5 votes to 4, very close, the winner of the final Battle is...Krysten Phearson!

Image

There was a gasp in the audience as Krysten Phearson was announced over Rigas Jengiz, who was the favourite - by far - to qualify. Theo blinked twice when he heard Jakob but tried to keep neutral.
Theodore Faucheux: Thank you to the Estogian Jury! Have a good night!

Jakob Fletcher: No, thank you!

Eventually the audience cheered as Krysten Phearson joined the qualifiers of the Battle Stage who all stood to the side of Theodore Faucheux on the stage.
Theodore Faucheux: And there we have it. The qualifiers of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020 Battle Stage are Katie Reece Boyst, Shards of Diamonds, TOULOUSE, Petre Lemetre and Krysten Phearson. Congratulations to you all. Not next week but the week after that...the 4th April 2020...we head to Alshkan's Halvenhavlve Arena for the 5th Grand Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile, where these 5 brilliant acts will join the 7 other acts to make a grand total of 12 - the largest Grand Final ever! The Running Order will be published at 12 AM so keep awake if you wanna be the first to see it. But from all of us here at Vha Mehlodhivestoile, stay safe, wash your hands and we will see you in a couple of weeks! Thanks!

Image
THE OFFICIAL RUNNING ORDER FOR THE GRAND FINAL OF VM2020
Image
After four weeks, we can confirm the GF Running Order: Martina Hacer will open the show while Shards of Diamonds will close.

The Running Order for the Grand Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020 has finally been announced. Starting off the show is Martina Hacer with her up-tempo entry, "Bailando". Performing 2nd, in what has been the returnees slot, for now, the third year running, is the 3rd place entry from 2019, Jun-iči Hoch & Ekkehard Liinamaa with their song "Exorcist". If we move onto the third act, we will find Battle Stage qualifier, Katie Reece-Boyst with her song, "Clarity". Running Order #3 has been the most successful in the Grand Final as it has won in both 2016 and recently at the 2019 edition. Performing in 4th place is Lucie Dagenham, who will be singing her song "Paradigm" alongside AY:KO. Their song will wrap up the first third of songs as we go to a break in the schedule here. We then re-open with TOULOUSE with their Britonish track, "SECROUSSUÉ" which is bound to get the crowd moving. Performing 6th is Krysten Phearson who mercilessly knocked out World Hit Festival champion, Rigas Jengiz, from the competition. She will be hoping to cause a shock in Alshkan on the 4th April 2020. Petre Lemetre will be performing "Higher" in 7th place, position which won the 2018 edition of Vha Mehlodhivestoile...can it win again? Next up is Justs Prazeres, who represented us at WorldVision 49. Justs will perform his song "Poison", which qualified directly to the Grand Final. He closes proceedings for the middle group of songs. We reopen with Kelsey Banques and her song "Indestructible" which has garnered loads of interest from Britonisea and beyond. Tobias Noah, the first qualifier to qualify from death spot 6th in Semi-Final 2 performs in 10th place in the Alshkan with his song, "Stronger". 10th place won Vha Mehlodhivestoile back in 2017 as well - will it win again here? KAYLEY is performing 11th in the Grand Final with her song "Beautiful" after qualifying straight to the Grand Final in Semi-Final 1. Finally, Shards of Diamonds will close the evening with their song "Full of Surprises".

It's set to be a spectacular evening in Alshkan. Who will win? We will find out on the 4th April 2020!
