OLA WILL REPRESENT BESEN AT THE 80TH WORLDVISION SONG CONTEST
Image
This morning, BSB announces their awaited return to the Worldvision Song Contest with some huge news... OLA will represent Besen at the 80th edition of the contest.
It has been long suspected that OLA would eventually return to the competition that made her a big star in her country. Her last venture was in WV71, where she returned home with a silver glow after finishing second with her dance track, "Durem (La La)".

Currently, it is unknown which song she will perform, but it is highly likely she will enter with a track from her recently released album "Herstory". Fans have already carefully dissected the tracklist to find the song they think is going to compete. Fan site, bessyvision.com say "Fussy" is the song OLA has chosen. We'll know for sure when she makes her song announcement on February 14th... we can't wait, how about you?

OLA: I'm so ready to return to this glorious stage that I have come to love and worship. I can't wait to let you know some more details about my song and the peformance, I'm bringing it this contest.

OFFICIAL BID FOR WorldVision Song Contest 80 | MARINA POINT, NEKONI
"Shape the Future!"

A new decade dawns upon us, friends. With the new Twenties comes a changing of the guard, the start of a new era, and a chance for us all to dream about our worlds will progress, technologically, musically and culturally. It's been a long time since we have been able to dream such wild dreams, and wonder about what may seem so far and alien to us now, but will be, in just a few years time, as familiar as the air that we breathe. Based on the last decades, technology has certainly come on exponentially in leaps and bounds, so what better way to celebrate the new decade than to look back and be inspired by the decade that caused the greatest technological shift known to man? That's why, for one night only, the spirit of the eighties shall be coming back to Nekoni's coastal jewel! But what of the jewel?

THE CITY
Image

It's very easy to work out why the delegation at NTR chose Marina Point. The second largest city in Nekoni, host to just over one million, the city marks the very point where the new and the old meet. Running along the Canera sea to the country's northwest, Point Marine (as the locals call it) is home to two very distinct sides. The old town, nestled right in the centre of the city, is a cultural labyrinth, with its miles of cobbled streets hiding delicious food, craft stores and art houses wherever you may roam. The area was fully pedestrianised in 2009 (to counteract the pollution that the once-standing motor racing circuit created just out of town), and with the weather seemingly being that much nicer on the coast, one could be forgiven for taking a quick stroll and accidentally making an entire day out of it.

The main city surrounding it, however, is as modern as they come. As a thriving port city for so many centuries, Mariners have been able to spend their wages on a massive array of amenities, especially along the star of the show: La Grande Plage - a 3-and-a-half kilometre stretch of pure white sandy beach along the sea. Whether your thing is a family attraction, an extreme-sport adventure, a party hotspot or an oasis of pure relaxation, you can be sure that there's some part of the beach just made for you. In fact, every year, conveniently when the WorldVision rolls around, there is the week long beachfront festival, Party Sur La Plage.

THE ARENA
The city has changed a lot since its last attempt to stage the WorldVision, and its main change is to be found here. The once proud home of Nekoni motorsport, the Nekoni International Circuit, was demolished in 2016, and in its place, the country's main television studios were established, Canera City Studios, alongside an entire entertainment complex. In the natural bowl created by extricating what was once the giant Sling turn at the circuit's northeast now stands the 17,000-seat NEXPRO Arena, sponsored by the country's popular bicycle brand. For non-sponsorship purposes, the arena is alternately named the Palais Canera. Whilst the arena was originally designed for sporting events, it has proven more than capable for concert use, which adds an extra 2,000, to make a solid 19,000 maximum capacity venue.

Image

THE CONTEST
We all know that there's a ton of individual working parts that need to fit together to create a successful WorldVision experience. The arguably most important aspect is the staging, and here, we have gone for simplicity.

Image

The main stage follows this design, with a large, raised rectangular stage at the back, two walkways, and a front, smaller stage with a raised plinth in the centre. This front piece will be where the majority of the hosting shall take place, with the voting and winner's trophy ceremony taking the brunt of it, however it may also be used during the performance. As expected, the usual mod cons are catered for, such as fog, dry ice, fire holographical effects and so on. The main stage has a long, curved LED wall for participant use, and for displaying of the results during voting. A novelty for Nekoni this time round is that the gap in the centre of the staging will include an orchestra should the participants need it.

The postcards this year shall require no need for any submittal from participating nations, they shall be all completed in-house. The focal piece of them shall involve a wireframe motif, coloured as per the dominant colour of the nation's flag.

Image

Additionally, the results graphics have been given a retro-inspired retouch...

Image

And so, thus concludes our presentation. We hope you decide upon visiting Nekoni for the WVSC, and we'll promise to make it a contest you'll truly remember! Façonner l'avenir en Pointe Marine!

Lika Dia Heads to WorldVision

After an exciting and tense Kdam-WorldVision, Lika Dia has won the coveted rights to the WorldVision Song Contest, with her sexy song "Red", which earned the most points from the international jury. The 25 year old who is going solo after a small stint in local Kishraeli girl band "El-Kosico" decided to use Kdam as the platform for the release of her song. In second place finished Eitan Ben-Ari, who is expected to accept the invitation to sing at the 50th WorldHit Festival, but this is to be confirmed (in the case it is rejected, third place Lihiminyah will be offered the spot). So far, four of the songs have reached the top 20 in the Kishim charts, the top three and also the song from SAMBUCCA, who continue their trend of popularity in Kishrael but seem unable to appeal to a wider market. Kdam viewing figures fell again this year, achieving 10% of the viewing share and ranking third in its timeslot - still a significant amount, but behind the likes of concurrent "אי אהבה" and "האפייה הגדולה הכישית".

BVC News: VM2020 Acts revealed!

Postby Britonisea » Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:34 pm

BVC MUSIC
Brityunik Vefecosoin Cairkovoin

The 29 Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020 acts have been confirmed!

Britonisea's hit show, Vha Mehlodhivestoile is back for the 5th edition since it's first edition back in 2016. This year, 29 acts will be participating, hoping to represent Britonisea at either the WorldVision Song Contest or World Hit Festival

Vha Mehlodhivestoile is the national final responsible for the majority of Britonisea's WorldVision Song Contest wins. Songs "Centre of Attraction", "Cy Ecouto Teuten Vokse" and most recently "Want You Home", songs that won in 2016, 2018 and 2019 respectively are Britonisea's top three best results to date and BVC/BITC are hoping to add another title to the list. This year there has been a slight change in the format, which comes as no surprise to the fans of Vha Mehlodhivestoile due to changes happening every year to the format to keep it interesting for viewers. A total of 29 participants will be taking to the stage and you can find them below;

Image
Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020: The Class of 2020 is comprimised of 43 artists in 29 acts. 43 artists equal the record set in 2016.

This year, there are quite a few returning acts that we should keep our eyes on. Most notably, the third-place act from Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019, Jun-iči Hoch & Ekkehard Liinamaa will be making a comeback, qualifying straight to the Grand Final after representing Britonisea at the 74th WorldVision Song Contest, where they scored the nation's 7th best result (2nd, 113 points) and so there's excitement surrounding that act. In the 1st Semi-Final, which takes place on the 29th February 2020 - just under two weeks time, former winner, Mya Richardson will be making her stage return, alongside other direct finalists from previous years such as Arvin Dalir, Zoe Wilkinson and KAYLEY among other wonderful artists. In the 2nd Semi-Final which takes place a week later, Etela Tomac, who holds Britonisea's 7th best result at World Hit Festival (2nd, 30 points) opens the show but will have to battle against former World Hit Festival winner, Rigas Jengiz and 6 other strong artists. In the 3rd Semi-Final on the 14th March, Semi-Final 1 2018 direct finalists, Petre Lemetre and Kelsey Banques meet once again, where they rival the likes of popular boy trio, J3 to make the Grand Final taking place in Alshkan.

But first, all eyes turn to the beautiful city of Boschke and their Newbury Park Arena. Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020 begins in less than 2 weeks with the #VM2020 advertisements painting the five host cities of 2020 already. Many nations across the Multiverse will broadcast the contest, and despite the upcoming clashes with the WorldVision Song Contest and World Hit Festival, BVC/BITC are looking at this year being the most-watched to date.

HERE FOR YOU.
OUT NOW
STREAM

After months of speculation from fans, today OLA finally confirmed via twitter that her Worldvision song would be "Here For You." from her newly released album "Herstory". Many had assumed that it would be this song as it seemed to be just right for the contest this year. She wrote on her page:

I'm so glad to finally be able to tell you all that Here For You will be my Worldvision song! It's so personal to me, and I really hope it resonates and connects with you guys too, it's about realising your self-worth and acknowledging that you are never alone and you should never have to be either. I chose this track because I have to get this message out their to the world, it really is something that means a lot to me. So, I can't wait to see you all very very soon...
