Ármand Tungstenãn returns to the parliament peacefully, while the protests supporting him are still raging on: Parliament to vote on the candidacy of Ármand Tungstenãn for Prime Minister

The talks between Ármand Tungstenãn, the Acting Prime Minister of Edereon and the Mayor of Conordo may have moved the crisis in Edereon from a dead-end. Acting Prime Minister managed to convince Ederi MPs to return to the House of Representatives safely. Tungstenãn and the Mayor of Conordo struck a deal that the authorities will provide a safe environment for protests near the parliament to continue peacefully, while MPs would be allowed to calmly return to the House of Representatives without being threatened by the crowd. Under these conditions, Acting Prime Minister and MPs had returned to the parliament, but also Ármand Tungstenãn stepped back in with his premiership ambitions. The leader of the opposition and the man behind the Coral Revolution still thinks that the situation in the Kingdom can be ended, if he gets elected Prime Minister by MPs. That despite being a complete outsider and Tungstenãn’s Third Way opposition party having no seats in parliament or holding office in any government structure in Edereon. Tungstenãn is still shooting for the stars.

New Vesvai Invited To Join MDAA At The Orentan Summit

Image

The MDAA summit in Orentan did not end up being another formal gathering of the alliance’s member states and associate states for another forum-like event, with the only exception of having time dedicated to the Ederi crisis. The alliance is expanding, as associate state New Vesvai has been invited to join the alliance by consensus from full member states. It has been determined that New Vesvai has reached the alliance’s military standards with the aid from those same alliance members. Additionally, the resolution of the conflict on the Island of Vesvai and New Vesvai having no problems with territorial integrity, has also allowed raising the country’s chances to becoming a member.

It has been unfortunate that the other associate state Daredland could not be invited to join MDAA along with New Vesvai, but the problem with the Confederation’s territorial integrity and the loss of control of parts of the Wenigberg region of Daredland to militia and Englean occupation, remains an obstacle for Daredland’s accession. There is little doubt that the obstacle is intentional, as some foreign powers obviously including the Englean Kaiserreich, but also some of their strategic allies, are deliberately keeping Daredi territory occupied in order to block the country’s accession to MDAA. That is why military officials in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia keep promoting the idea of having Daredland accepted into MDAA, but only its’ Freihat-controlled territory, excluding the temporarily occupied territories that are part of the self-proclaimed Weniges Reich.

The Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia is ready to ratify accession protocols of New Vesvai into MDAA, while also having President Léma Tempéstĕr sign those ratified accession protocols to solidify the accession of New Vesvai to MDAA.

In other news:

  • Parliament in Edereon gathers once again after protester storming, set to vote on whether to make protester leader and Third Way opposition party leader Ármand Tungstenãn new Prime Minister.

House of Representatives, with a New Forces of National Union (NFNU) parliamentary majority, reluctantly elects Ármand Tungstenãn Prime Minister under pressure from the protests on the street after refusing to do so the first time

The protesters did not give up after the House of Representatives rejected the candidacy of Third Way party leader and opposition party leader Ármand Tungstenãn the first time. They had continued after the candidacy was rejected. The move was not naïve though even if it had skeptics within government and opposition ranks. It now turns out that the strategy was a successful one. The House of Representatives has elected Ármand Tungstenãn as Prime Minister of Edereon. The parliament did so led by the New Forces of National Union (NFNU) parliamentary majority which the deposed Prime Minister Réli Novicãl and the deposed cabinet were part of. Obviously the NFNU-led parliament has been influenced by protests and what has been called the Coral Revolution.

Freshly appointed Prime Minister-designate Ármand Tungstenãn hasn’t held a political post himself. Neither have any officials from his Third Way party because of how new the opposition party is. Third Way wasn’t created back when the last election took place so it has no seats in the parliament or any local governments. And now its leader is the Prime Minister of Edereon. That’s an unprecedented situation in Ederi politics and Ederi history in general. Ármand Tungstenãn will now have an obligation to follow through with his promise if he becomes Prime Minister. That promise was to declare a snap general election.

NEW VESVAI BROADCASTING

BREAKING: Hopes And Dreams Become Reality: New Vesvai Joins MDAA As Full Member

In a historically anticipated moment New Vesvai has been invited at the MDAA summit in Orentan, Sunrisia to become from associate member to full member of MDAA which finishes New Vesvai’s integration into the alliance. New Vesvai’s representatives at the summit were ecstatic. They soon reported the victory back to New Vesvai’s Prime Minister Hale Aniho who in turn informed the government, the parliament, the opposition and the public. The question for New Vesvai’s parliament will be to ratify the accession protocols for New Vesvai to join MDAA. Full members of MDAA and associate members would also have to ratify the protocols for New Vesvai to join. Associate member Daredland did not receive an invitation to join MDAA this time, only New Vesvai did. But New Vesvai’s representatives asked Daredland as an ally in the Council of 3 not to be disappointed and promised New Vesvai’s support for Daredland’s eventual accession in any future MDAA meetings, Council of 3 meetings and other two-sided or multi-sided meetings involving New Vesvai and Daredland. The primary reason that still kept Daredland out of MDAA, while New Vesvai was let in, was the territorial problems of Daredland related to the Weniges Reich.

Pro-government protesters take to the streets nationwide following the election of Ármand Tungstenãn as Prime Minister, denouncing “sell-out parliament”: Municipality of Conordo increases numbers of police in the capital to avoid clashes

Image

Yesterday’s election by the parliament of Ármand Tungstenãn as Prime Minister may have been seen as a climactic moment of the Coral Revolution, but it turned out not to be the end. Ederi citizens previously seen as being of pro-government orientation or supporting deposed Prime Minister Réli Novicãl and his cabinet, are now escalating their counter-protests. All over the Kingdom, opponents of Tungstenãn’s election as Prime Minister are taking to the streets to voice rejection to the protest leader’s premiership. They’re also denouncing the parliament for “selling out” and electing basically a random outsider, as they see it, to the premiership. As mentioned before, Tungstenãn hasn’t held a political post in the past and his Third Way party hasn’t held offices either because of how new it is and because it hasn’t partaken in any elections yet. There already has been a wide pro-government counter-protest happening in Edereon even since the anti-government protests began, with them also growing during key moments. But now they’re growing at the fastest rate since the crisis began and authorities nationwide fear clashes between anti-government and pro-government protesters, or in this case pro-Tungstenãn and anti-Tungstenãn protests with both growing rapidly. Authorities in capital Conordo specifically and the entire Municipality of Conordo are increasing the numbers of authorities on the streets. Some supporters of Ármand Tungstenãn are calling on him to declare a state of emergency now that he’s Prime Minister.

New Vesvai receives an invitation to join MDAA at the Orentan Summit while Daredland is left to wait

Image

At the MDAA summit in Orentan, Sunrisia New Vesvai has finally been invited to join MDAA. Daredland did not receive an invitation and the nation is left waiting in line. But Daredi representatives at the summit congratulated New Vesvai as a friendly nation on the same path, up until recently a fellow MDAA associate state and a fellow founding member of the Council of 3 together with Daredland and West Zilveren Berg. The representatives of New Vesvai wished Daredland not to worry and promised support to Daredland in the path to MDAA integration.

Before the Orentan summit officials of the Daredi government said that advancing far in Daredland’s MDAA aspirations may not be the case in this summit. Confederal Minister of MDAA Accession of the Daredi Confederation Ramon Bakker said that Daredland is up to par to MDAA standards through its reforms but the alliance will most likely not invite Daredland to join because of the unresolved self-declared Weniges Reich problem and Daredland’s territorial integrity problem. Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Janine Fanning backed up Bakker’s statement and talked about the importance of engaging all parties into Weniges talks within the newly created 4+2 Contact Group. Additionally the Confederal Ministers have voiced words of support from Sunrisian military officials, who have been offering to allow Daredland join MDAA, but only its Freihat-controlled territory leaving the land held by the self-declared Weniges Reich as a temporarily occupied territory of Daredland.

President of the Daredi Confederation Markus Thill instructed Confederal Minister of MDAA Accession of the Daredi Confederation Ramon Bakker and Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection of the Daredi Confederation Thomas Kantenan to oversee, that military reforms continue in Daredland. Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Janine Fanning was instructed to accelerate the talks within the 4+2 Contact Group with all partners so that Daredland is ready to for membership of MDAA next time the alliance gathers for a summit.

Sovereign State Of Vesvai Now Borders MDAA After Neighboring New Vesvai Joins The Military Bloc

Neighbor New Vesvai has completed its integration process into MDAA. The nation has become a member of the Sunrisian-led Corentian military bloc. By first view the situation may not look like it may have altered reality all too much. New Vesvai was already a home to a Sunrisian military base. In fact it was not just any military facility but military command headquarters of the Sunrisian Dogmanan Command for the region of Dogmana or some might refer to it as North Corentia. Also New Vesvai has consistently been the location of free roaming for the troops of MDAA nations and Sunrisia first and foremost. That has especially been the case with the recent conflict on the Island of Vesvai.

New Vesvai had troops from Sunrisia, Edereon, Creperia, Daredland and up until recently West Zilveren Berg. Except for troops from West Zilveren Berg all of the aforementioned forces still remain in New Vesvai. The training base in New Vesvai that was also used for the training of the VTLF rebel group which today has been integrated into the military of the Sovereign State of Vesvai, is today a training base for New Vesvai’s forces and basically converted to an MDAA training base. The facility is basically near the border. Finally the Sunrisian forces stationed at the security belt that’s part of the territory of the Sovereign State of Vesvai are also supplied from New Vesvai’s territory. All of that has been a reality before New Vesvai’s accession to the bloc so but it would be naïve to consider that New Vesvai becoming part of MDAA’s territory is not a game changer.

Representative for International Affairs of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Edward Pasenta said that the Sovereign State of Vesvai now official bordering MDAA is a reality that has to be acknowledged. But Representative Pasenta also noted that MDAA’s expansion and enlargement towards Vesvai’s borders is the point where the military bloc has achieved its limit and said MDAA will hopefully acknowledge the security interests of the Sovereign State of Vesvai for the sake of a positive neighborly relationship. Finally Pasenta reminded Sunrisia of its commitment to withdraw forces from the security belt of the Sovereign State of Vesvai and reestablish the territorial integrity of the Sovereign State of Vesvai.

To strategically counterbalance MDAA the Sovereign State of Vesvai is still technically a member of ROVAA but the membership remains suspended as an outcome of the recent of conflict on the Island of Vesvai. Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Robert Praesedit has appealed to Vice Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Acido Soran and the officials that were formally aligned to Soran in the Round Table–Free Vesvai political organization to make a case for MDAA and whether the Sovereign State of Vesvai can be in friendly coexistence with the military bloc.

President Léma Tempéstĕr Withdraws The Sunrisian Peacekeeping Force On The Vesvai Parallel (SPFVP) From The Border Of Vesvai And New Vesvai

After holding his first National Defense Council meeting, President Léma Tempéstĕr informed the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia that he would be withdrawing the Sunrisian Peacekeeping Force on the Vesvai Parallel (SPFVP) from the Sovereign State of Vesvai in accordance with an agreement reached with that country and out of refusal to be a permanently-stationed foreign occupational force on another country’s territory without its’ consent. Which is why, the President is withdrawing the peacekeepers now and with no conditions.

The Convet criticized President Léma Tempéstĕr and insisted that Sunrisia should withdraw after the Sovereign State of Vesvai holds democratic elections or declares democratic elections, but not earlier. Speaker of the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Flórên Infána repeated the old criticism of the young President, only being 29 years of age, being inexperienced. The tension between President Léma Tempéstĕr and the Convet keeps advancing the talks that the President wants the legislature dissolved and for a snap legislative election to be held.

His Majesty King Glac Crustal IV addresses the nation

Fellow Ederis. I come before you again. I ask you to calm down. I understand that this political situation is unusual and many feel wronged. And I am talking about citizens on all sides. I am talking about citizens that came out before and felt like the political reality at that time wasn’t representing them. They wanted change. I also understand those coming out now and feeling like their democratic choice has been overturned. We now feel very confrontational with each other but the reality is that we are only diving ourselves. And that mustn’t be the case. We mustn’t follow individual interest or even an interest of a group. We are a nation and we can’t allow this division to get the better of us. And I think all of us can see that this is exactly where the Kingdom of Edereon is headed. This has to stop.

I call on all Ederis to accept one fact right now even if you are of opposite opinion. Edereon now has a new Prime Minister. That person is Prime Minister Ármand Tungstenãn. Even if you thought and still think that your Prime Minister is Réli Novicãl, I can understand that. The reality is that he no longer is. You are also disappointed by the parliament and their input into this unusual situation. You are upset about the parliament’s acceptance of a new Prime Minister, who is a political outsider. Just acknowledge the fact that the parliament fought until the end and MPs risked their lives and their general security. What matters right now is to accept reality and see how it can benefit all.

The reality is that the new Prime Minister Ármand Tungstenãn recognizes the nation’s division and is initiating ways how to patch the divide. The Prime Minister and his followers along with supporters are not taking away Ederi democracy. He still wants your approval and for his true approval to be measured in a free and fair race. That’s why the Prime Minister is promising a snap general election. Let’s support him and allow him to declare it and on the day when that snap election comes, arrive and vote however you want. That’s when we will find out if the majority of Ederis support what is now being called the Coral Revolution or whether the silent majority is on the side of the status quo or just on the side of anybody else but the Prime Minister.

Severenica autonomy referendum begins in the north of Baggnagia

Image

Image

NORTHERN PROVINCES, BAGGNAGIA – Baggnagians in the northern provinces of the Democratic Republic have gone to the polls. They’re voting in a referendum on whether to give the northern political formation of Baggnagian provinces: Severenica an autonomous status. The historical region of Severenica stands out as a center of Orthodox culture in Baggnagia with the Eastern Orthodox church and Cyrillic alphabet dominating more than in other parts of Baggnagia (except for Pamerava which is also culturally similar to Severinica). Both Severenica and Pamerava were part of North Baggnagia during the division period with the City of Neodvisni in today’s Pamerava being a South Baggnagian exclave.

The autonomy referendum in Severenica is happening under safe conditions protected from the RETRIT-20 and PVAX-20 viruses. These are still necessary conditions to take despite Baggnagia undergoing vaccinations. The situation in the nation has been improving overall so politicians are saying that the pandemic and quarantine reality will not have to follow Baggnagia and the lives of Baggnagians for much longer. As for the prospects of the Severenica autonomy referendum opinion polls suggest that it is going to pass although there have been days when the Yes and No positions were split down the middle of the No camp even overtook the Yes camp. But for the most part support for the autonomy of Severenica had dominated over the support for status quo.

Prime Minister Ármand Tungstenãn addresses the nation

Ederi citizens, fellow countrymen. You probably heard our monarch His Majesty King Glac Crustal IV and his address yesterday. I would like to just casually and simply invite you to hear what the King had to say and reconsider your current position from pure emotion to logic and realizing that things will get better. But if that’s not enough I would like to invite you to hear me out. We are on the verge of serious division here. We must stop before the gap widens and we’re unable to stop. We must have this conversation now before we fall deeper into crisis and we can’t exit it or at least have a very difficult time exiting it, when casualties and sacrifices will be impossible to avoid.

It’s obvious not all of you have accepted me but I want to be all of yours Prime Minister. Only a fool or a propagandist would try to make it seem otherwise. Our democracy isn’t going anywhere. The Coral Revolution is the ultimate symbol of democracy in Edereon and a symbol that it’s still alive and not going anywhere. I promised all Ederis to serve them, even if you are against me right now. I have promised all Ederis that I will declare a snap general election and if people aren’t welcoming me or our party, they can show this in that election. We will see where the majority of our people land. That’s what all of this is about. That’s what democracy is. Right now, I ask you. Please let’s stop this. Let’s end the strikes, let’s end rival protests, let’s end policing on the streets. I don’t want to have to declare the state of emergency and I hope we can move forward without me having to do so.

It will all be alright, so let’s stop now. Edereon has entered a new chapter. We’re in liberty again. We have already surpassed a challenge. It’s now time to advance this new chapter forward as an opportunity given to us as a gift, maybe from a higher force beyond our comprehension. Let us stop and step back. We’re Edereon. We have overcome a lot and we’ll overcome this.

Prime Minister Of The Union Of Oblaren And Herbora Jonathan Mollisal Calls On The Sunrisian Government To Lift Sanctions Against Oblaren and Herbora

Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Jonathan Mollisal has called on the new Sunrisian administration to lift sanctions imposed against the Union of Oblaren and Herbora. The Prime Minister asked new Sunrisian President Léma Tempéstĕr to influence the process of the Sunrisian government removing its nation’s sanctions from Oblaren and Herbora. PM Jonathan Mollisal argues that Sunrisia originally imposed sanctions on the Dominion of Vesvai before the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai was created. Then Sunrisia expanded those sanctions to affect the entire Union. But now the ironic outcome is that the Sovereign State of Vesvai broke away from the Union and is sanctions-free while the remaining Union of Oblaren and Herbora is still under sanctions that were originally meant for Aurisi and not for Fortwel. PM Mollisal invited the new Sunrisian President to take a look at this and fix the situation to stabilize inter-state relations which have been complicated to say the least. Minister of Defense of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Varsi Polvandet added that Sunrisia should also speed up the process of withdrawing military assets from the Sovereign State of Vesvai for the sake of regional security and also for the prospect of beginning to move on from the recent conflict on the Island of Vesvai in terms of relationship questions.

Severenica autonomy referendum in the north of Baggnagia results with 57% support for autonomy, 43% opposition to autonomy, 84% turnout

Image

Image

NORTHERN PROVINCES, BAGGNAGIA – Citizens of Baggnagia in the north of the nation have voted in the Severenica autonomy referendum. The results have been counted and it’s official that 57% have expressed support for autonomy while 43% oppose autonomy. The total turnout in the referendum has been quite large 84%. The number of undecided voters or ruined ballots hasn’t been publicized yet. Since the referendum was no a consultative one it means that the Baggnagian government is required to react and act accordingly to its outcome. The historic region of Severenica with its clear determined borders will have to be given an autonomous status with local self-governance. President (Speaker) of the Chamber of Deputies Syamyon Hahn said that the parliament will have to give Severenica autonomy through legal vote while the constitution will have to be amended to include Severenica as a legal political subject of Baggnagia with clear rights.

Baggnagians to continue receive treatment in Sunrisia despite national vaccination

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Prime Minister Vyacheslav Koch has said that Baggnagians will continue to receive treatment in Sunrisia. This would continue after the most recent dialogue between the Baggnagian government and the new Sunrisian administration with its new president. This has been agreed to be the Baggnagian strategy even though there’s national vaccination happening in Baggnagia. Prime Minister Koch stated that the national vaccination has dramatically eased the strain on Baggnagian healthcare and the nation is getting back up from the pre-vaccine pandemic days. But it’s also still early for Baggnagia to get back to entirely relying on its own healthcare for treating the sick and Sunrisian aid by treating Baggnagians across the ocean is helping greatly. According to the Prime Minister this also appears to be an official Baggnagian strategy agreed on by the head of government and also by President Stanislav Smoler. It’s a known fact that the president and the prime minister recently had a conflict over the approach towards battling RETRIT-20 and PVAX-20. But that has apparently either ended or subsided because there’s a consensus between both leaders at least in cooperation with Sunrisia on battling the pandemic.

Prime Minister Ármand Tungstenãn declares snap general election

Newly appointed Prime Minister Ármand Tungstenãn appeared before the House of Representatives today. He appeared with the task of fulfilling the promise he made in the recent address to Ederi citizens. The Prime Minister declared a snap general election for a not yet specified time which would be clarified in the upcoming days. The head of government asked the MPs to support this with a vote. It was of course hasn’t been easy for PM Ármand Tungstenãn to get along with the parliament which represents the government that protest and opposition leader Ármand Tungstenãn led a Coral Revolution against. But PM Ármand Tungstenãn clarified to the parliament that he will not be able to step the prosters from storming in again if the parliament fails to support his declaration of the snap general election. And that’s how it happened.

PM Ármand Tungstenãn appealed to supporters and protesters supporting PM Tungstenãn’s deposed predecessor former Prime Minister Réli Novicãl, to end strikes now that there is going to be a snap general election where everybody on opposite sides of the conflict right now, will all be able to elect the next government for all Ederis. It might take time for this appeal from the Prime Minister to become effective, because not even his supporters have been ending the strikes, not to mention opponents of PM Ármand Tungstenãn and supporters of Tungstenãn’s deposed predecessor former Prime Minister Réli Novicãl.

With the absence of a cabinet which was forced into resignation by the Coral Revolution, the strategy right now for the Office of the Prime Minister is to give time and expect that people will start ending the strikes. But if they do not, there might be a second address needed to remind the Ederi public that the general election has been declared and peace should return.

President Léma Tempéstĕr Asks Public For Support In Achieving Early Legislative Election

While Edereon just had a snap general election declared by a new Prime Minister over there, the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia is in a partially similar situation. President Léma Tempéstĕr is determined to fulfill his promise of holding an early legislative election, which the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia is not too thrilled about, but will follow through with constitutional and democratic requirements. President Léma Tempéstĕr and the Convet already had tensions between them before the young President was inaugurated and it continued since his inauguration into the presidency. Because Sunrisia is a semi-presidential system and the Convet has a lot of weight among the branches of the government, President Léma Tempéstĕr has appealed to Sunrisian citizens to support him in convincing the Convet to agree to an early legislative election. As a counter-move, Speaker of the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Flórên Infána asked Sunrisian citizens to support the current Convet and allow it to finish it’s term, which is only half-way done.

President Tempéstĕr said his administration would keep the cabinet that he had inherited from impeached President Addél Dîlectên, which also served during the acting presidency of former Vice President Césâ Gáûdĕr, who temporarily took over after President Dîlectên was impeached. President Tempéstĕr explained that additional reasoning behind keeping the current cabinet from the previous administration, is also because the President wishes to appoint a new cabinet with the approval of the new Convet after the early legislative election he seeks, which is why the head of state would not be appointing a new cabinet in cooperation with the current Convet.

President Léma Tempéstĕr had the following to say:

I have nothing personal against the lawmakers in the current Convet. I made it clear personally and I hope the colleagues in the Sunrisian government understood that clearly. However, I made a promise to my voters to start anew and I will follow through with that promise. And now I ask support from the Sunrisian people in allowing me to achieve this, because the constitution does not allow me to do this single-handedly. Let us not use up too much time on this, because all of us, as Sunrisians, have greater tasks to attend to. The future awaits us.

In other news:

  • Spokesperson for the Department of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Lícīd Tâbélĕr: “Sunrisia will have to review whether Oblaren and Herbora has cancelled the policies, which made us impose all our sanctions up to the current embargo against Fortwel in the first place.

Will West Zilveren Berg Face Early Elections?

With the protests in Edereon, nicknamed the Coral Revolution, leading to an early general election and new President Léma Tempéstĕr in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia seeking an early legislative election in his confrontation with the Convet, there are now talks or theories questioning if West Zilveren Berg could possibly expect early elections? These talks are being raised by West Zilveren Berg’s opposition in a pre-election confrontation with the coalition government of Alliance of New West Zilveren Berg (ANWZB), Union of National Liberals and National Democrats (UNLND), National Movement for West Zilveren Progress (NMWZP) and Alternative Democratic Liberal Party of West Zilveren Berg (ADLPWZB), a coalition government which itself will be running for re-election as the Democratic Unity (DU) electoral bloc or political alliance.

There has been no comment from government officials towards this possibility and so far all elections appear to be scheduled for the regular day. The opposition also hasn’t taken an official strategy towards pushing the elections forward, because opposition parties have, on the contrary, been cautious about the current government being re-elected easier, because of its’ success with reunifying West and South Zilveren Berg. At the same time, there has been some discussion thrown around about early elections, solely because the people of the South have join the West and are now governed by authorities they have not elected. However, opponents of the early election initiative see it as unproductive and the elections already being close enough, which would not make any sense for them to be pushed up in the current date.

President Léma Tempéstĕr Calls Up The “Lustration Tribunal”

Image

President Léma Tempéstĕr has given his first address to the nation as inaugurated President of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia:

My fellow Sunrisians,

Today I am going to follow through with an unprecedented procedure in our country’s history, related to the process of lustration. Right now, a collective of NGO’s are investigating the Sunrisian government and our state institutions like the intelligence agencies and military, as well as police, while simultaneously being investigated back by those same structures. Whereas NGO’s are also investigating each other and government along with state institutions that the NGO’s are investigating, are also everybody investigating each other. It is very confusing, but basically everybody is investigating everybody, state actors and non-state actors. The Convet is investigating the administrations of my predecessors, I do not rule that my own administration would be investigated although I will not have my own cabinet until the investigation is over. PID is investigating the Convet, while also investigating the Superior Court. Everybody is investigating everybody. It is confusing. We have been covering this, so if it is still difficult to follow it, I can completely understand you.

Point it, to finally gather all of these parallel investigations and their documents in a single location, so that we could together trace out people, who have worked in previous governments and regimes that existed on Sunrisian land before the formation of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, I am calling up the “Lustration Tribunal.” It is going to be an independent body, which will evaluate the findings of all these parallel investigations that our country’s governmental and non-government bodies, state actors and non-state actors, launched against each other. I call on everybody to present their findings and we will not tolerate any sort of attempts to not contribute to the “Lustration Tribunal” if you think that something about you or your allies might be exposed at this. We are non-violently cleansing our nation of politicians and state servants from past regime’s and you will be exposed. Attempting to hide will not work, because we will find you and you’ll face criminal charges. But if you just partake, the worst thing that can happened to you, is loss of right to be elected.

Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Debates Returning To The Rhodeve Commonwealth And Continuing ROVAA Membership After Self-Suspension

Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Robert Praesedit and Vice Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Acido Soran have presided over a meeting of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress dedicated to the questions of membership in ROVAA and the Rhodeve Commonwealth. Representative for International Affairs of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Edward Pasenta was a special guest of honor and an official given most time to speak to.

To low enthusiasm of Vice Chairman Acido Soran the suggestion made by International Affairs Representative Edward Pasenta calls for Vesvai to end its suspension and continue membership in ROVAA. Even if Oblaren and Herbora as a recent adversary in an armed conflict is still part of the organization both nations are trying to peacefully coexist on the same island after signing the New Kengara Memorandum as a peace treaty. Chairman Robert Praesedit welcomed the idea.

International Affairs Representative Pasenta suggested reintegrating back into the Rhodeve Commonwealth now that Vesvai is no longer in the Union of Oblaren and Herbora. Chairman Robert Praesedit expressed skepticism while Vice Chairman Acido Soran showed neutrality towards the idea. Chairman Robert Praesedit suggested Vesvai could make attempts on its own behalf to apply back into the Commonwealth as a full member or an observer but it will also depend whether the Commonwealth will wanted Vesvai back. Especially now since the Commonwealth appears to be internally occupied and not so active in international affairs recently.

Convet Agrees To An Early Legislative Election

Image

Convet (legislature/parliament) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia.

On behalf of the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, Speaker of the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Flórên Infána has finally announced that the legislature has agreed to an early legislative election. The lawmakers have “submitted” to the insistence of President Léma Tempéstĕr on an early legislative election and also to public pressure, which has developed from Sunrisian citizens, after the President called on supporters to back his call for an early legislative election. Sunrisians around the country have started staging demonstrations to support the President in his quest for an early legislative election. To avoid a political crisis like in neighboring Edereon, the Convet has agreed to an early legislative election.

The specific date has not been agreed on. It will still be a topic of discussion and debate, with the date being specified as time moves along. Most likely it will be announced in the upcoming days or weeks. Speaker Flórên Infána is set to speak at the Convet on the topic of early election, with President Léma Tempéstĕr also set to address the Convet, with the theme of finding peace between the administration of the President and the Convet. It is expected that the President will be asking supporters to end demonstrations that started, when he asked for support for his call for an early election.

Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Votes To Continue ROVAA Membership After Self-Suspension

The Pan-Vesvaite National Congress has voted to continue the membership of the Sovereign State of Vesvai in ROVAA after self-suspension as a result of the recent conflict on the Island of Vesvai. This came as a vote that had nearly split the National Congress in half. The “yes” camp was led by Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Robert Praesedit and “no” camp was led by Vice Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Acido Soran. In the final vote the number of National Congress members supporting the return to ROVAA outweighed those opposing. With this success Chairman Robert Praesedit has suggested to hold the same vote on membership in Rhodeve-led organizations like the Rhodeve Commonwealth which the Chairman said Vesvai also wants to return to.

President Léma Tempéstĕr Adopts The Second Moderate Doctrine

LIVE BROADCAST

President Léma Tempéstĕr has just announced from the Presidential Palace that the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia is changing its’ foreign policy. The head of state is changing the course from harsh isolationism and confrontation with the outside world that has developed around the late 2010 and is adopting what has been called – the Second Moderate Doctrine. It is a constitution of what is now called the First Moderate Doctrine, which was a Sunrisian foreign policy doctrine from 1994 to 2010, a friendlier and coexisting foreign policy with the outside world, having fallen apart in late 2010 as nationalism, isolationism, anti-Western and anti-Eastern foreign policy with more confrontation took over. President Tempéstĕr is now ending that era and returning to peace and normalcy with a new doctrine, which is being called the Second Moderate Doctrine, but historians suggest might also be named the Tempéstĕr Doctrine, making the young President part of history from the early days of his presidency.

Here is the statement of President Léma Tempéstĕr from the Presidential Palace on adopting the Second Moderate Doctrine:

Fellow Sunrisians,

It is time for us to open a new chapter. I think that by this time, the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic has shown to many of you that this isolation, that we have been in, and I am talking about our ideological isolation and not the anti-virus measures, have not been the answer. For Sunrisia to progress and survive, closing ourselves off will not achieve anything. It only creates a cynical policy internally and externally and that goes against Sunrisian nature, because we are and have been many things, but never a cynical people. It is quite the opposite. We are among the most hopeful and optimistic nations on the planet and we have a mission to help project that across the planet as well. Isolation goes against that mission. Isolation is not the only way to protect our sovereignty, territorial integrity and our values against negative cultural influences from the outside. Openness cannot break who we are and never will. Many of you might disagree with me now, but you will see the positive change. Therefore, from today, I am declaring the adoption of a new foreign policy doctrine – the Second Moderate Doctrine. Our confrontation with the international community, which we have been in since around late 2010, is over. We will be cooperating with the rest of the world for a better world and a better tomorrow.

Speaker of the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Flórên Infána already had an early reaction to the President declaration of a new doctrine:

The President is on the right path and I can see the positive intentions, but the important thing is for it to not backfire. And that is also one of the missions that we have, as another governmental branch within the system of checks and balances. Sunrisian adversaries and rogue states of the world must not take this as a sign of weakness and us being tired of counter-balancing the evils of the world, because we will be tested and all of us know that. I hope the President understands that as well, but in case the commander-in-chief is too young and inexperienced, as I have said before, that is why we have other branches of the government and until early elections come, we can still do what we can in our current positions and even if we get pushed into the opposition.

Germanic Union (GU) opposition coalition calls on the Daredi government to switch foreign policy away from MDAA and SOWEFTA towards the Englean Empire

Image

The Germanic Union (GU) opposition coalition has staged its own counter-demonstration in Freihat aimed against the decreasing but still existing anti-government demonstration. The GU demonstration despite it being an opposition force has staged a pro-government demonstration to counter the anti-government demonstration as mentioned before. The demonstration by GU is held with anti-MDAA and anti-SOWEFTA sentiment to encourage the Daredi government to turn away the foreign policy from integration into these organizations.

This message from GU is coming after Daredland did not get a membership and accession invitation at the most recent MDAA summit in Orentan in Sunrisia. GU has been trying to appeal to the Klare Sicht-led government and convince it to review the foreign policy trajectory. GU is supporting a more ‘eastern-oriented’ foreign policy and sights deeper relations with the Englean Empire as making more sense for Daredland culturally and historically along with economic, political and social perspectives that such a foreign policy would bring. Supposedly it could help solve the Weniges problem according to GU. Members of GU are citing the success and progress that the Klare Sicht-led government made in achieving a thaw and relations improvement with the Englean Empire.

But the Daredi government doesn’t seem to respond accordingly so far. Confederal Chancellor Daci Bauer said that Daredland is ‘following the path of Corentian integration and still seeks to join both MDAA and SOWEFTA.’

Riot Police in Conordo help prevent clashes between pro-Tungstenãn demonstrators and anti-Tungstenãn protesters

Image

Today riot police in Conordo helped prevent the first physical clash between pro-Tungstenãn demonstrators and anti-Tungstenãn protesters. The first possible clash between supporters and opponents of the new Prime Minister may have pushed the peaceful character of the Coral Revolution in Edereon outside its peaceful and bloodless roots. Right now the police are keeping the situation under control. But the streets of Conordo and many cities in Edereon still have a lot of people gathered there. Competing demonstrations in support and opposition to the change in premiership continue. This is despite both new Prime Minister Ármand Tungstenãn and King Glac Crustal IV addressing Ederis and asking for peace and to end the confrontation. The Municipality of Conordo has thanked the police for their work in Conordo and surrounding cities and towns during protests.

Prime Minister Of The Union Of Oblaren And Herbora Jonathan Mollisal Welcomes Vesvai’s Return To ROVAA

Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Jonathan Mollisal has responded positively to Vesvai’s return to ROVAA. The head of government reacted to the decision by Vesvai to continue its suspended membership in ROVAA which Oblaren and Herbora is also a member of. He also welcomed the statement by Vesvai’s Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Robert Praesedit to move on from confrontation between Fortwel and Aurisi by treating the return to ROVAA as a partial positive gesture in that direction. Finally the Prime Minister said that Oblaren and Herbora and he personally would welcome Vesvai’s intention to accede back to the Rhodeve Commonwealth. Oblaren and Herbora wouldn’t follow in the same path because of the Union wishing to remain disassociated from the Rhodeve monarchy which has influence in the Commonwealth. Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal welcomed the fact that Vesvai appears to be heading in the right direction in foreign policy and also said that Oblaren and Herbora would seek to reciprocate the positive relationship as neighbors by moving away from Fortwel and Aurisi rivalry post-conflict.

BREAKING: Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Passes The Fundamental Rules Of The Realm

Pan-Vesvaite National Congress has passed the Fundamental Rules of the Realm as an equivalent of the constitution. The vote took place under the watch of Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Robert Praesedit. The main difference from a regular constitution that might’ve been adopted before the question was settled is that the Fundamental Rules of the Realm establishes the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress as the main ruling body of the Sovereign State of Vesvai. The National Congress doesn’t plan to return the old constitution of the Dominion of Vesvai or to draft a new constitution for the Sovereign State of Vesvai that could mimic the old one.

Supposedly it took some hard negotiation with Vice Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress Acido Soran for the vote to happen but in the end Praesedit was able to convince Soran. Chairman Robert Praesedit commended Vice Chairman Acido Soran and colleagues in the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress in understanding how important unity and stability were in the current period of Vesvai’s history. That includes a strong governmental structure like what the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress has managed to be. That’s why it is important to fortify the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress in the Fundamental Rules of the Realm and only get ready for changes when the time is right. Right now Vesvai is still in the process of advancing its statehood after having exited the Union with Oblaren which right now has become the Union of Oblaren and Herbora.

Chairman Robert Praesedit asked the Representation for Domestic Affairs of the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress to make sure that the situation in the Sovereign State of Vesvai remains stable and peaceful if there are street-based provocations aiming to challenge the adoption of the Fundamental Rules of the Realm. Chairman Robert Praesedit said that right now Vesvai must remain united after having just achieved sovereignty and now building its state foundation.
