Léma Tempéstĕr, Young Opponent Of Acting Head Of State President Césâ Gáûdĕr, Elected President In Run-Off Voting

LIVE BROADCAST

Image

The decisive second round in the early presidential election in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia has concluded and Sunrisians have picked their President. The votes were counted and it is now official that Léma Tempéstĕr, a 29-year-old former web designer and photographer for an Orentan-based newspaper, member of the Youth of the Nation (YN) political and social movement and now also political party from the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, has been declared the next President of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, defeating the opponent President Césâ Gáûdĕr, acting head of state.

Acting head of state President Césâ Gáûdĕr garnered 37.5 in the run-off, while opponent Léma Tempéstĕr garnered 62.5%, thus winning the presidency. This has made history as S unrisia will now have one of its’ youngest heads of states, despite having had young leaders before. An outsider will be legally entering the system now to see how it looks from the inside and maybe help fix it or make it work. Acting head of state President Césâ Gáûdĕr has yet to concede by admitting defeat and congratulate his opponent on victory. This announcement of the election winner is very fresh surprise news.

Baggnagia now imports the vaccine from Sunrisia and the Kaiserreich

Image

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Surprisingly enough the intention by Baggnagia to begin importing the vaccine from the Englean Kaiserreich didn’t end up just as an intention voiced several times. Jugac and Berlin have agreed on cooperation and Baggnagia will now be importing the Englean vaccine alongside the regularly incoming Sunrisian vaccine. Prime Minister Vyacheslav Koch (who has already received one dose of the Sunrisian vaccine on live television) said that vaccination and health are topics outside politics and national relations. He rejected the notion that Pamerava should serve as an obstacle for Baggnagia and the Kaiserreich to cooperate on the vaccination to beat the disease in Ventismar. The Baggnagian government insists that the larger number of vaccines from different nations will speed up the process of getting the population vaccinated from RETRIT-20 and PVAX-20. So far vaccines from both Sunrisia and the Kaiserreich will help advance that goal.

Baggnagian virus patients in Sunrisia are being vaccinated

SUNRISIA – Before the vaccine was developed Baggnagia was sending a lot of its patients from RETRIT-20 and PVAX-20 to Sunrisia for treatment. Now that the vaccine was developed at least by Sunrisia and the Kaiserreich these patients are receiving the shots in one of the vaccine developing and producing nations. The recovered citizens have been regularly returned to Baggnagia even prior to vaccination after an isolation period post-recovery. Now vaccinated patients would be returning home including the ones having recovered prior to being vaccinated. With the vaccine now in Baggnagia it’s likely that the nation will be decreasing the numbers of patients being sent to Sunrisia because Baggnagia can now treat and vaccinate most of its own citizens with its own effort.

President Stanislav Smoler congratulates elected Sunrisian President Léma Tempéstĕr

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – President Stanislav Smoler has congratulated the winner of the Sunrisian presidential election: Léma Tempéstĕr. Baggnagian president wished that the key and vital strategic alliance for Baggnagia prosper from both sides and said that he hopes for the new Sunrisian colleague to continue making that input that Sunrisia so far has been.

Acting Head Of State President Césâ Gáûdĕr Congratulates Opponent Léma Tempéstĕr On Election Victory

It took more time than usual, but acting head of state President Césâ Gáûdĕr has “conceded” the election and recognized its’ result, congratulating young opponent Léma Tempéstĕr on election victory. The temporary President has stated that the transition from the outgoing Dîlectên/Gáûdĕr administration to a new one would begin almost immediately. The date of “lift-off” for the transition would be Monday. The inauguration of President-elect Léma Tempéstĕr is not intended to happen much later either, unless there are irregularities. Based on the well meaning rhetoric of everybody involved, there should be no irregularities.

The election victory is currently spent by President-elect Léma Tempéstĕr in celebration along with supporters. The defeated party does not appear to be in a negative shape. However, now outgoing acting head of state President Césâ Gáûdĕr does still intend to ask the Superior Court of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia to allow his administration partner – impeached and removed President Addél Dîlectên, to run for another term in the future and for other political offices. President Gáûdĕr is using this opportunity to appeal to the current Superior Court, before the President-elect changes the composition with new judges. And yet, the current Superior Court’s decision is not necessarily immune to the future Superior Court overruling it, although, every Superior Court has the obligation to uphold the constitution. In the case of the impeached and removed President’s ability to run for future office, that is one of the debatable questions.

Joining the ranks of youngest leaders in Sunrisian history and being the youngest in years at just 29 years of age, candidate Léma Tempéstĕr represented the construction of a new political era for internal and international politics. The President-elect has been aware of this and that is why he insisted that as President he would bring about the expectations against stagnation and staying in one place politically. While being on good terms with the outgoing administration rhetorically, the President-elect intends to confront the outgoing administration and the current legislature and assist in fulfilling the multilateral “lustration investigation.”

Chairman Robert Praesedit Says The Sovereign State Of Vesvai Would Have A Slightly More Neutral Foreign Policy But Would Largely Stay The Same As The Dominion

Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaian National Congress Robert Praesedit declared a foreign policy doctrine of the Sovereign State of Vesvai. The Chairman announced that the Sovereign State of Vesvai would largely retain the foreign policy of the Dominion of Vesvai but keep it slightly more neutral. Vesvai will refrain from returning to being a fully commitment member of ROVAA and the Rhodeve Commonwealth like it was before entering the Union with Oblaren. Now Vesvai has the sovereign choice to do so. But Vesvai will refrain according to the doctrine in order to have normal relations with the nations of MDAA and SOWEFTA. But in large Vesvai would wish to retain and advance alliances with Aznazia, Rhodevus, Belantica, Englean Kaiserreich, Rezua, Talvistova and other nations in this power bloc direction. An option to return to ROVAA remains by keeping a suspended and non-severed membership. Many believe that Vesvai would not return to ROVAA because the Union of Oblaren and Herbora is a member and recent history would make it “awkward.” Chairman Robert Praesedit says that the nations have agreed to turn a new page as neighbors. Vesvai might also seek to acquiring an observer status in the Rhodeve Commonwealth. Vesvai’s diplomacy intends to begin these engagements despite New Vesvai’s and Sunrisia’s troops still at the so-called “security belt”.

Prime Minister Of The Union Of Oblaren And Herbora Jonathan Mollisal Suggests Beana Villano For Minister Of The Interior Of The Union Of Oblaren And Herbora

Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Jonathan Mollisal has nominated Beana Villano who is former Prime Minister of New Vesvai and now a politician of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora for Minister of the Interior of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora. The Prime Minister is confident that Villano can ensure internal stability of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora which the predecessor Union of Oblaren and Vesvai couldn’t survive. Additionally the separation of Vesvai from the Union has brought about the shake-up in the political elite which now needs new officials to be added in many positions. According to PM Jonathan Mollisal the Union’s Interior Ministry just regularly can’t stay with the same officials because of the previous Interior Ministry’s inability to defeat the insurgency that contributed to the Union’s territorial disintegration. But PM Mollisal also recognizes skepticism because as New Vesvai’s Prime Minister Beana Villano was overthrown along with the government she headed and that’s why she needs reputational clean-up.

President-Elect Léma Tempéstĕr: “Isolation Cannot Be Freeing”

Before even being inaugurated, President-elect Léma Tempéstĕr has already come out with a controversial yet bold statement criticizing Sunrisian anti-Western, anti-Eastern, isolationist foreign policy along with the presence of state ideologies in the constitution of a country “claiming to be free and democratic.” President-elect Léma Tempéstĕr has expressed support for a “moderate Sunrisia” without it being tied down to ideology and addressed the outgoing Gáûdĕr administration, formerly the Dîlectên administration, to have the Department of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia begin a “thaw” in relations with countries like the Englean Kaiserreich, Belantica, Aznazia, Rhodevus, Rezua and their respective allies “in order to break the restricting chains and start coming out of self-isolation.”

President-elect Léma Tempéstĕr gave an address in which he had elaborated on the message he was wishing to send:

Fellow, Sunrisians,

If nothing else, then I think this RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic has taught us that isolation cannot be freeing. Quite the opposite. It is not just restrictive, but it is difficult and even depressing. It is painful. I think that it is obvious that I am saying this because isolationism is one of our country’s state ideologies, or specifically Neo-Isolationism as an “upgraded” version of which is included in our constitution. For a time, not long after reunification and some other developments along with political transformations, Nationalism, Neo-Isolationism and Self-Reliance may have helped save our country from collapse and being submitted to foreign interference. Many might still be sure that it is the only foundation that Sunrisia is still standing on. However, keeping isolationist ways and having state ideologies, will keep us from being a truly free society. At best, it makes us a hybrid regime rather than an actual democracy. A democracy is supposed to be moderate, without a state ideology or several in the constitution and with political pluralism that has no one or several enforced ideologies, otherwise no political leaning can ever fully rise and overshadow the “ideologies.” We should move on to a moderate democracy to be free. Also to be free, we must break the chain of self-isolation we have bound ourselves by, at a time out of survival and necessity, but now only keeping us in a self-made prison. We should contribute to healing this planet from RETRIT-20/PVAX-20, like we have been doing with our vaccine in addition to other countries’ vaccines, and then re-engage with the world.

Third Way opposition party leads an anti-government protest in capital Conordo

Image

Capital city Conordo has become an arena for a scene not seen in a while. Politically stable Edereon is experiencing a growing anti-government protest in the very heart of the nation. Protesters are calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Réli Novicãl and for a snap general election to be held. Edereon is already in an election season and the next general election is not that far but the protesters want it to happen even sooner. The anti-government uprising is being led by the Third Way opposition party which has been rapidly rising in popularity. Third Way’s leader also personally rising in popularity: Ármand Tungstenãn is also on the streets today with members of his party and with the protesters as an active participant. The Municipality of Conordo has deployed police to watch over protests and make sure they remain peaceful. It is hard to calculate the number of participating masses but the approximation is already up to several dozen thousand, possibly heading to a hundred thousand. The growth of the gathering resumes. Third Way is encouraging as many people as the opposition party can attract to join the protest.

Outgoing President Césâ Gáûdĕr Speaks On The Situation In Edereon

LIVE BROADCAST

Outgoing President Césâ Gáûdĕr has decided to be the one to react to the current situation in Edereon, as anti-government protests or so far just a single collective large protest, has developed in a stable neighboring country, specifically in the national capital of Edereon – Conordo, so far. The protest was organized by an opposition party in Edereon – Third Way, led by Ármand Tungstenãn. The party and its’ head are leading the protest on the street now, with a demand that Prime Minister Réli Novicãl of Edereon resigns and for a snap general election to be declared, despite the regularly scheduled general election being around the corner. The municipality has already deployed police. The protest has remained peaceful, but Third Way are still inviting protesters to join.

Outgoing President Césâ Gáûdĕr has called on all parties to keep things peaceful and asked that the Ederi government ensure the rights of people to a peaceful protest, while asking for the opposition and protester side to keep things peaceful on their part. As temporary commander-in-chief, outgoing acting head of state President Césâ Gáûdĕr has addressed the service personnel of Sunrisian Forces – Edereon (SFE) to stay on the territories of their bases and not engage, if nobody has trespassed. It will be the job of Ederi authorities to make sure their citizens will not attempt to trespass into the territory of Sunrisian military facilities. In case there is an escalation, the troops would be evacuated. Meanwhile, the security of the Sunrisian Embassy in Conordo would be heightened during the political escalation in Edereon.

In other news:

  • Speaker of the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Flórên Infána: “I disagree with the statements made in the first address by President-elect Léma Tempéstĕr.

Pro-government demonstrators counter anti-government protesters in capital Conordo

Image

Conordo resumes being the center of events not seen in Edereon in a long time. It is now an arena for a political confrontation between opposing groups. Supporters of the Ederi government have come out in a demonstration of their own to confront the anti-government protesters led by the Third Way opposition party. The confrontation is peaceful but to ensure that it remains so the Municipality of Conordo has increased the numbers of police watching over the event. Overall the number of people involved in the events that began yesterday has been growing. This matches the prognosis given since yesterday as there was a tendency towards growth. Right now the pro-government camp is still outnumbered by the anti-government opposition camp but the true conclusions could be made as things progress.

Prime Minister Réli Novicãl and the Ederi government have not been quick to react. In fact there has been no reaction to the protests so far. This has increased the anger of the anti-government protests towards the government and personally PM Réli Novicãl. It has helped attract more people towards the calls by the Third Way party to join the uprising. Some speculate that the arrival of pro-government demonstrators might be an unofficial reaction although it’s just an initiative by pro-government citizens and has no involvement of the government itself in the organization of the gathering. The government might be waiting to see how many people will come in support of it and depending on the situation it might determine when and if the government should reach out to its protesting opponents.

Confederal Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the crisis in Edereon

Image

Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Janine Fanning has addressed the situation with out of the norm protests in Daredland. Since yesterday the Kingdom of Edereon has been ravaged by a civil uprising against the government. Opposition Third Way party has led its supporters and general anti-government protesters to a large demonstration in Ederi capital of Conordo. The protesters are calling for Ederi Prime Minister Réli Novicãl to step down and for a snap general election to be called. Edereon is expecting its general election during a regular time but the protesters and the Third Way party leading them is demanding for that election to happen earlier. Today the most recent development has been a pro-government demonstration in the Ederi capital which gathered to counter the anti-government opposition protest. Third Way’s party leader Ármand Tungstenãn is personally leading the anti-government protest.

Daredi Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs Janine Fanning gave a formal reaction and also sent recommendation to Daredi nationals in Edereon.

“[E]dereon is a nation that is important to Daredland because it is a nation which is culturally and ethnically the closest to Daredland’s non-Germanic part. Edereon is also the nation with the largest Daredi expat community in the world which is even larger than in some Germanic nations of the world. Politically Edereon is important not just because of our two-sided relations. Edereon is one of the nations of MDAA and SOWEFTA which are organizations that Daredland seeks to join. Edereon’s support for Daredland’s membership in MDAA and SOWEFTA is key. So political stability in Edereon is a direct national interest of Daredland. We recommend Daredi nationals in Edereon to be careful and watch over their safety during these political developments in Edereon. Daredi Embassy in Conordo is always available for our citizens to ask for help from and to receive help from in ensuring personal security.” – Janine Fanning, Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation (PCA)

But reactions in Daredland towards Ederi protests are not just coming from the government. Daredland has also been an arena of protests which have been dropping in number but haven’t officially ended. Already today the national flag of Edereon has been spotted among Daredi protester crowds in several cities across the Confederation.

Foreign Minister Fila Nemo said that New Vesvai values Edereon as a hopefully soon to be a fellow member of MDAA and SOWEFTA. West Zilveren Berg Offers To Mediate Between The Parties Of The Conflict in Edereon

Secretary of Foreign Affairs of West Zilveren Berg Aart Teuling has offered that West Zilveren Berg mediate between the parties of the civil conflict in Edereon – the anti-government camp and the pro-government camp, the government and the opposition facing off on the streets of Edereon’s capital Conordo right now. The Secretary presented West Zilveren Berg’s capital New Kengara as a location, where a large regional conflict on the Island of Vesvai was just recently solved to great success. Foreign Secretary Aart Teuling feels that there is still magic in New Kengara that could helped resolve the situation in Edereon as well, while it is in its’ peaceful phase and to resolve it before it could enter the violent one. If New Kengara could be an arena for talks that helped stop a military conflict on the Island of Vesvai, when a peaceful political crisis in Edereon should be much easier, which is why the Department of Foreign Affairs is offering to get to it as soon as possible. Officials from the government’s side and the protesting side have been invited to New Kengara to speak with each other and find a solution under the mediation of West Zilveren diplomacy.

Ocidas autonomous region joins in on anti-government protests

Image

The anti-government protests in Conordo continue growing but they’re now spreading outside the capital. The autonomous region of Ocidas is being taken over by the anti-government protests too. The region’s cities are getting involved one by one or several of them simultaneously like spreading fire or a chain reaction. Conordo and the autonomous Ocidas are now making up the join epicenter for the civil uprising. Cities outside capital Conordo and the autonomous Ocidas are expected to join in soon too. Cities near Conordo are getting affected and influenced to stage local anti-government protests or have residents head to the capital and join the protest there. The protest is also moving forward from the territory of autonomous Ocidas towards nearby territories of Edereon where the protest energy is also taking over.

And yet no government reaction still to what has been happening in Edereon. Only international reaction so far but none from the Ederi government officials like the Prime Minister whose attention people are seeking to attract. Obviously this is expected to escalate the protest dynamic and get more people to join in the upcoming days. But now that the protests are happening elsewhere than just the capital Conordo where they’re easier to control in one location, the protests will now be in other parts of Edereon. They are and further will be acquiring a nationwide status. And that is when the protesters might be expecting for the government to finally react. Pressure from foreign partners hasn’t been underestimated by the protesters either. Sunrisia gave a very clear position and so did New Vesvai while Daredland chose a more careful and neutral tone. West Zilveren Berg also chose neutrality but has offered to host a government–opposition dialogue which many protests might welcome at this point. It looks to be one of the things sought after on the street by the Third Way-led demonstrations.

Baggnagia reacts to protests in Edereon

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Baggnagia has reacted to the situation happening overseas in the nation of the Kingdom of Edereon. President Stanislav Smoler has appealed to the government and authorities of Edereon to uphold the standards of peaceful civil protest and allow the demonstration to go on. Prime Minister Vyacheslav Koch echoed the president’s statement and called on the government and protesters to show restraint and avoid violence. President (Speaker) of the Chamber of Deputies Syamyon Hahn said that Baggnagia is monitoring the situation and hopes for the political crisis to stabilize.

The geographic distance between Baggnagia and Edereon is of no relevance in this situation. Baggnagia shares a vital trade deal for with SOWEFTA and a security partnership with MDAA and not just Sunrisia. The former is vital for Baggnagian economy and the latter for Baggnagian security. Edereon is a member of both Corentian blocs and that is why stability in all member nations of MDAA and SOWEFTA is directly related to Baggnagian interests.

Prime Minister Vyacheslav Koch says Baggnagia would not discriminate with the vaccine

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Baggnagia is presently importing the vaccine from Sunrisia and the Englean Kaiserreich to vaccinate the Baggnagian population. The use of Sunrisian vaccine has been more accepted and understandable while the use of the Kaiserreich’s vaccine has caused controversy because of cold relations. The Kaiserreich is famously supporting the secession of Pamerava from Baggnagia. But despite controversy the Baggnagian government has still imported the vaccine from the Kaiserreich. The official position has been not to mix politics and health. Prime Minister Vyacheslav Koch has clarified today that Baggnagia would retain this position and import the vaccine from any nation willing to sell an effective product no matter what relations Baggnagia may have with that nation.

King Glac Crustal IV addresses the nation

Citizens of the Kingdom of Edereon. I thought long before now on what I should say to you. To be honest I’m not even sure now. But as this nation’s monarch I feel that I can’t stand aside while we’re experiencing what we’re experiencing right now. To those thinking that the Royal Family is far away from these events and it only concerns common citizens, you’re wrong. It concerns all of us as a nation. We are all going through this together.

We have a constitutional monarchy, so our contract is that we wouldn’t get involved with politics. But I can’t stay silent. Edereon is being paralyzed by political crisis approaching its fourth day. It hasn’t progressed because neither party of the conflict has gained anything. But it has been progressing in its growth. It is growing in size every day. It should be clear to everyone that this is not a protest by a small isolated political group or an electorate of any one specific party. It’s not anything that somebody could just wait to end. It’s not bonfire that will stop burning on its own if everybody ignores it. There must be dialogue if we’re going to exit this situation and save Edereon from being paralyzed by it.

I ask Prime Minister Réli Novicãl as the face of Ederi government to engage with the representation of the protesters on the streets. Whoever the protesting people would delegate as their leadership. I ask for a conversation that will begin leading our nation out of this crisis before the Kingdom falls too deep into it.

Chairman Robert Praesedit Declares That Vesvai Supports Protesters In Edereon

Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaian National Congress Robert Praesedit has reacted to the protests in Edereon. The Chairman has declared that Vesvai is not indifferent and supports not only the stabilization of the situation like other reacting nations have. Chairman Robert Praesedit said that Vesvai recognizes the current situation as the fight of the people of Edereon for true freedom and democracy which it lacks now. On behalf of Vesvai the Chairman has expressed support for the protesters in Edereon and victory in their chase for freedom and democracy.

Vice Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaian National Congress Acido Soran had no comment although he chose a more neutral approach. The Vice Chairman’s approach aligned more with the position of the international community. The Vice Chairman wished for the stabilization of the situation in Edereon instead of wishing for success for one of the parties in the civil conflict. Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaian National Congress Robert Praesedit hasn’t comment on the position of Vice Chairman of the Pan-Vesvaian National Congress Acido Soran. But it’s left to believe the two do not see eye-to-eye. So far Vesvai’s government appears to agree more with what Chairman Robert Praesedit proclaims.

Prime Minister Réli Novicãl agrees to speak with protester leadership

Image

Prime Minister Réli Novicãl has announced that he agrees to meet with the leadership of the anti-government protests which have now become nationwide. The Prime Minister made this decision after the address by King Glac Crustal IV to the nation where His Highness called on the Prime Minister to reach out to the protesters and engage in dialogue. Most likely PM Réli Novicãl would be meeting with Third Way opposition party leader Ármand Tungstenãn who has also led these protests. Today Ármand Tungstenãn is positioned as being more popular in Edereon than Prime Minister Réli Novicãl and is PM’s biggest rival and challenger for premiership out of all opposition forces in the nation.

The area for their meeting has not been determined. It could be a public center, a hotel or even the Municipality building of Conordo. Prime Minister Réli Novicãl has thanked West Zilveren Berg for offering to host a dialogue between the conflict parties:

I would like to expressed gratitude to our colleagues in West Zilveren Berg for offering their nation as a mediator and a third party location for our meeting. But in the end it is not international talks between nations in conflict. This is domestic political crisis. So we will resolve it on Edereon’s soil. Thank you.

The time for the meeting has not been decided on. Some rumors say it might be morning or early afternoon. Later in the day are less likely options. The crowds of protesters on the street from both sides will want to know the outcome earlier and wouldn’t want to wait till the evening for the talks to happen.

President-Elect Léma Tempéstĕr And The Convet Disagree Over The Vesvai Deployment

President-elect Léma Tempéstĕr and the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia have developed a disagreement over the current deployments of military forces on various missions on the Island of Vesvai overall. Specifically, the President-elect and the Convet are in conflict over the continued deployment of Sunrisian Peacekeeping Force on the Vesvai Parallel (SPFVP), ACREFOR Mission in Oblaren and Vesvai (ACREFORMIOV) and International Force in Vesvai (INTERFIV). All 3 are deployed on the territory, which today is the Sovereign State of Vesvai. The President-elect’s and the Convet’s conflict is about the timing of the deployment and when it should end.

President-elect Léma Tempéstĕr has already stated that after his inauguration into office, as the new commander-in-chief, he would request reports on the situation in the Sovereign State in Vesvai and based on them, the commander-in-chief would decide whether to begin the withdrawal of SPFVP, ACREFORMIOV and INTERFIV peacekeeping missions from Vesvai. The Convet has disagreed with the President-elect. The lawmakers from the governing coalition and a lot of other parties insist that Sunrisia should withdraw forces from Vesvai only after Vesvai holds fair and free democratic elections, which it still has not declared yet. According to lawmakers, given the history of Vesvai with authoritarianism, Vesvai cannot be trusted that easily. Additionally Members of the Convet added the suspicious comments that the leadership of Vesvai made in the past several days, concerning the fact that the Sovereign State of Vesvai would keep the position that the predecessor state Dominion of Vesvai, which included the pro-Dogmanan, pro-Ventismarian and pro-Belantic foreign policy, while also having recently expressed support for the anti-government forces in the current crisis in Sunrisia’s ally Edereon.

Speaker of the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Flórên Infána stated the following:

We might be in deep trouble here with this President-elect. We have to respect the choice of our citizens, which is why we must do everything to guide our young newly-made politician colleague. The President-elect’s mistaking. First, the President-elect questioned our democracy and our state ideologies and now he intends to follow a misguided foreign policy that could help our adversaries, while steering us away from our path and our mission of helping expand democracy internationally and from our values on all fronts. We have to work with this future President more intensely than we did with the recent few predecessors.

However, President-elect Léma Tempéstĕr fired back and Speaker Flórên Infána and the Convet by saying that Sunrisia has no right of keeping its’ military forces in any country’s territory against that country’s will, because in that case, those peacekeeping forces would become occupant forces. According to the President-elect, Vesvai has specifically expressed an interest in having Sunrisia withdraw its’ forces without overstaying the welcome, which the President-elect future administration will intend to do.

Dialogue between government and opposition delegations headed by Prime Minister Réli Novicãl and Third Way opposition party leader Ármand Tungstenãn goes nowhere, protests continue

Today the government–opposition talks were held in the building of the Municipality of Conordo. A government delegation led by Prime Minister Réli Novicãl met with an opposition delegation led by Third Way opposition party leader Ármand Tungstenãn who has led the anti-government protests around Edereon. Originally Ármand Tungstenãn protested holding the talks in the municipality’s headquarters because the opposition demanded a neutral third party location. The municipality is on the government’s side and the police used to monitor protests is controlled by the municipality locally and at large by the Ministry of State for the Interior and locally by the municipality. The opposition eventually gave in after realizing that this was the only opportunity that had to be seized and the talks happened at the municipality.

The talks have sadly collapsed. Prime Minister Réli Novicãl has declared that the opposition didn’t have a productive proposal to send. It only gave an ultimatum for the Prime Minister to resign and for a snap general election to be declared. The government’s side has been upset by the opposition’s “condition-less” position and demands put forth to the government with no negotiations or compromises. PM Réli Novicãl has called the opposition’s approach “irrational” and “not constructive.” The head of government reminded the opposition that the general election was around the corner and that there was no reason for the opposition to just lead people out into the streets and demand the government’s early end to its legal term in office. According to the Prime Minister “there was no trigger for a political crisis to be started” and said that the opposition was just “acting opportunistic and is trying to seize some sort of moment at the peak of [Third Way’s] popularity.” After the talks had ended, the government declared “no deal” but nobody walked out early and remained until the end of the talks. The government declared that it would continue functioning as usual and that the regular date for the general election would remain. The situation has been left in a balancing and frozen state.

On its part the opposition obviously isn’t happy. Ármand Tungstenãn and the Third Way opposition party have declared that the protests would continue until the government returns to the negotiations table and becomes ready to recognize the situation that has developed. According to the Third Way party, ignoring the situation will not work for the government as a strategy to achieve victory in this crisis.

Linguists Conclude That Vesvaite Is The Correct Demonym For Vesvai’s Nationality With The Help Of Oblarenite And Rezuan Colleagues

On non-political topics from the Sovereign State of Vesvai the nation’s linguists have finally made a conclusion on the long debated correct demonym for what’s the correct name for a national or citizen of Vesvai. It always ranged between Vesvaian and Vesvaite. The former has been used more frequently in the mainstream. Turns out we have been saying it wrong this whole time. This is what the now official conclusion of the linguists says. Vesvai’s linguists with colleagues from Oblaren and Herbora along with Rezua have concluded that the correct demonym for people from Vesvai is Vesvaite. Accordingly with this the Pan-Vesvaian National Congress of the Sovereign State of Vesvai as Vesvai’s government is expected to rename itself into the Pan-Vesvaite National Congress of the Sovereign State of Vesvai and also pass the linguistic and grammar law which would solidify Vesvaite as the formal and official demonym from Vesvai’s nationality.

Third Way opposition party leader Ármand Tungstenãn calls for strikes in Edereon

Image

Third Way opposition party leader Ármand Tungstenãn reminded today that the opposition’s anti-government protests have no intention of stopping or stepping down. On this fifth day of the civil uprising Tungstenãn has suggested to switch to drastic measures to force the government into a second dialogue. Although the measures suggested are drastic they would technically still remain peaceful. Third Way opposition party leader Ármand Tungstenãn has called for nationwide strikes by Ederis across the Kingdom. The opposition party’s strategy is to “paralyze the economy” as the only possible way of forcing the government into dialogue because everyone’s wallets would get hit without exception. The opposition admits that the Third Way party already had this plan prepared in advance in case the dialogue with the government doesn’t work the first time. That’s why the Third Way declared this plan so soon after the government–opposition talks had basically collapsed yesterday. It is the official drastic Plan B.

The declaration has been made but the effectiveness of the calls for strikes is yet to be seen. The increasing number of participants on the anti-government protest side in Conordo and the rest of Edereon in the past five days suggest that the people are willing to go far and follow Third Way to victory. The anti-government protests are now outnumbering the pro-government demonstrations also happening nationwide by at least three times in quantity. The relative division of citizens into anti-government pro-opposition and anti-opposition pro-government camps still shows the lack of unity among Ederis in this uprising. And that could plant doubts in how effective the strike strategy might be. Even Ederis on the side of anti-government opposition forces might not necessarily join the strikes. But it is hard to say because it was already mentioned that the protesting citizens appear determined. And it was also already mentioned that in quantity the numbers of people engaging play in favor of the opposition over the government so the strike strategy might very well be realistically successful.

Sunrisia Calls Up An MDAA Consultation On The Situation In Edereon

Image

Secretary of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia in MDAA Dúcân Prīncépâ has called up an MDAA consultation on the situation in Edereon, following the failure of dialogue between the Ederi government and opposition along with the possible transition of the protests into strikes, following the opposition’s calls to begin the strikes. Originally, outgoing head of state President Césâ Gáûdĕr did comment on the situation in Edereon in its’ early phase, with calls made towards both the government and opposition to uphold democratic standards and not allow for the developing crisis to transition outside legal normalcy. Nevertheless, the administration did not directly contact counterparts in Edereon, in order to respect the situation in Edereon as an internal affair. However, with the escalation of the situation into something that could affect countries that are integrated together with Edereon in organizations like MDAA and SOWEFTA, the Sunrisian side has decided that a consultation must now be held within the ranks of MDAA on the developing crisis in one of its’ member states.

Secretary of Sunrisia in MDAA Dúcân Prīncépâ stated:

We respect the sovereignty of Edereon and would treat what is happening in that country as an internal affair under normal circumstances, unless some unpredictable happens related to humanitarian questions. However, the latest phase of the political crisis in Edereon is entering the conditions, where it might begin to affect the common security infrastructure built by the MDAA alliance and the security and well-being of member countries in general. Edereon is such a member country. We are not even talking about the common economic zone, as that is the question for other officials and institutions. Our priority is military and security affairs and those are also being affected by the situation in one of our member states. The situation is not conventional and standard for our common sphere, which has been stable for the most part, which is why the Sunrisian side is initiating an MDAA consultation on this issue.

Concerning the economic aspect, the calls for strikes by the opposition in Edereon have also attracted the attention of the SOWEFTA bloc, as the crisis in Edereon also puts the common economic space under threat, which is why the SOWEFTA framework might have identical consultations as the ones set to happen in MDAA on the issue of Edereon.

President Stanislav Smoler and Prime Minister Vyacheslav Koch discuss Baggnagia–SOWEFTA trade amid Edereon crisis

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – President Stanislav Smoler and Prime Minister Vyacheslav Koch have met to discuss the trade between Baggnagia and SOWEFTA amid the crisis in Edereon. The president and the Prime Minister had trade and economy officials at the meeting while the formal cabinet itself is still seeing some “shaking up” being done. The trade and economy officials concluded that the crisis in Edereon could negatively affect the Baggnagia–SOWEFTA trade as vital for the Baggnagian economy because of the crisis in one of SOWEFTA members Edereon. The protesting opposition has declared strikes that will hit the economy of Edereon, send a ripple effect through SOWEFTA and affect the Baggnagia–SOWEFTA trade which is key to Baggnagian economy.

Having made those conclusions President Stanislav Smoler said that Baggnagia has to become more diplomatically involved in the situation in Edereon to help bring about an end to this instability. President Smoler plans to call Sunrisian outgoing president and set-up a coordination of policy on Edereon together with the members and associates of MDAA and members and associates of SOWEFTA.

Sunrisia Calls Up A SOWEFTA Consultation On The Situation In Edereon

Image

Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Fídês Sódâlītás and Minister of Finance and Economic Development of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Cóitâ Nêcétó have called up a SOWEFTA consultation on Sunrisian behalf, regarding the situation in Edereon, similarly to earlier MDAA consultation also called up on the situation in Edereon. The current SOWEFTA consultation has been deemed even more urgent than the MDAA one, because it concerns trade and economy.

The opposition in Edereon has called for nationwide strikes to begin, which would intensely paralyze the economy of Edereon and force the government into a second dialogue. So far, the Ederi government has not shown concern and might test if the opposition and their protesters are bluffing. However, on Sunrisian behalf, that is concerning and that is why country wanted to bring the issue to the table. There need to be preemptive measures, in case the economy of Edereon does come under attack and begins affecting the free trade area and the integrated economic sphere of SOWEFTA, as well as the trade of SOWEFTA with external partners. Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce Fídês Sódâlītás and Minister of Finance and Economic Development Cóitâ Nêcétó have already warned the outgoing acting head of state President Césâ Gáûdĕr that Sunrisia needs to talk Edereon into a domestic dialogue. Specifically, the outgoing administration needs to pressure the Ederi government to get back to the negotiations table, before the Ederi economy is taken hostage.

Officials of outgoing administration now hope that acting head of state President Césâ Gáûdĕr will get in touch with the Prime Minister of Edereon and hopefully convince the counterparts to return to the negotiations table with the opposition, instead of leaving this task to the incoming and inexperienced President-elect Léma Tempéstĕr.

Third Way opposition party leader Ármand Tungstenãn will soon be making an announcement before protesters

Our correspondents are at the crowds of protesters in Conordo, near the stage from where Third Way opposition party leader and anti-government protest leader Ármand Tungstenãn will be speaking. The opposition leader is set to make an important announcement according to his Third Way colleagues. The announcement will be directed more to the side a declaration. It is not known what the declaration would include. Ármand Tungstenãn might be making another appeal for Ederi citizens to join the strikes to keep the protest going and force the government into a second dialogue. Or there might be an entirely new announcement that might come from the stage.
