Vesvai’s Cabinet Ministers Abandon Their Posts And Join Union Parliament As MPs

The local government in Aurisi in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai has de facto self-terminated. Vesvai’s local cabinet ministers have abandoned their positions and joined declared that they would be joining the caretaker Union Parliament as MPs from the VHU party that they all belong to. Among such officials are Cabinet Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit and Cabinet Minister of Cabinet Minister of Foreign and Inter-Union Affairs of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai Nicholas Vicina. They have kindly declared that their former positions no longer serve a purpose since Vesvai and Oblaren merged into one nation. That’s why both said it makes more sense to join the overreaching Union government. For now it’s more logical for them to join the Union government as MPs from their party but Robert Praesedit and Nicholas Vicina claimed that they aspire to cabinet positions in the Union government. Robert Praesedit said he would like to become the Defense Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai or Chairman of the Security Council of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. Nicholas Vicina in turn aspires to the position of the Foreign Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. Both officials are following in the path of Union Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal who went from the Prime Minister of the Dominion of Vesvai before the creation of a union with Oblaren to First Minister of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai to now being Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai.

Internal Troops Are Hunting For Guerillas In Royal Town, Vesvai’s Part Of The Union Of Oblaren And Vesvai

Internal Troops under the Interior Ministry are engaged in a military operation against guerillas in the medium sized Royal Town in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. Internal Troops were sent over there after the military detected that there was guerilla presence in Royal Town. This conclusion was made through the following of suspected guerillas and through surveillance. Union forces had captured the frequency of some radio communication between guerillas that were dwelling somewhere in rural areas and heard several of them mentioning that they would be heading into Royal Town. Based on the past guerilla campaign not so long ago the military of the Union concluded that guerillas would attempt to infiltrate Royal Town and blend in with the locals so that not to attract attention.

Internal Troops arrived at Royal Town shortly after which was agreed upon with local authorities. The military told local police to block roads and isolate remote parts of the cities since that’s where the guerilla movements were last spotted. Afterwards more troops, weapons and vehicles were pulled in but no state of emergency or martial law has been declared on a local level.

Based on most recent information the Internal Troops had managed to detect guerillas trying to flee the isolated areas of Royal Town. Most of them have been using alleyways which the Union forces had surrounded. With any luck the terrorists will be physically destroyed or apprehended. Although commanders hope to apprehend some guerillas to see if any valuable information could be found on the whereabouts of other terrorists. We will inform about the progress of the operation live and also about its results so stay tuned.

Lifting of Restrictions Show Anti-Government Demonstrations Seizing the Opportunity; Reichstag Formally Re-Recognises Daredland as Sovereign State

Reichstagsgebäude, Freie Reichsstadt Engelberg, Englean Kaiserreich -- While the "Novel Virus" pandemic has been active throughout the world, government officials had been equally active in addressing the issue and how to combat this dangerous illness. At the same time, officials have also been concerned has the restrictions put in place to combat the viruses would be hijacked by elements of the far-left or far-right. These concerns became true when a massive demonstrations erupted in the capital of nation, Engelberg, on Sunday morning. The demonstrations started with a group of individuals gathered on the sidewalk on the corner of Kaiserstraße and Prinzenstraße, with the number of individuals exceeding the allowed amount defined by recent virus restrictions. Approached by two officers of the Engelberg police, the group started to assault the officers - ultimately surrounding the officers and beating them until they dispersed when other officers arrived. The two officers are currently undergoing treatment, and are in stable condition.

After this event, multiple other actions by groups such as these were reported around the city - likened to a "zombie movie" by one officer. This continued until 10:00 in the morning, when the groups ultimately joined together on the Kaisersplatz in the center of the city. This massive group of individuals was too much for the local police to control, so they created barricades to contain the protestors in the area and limit any further damage from being brought upon the rest of the city. The individuals were chanting lines such as "Address injustice now!," "Down with oppression, up with the Republic!," "The People will bring the Republic back!," and "Taufor will rise again!" Statements involving "the Republic" refer to the Taufor Republic, an illegal nation created after the forced exile of Emperor Wilhelm III in 1918 that lasted until the reestablishment of the monarchy in 1922. Since the fall of the illegal state, many groups have been created to fight for the reestablishment of the Republic - many being involved in criminal activities such as terrorism and left-wing extremism. According to the Ministry of the Interior, there are some groups that wish to see the reestablishment of the Republic as a "fascist dictatorship." Hundreds of protesters on Saturday carried the "Black-Red-Gold" flag of the Taufor Republic, a symbol closely associated with the far-left and republican movements within the nation. Others were present with pictures of His Imperial Majesty and the Imperial Chancellor placed on dummies that made it look like they were being hung. Many even were noted as taking selfies with "leaders" of the protest, such as Erhard Krasslinger of the 28 July Movement, an organisation that seeks for the Empire to transition into a republic.

The demonstrations took a serious turn when the massive assortment of protestors locked locked their sights on the Reichstag and unanimously stormed the building at 11:35. Reichstag police were forced to abandon the outer portions of the building, taking defensive positions inside the main hall of the building. Protestors could only access the lobby and exterior of the building, but this apparently was enough for individuals to call it the "first victory in returning the Republic." Bizarrely enough, the protestors even declared the Kaisersplatz its own sovereign territory known as the "Second Taufor Republic." This "republic" lasted until 22:00 last night, when police were able to successfully remove the crowd and take back the area. Nearly 500 arrests occurred, with many other individuals being identified and others escaping.

After the incident, President of the Reichstag, Marwin Kaulbach, stated that the lifting of restrictions was “misused for Republican propaganda”. Imperial Chancellor Rupprecht von Scherzinger stated that the Reichstag incident an “intolerable attack on the heart of our nation."

This recent demonstration has placed extra concern on the risk that protests have become recruiting grounds for neo-Tauforists, far-left, and even fascist groups seeking fresh recruits. “Such demonstrations are an ideal environment for radical movements to win more and more people for their ideologies," stated Hans-Joachim Fischner, head of the Engelberg Reichspolizei office. The groups have even seen support from those who do not believe the virus pandemic even exists, known as "anti-vaxxers." These individuals claim that vaccinations are a conspiracy to control the populace, or that they cause severe disease within individuals without any benefit. Dr. Heinz Krause of the Ministry of Health stated that every individual that wishes to protest medicine and science must first decide if their beliefs “justify joining civil terrorists to try and storm the Reichstag."

His Imperial Majesty today authorised the Reichspolizei to begin investigations into the event, and to enact measures to prevent another demonstration such as this from occurring. Currently warrants are out for the arrests of the leader of one far-left organisation and one fascist organisation that participated in the destruction of a minor police station outside of the city. The Emperor stated that "Groups such as these must not be allowed to undermine our nation and people. These individuals wish to attack our very way of life."

Two days prior to the storming of the Reichstag, the governmental body itself voted on a resolution to restore the recognition of Daredland. This vote followed the action of the Daredi government in recognising the Empire once more, formerly recognising it as the "Kaiserlich-Controlled State of Engelberg." With the vote being called by President Kaulbach, it took two hours of deliberation to finally reach the actual process of voting. By the end of the process, 670 had voted in favour while 140 had voted against the resolution. Effective at 00:00 today, the Englean Empire has once again officially recognised Daredland as a sovereign nation no longer under "occupation." The Weniges Reich continues to also be recognised as sovereign, but no longer is seen as the representative government of the entire Daredi territory. This motion also restores visa-free travel, restoring trade and other contacts with the Daredi nation, but does not affect the restrictions imposed by the Weniges government on Daredi travel as they are not within the realm of Englean control.

Internal Troops Facing Off Guerillas In Royal Town, Lesami, Harrods, Inara

Military helicopters sent to cities to scout for guerillas

Internal Troops of the Armed Forces of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai resume military operations against the terrorist guerillas in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. The hunt for guerillas has mostly been happening in rural areas because that is where the camouflaged terrorists have been hiding and trying to assault the Union troops through stealth guerilla warfare techniques. In that way there are a lot of parallels with the first guerilla campaign where Union forces fought terrorists in south-western regions who arrived from New Vesvai’s territory. That’s also where the terrorists fled after being overpowered. But now a lot of the guerillas are local this time in this second campaign and have largely transitioned from rural areas into cities. That’s why the military needed to move a lot of their operations into cities while keeping presence and ongoing anti-terrorist hunt in the rural areas.

Presently the Union forces are actively hunting for guerillas in the cities of Royal Town, Lesami, Harrods and Inara. The operations are also happening in other cities but the military is not disclosing details and where that is happening to the press. Royal Town, Lesami, Harrods and Inara are cities where the operations are currently most active and impossible to hide from public sight. The military is doing this in cooperation with the police in those cities and the city municipal authorities. The results are mixed with more success and local cooperation in Royal Town and Harrods while there’s more struggle in Lesami and Inara.

Talking about methods of the fight the officers are also obviously not disclosing the strategy. But there are some elements that are impossible not to see by residents themselves who have been seeing flocks of helicopters entering cities along with armored vehicles and soldiers who are taking control of the streets and roads in cooperation with each other imposing unofficial curfew at the time of operations. Minister Of Health Anímâ Sálû To Give Press Conference In Defense Of Required Masks And Respirators

The current RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic statistic numbers in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia are positive, when it comes to the progress of recoveries and avoiding infections. That is not to mention the foreign citizens brought over into our country for treatment, who are obviously not added to the national statistic. In order to keep the decline in infections and prevent new cases, the Sunrisian government is trying to promote safety measures among the citizens by making some of them mandatory. Obviously, the government has faced a challenge from citizens, who are questioning the effectiveness and necessity of mandatory wearing of respirators and masks, including in the fresh air and not just closed spaces, considering that there is no official quarantine in Sunrisia anymore and has not been for a while now. Mandatory respirator and mask wearing is questioned in terms of effectiveness, while also potential health risks it poses are being brought up as well, arguing that mandatory wearing could be more dangerous than a virus in certain health cases.

In order to defend the mandatory wearing of respirators and masks, Minister of Health of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Anímâ Sálû will be holding a news conference to defend the policy not just as the administration’s decision, but also as something supported by the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, obviously not wanting the legislature to slip away from receiving criticism as well, while the administration of the President has to take in all the criticism for unpopular decisions. Previously, Minister of Health Anímâ Sálû said that the quarantine would not be reinstated in any form in the near future, only with the national borders remaining closed. The Minister mentioned the positive pandemic statistic and the infections’ decline, thus saying that in order to head down to the path of being virus-free, the country must not slip or relax too much just yet, thus the government decided to reinstate respirator and mask measures just in case. However, opponents argue that the country might as well could reinstate quarantine all-together, instead of keeping quarantine-like mandatory measures, while pretending there is no lockdown. The opposition compared the government’s policy to being as logical as saying that somebody is “only half pregnant.”

Despite frequent broadcasted addresses to the nation on the issue by President Addél Dîlectên, citizens say that the head of state needs to personally hold an identical press conference as Minister of Health Anímâ Sálû, once the cabinet official concludes this discourse. In this case, the President is once again being held personally accountable, instead of communicating through administration officials or having the Convet speak separately, but ultimately also reflect a consensus within the government, when it comes to the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic, despite there also having been approach disagreements among government branches. Whether the President will listen and follow through with similar action as Minister of Health Anímâ Sálû will be left to be seen, but many agree it would be a smarter move than not doing anything of the sort, as the people want to hear from the head of the administration himself.

Anti-Terrorist Operations By Internal Troops Against Guerillas Expand To Laetus Tagat And Resume In Other Cities And Rural Areas

The anti-terrorist operation by Internal Troops against guerillas was expanded to the city of Laetus Tagat. Heavy artillery is now present there with military aircraft and armored vehicles rolling in. Internal Troops and local police have taken full control of the situation on the streets. The Union army and Laetus Tagat authorities have said that guerillas in that city are using more clever tactics to fight back than in other places. Guerillas have tried to instigate supposed protests and riots in Laetus Tagat against the military presence and taking control of the situation by police while showing support for “rebels.” Army commanders on land claim that by using this method the terrorists could paint themselves as “freedom fighters” while demonstrating that their supposed support among local populace for their “cause.” Moreover the terrorists were also trying to instigate a chaotic situation in Laetus Tagat to cause clashes between authorities and locals in order to discredit authorities as “repressive against civil protest” and to create a destructive situation where cornered guerillas could maneuver with open military action instead of hiding. Commanders say that these tactics have been exposed on time and that the military will not end up in a terrorist trap or take terrorist bait to avoid losing control of the situation.

Outside Laetus Tagat anti-terrorist operations by Internal Troops are also happening in Royal Town, Lesami, Harrods and Inara as reported yesterday. Progress and success of those operations was said to be varying depending on the location. Yesterday Internal Troops reported success in Royal Town and Harrods while saying that there was more of a struggle in Lesami and Inara. But today the situation has moved into a positive light already. Internal Troops have basically taken full control of the situation in Royal Town and Harrods saying that the terrorist threat there has basically been neutralized. In the meantime the military has pushed back in Lesami and Harrods and the situation there is now moving in the direction of victory against terrorists too. The hunt for guerillas also continues in the rural areas. Internal Troops are having more difficulty catching up with the guerillas or cornering them in an open field like they’re successfully doing in the city area. But at the same time there are less distractions apart from the city area and the military has been successfully capturing the terrorist radio signals and radio frequencies unlike in the city. That helps track the locations easier. In many cases because the terrorists want to stay spread out to be less exposed the military has managed to track down individual guerillas who logically didn’t stand a chance against Union forces in direct confrontation. Rival campaign rallies happening around Daredland ahead of early elections

The Daredi Confederation is heading into early national, regional and local elections. Ahead of this political event all competing forces in the race are holding rival campaign rallies to win over Daredi voters. The stand out and leading political forces in this campaign are: incumbent LPM coalition leading the current government, poll leader Klare Sicht alliance made up of the Party for Central Approach (PCA) and the Social Liberal Party (SLP), last government’s leader and formerly part of the current government but now an opposition PLFWCD coalition, and finally the Germanic Union (GU) coalition. These parties, coalitions and alliances are running for seats in the United Confederal Assembly made up of lower house National Council and the upper house Council of States, seats in the regional governments of Daredland’s autonomies and federal subjects, positions in municipalities, city councils and mayoral offices. These early elections are all encompassing so the campaign and the race are intense because they include so much agitation and so many different places to win over the voter’s love in.

The governing LPM coalition is running for re-election even though the current government under their leadership has been losing popularity. Then again LPM is running on a platform of associating itself with the frontrunner Klare Sicht alliance even though both are not formally campaigning together. And yet they are in an unofficial political partnership of sorts. LPM tries to monetize on domestic and foreign policy achievements that were made recently with the reintegration of occupied parts of Haspera into the Daredi Confederation and a political thaw with the Englean Empire and Belantica. But it’s widely seen that these moves have been made after the officially opposition Klare Sicht climbed the latter and by fact became the second political force in the current government by replacing and pushing PLFWCD into opposition. The policy achievements are seen as Klare Sicht’s influence and ideas. That coupled with Klare Sicht growing popularity in the past when it was still a populist opposition force makes it logical that LPM tries to run in association with the frontrunner while also trying to make it look like it’s still the current LPM-led government that made all the achievements.

On the other end PLFWCD tries to run as the main opposition force in Daredland now since it insists that LPM and Klare Sicht are pushing Daredland back into the Englean sphere of influence and that Klare Sicht has illegally integrated itself as the second force in the government if not the first now since Klare Sicht didn’t win the last election and doesn’t have that mandate. PLFWCD is running on a nationalist platform and also partially populist by attacking the current government almost as a treasonous one. Then again PLFWCD’s ambitions could be compared to LPM’s since PLFWCD led the previous Daredi government after the Flaming Revolution which also had to end its term early over collapsed popularity. PLFWCD also had a big role in the LPM-led government so now it has to shake off the reputation failures of the previous government it led and also the role in the current one that didn’t work out. Looks like it settled on using the nationalist rhetoric and also anti-government populism which PLFWCD criticized Klare Sicht of using to climb to the top.

Finally there’s the GU coalition which continues to run on the ideologically opposite direction to sworn political enemy PLFWCD as GU supports pan-Germanism and an alliance with the Englean Empire. Of course then again GU can be respected for consistency and lack of populism in their campaign since GU’s views have stayed pretty much the same all this time. GU really believes in what it’s running for and that hasn’t changed. Given the improved but still complicated Daredi–Englean relations it’s unlikely GU can still get too far with its pan-Germanism. But then again with the more moderate approach towards Englean Empire and the self-declared Weniges Reich by the LPM-led government and the frontrunner Klare Sicht alliance along with Klare Sicht’s own moderate foreign policy towards the Engleans GU might not be the outcast this time. In fact it might find more in common with LPM and Klare Sicht while the nationalist approach of PLFWCD might make them the ‘black sheep’ in the political arena this time. The current political situation is a real turn away from the ideals of the Flaming Revolution but that’s what things look like now. Then again LPM, Klare Sicht and PLFWCD all support Daredland’s membership in MDAA and SOWEFTA while GU is the only one that does not and supports Daredland entering Englean-led organizations and unions.

National Defense Council Discusses Reinforcement Of “Strained Borders” With Kleinaruscha And Ispanza

President Addél Dîlectên has called up a socially-distanced, masked, gloved and “disinfectant-packed” National Defense Council meeting with its’ members being in the same room in person. It was dedicated to discussing the situation at the national borders of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, all of which remained closed over the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic. People are not allowed in or out, considering that the virus cases have by their majority been “imported” into Sunrisia. Not allowing travel outside for citizens is to prevent their potential standing abroad, since they would no longer be allowed to return for an unspecified time period. Foreign nationals are allowed to leave, but not come back and its’ also unclear for how this “closed door policy” would remain in place. The Sunrisian government has taken a more radical approach, whereas some opposition parties and civil rights activists have argued for permitting citizens from some foreign countries if they undergo an incubation period of self-isolation, after having arrived in Sunrisia. However, the Dîlectên administration and the majority-holding coalition in the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, despite their differences, disagreements and conflicts, have agreed to keep the borders closed to everyone.

However, this latest meeting of the National Defense Council concerns something different. It has been dedicated to the so-called “strained borders”, referring to shared borders with neighbors with whom Sunrisia has hostile, border line hostile, tense, tenuous or no relations at all. Countries on this list are the Englean-aligned Kleinaruscha and Rhodeve-aligned and Commonwealth member Ispanza. Concerning the latter, it has long been clear that Sunrisia has been aiming to build the so-called “Maritime Wall” made up of artificial islands in order to physically cut itself off from a Rhodeve-aligned island and create a physical border between Sunrisia and Ispanza on sea. As for Kleinaruscha, there have been talking of building a border wall or at least a DMZ or a military-patrolled fence, handing over control over that border from the border guard service over to the Sunrisian Military. Those plans seem like they have been frozen, since they were developed by the previous governments and the current Sunrisian leadership is not doing much to move them along, despite making sure to discuss them often. National Defense Consultant Líbêll Aûctórên said that these plans are definitely not off the table.

Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vîsár Inpétăs offered to simply increase military presence and put soldiers near the border with Kleinaruscha and in the southeastern part of Sunrisia, in the direction of Ispanza. The Minister offered this as a temporary measure until the National Defense Council eventually decided on what to do with potential border walls, DMZ’s, military-patrolled fences and a “Maritime Wall” made up of artificial islands. Minister Vîsár Inpétăs also warned of the threat to the geographically-isolated West Zilveren Berg, which Sunrisia has committed to protect and how Sunrisia must ensure that its’ forces could deploy there on short notice in case it comes under threat by outside aggression. Kleinaruscha just so happens to be one of the countries in-between Sunrisia and West Zilveren Berg. Despite a wish to believe that West Zilveren Berg’s formal neutrality will not make the country a target to foreign aggression, the Minister of Security says that one can never be too careful and there needs to be ensurance.

Military Council defends itself against critics by saying that Pamerava would return to Baggnagia peacefully

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Military Council of Baggnagia has addressed criticism aimed at it for giving up the territory making up Pamerava today to the separatists without a real fight. After the initial five-day conflict that led to the separation of Pamerava and the cease-fire there were protests in Baggnagia against the separatists, for territorial integrity of Baggnagia and critical of the military government’s surrender of those lands. But Chairman of the Military Council Lt. Colonel Juraj Pietsch defended the policy.

It’s better that the things went the way they did. The territories controlled by Pamerava today can be returned to Baggnagia peacefully. We have tools how to achieve that. If anyone things we have disowned those territories they’re wrong. Those are still our people there and we will not leave them behind. Pamerava is unrecognized but for the time being we had decided to freeze that conflict. We don’t need more bloodshed to possibly return Pamerava quicker when there’s an alternative. If that argument is not convincing enough to some out there then let’s look at it from another angle. Look at how much the Socialist Coup and the military operation to reverse that coup and remove the Socialists has boosted the number of RETRIT-20 and PVAX-20 in Baggnagia. Think of how much the virus would spread in the conditions of a continued Pamerava open armed conflict. And moreover even if those two points of avoiding bloodshed and avoiding virus spread are not convincing enough consider the unpleasant but actual reality that Pamerava now has foreign military protection from our powerful neighbors. Even if we have Sunrisia on our side again do you really want to go back into another conflict so soon after the Baggnagian War which reunified our homeland? Do you think our allies will approve and be as committed to us as the last time if we are the ones to pull the trigger this time? No, we don’t think so. So let’s just consider alternative approaches.

The joint naval exercises of New Vesvai and Sunrisia simulate the defense of New Vesvai against the fictional countries of Nazaria, Derovus, and Alderon and Cesai, which act as stand-ins for some real world opponents in this drill.

The Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia is once again participating in its’ first military exercises and war games in a long time. Individual drills and joint drills with other countries have been avoided since the worldwide RETRIT-2O/PVAX-20 pandemic started, although the country is easing back into those with our allies. Today, the navies of Sunrisia and New Vesvai began joint drills in the territorial waters of New Vesvai. Naval exercises were picked as being among safer of other possible types of drills at the time of the pandemic, since the military personnel interact less physically in close proximity to each other than they would in other drills. In addition, naval warfare is something closer and more accurate for the Island of Vesvai as the Vesvai War has shown, thus the best possible development of skills is needed in a sea battle especially.

The scenario of the joint New Vesvaian–Sunrisian naval drills simulates defense against a foreign invasion on the maritime front, with the warships of New Vesvai and Sunrisia defending the territorial waters of New Vesvai. In this simulated war scenario, New Vesvai and Sunrisia are facing off against the fictional countries of – Nazaria, Derovus, and Alderon and Cesai. Together, these fictional states make up the fictional NACDA military alliance. New Vesvai and Sunrisia represent MDAA, a rival military alliance to NACDA, with our country as a full member state and New Vesvai as an associate member state, aspiring to be a full member state. Both military alliances border each other physically, with the fictional Alderon and Cesai as a member state of NACDA and New Vesvai as an associate state of MDAA, both countries being neighbors and sharing a border on the same island. In this scenario, NACDA, and Alderon and Cesai in particular, have invaded New Vesvai, with Sunrisia jumping to the defense of New Vesvai. The joint military exercise only simulates how the navies would act in such a situation, without counting other elements of either military.

Since none of the government officials or military representatives could be present in person to observe the exercise, its’ streamed broadcast is observed instead. On the Sunrisian side, Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vîsár Inpétăs, National Defense Consultant Líbêll Aûctórên and the generals of the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) have been observing the joint naval drills, with President Addél Dîlectên also reportedly “tuning in.”

Union Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal Accuses New Vesvai And Sunrisia Of Provocation With Their Naval Exercise

The outspoken head of the government of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal reacted to the naval drills held by New Vesvai and Sunrisia in New Vesvai’s waters on the border with the Union. PM Jonathan Mollisal stretched that his reaction is a personal stance and not an official position of the Union government in Fortwel.

“[T]hese drills by our neighbor and their Sunrisian curators can’t be called anything else but a provocation. It’s an ill-timed drill because the Union is in the middle of suppressing a terrorist guerilla insurgency in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. Or maybe these drills are not ill-timed. They chose fictional nations as their opponents this time in a scenario where they are defending against an invasion. We have sensational news, which our country and our people have been waiting for a long time. The Department of Health of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia has confirmed that our country is now officially virus-free with the final 4 cases of either RETRIT-20 or PVAX-20 having been cured in military hospitals. Those in recovery will remain in those military hospitals under watch before being transferred to civilian hospitals for further recovery. The Department of the Interior and Home Affairs of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia released a statement saying that despite being virus-free, Sunrisia will keep its’ borders closed for travel in and out of the country, with the Department of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia also releasing a statement, confirming that the visa exemption that Sunrisia had with a number of countries would also remain suspended. Meanwhile, the Department of Health added to its’ own announcement and the statements of fellow government Departments by stating that the previous measures of the mandatory wearing of respirators and masks in public places would remain, while quarantine-like measures would also remain in a status of recommendations rather than requirements. The only other mandatory measure that would remain is self-isolation for an incubation period in case of contact with an infected person or a positive test for RETRIT-20 or PVAX-20, which would now seem unlikely, as the country is free of those 2 viruses, while “importing” it from abroad would be virtually impossible because of closed borders.

Despite having freed itself from the viruses at this point, the Department of Health announced that Sunrisia would continue vaccine research and development for the sake of solving the virus problem permanently and to help out other countries that are still struggling. As in the past, the recovered individuals in Sunrisia will be requested to volunteer for blood donations that would help out in further vaccine research, since they will have developed anti-bodies at that point. Apart from traditional allies, Sunrisia is also cooperating on vaccine research with unlikely partners such as the Englean Kaiserreich and Ophioneus to speed up the process. BREAKING: Internal Troops Declare Victory Against Guerillas And Announce An End To The Second Terrorist Uprising

Officials of the Interior Ministry in Fortwel have just confirmed the defeat of a second guerilla terrorist insurgency in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. This information came directly from Internal Troops and from the local authorities in the municipalities of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. They were commanding the anti-terrorist operations against the guerilla insurgency for the most part while the Interior Ministry had only sent troops and were receiving reports of progress. The Union forces from the frontlines, the police and the authorities say that the central cities of this second campaign: Royal Town, Harrods, Lesami, Inara and Laetus Tagat had been occupied by the military after guerilla defeat and end of terrorist activity was proclaimed there. Of course the lack of a single terrorist viewpoint from a central authority of the guerillas makes it more difficult to expect anything or predict steps. That’s why there’s no guarantee the guerilla uprising will not resume and see its third, fourth, fifth and sixth waves. But with every guerilla campaign the Union forces are also learning and developing more effective methods and strategies. That’s why the military is confident it could suppress any new terrorist insurgencies before they could get off the ground. The guerillas of the first terrorist uprising who arrived from New Vesvai’s territory had the privilege of foreign support through arms and training. The guerillas of the second uprising were predominantly locals and had to improvise because they didn’t have the privilege of foreign support through closed borders. The approach will remain to keep any potential guerillas cut off from outside resources. The black market will be traced for such slip ups.

In the meantime Union Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal has already congratulated the Union forces, the police and the authorities with defeating terrorists again and thanked them for their job. Knowing all this information today it sounds just as dangerous as RETRIT-20 and PVAX-20 but never developed into a mass infection or a pandemic. Although it may have also been an early stage of RETRIT-20 or PVAX-20 or a related virus. Today that information would be difficult to find out unless the Military Intelligence has some more information to disclose for the sake of seeing if it may be of relevance to the virus struggles humanity is facing today. Or if there may still be another virus threat that went under our noses back then and may somehow pose a threat today like RETRIT-20 and PVAX-20 do. Other than for those reasons it may not be too much of importance to know what took out a tyrant as long as he was taken out. Then again there’s also a factor of curiosity and historical archives.

Sunrisian Designated Diplomatic Agent (DDA) for Daredland Negotiations Cáifâ Intégerâ Visits Haspera In Western Daredland

Cáifâ Intégerâ, the Special Envoy to Daredland or more specifically the Designated Diplomatic Agent (DDA) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia for Daredland Negotiations, has arrived in the region of Haspera in western Daredland. This is the first visit for Special Envoy Intégerâ to Haspera and also the only visit for a Sunrisian Special Envoy to that region, since none of Intégerâ’s could physically set foot there because of the occupation of the region’s majority by the now defunct self-proclaimed separatist Hasperan Republic. Visits were only available to the small portion of Haspera that was still under the de facto and de jure sovereignty of Daredland, because that is where the Sunrisian Special Envoy and Daredi colleagues could observe the situation in the separatist-controlled territories across the demarcation line and saw eerie image back then. Now the situation is improving since the beginning of the ACREFOR mission by the multinational peacekeeping taskforce there and the recent restoration of Daredi control over the seceded lands of the Haspera region after the necessary military intervention that removed the separatists and dissolved the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic.

Hasperan negotiations during the separatist period were part of the Sunrisian Special Envoy’s responsibility along with the Weniges question. However, both situations were vastly different despite their similarities as well. The self-proclaimed Weniges Reich was a product of a militant takeover and Englean military intervention, which is believed to be the case to this day, with possible Englean military presence there, not to mention the apparent de facto control of the Englean Kaiserreich over the land, cutting it away from Daredland more and more to this day. Therefore, the Daredi side and the Sunrisian side in solidarity with the Daredis, has refused to talk directly with the so-called Weniges leadership and instead only agreed to speak directly to the Weniges puppeteer and foreign conqueror of Daredi eastern land – the Englean Kaiserreich. Because of these restrictions in acknowledging the separatists or giving them legitimacy, along with a dead-end in contacts with the Engleans over multiple geopolitical issues, the situation on that front had been stagnant, where at one point, the Weniges issue was frozen diplomatically entirely and all focus switched to the Hasperan problem. Safe to say, there has not been much progress on the Weniges front, in contrast to the Hasperan front, where Daredi flag flies over those lands again. Although the situation may change today as well, since it seems there is a Daredi–Englean thaw in motion, although part of that thaw, along with the Weniges peace plan by the Daredi Foreign Ministry, where Sunrisia was also attributed a role, caused division in the Daredi government, if not collapse which has now led to the declaration of early elections in the country, along with divisions in the Daredi society. Nevertheless, we will see how the situation plays out.

But back to Haspera. The visit might seem a bit dangerous at time of a RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic, however, Sunrisia had recently become virus-free and Daredland never reported to have been reach by RETRIT-20 and PVAX-20 at all. Of course, that may not necessarily apply to the territories of the Haspera region that were outside of Daredi control until recently, however, they were isolated from the world anyway during the rule of the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic and Sunrisian peacekeepers in ACREFOR informed that the multinational taskforce has taken precautions to make sure the region is “disinfected” and virus-free like the rest of Daredland is. Nevertheless, Special Envoy Cáifâ Intégerâ went there with a respirator, gloves, bringing a hand sanitizer and keeping social distancing, just like she does when going anywhere. The Special Envoy met with the troops of the ACREFOR peacekeeping taskforce, including our Sunrisian peacekeepers and personnel of other countries participating in the taskforce. Special Envoy Intégerâ also met and spoke with interim politicians, who have taken over municipal governance since the overthrow of the separatists and also met with the locals. The Special Envoy arrived to gaze upon the results of her diplomatic efforts and those of her predecessors and Daredi colleagues. She expressed hope that the same success could be brought to the Wenigberg region of Daredland as well. Special Envoy Cáifâ Intégerâ is also scheduled to visit Freihat to meet with the officials of the Daredi government under the same secure anti-virus measures to discuss the development aid to the Haspera region, the progress on the Weniges front, the further plans on that front, including with the controversial Weniges peace plan and whether there are modifications needed to be made or a new plan proposed all-together. As the campaign for the early elections in the Daredi Confederation continues Special Representative for Interactions with the Englean Kaiserreich (Englean Empire) Niklas Böhler addressed the topic of Daredi–Englean relations. This may have been part of the campaign on behalf of Klare Sicht which Special Representative Niklas Böhler is a part of as a member of the Social Liberal Party (SLP). Or it might have been a separated diplomatic statement since the Special Representative was not at a Klare Sicht campaign rally when talking about it. Or it could have been both as this political statement on foreign policy achievements is meant to add points to his political structure’s reputation. Campaigning doesn’t always have to happen at rallies and meetings with voters. Sometimes campaigning can be covered as simple fulfillment of the duties you have in office. But that’s not against any law and is a legit method so there’s nothing wrong with that.

Special Representative Niklas Böhler reacted to the Englean recognition of Daredland as a sovereign state again and recognition of its government in response to Daredland’s friendly steps in that direction. The Confederation made the first move and the Empire reciprocated. Englean officials hinted at readiness to restore all contacts and that’s where a separate statement from Daredi diplomats was needed. Although the Daredi government said it’s ready to restore relations with the Kaiserreich there are also nuances that needed to be picked apart point by point. And that’s what Special Representative Niklas Böhler did by specifying what can be achieved at this point.

“We are ready to restore diplomatic relations even tomorrow if the Engleans are ready. Of course that would mean that my position would no longer be needed. Right now the Daredi government can only directly speak with the Englean leadership through me because of absence of diplomatic relations. But after diplomatic relations are restored the Foreign Ministers can start talking directly and I’ll no longer be needed. But hey I’ll survive and there’s plenty of other things I can do. As long as something is achieved for the good of this nation. The hostile relationship has got to end. But the nuance is that we might not be able to restore all ties so quickly. Specifically trade and economic ties. That’s because we need to make sure that the Englean military forces are not in the self-declared Weniges Reich without our approval. Until we can find a way with the Engleans on how we can check that and periodically inspect that there’s no Englean or other foreign military presence in the self-declared Weniges Reich we can’t lift the sanctions. But other contacts can be restored to progress our dialogue. The only other nuance when it comes to trade and economic ties is also the fact that Daredland is in an association with SOWEFTA so we must take into account the standards and rules of that trade bloc which apply to us before we work together with third parties. The National Liberation Committee of Independent Vesvai, National Council of Vesvai and the National Council of Rebellion of Vesvai have come together again for a statement on the pro-independence movement in Oblaren and Vesvai. The three political bodies representing Vesvaian dissidents, defectors and expats living in New Vesvai have expressed outright condemnation of the use of military and police force to suppress the active pro-independence movement in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. The National Liberation Committee of Independent Vesvai, National Council of Vesvai and the National Council of Rebellion of Vesvai are confident that the authorities in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai possibly with the personal approval of Union Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal have painted the entire Vesvaian pro-independence movement as terrorists and foreign agents. This supposedly gives the Union side permission to refuse talking with the Vesvaian pro-independence advocates and just use force to destroy the movement. That is what happened recently with the Union forces suppressing the second guerilla uprising along with civilian nationalist protests in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai and basically militarily occupying the neighboring portion of the Island of Vesvai on New Vesvai’s border. Together the National Liberation Committee of Independent Vesvai, National Council of Vesvai and the National Council of Rebellion of Vesvai have put forward a demand aimed at the local authorities in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai and also the central Union government in Fortwel to create conditions where Vesvaians may express their opinion towards the questions of democracy and possible independence. As a counter-measure the three political bodies threaten to form a united government-in-exile if the Union doesn’t comply. The National Liberation Committee of Independent Vesvai, National Council of Vesvai and the National Council of Rebellion of Vesvai already basically exist as three separate governments in exile all based in different cities in New Vesvai. But neither has ever declared themselves to be a government-in-exile officially nor have they ever threatened to create a united government-in-exile before. So today’s declaration is a big deal.

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Another high-profile recovery from the Novell Virus has been confirmed in Baggnagia. Ex-Chairman of the Congress of National Sovereignty of the ex-nation of South Baggnagia Gustáv Feldt recovered from PVAX-20 in the Jugac National Hospital. PVAX-20 is the more dangerous of the two viruses alongside RETRIT-20 so Gustáv Feldt has definitely dodged a bullet. Daredland calls allies to the Council of 3 meeting in Freihat as election campaign continues

Council of 3 Secretary General Joan Armbrüster has invited official of other Council members New Vesvai and West Zilveren Berg to Freihat for another Council summit fairly soon after the last one. Despite the pandemic the Secretary General believes it’s safe to hold the summit because Daredland, New Vesvai and West Zilveren Berg appear to be among nations not affected by the viruses. And yet like the past summit the new one would be held in safe conditions and with proper requirements. The Secretary General guaranteed that as he believed that it was time to move on from video conferences to live meetings once again.

In turn during their campaign rallies the governing LPM coalition, Klare Sicht and the GU coalition said that this was undercover campaign step on behalf of the PLFWCD coalition. The opponents of PLFWCD are basing it on the fact that the Council of 3 was created during the era of the PLFWCD-led government. The coalition is now trying to promote its past leacership’s foreign policy achievements by showing how active and effective the Council still is with allies. Another attack that PLFWCD’s opponents are using against the coalition is the reminder that the PLFWCD-led government was forced to end its term early and hold snap elections because of corruption allegations against it.

PLFWCD in turn fired back against everybody by saying that the current Office of Attorney General hasn’t reported any specific findings on corruption allegations against PLFWCD and its past government. Additionally PLFWCD pointed out that it still took a second spot behind LPM in the past elections unlike Klare Sicht or GU and that proved the public’s continued trust in PLFWCD while support the theory that PLFWCD was conspired against. The conspiracy possibly came from inside and abroad. Finally PLFWCD accused the LPM-led government of secretly planning to remove PLFWCD member Joan Armbrüster as Secretary General of the Council of 3 and replace him with an LPM or a Klare Sicht member. The presented goal for that PLFWCD believes is to undercut the opposition coalition’s chances of showing itself in a positive light in any political posts in the Confederation that PLFWCD members still have. JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Another high-profile person has recovered from the Novell Illness. It’s Stanislaw Šturm who was the third and formally last Defense Minister of the ex-nation of South Baggnagia. Military Council now getting criticism for giving up Baggnagian citizens to Pameravan separatists

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – The Military Council of Baggnagia is now receiving criticism for blatantly handing over Baggnagian citizens to the Pameravan separatists for no apparent reason and with nothing asked in exchange. To remind of what the criticism concerns the Military Council handed over a number of ex-politicians of Baggnagia from the era of the Baggnagian division over to Pameravan separatists. This was during the peace talks between the sides and with the Military Council’s belief that it could help advance the peace talks. Military Council Chairman Lt. Colonel Juraj Pietsch said the Military Council had reason to believe that the handed over individuals were upholding anti-nation views and were at the highest risk of becoming collaborationist with the forces hostile to Baggnagia. Union Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal Shares Opinion That There Should Be No Negotiations With Terrorists And Foreign Agents, Hopes Union President Russel Kelpir And Union Parliament Feel The Same

Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai Jonathan Mollisal decided to comment more on the issues related to his native Island of Vesvai. Specifically he could not restrain himself from indirectly responding to foreign-based and foreign-supported Vesvaian defector political bodies that have been stubbornly pushing unacceptable political demands towards the Union. Those bodies have been siding with armed terrorists waging guerilla war in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai by labeling them as a “pro-independence movement” making political demands on their behalf.

Rather than responding to them directly the Prime Minister has decided to avoid giving them legitimacy. Instead he formatted the overall situation and what the view on the government’s behalf should be in his view.

“[I] stretch that this is again my personal opinion. We haven’t worked out a single position of the Union government. I think that there should be no direct negotiations with terrorists. And when I say terrorists I don’t mean just those bandits that have been running around our cities, our villages, our forests and our fields. I also mean those foreign-based political bodies that speak on their behalf. There must be no mistake made here. These bodies are the political arm of the terrorists and those running around with weapons are, well, the “armed” arm. That’s why all of them should be looked at as a single entity. What’s worse is that they’re based abroad and supported by the abroad which also makes them foreign agents. So that’s double evil. That’s what makes them even more dangerous and that’s why we should refrain from acknowledging them on a political level. I hope that President of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai Russel Kelpir and our single nation’s Caretaker Parliament will view the issue in a similar light. That’s what might help us actually work out a formal government position on this important issue on our national security.”

Nightly campaign debates continue in Daredland with a heated national discourse

The competing forces in the Daredi Confederation’s upcoming early elections faced down each other in last night’s heated debate. The confrontation on stage did not include just one specific part of the election for a specific part of a government seat. It included every possible position that officials were running for from a national to a local level. LPM, Klare Sicht, PLFWCD, GU and others occupied the stage in a grand debate. This time the moderators were struggling with keeping things civilized since the political discourse went in very emotional directions several times. As always the officials could not just keep up with the program and present their policies. They did go the route of trying to gain points by attacking opponents. The one receiving most attacks from all sides that night was the PLFWCD coalition since it had developed tensions with LPM, Klare Sicht not to mention its long-time sworn rivalry with GU. But LPM, Klare Sicht and GU did not fully refrain from throwing passive aggressive shade at each other too. How much has this affected the voter opinion and has this been effective is hard to say at the moment. But so far it seems that Daredis are having what you might call and adequate reaction. Many people threw complaints at the network and moderators that hosted the debate for trying to create drama on stage and boost ratings that way instead of hosting a legit debate. But even that resonance might not represent how people will vote overall. They would still vote and these debates will affect their opinion based on policy and behavior on stage. There’s just nothing else to base their choice on.

Pamerava to consider Control and Customs on its side of the border with Baggnagia

NEODVISNI, PAMERAVA – Pamerava will consider establishing control and customs on the border with Baggnagia. This move would help ensure more security for the young sovereign nation and help solidify independent statehood of the Principality. This was announced by Pameravan diplomats. Prince Dobrin Ustanovitelj (The Founder) will be going to the Senate to ask for voting on this move to give it legal basis and launch the border control project. The monarchy in its entirety has embraced the idea as a historic move for Pamerava. In case of an aggressive Baggnagian reaction with military action the armed forces still in development will be ready enough to defend Pamerava from aggression. The Principality also has guaranteed military backing of Ventismarian and international allies. But until such a threat arises (which it will hopefully not) Pameravan diplomats expect that the Baggnagians will live by the cease-fire agreement that’s in effect now.

Right now the border with Baggnagia is patrolled by the army (professionals and conscripts) together with police. There are no physical boundaries keeping the border locked and secured apart from barb wire and built watch towers with snipers on them. But in order not to live in a consistent state of war and military readiness along with territorial disputes Pamerava will aim to have a normal border controlled by normal border guard service like in all of the world and with international recognition. It shouldn’t cause too much problems for Pamerava since the border with Baggnagia is the only land border that Pamerava has and the only one that will need patrol. The rest of Pamerava is coastal territory alongside the Centismar Sea situated to the south of the Englean Empire. Speaking of the Englean Empire, Prince Dobrin Ustanovitelj (The Founder) said that Pamerava will aim to be an independent nation but wouldn’t mind entering a protectorate-like agreement and a defense alliance with the Engleans. It would mirror and parallel an identical state of affairs that Baggnagia has with Sunrisia. But Pamerava would also have additional security guarantees by completing its Ventismarian integration process.

Prince Dobrin Ustanovitelj (The Founder) will be heading to the Pameravan Senate today in the evening to asks Senators to vote on this border project so that Pamerava could start erecting the solid border with control and demarcation as soon as possible and complete it earlier that way.
