Minister Of Defense Varsi Polvandet Suggests Completely Militarizing Border With Vesvai

Minister of Defense of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Varsi Polvandet has said that the Union should consider militarizing the entire border with the Reunified State of Vesvai to a front-line like construction. With the approval of the government led by Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Jonathan Mollisal, the military and defense buget was increased. With the help of this increase the Union began militarizing the entire Herbora's part of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora and evolving military infrastructure there into something modern and powerful. Now Minister of Defense Varsi Polvandet suggests to do the same because the Reunified State of Vesvai not only did not become a neutral and demilitarized state as the Union diplomacy tried to propose to the Sunrisians and the MDAA. The Reunified State of Vesvai automatically became a member of MDAA as a successor state of New Vesvai which was a member of MDAA. This fact brings a threat to the Union and that's why the Minister of Defense insists that there should practically be front-line built on Herbora's part of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora because there's a frontline from the other side. But the Defense Minister said that nobody should be frightened of the word frontline because the militarization of the border would be created not for the purposes of going to war. The Defense Ministry suggests to abide by the principle: "if you want peace, prepare for war."

After Creperia, Sunrisia And Edereon Hold Joint Military Exercises And War Games In Edereon

National Defense Consultant (NDC) Suâv Ambústên and Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Fógâr Nélsân are in Edereon, where they have moved to directly from Creperia in transit through the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia but without stopping at the homeland. Following the conclusion of joint Creperian-Sunrisian military exercises and war games in Creperia, National Defense Consultant (NDC) Suâv Ambústên and Minister of Security Fógâr Nélsân are now observing joint Ederi-Sunrisian military exercises and war games in Edereon. The Department of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia said that the joint drills in Edereon are signalling a return to old allied relations between Edereon and Sunrisia, which have been interrupted by the rule of a previous authoritarian regime in Edereon, which was later ousted by Ederi citizens in the May Revolution. During the period of unfriendly relations, Ederi and Sunrisian armed forces have not cooperated or held any joint drills, which is why there was some worry that both would forget how to work together. Sunrisian soldiers only had the opportunity to cooperate with anti-regime Ederi volunteers, who fought in the brief Vesvaite Civil War alongside Sunrisian troops. In the current drills, Ederi and Sunrisian armies, air forces and navies will train how to defend against a hostile attack or invasion on land, aerial and maritime fronts.

Daredland has welcomed West Zilveren Berg's Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser to the Confederation on the foreign leader's first official visit to the nation. This comes after Confederal Chancellor Lasse Cerido has also been to West Zilveren Berg recently on a first official visit. Confederal Chancellor Lasse Cerido became the first to welcome Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser to Daredland. The other Daredi officials that the foreign guest will meet would be President of the Daredi Confederation Albert Vogt and the entirety of the Confederal Cabinet. Likewise West Zilveren Berg's Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser will visit the United Confederal Assembly and specifically both chambers: lower house National Council of the Daredi Confederation and the upper house Council of States of the Daredi Confederation. At the National Council Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser will meet with President of the National Council of the Daredi Confederation Jeanine Orteser, First Vice President of the National Council of the Daredi Confederation Hugo Köhler, Second Vice President of the National Council of the Daredi Confederation Eva Solical and the deputies at the National Council. Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser In Daredland On The First Official Visit

Relations between West Zilveren Berg and Daredland are growing and strengthening. Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser has come Daredland on first official visit after having recently hosted Confederal Chancellor Lasse Cerido of Daredland on the latter's own first official visit to West Zilveren Berg. In Daredland, the Chief Secretary will obviously meet once again with Confederal Chancellor Lasse Cerido of Daredland, but also with President Albert Vogt of Daredland and all of the officials of the Confederal Cabinet of Daredland, which is an equivalent of the Cabinet of Ministers in Daredland. Additionally, Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser will visit the upper and lower houses of the United Confederal Assembly of Daredland which is Daredland's legislature. The Chief Secretary will visit the lower house chamber National Council of Daredland, where he will meet with President of the National Council Jeanine Orteser of Daredland, First Vice President of the National Council Hugo Köhler of Daredland, Second Vice President of the National Council Eva Solical of Daredland and MPs there. The only location more dangerous to visit will be the heavily militarized demarcation line between Daredland controlled by the central government and the self-proclaimed Weniges Reich controlled by the separatists, which West Zilveren Berg recognizes as part of Daredland but encourages a diplomatic solution to the crisis and to restore Daredland's territorial integrity.

Edereon announces it would have no claims over the body of Robert Praesedit and that it should be returned to Vesvai

Prime Minister Osa Repẽna has addressed the question on who should receive the remains of Robert Praesedit from Daredland: Edereon or Vesvai? Prior to his death, Praesedit was an Ederi citizen, but his origins were Vesvaite and he has left his mark in the history of his historic homeland. Daredland has stated that first Edereon and Vesvai must decide on who would receive those remains before transferring them. PM Osa Repẽna voiced the opinion that Vesvai should get them.

"At first I voiced this as a personal opinion but I now see that the government and a large portion of the opposition agree with this, so I can now voice the stance as Prime Minister. We think the remains should go to Vesvai because that's where Praesedit was from and that's where he left a bigger mark so to say. Him becoming an Ederi citizen was just a gift to him from the previous regime in our nation. Yes, during the May Revolution Praesedit headed our Ministry of State for Internal Affairs and moves were made against protesters by his command regardless whether these were orders of the previous regime. We can't prosecute a dead man anymore unless someone wants a post-mortem court case to be made for some reason. But in Vesvai Praesedit was Minister of Defense under several dictatorships and although he betrayed those dictatorships and declared Vesvaite sovereignty, he was an opportunist and no national hero. He continued to rule Vesvai in a dictatorship before losing power in the Crimson Revolution and then waged civil war in an attempt to safe or reclaim power, but that was stopped by international intervention. I brave volunteers took part in that intervention but Edereon as a state did not get involved alongside its allies because the past regime had different priorities and even tried saving Praesedit with an Ederi passport afterwards. I hope these moments will not stain Ederi-Vesvaite relations going forward, because we apologized and today apologize for the actions of the previous government which we overthrew. We don't need Praesedit's remains on this land. Let Vesvaites reclaim him and decide what his body deserves andhow hewill be remembered."

Vesvai Thanks Edereon And Announces It Would Be Receiving The Remains Of Robert Praesedit

Vesvai's Prime Minister Fila Nemo has thanked her counterpart in Edereon: Prime Minister Osa Repẽna for her personal and her government's position on who should get the remains of Robert Praesedit from Daredland. PM Fila Nemo said that every single word said by Edereon's PM Osa Repẽna was absolute truth. The Prime Minister said that with Edereon having no claims Vesvai would take the remains of Robert Praesedit. This was soon followed by the statement from Vesvai's Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the nation was prepared for the transfer of the remains from Daredland to Vesvai. It has not been confirmed what would be done with the remains but some MPs from the governing coalition supported following the example of what Baggnagia did or is preparing to do with the remains of Dobrin Novak and Alexander Loncar. In other words there's support for cremating Praesedit and scattering his ashes anywhere in Vesvai. Some opposition politicians from right-wing parties suggested demonstratively scattering them near the border of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora.

Confederal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation has announced that since Edereon and Vesvai have agreed that Edereon has no claims on the remains of Robert Praesedit and that Vesvai should get those remains, Daredland will be transferring the remains of Robert Praesedit straight to Vesvai. At some point after the ongoing visit by Chief Secretary of West Zilveren Berg Gerrit Visser in Daredland concludes then Confederal Chancellor Lasse Cerido will phone Prime Minister of Vesvai Fila Nemo. Although it is not excluded that the transfer might happen earlier without leaders in either nation having to oversee the transfer. That's is how it happened with Baggnagia when Daredland transferred the bodies of Dobrin Novak and Alexander Loncar there.

Opposition Parties Suggest Building A Wall On The Border With The Union Of Oblaren And Herbora

Some opposition parties considered to be right-wing and have nationalist views have proposed for Vesvai to build a wall on the border with the Union of Oblaren and Herbora. Specifically on the border with Herbora's part of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora which alongside the Reunified State of Vesvai is located on the Island of Vesvai. Proponents say that this would be a guarantee for the national security of the Reunified State of Vesvai as the Union is militarizing Herbora's parts of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora. Even though today Vesvai can rely on MDAA protection it would still take time for MDAA reinforcements to arrive whereas Vesvaite forces would have to withold aggression. A border wall would make it more difficult for the potential adversary to attack Vesvai from land or air. Opponents of the idea say that the region of Herbora that is today part of the Union is a historic part of Vesvai and was part of the Vesvaite state before Vesvai entered into a union with Oblaren and created the former Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. Only when Vesvai separated from the Union then Herbora was lost and today remains part of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora which Vesvai practically accepted. Opponents of the wall say Vesvai's goal should be a return of that territory through diplomatic methods. Building a wall would cut off Herbora from Vesvai and practically recognize the Union's rule over that land. Additionally opponents of the wall compared the proposed wall to the one that New Vesvai built to defend itself against the Dominion of Vesvai, then against the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai and then from the Sovereign State of Vesvai prior to the Crimson Revolution, the brief civil war in the Sovereign State of Vesvai and Vesvaite reunification. Opponents of the wall say it didn't do much to effectively defend New Vesvai at the time as border clashes were still happening. Proponents of the wall disagree and say the border wall made a full-scale invasion of New Vesvai by the other side impossible. As for the government Vesvai's Prime Minister Fila Nemo has not yet formulated her position on the proposal and neither has the governing coalition. Political analysts see the raising of this topic as part of a snap general election campaign.

Daredland and West Zilveren Berg agree to create the Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade

Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection of the Daredi Confederation Carlos Neumann and the Secretary of Defense of West Zilveren Berg have signed an agreement in Freihat on creating the Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade. This is a major step in military integration between both nations and by fact creates common military forces. The joint force would be made up of all parts of the militaries of Daredland and West Zilveren Berg. Before this brigade could be created both nations would have to ratify the agreement. For Daredland the United Confederal Assembly of the Daredi Confederation in the form of lower house National Council of the Daredi Confederation and the upper house Council of States of the Daredi Confederation. For West Zilveren Berg the agreement would have to be ratified by the House of Representatives and the Senate. Confederal Minister Carlos Neumann and his counterpart from West Zilveren Berg both expressed confidence that the agreement between the nations would be ratified by their bicameral legislatures otherwise it wouldn't have been signed.

West Zilveren Berg And Daredland Sign Treaty To Create The Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade

Secretary of Defense of West Zilveren Berg Sklaer Jaager and Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection Carlos Neumann of Daredland have signed a treaty on creating the Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade. The treaty was signed in Freihat, Daredland and practically merges both nations militaries while also still keeping independent armed forces for both nations. The brigade will instead exist as a separate military force but be made up of components from the militaries of both nations. In order for the treaty to go into force and for the Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade to be created, both nations would have to ratify it. In West Zilveren Berg, the Senate and the House of Representatives will be carrying out the ratification, while in Daredland it will be done by both chambers of the United Confederal Assembly: the National Council of Daredland and the Council of States of Daredland. Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser emphasized that the signing of this treaty and the creation of the brigade does not contradict West Zilveren Berg's neutrality and non-bloc status, while the West Zilveren Self-Defense Forces (WZSDF) would only fight on West Zilveren Berg's soil in defense of the country's territory with no deployments abroad for combat purposes. Former Presidents Of Sunrisia Create - The Council Of Presidents

Former Presidents of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia have decided to create the Council of Presidents. It will be a non-political consultative body made up of all former Presidents, including those not holding any political posts, including those holding posts in the current administration or possibly future administrations, those who served as Vice Presidents or in any other positions, but took over as acting heads of state and those who are in the opposition. The document creating the Council of Presidents was already signed by former elected and acting Presidents, who are currently serving in other types of positions as well - Fógâr Nélsân, Válîd Sâlúbĕr, Amíc Fútûra, Fórî Apstérâ, Addél Dîlectên, Césâ Gáûdĕr and Léma Tempéstĕr. After incumbent President Sálût Érátân finishes his second term, the participants of the "new club" already stated that he would be welcome to join.

Opposition Protests Against The Creation Of The Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade

Opposition parties have organized protests in the national capital New Kengara and other cities around West Zilveren Berg with the participation of their supporters. The protesters are demonstrating against the creation of the Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade, which was agreed on by their countries after the signing of a treaty creating it. Now, the treaty awaits ratification in both West Zilveren Berg and Daredland before going into force and before the Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade could be officially created. Opposition protests in West Zilveren Berg are demanding West Zilveren Berg's withdrawal from the treaty because it violates the country's neutrality and non-bloc status. According to protesters, creating this joint military force, even if it is not an outright merger of the military of West Zilveren Berg with the military of Daredland, still links West Zilveren Berg to a new military alliance and a new military relationship, whereas the Security Treaty with the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia was supposed to be the only such exception and it strictly regulates non-combat military cooperation, whereas the new agreement with Daredland does not clearly rule out joint combat operations of the future brigade. According to some opposition politicians, creating such a brigade "has practically made West Zilveren Berg join MDAA" because West Zilveren Berg has militarily integrated with Daredland, who is a member state of MDAA. This factor is seen to only undermine West Zilveren Berg's security as it could now become a target as a militarily-aligned country by those forces that have a negative attitude towards Sunrisia, MDAA or the Corentian bloc. They state that neutrality made West Zilveren Berg much safer. Among the opposition's demands is the resignation of the government and early elections, because the government has violated the Basic Law of the State of West Zilveren Berg which includes a non-bloc status and neutrality, whereas the treaty with Daredland violates those clauses. According to the current counts, there are about 10,000 participants taking place in the opposition's protest in New Kengara. The protest is peaceful.

Vesvaite Citizens Vote In The First Snap General Election Since The Vesvaite Reunification

Citizens of the Reunified State of Vesvai have gone to the polls. They will be voting in a snap general election which will be the first such vote since the Vesvaite Reunification. The snap general election was declared with a goal of electing a new government for the Reunified State of Vesvai since the incumbent government is a merged hybrid of what used to be separate governments of the former New Vesvai and the former Sovereign State of Vesvai. They were elected in separate elections of those two states and were merged into as a result of Vesvaite Reunification where New Vesvai and the Sovereign State of Vesvai were on again. To transition past the "hybrid government" situation a decision was made to instead hold a new election. Regardless political analysts have observed opinion polls and predict that the parties hailing from the former New Vesvai and the former Sovereign State of Vesvai will still do better in the territories of those former separate states at least in this election and possibly the next few. In other words leading positions are predicted for the National Renewal Party (NR) and the Break Out Alliance (BOA) in those parts of Vesvai that used to form the former New Vesvai and for the Unity of Vesvai (UV) coalition, National Party of Vesvai (NPV) and Revolutionary Rebirth (RR) in those parts of Vesvai that used to be the former Sovereign State of Vesvai. Since the territory of the former Sovereign State of Vesvai was larger it is possible that UV, NPV and RR might actually outdo NR and BOA by the proportion of the voters.

Council Of 3 Discusses The Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade And The First Post-Reunification Snap General Election In Vesvai

Secretary General of the Council of 3 Henrick Janssen has chaired two meetings of the Council of 3. Both were dedicated to discussing different topics and took place one after another with a 15 minute break in-between. In the first meeting, the representatives of Daredland, Vesvai and West Zilveren Berg discussed the signing of the agreement that will create the Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade. Secretary General Henrick Janssen and representatives of West Zilveren Berg in the Council of 3 voiced support for the elected government's decision to sign this treaty with Daredland, but noted that the opposition had a right to express its' position on this question, which might be more polarizing than expected. In the second meeting on the snap general election in Vesvai, the first since reunification, Secretary General Janssen expressed personal opinion that Vesvai has made a right decision to have a normal vote in a reunified state instead of living with an imbalanced merger of the governments of 2 recently separate countries that voted in separate elections.

Exit Polls: Unity Of Vesvai (UV) Coalition, National Party Of Vesvai (NPV), Revolutionary Rebirth (RR), National Renewal (NR) And Break Out Alliance (BOA) Take Leading Positions In The Snap General Election

Electoral commissions are still counting the final votes but exit polls are already in. As largely predicted by political analysts and signalled by pre-election opinion polls the parties that previously won the separate pre-reunification elections in the former New Vesvai and the former Sovereign State of Vesvai have taken the lead in the first post-reunification snap general election in today's Reunified State of Vesvai. Unity of Vesvai (UV) coalition, National Party of Vesvai (NPV), Revolutionary Rebirth (RR), National Renewal (NR) and the Break Out Alliance (BOA) have taken the leading in the first united election. NR and BOA being the parties that have governed in the former New Vesvai since the Silver Revolution and all the way to Vesvaite Reunification having won all elections while running together as an electoral bloc and having since former multiple NR-BOA coalition governments after each election. In the meantime the UV coalition, NPV and RR had won the first and only democratic election in the history of what used to be the Dominion of Vesvai, the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai and then the Sovereign State of Vesvai before the Vesvaite Reunification. UV coalition, NPV and RR formed a grand coalition together and created the first and only historic democratic government in the other Vesvai before the reunification happened. Now they have taken larger positions than NR and BOA because as predicted NR and BOA did better in the territories that used to form the former New Vesvai while the UV coalition, NPV and RR did better in the territories that used to form the former Sovereign State of Vesvai. The Sovereign State of Vesvai was larger than New Vesvai. Now that the Reunified State of Vesvai will be in the process of forming the next government Vesvai's Prime Minister Fila Nemo said she will be transferring her position regardless of whether NR, BOA or any of the parties that she has been affiliated with will be invited into the next coalition or if they will be pushed into the opposition. The next Vesvaite government will have a new Prime Minister leading it.

West Zilveren Berg Will Hold A Referendum On Whether To Keep Or Remove The Non-Bloc Status

Unexpectedly, the government of West Zilveren Berg has announced that West Zilveren Berg will be holding a referendum on the neutrality and non-bloc status included in the Basic Law of the State of West Zilveren Berg. The vote will ask citizens whether they want to keep the neutrality and non-bloc status of West Zilveren Berg in the Basic Law or remove it. Although the announcement comes with a surprise, there have been opinion polls made on the question earlier, sometimes with the majority supporting the status quo, sometimes the results being polarizing 50-50 and sometimes the majority leaning towards removing non-bloc status so that West Zilveren Berg could pursue Corentian integration. Right now, which of the 3 tendencies are prevailing is unknown, therefore, the government believes that a referendum could answer the question. Opposition Stages New Protests Against The Declared Referendum On The Non-Bloc Status And Neutrality

Opposition parties continue not backing down against the rapid and frankly historic changes that the government of West Zilveren Berg has been undertaking. After the government announced that a referendum would be held about whether to keep neutrality and non-bloc status in the Basic Law of the State of West Zilveren Berg, opposition parties have started new protests both against the proposal and against the government. The opposition parties, who have also led the previous recent demonstrations against the establishment of the Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade, have now taken the lead in the current protests as well. The opposition parties are emphasizing how they were right that the current government was dragging West Zilveren Berg from a peaceful neutral and a non-bloc status into MDAA and the Corentian bloc all-together, with the current announcement on a referendum to change the Basic Law being a final confirmation of that, according to the opposition. The protesters are demanding a cancellation of the referendum, the withdrawal from the agreement with Daredland to create the Daredland-West Zilveren Berg Brigade, resignation of Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser, resignation of the government and snap elections. However, there are opposition parties with alternative positions with some advocating to boycott the future referendum and some saying that opposition supporters should definetely vote in the referendum, but vote against changing the Basic Law. Currently, it is estimated that there are between 15,000 and 20,000 protesters in national capital New Kengara alone. The demonstrations are being held in New Kengara and in other cities.

BREAKING: Skirmishes Break Out On The Border Between The Reunified State Of Vesvai And The Union Of Oblaren And Herbora

Shots are being fired at the border between the Reunified State of Vesvai and the Union of Oblaren and Herbora. Vesvaite Revolutionary Army and the Armed Forces of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora are engaged in a firefight without crossing the border. Vesvai's Ministry of the Vesvaite Revolutionary Army says that the top officers and commanders informed the government about the Union forces beginning the shelling of Vesvaite positions that were stationed on their own territory and made no moves in either direction. Currently the clashes are limited to exchanges of rifle fire, machine gun fire, bazooka fire and artillery fire with heavier tech not having been engaged yet on either side. But VRA commanders warns that if escalation continues then that could soon come into play. Vesvai's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the Union's actions and called on the other side to stop shooting. Vesvai's Prime Minister Fila Nemo, who has been preoccupied with post-election affairs, has already reacted by issuing her own condemnation and calling on the Union to stop.

BREAKING: Union And Vesvaite Militaries Clash At The Border

The Armed Forces of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora is acting in defense of the nation as the military of the Reunified State of Vesvai which carries on the name the Vesvaite Revolutionary Army from the days of New Vesvai has opened fire on Herbora's part of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora. Vesvai's forces have opened fire on Union troops on the border without provocation. Minister of Defense of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Varsi Polvandet said that Vesvai's forces have begun shelling the Union's positions near the border but are now engaging more weapons and might soon involve the heavy artillery. Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Fógâr Nélsân, who has recently also become a member of the newly created Council of Presidents in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, has arrived in West Zilveren Berg. Sunrisia Deploys Rapid Reaction Units (RRU) To Help Vesvai Against Oblaren And Herbora

The Department of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia has announced that the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia has deployed the Rapid Reaction Units (RRU) to the Reunified State of Vesvai to fight alongside the armed forces of Vesvai against the armed forces of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora in the ongoing border clashes. The deployment was also confirmed by National Defense Consultant (NDC) Suâv Ambústên and the final decision was made by commander-in-chief President Sálût Érátân. This course of action was taken outside the framework of the National Defense Council meeting. An official National Defense Council meeting on the further Sunrisian course of action is in the works. According to National Defense Consultant (NDC) Ambústên that is when a decision would be made to start mobilizing the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) for war in defense of Vesvai. RRU forces are meant to help Vesvai withhold the attacks until Sunrisia mobilizes its' military officially and until MDAA likewise assembles and starts mobilizing. Sunrisia is carrying out this course of action in defense of Vesvai as an MDAA member state under the collective defense clause. Currently, there are no order of a counter-offensive into the territory of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora.

The decision to deploy RRU has been taken by the Érátân administration without consulting with or asking for permission from the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia. The commander-in-chief made the final decision. This drew criticism from opposition parties in the Convet and also from Léma Tempéstĕr, former President, Youth of the Nation (YN) party member, lawmaker, Chairman of the Tempéstĕr Committee, recent presidential candidate and now a member of the newly created Council of Presidents, who reminded that Sunrisia was a semi-presidential republic and not a presidential republic. However, Mánâ Sûrcér, Spokesperson for the Department of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, has said that the administration will appeal to the Convet before any future moves like mobilizing major forces to continue Sunrisian involvement in protecting Vesvai and before actually deploying. Daredland calls up an MDAA consultation over the clashes between Vesvai and the Union of Oblaren and Herbora

Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection of the Daredi Confederation Carlos Neumann and Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Jaime Schmidt have announced that Daredland has decided to call up an MDAA consultation on the military escalation that has broken out on the border between Vesvai and the Union of Oblaren and Herbora. Neumann said that this is a difficult situation but it might look like Daredland may have to soon fulfil obligations it has taken on while accepting new security privilleges when joining MDAA. Vesvai is not just a Council of 3 ally but an ally in MDAA which means that an attack on one is an attack on all. Sunrisia has already deployed rapid reaction forces and will be mobilizing major forces to intervene further. Neumann says that Daredland may be forced to soon go in that direction too and that is why an MDAA consultation will determine what the alliance's response will be. At the same time Schmidt supported an initiative by another fellow member of the Council of 3 and a nation that is also becoming a military ally of Daredland by forming a common brigade. West Zilveren Berg has called on Vesvai and the Union to de-escalate and meet in New Kengara, West Zilveren Berg to agree on a cease-fire. If that were to happen it would be a first such meeting. If the sides managed to agree on such a meeting it could help avert a bigger war since MDAA will be forced to react.

National Defense Council Called Up For Further Discussion And Planning Of Course Of Action Towards The Vesvai-Oblaren And Herbora Escalation

President Sálût Érátân, as commander-in-chief, has called up a National Defense Council meeting to discuss the armed escalation between Vesvai and the Union of Oblaren and Herbora on their common border, where Sunrisian Rapid Reaction Units (RRU) have recently arrived to aid Vesvaite forces in self-defense. However, it was clear that this was only a first response measure to buy time and that the real involvement would begin later. In this meeting, it is expected that a decision will be made and orders given out to start mobilizing the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) and specifically the Sunrisian Army, the Sunrisian Air Force and the Sunrisian Naval Forces to deploy to fight on behalf of Vesvai under MDAA obligations. However, after criticism from Sunrisian lawmakers in the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, for the Érátân administration deploying first forces without consulting with the legislature first, the administration now promises that it would seek approval of the Convet first, prior to taking any action. Meanwhile, Secretary of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia in MDAA Altér Sódálî has confirmed the beginning of the MDAA consultation called up by Daredland on the alliance preparing to stand in the defense of Vesvai. West Zilveren Berg is undertaking efforts to defuse the tensions and convince the sides to engage in diplomatic talks and agree on a cease-fire, for which West Zilveren Berg received support from Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Cálêr Ustrīnâ.
