Union Of Oblaren And Herbora Holds Mixed Reactions To The Vesvaite Reunification Agreement

While the main topic on the Island of Vesvai these days is the reaching of a Reunification Agreement between the governments of New Vesvai and the Sovereign State of Vesvai, the Union government has a mixed reaction towards it. While the Union government can't denounce the treaty because it is an affair and the decision of both Vesvaite states what to do among themselves, the Union government declared that it wouldn't congratulate either of the Vesvais with the historic reunification. The Union would take a neutral position. The Ministry of Defense of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora justifiably says that these developments on the rest of the Island of Vesvai are ignoring the security concerns of the Union are only potentially creating new security challenges to the Union and specifically to Herbora's part of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora that is located on the Island of Vesvai. The Union government said that the most that the Union has to think about regarding Vesvaite reunification is that the reunified Vesvaite state is potentially a new national security challenge which the Union will have on its border and thus it has to think how to deal with it and be prepared to withstand against it. With it having been confirmed that the new reunified Vesvaite state will be not just a militarized state with Sunrisian troops and a member of MDAA, the Union is left to conclude that this is an undeniable threat that the Union will now have to be forced to deter. The failure of the most recent Union-Sunrisian talks in West Zilveren Berg doesn't create much confidence for the better either.

Sunrisians Go To The Polls For The Local Elections

After presidential and legislative elections, the next voting in line is the local elections. Sunrisians have headed to the polls to elect local authorities. Since the country is a unitary system, despite its' territorial size and the size of population, there are no elections for different regions. They are limited to only to city governments and at most the municipalities. Largely, the race for the local authorities is made up of pretty much the same political parties, political alliances, coalitions and electoral blocs that competed in the presidential and legislative elections. Except in local elections, the rules are more similar to the presidential election, as the voters are casting ballots for specific individuals representing specific political forces or pretty often no political force, as there are those running as Independents as well. Opinion polls are promising success for candidates representing the parties that ended up in the incumbent governing coalition that got re-elected for the second term in the legislative election.

New Vesvai Calls Up An MDAA Consultation On Vesvaite Reunification

New Vesvai has called up an MDAA consultation meant to find out with other member states of MDAA will approve of the conditions of the Reunification Agreement. Even though this agreement is only between New Vesvai and the Sovereign State of Vesvai both nations want to know if the rest of MDAA would approve of the Sovereign State of Vesvai being incorporated into New Vesvai, a member of MDAA, and thus automatically making the new reunified Vesvaite state an MDAA member too. New Vesvai will obviously approve of this and the Sovereign State of Vesvai also backs the agreement but consensus is needed from Sunrisia, Creperia, Edereon and Daredland too. The news on how the consultation went and whether the rest of MDAA gave their consent in consensus will be reported in the aftermath.

Parties Of The Governing Coalition Take The Lead In Local Elections

The political parties that make up the incumbent and recently re-elected governing coalition, have ended up taking the lead in the local elections in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia. The Conservative Party of Sunrisia (CPS), the Egress Alliance (EA), the Civic Nationalist Sovereignty Bloc (CNSB), the Iron Dome Party (IDP), the Renaissance Party (RP) and Youth of the Nation (YN) have ended up in the leading positions. These parties or their representatives will make up the authorities in the cities, towns and municipalities around the country. Even though the parties of the governing coalition, unlike in the legislative election, ran separately in the local elections, they still ended up in the lead together and they will coincidentally end up making up another political authority together on another level, except in multiple instances around the country.

Today, Creperia is holding two simultaneous snap elections: parliamentary and presidential. The snap parliamentary one is perceived as more important because Creperia is a parliamentary state where the government cabinet and the parliament hold more power. The president's office is not entirely powerless but holds less weight that it once used to have a while ago. The key event is to appoint a head of government or prime minister who would be the true leader and "face of the nation." On this day, Creperian voters will be receiving two ballots instead of one and both will be for the two separate elections. One ballot will ask for their favored party who they would want to enter the National Assembly and the other one will be asking for the presidential candidates. Having recently resigned, ex-President Jall Cvīcli declined to run in the race, stating that if he wanted to be head of state still or return to power so soon, he would not have resigned in the first place. On the other hand, Openness movement that just recently lost power after the coalition it had with other parties collapsed and so did the overall government, is still running in the snap parliamentary election and has even pushed forth a new presidential candidate from Openness.

Sunrisia Introduces Visa-Free Regime With West Zilveren Berg

The Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia has done as it had promised. The Department of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia has announced that Sunrisia is introducing a visa-free regime with West Zilveren Berg in response to West Zilveren Berg having unilaterally done so earlier. While the visa exemption for Sunrisian citizens coming to West Zilveren Berg is unlimited, with our citizens being allowed to come without a visa to West Zilveren Berg and stay there for as long as they wish, the Sunrisian visa exemption has a limit, which is 60 days for now. Some Sunrisian opposition politicians and citizens' groups have already criticized this as being unfair, referring not only to Sunrisian visa policy, but also to other countries, because many countries have introduced a limitless visa exemption for Sunrisian citizens, while Sunrisia has a limit for pretty much every country that has visa-free access to Sunrisia and even then, the list of those countries is only a handful. However, the Department of International Relations is making excuses that it is not done out of spite or out of an egotistical reason and yet, the diplomats are not giving an explanation on why the visa policy is limited either. Just like in other cases, in order to formalize the visa exemption for the citizens of West Zilveren Berg, the new policy will be going through the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia before being approved and going into force.

Nationalist Party of Creperia (NPC) is celebrating what could basically be considered a victory in the Creperian snap parliamentary election. One of the youngest parties in Creperia has collected 42% in the election which is more than everybody else. The leading position in the next composition of the National Assembly of Creperia is basically guaranteed along with a key role in forming the governing cabinet and appointing the head of government. But that is still not a clear majority which means that a coalition will be required with other parties. Meanwhile, no candidate won the clear majority in the snap presidential election, making it head into a run-off.

New Vesvai Calls Up A SOWEFTA Consultation On Vesvaite Reunification

After calling up an MDAA consultation on Vesvaite reunification New Vesvai has now called up a SOWEFTA consultation on Vesvaite reunification. The goal is to get the approval for the new reunified Vesvaite state to automatically become a member of MDAA and SOWEFTA because the reunification is happening through the incorporation of the Sovereign State of Vesvai into New Vesvai. The latter is already a member of MDAA and SOWEFTA and the new reunified state will be a successor of New Vesvai rather than a brand new Vesvaite state starting from scratch. New Vesvai's government did not say what the result was of the MDAA consultation yet but the fact New Vesvai has moved forward into the SOWEFTA consultation is suggesting that things may have worked out.

Residents of the region of Pamerava, Baggnagia vote in the autonomous regional election

AUTONOMY OF PAMERAVA, BAGGNAGIA - Baggnagians are moving forward with another election. This one is limited a certain geographic part of Baggnagia and limited only to residents of that part. The conversation is about Pamerava. The residents of Pamerava are going to the polls to vote for their region's next autonomous government. This would be the second regional election for the autonomous government of Pamerava since the autonomous territory was founded as an autonomous subject within the Baggnagian state. Just like in the previous nationwide elections all the same parties would be running in the exclusive Pameravan regional election and according to polls conservative, centirst, center, center-right or national parties from the Pameravan culture have higher chances at winning.

President Sálût Érátân Hosts Prime Minister Osa Repẽna Of Edereon In Orentan

Prime Minister Osa Repẽna of Edereon, a technically acting head of state, has arrived in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia for the first time. This is the first foreign visit for the factual leader of Edereon since the snap elections in that country. Traditionally, the convoy of the Prime Minister of Edereon was greeted as it pulled up to the Presidential Palace in Orentan. President Érátân greeted the Ederi head of government outside the Palace and proceeded to introduce the guest to a delegation of Sunrisian officials waiting alongside the President, while the media and the crowds of random citizens captured the moment by witnessing it. After introductions, President Érátân led Prime Minister Repẽna of Edereon inside the Presidential Palace, where she was invited to sign a guest book. The 2 then proceeded across the hallways, as the President gave the guest a little tour. Eventually, both reached the room, where talks would be held. After a few pictures, both sides proceeded to hold talks. Prime Minister Osa Repẽna visits Sunrisia

Prime Minister Osa Repẽna has gone on her first and possibly only foreign trip as the head of government of Edereon. At the same time the current acting head of government has put forth her candidacy for Prime Minister and given that the NFNU coalition that she's part of took second place, it is realistic she might become the Prime Minister again. If that happens, future foreign visits might await her. The current foreign visit we're referring to is to Sunrisia. The Prime Minister travelled to hold talks with President of Sunrisia Sálût Érátân and officials of his administration some of whom have recently visited Edereon. The President of Sunrisia congratulated PM Osa Repẽna with successful elections and with NFNU taking such high positions in it, while PM Repẽna congratulated the Sunrisian President with a recent re-election for a second term.

President Stanislav Smoler supports the current cabinet remaining

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA - President Stanislav Smoler has announced that he personally supports the current cabinet led by Prime Minister Vyacheslav Koch to remain. Since Baggnagia just had all of its election and the same political forces ended up being re-elected the president sees it as logical that the same cabinet have a right to remain in office to continue being the government. At the same time he said that it will be up to the MPs to decide who would lead the next cabinet. If the Chamber of Deputies now to be led by a new coalition even if it largely includes the same parties as before will push for a new cabinet and a new head of government then the president will be required to adjust to that. But at the same time the president personally endorsed in advance for the Koch cabinet to remain or a new Koch cabinet to be appointed which would be the second cabinet if it becomes composed of different ministers in certain positions.

Daredi government debates foreign military bases on the Confederation's territory

The government is holding another meeting by cabinet officials called up and chaired by President of the Daredi Confederation Albert Vogt. The meeting was called up at the request of Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection of the Daredi Confederation Carlos Neumann. It is dedicated to something that was never truly discussed in Daredland before and has only been raised as a topic because of Daredland having recently become a member of MDAA. With Daredland now being part of the alliance the Confederal Minister wants to raise a debate on whether the Confederation should put itself forward to hosting foreign military bases. That would include Sunrisian bases, bases of other MDAA members or joint MDAA bases and military facilities. Neumann said that he is not personally advocating for that but invited to consider the realistic fact that it would increase the Daredi security guarantees even more apart from the nation just being a member of MDAA and thus verbally having to rely on the bloc's protection. He said that allied troops are only present in Daredland on regular basis as trainers but they deploy rotationally and are not staying behind permanently. Bases would create a permanent deployment of allied forces on Daredi territory on permanent basis with boots on the ground guaranteeing Daredi protection even more. The Confederal Minister suggested that if MDAA looks forward to strategically expand its joint military infrastructure for one reason or another then Daredland should volunteer to host some of that infrastructure on its territory.

New Vesvai Calls Up A Council Of 3 Consultation On Vesvaite Reunification

After MDAA and SOWEFTA consultations the natural next step is a consultation at the Council of 3 which is another major organization which New Vesvai is a member of. In fact the Council of 3 is the only organization that New Vesvai is a founding member of. Like with the aforementioned previous blocs New Vesvai is seeking approval of the representatives of the other two Council members Daredland and West Zilveren Berg along with the Council verdict overall on Vesvaite Reunification. New Vesvai wants to see if the Council will accept the incorporation of the Sovereign State of Vesvai into New Vesvai which would automatically make the future reunified Vesvaite state a member of the Council as a successor state of New Vesvai.

Severenica holds regional election for autonomous government

AUTONOMY OF SEVERENICA, BAGGNAGIA - The region of Severenica in Baggnagia's north is seeing a regional election for an autonomous government in a similar light as the region of Pamerava. The residents of the region of Severenica have gone to the polls to elect the autonomous government that would run the region concurrently with the central government in Jugac. Opinion polls in Severenica are seeing different tendencies from Pamerava or what happened in nationwide Baggnagian elections. Opinion polls in Severenica are showing greater support for left-wing or at most center-left parties in comparison to a more right-leaning Pamerava or Baggnagia overall. The Socialist Party of Baggnagia (SPB) has seen high support numbers in Severenica and the Socialist candidate in the presidential election Vasil Neumann who did better in Severenica during the presidential election than incumbent President Stanislav Smoler who ultimately got re-elected by a collective nationwide result.

Edereon forms a new government

After snap elections, Edereon has now formed a government. The Neo-Nationalist Party of Edereon (NNPE) and the New Forces of National Union (NFNU) coalition have formed a larger coalition which will lead the new government. Originally there were debates to form a coalition with two more or three more parties but they have settled on a NNPE-NFNU coalition. Prime Minister Osa Repẽna, the acting head of government in the transitional government, has now been officially appointed a full-time Prime Minister of this new NNPE-NFNU coalition government. Having accepted the appointment at the House of Representatives after being voted in, the Prime Minister-designate has head to the Royal Palace to receive the final approval from His Majesty King Glac Crustal IV.

Midnight report on election results: Conservatives lead in Pamerava, Socialists lead in Severenica

AUTONOMIES OF PAMERAVA AND SEVERENICA, BAGGNAGIA - The results of both regional elections in both autonomous regions of Baggnagia have been publicized. In Baggnagia the Conservative Party of Baggnagia (CPB) has taken the lead with 39%. The party is leading but it is not on top enough to take a clear majority in the autonomous government. A coalition will have to be formed but CPB will still have a key role. The same situation is for the political force that led the regional election in Pamerava. 45% has been taken by the Socialist Party of Baggnagia (SPB) which took the lead but did not claim a clear majority. Under the same rules SPB would have to form a coalition with someone else but it would still claim a leading role in the autonomous government.

The Sovereign State of Vesvai would become incorporated into New Vesvai which in turn will create a reunified Vesvaite state that will be a successor state of New Vesvai. The treaty has only been signed but in order for it to take effect both parliaments would have to ratify it: one in Perloveu and one in Aurisi.

Vesvai's Chairperson of the Committee for the Inter-Vesvaite Relations and Peaceful Reunification Anthony Veniba and New Vesvai's Minister of Unification Tori Deca have signed the Reunification Agreement in Perloveu, New Vesvai in a historic moment. This news has just been confirmed out of New Vesvai's capital which will also be the capital of the reunified Vesvaite state. Sunrisia Congratulates New Vesvai And The Sovereign State Of Vesvai On Signing A Reunification Agreement

Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Cálêr Ustrīnâ has congratulated the people of New Vesvai and the Sovereign State of Vesvai on signing a Reunification Agreement in Perloveu, New Vesvai. The Minister stated that the divided Vesvaite people who lived separated not just by a border but also by hostility and rival ideologies will now be together again and that this nation may have been moving in that direction for a long time, even if they felt like their separation was forever or for a very long time, but only now they started to realize that reunification was something they were moving towards this entire time. The head diplomat also expressed hope that there could be first official visits conducted between Sunrisia and the newly reunified Vesvaite state in the near future. Meanwhile, President Sálût Érátân plans to call Prime Minister Fila Nemo of New Vesvai and Prime Minister Klosac Tinosmit of the Sovereign State of Vesvai to likewise offer congratulations on signing the reunification deal to both heads of government personally and to their divided people through them.

The Council of 3 has taken time to dedicate a session to congratulating a member New Vesvai in signing a historic Reunification Agreement with the Sovereign State of Vesvai. Secretary General of the Council of 3 Henrick Janssen has invited the representatives of his own country - West Zilveren Berg and also of Daredland to congratulate the representatives of New Vesvai with the achievement. The Secretary General noted how this might be one of the few last session or the very last session of the Council of 3, where it is still Daredland, New Vesvai and West Zilveren Berg. In the near future, when both Vesvais ratify the signed agreement New Vesvai will be a succeeded by a reunified Vesvaite state under a new name. President Sálût Érátân has welcomed more guests on an official visit to the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia and this time it is even 2 guests at the same time. Acting President of Creperia and Acting Prime Minister of Creperia are both visiting Orentan. Both are visiting for the very first time, while holding both these temporary offices. Traditionally, President Érátân has welcomed both guests outside the Presidential Palace, as their convoys pulled up. As the President greeted both, he pursued to introduce both to a delegation of Sunrisian officials that waited for the 2 guests alongside the President. Afterwards, the head of state led both into the Presidential Palace. Both signed a guest book, afterwards proceeding across the hallway, where President Érátân gave both a short tour. Creperians are voting in the run-off of the snap presidential election. The election is narrowed down to two candidates who took first and second places in first round of the presidential election. The position of the president has been a subject of debate recently because it no longer holds powers that it once used to have. The First Federal Republic, the Democratic Republic and the Second Federal Republic were presidential republics. The present day Third Federal Republic is a parliamentary republic and that has led to the birth of debate for a constitutional reform on having the president elected by the parliament instead of citizens because of how ceremonial the office is. But until that happens or does not the president continues to be elected directly by citizens despite the office's limited powers and today is no different.

Confederal Minister of Home Affairs Rico Graf of the Daredi Confederation and Confederal Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced People Marian Scholz of the Daredi Confederation are jointly visiting the autonomous region of Haspera. Both Confederal Ministers are observing how the region is developing after having been reintegrated into Daredland following the de-occupation of the region from separatists and the dissolution of the self-declared Hasperan Republic which made the occupied parts return to Daredland. During the existence of the self-declared Hasperan Republic a lot of people had been displaced because of refugees fleeing the occupied territories for Daredland and sometimes for nearby foreign nations. But repatriation has begun since the reintegration of the entire region and the process has been taking place actively. Confederal Minister Marian Scholz has come to observe how effective the repatriation has been, talk to people that have successfully returned to their homes, examine the routes used for repatriation and conclude what the state could do more to assist the process. In the meantime Confederal Minister Rico Graf came to observe the state of the infrastructure and the functioning of state institutions in the region to conclude what advancements need to be made in this area too.

Presidential election results in an Independent Vadd Racōsi becoming president-elect

Independent candidate Vadd Racōsi has been declared the winning president in the run-off election with 58% of the final vote against the opponent. Because of Racōsi's non-partisanship he is considered to be a future head of state that will effectively fulfil the role and cooperate with a multi-party parliament led by a multi-party coalition. The absence of ideological biases is believed to raise the chances of effective cooperation between executive and legislative branches in comparison to a president that would have been someone aligned to a specific political party. Racōsi thanked all of his opponents that ran against him and called for more productive cooperation with them in the political field while also thanking all voters and supporters for getting him to this point.
