Protests Erupt in Ochenea
Today protests formed across Ochenea including within the national mall over a growing conflict between the nations of Sunrisia and Rezua. This started with the sinking of the RIN Albatross, a rezuan naval vessel that was sunk by the Sunrisia, this occurred near the Sorilette Isles. Sunrisia has claimed that the Rezuan ship attacked first, however many Ocheneans have sided with Rezua and refuse to believe the claims of the Sunrisian government. Ocheneans may also be biased due to humanitarian aid given by Rezuans to the poor and unfortunate in Ochenea and may have chosen simply to not bite the hands that feed them. Protesters seem to be trying to urge the Ochenean government to openly support the Rezuan Government and it’s people. Some are even calling for a world war with Sunrisia.

The President has entered multiple meetings with the defense department over the issue and sources say there has been discussion of sending Ochenean Troops into Rezua to help aid the nation. The President publicly however has only condemned the incident as an unwanted conflict, and that he hopes that peace can be achieved between Sunrisia and Rezua before it is too late. The President further stated that he would do anything he could to help resolve the conflict peacefully.

Both Versions Of “Behind Blue Eyes” Return To The Charts As #1 And #2 Interchangeably, Becoming The “Quarantine Song”: Also Reflecting The National Mood Over Abducted Navy Officers

These interesting times have left their mark on all walks of life, it seems. That includes music, including the new material which is coming out, as well as the comeback of some older material from another time. Shows you how timeless some things can be. It might have been about something else, when originally composed, but then it would return to the mainstream, because it reflects what the people are thinking or feeling now. Also shows you how multi-layered some lyrics can be. We are talking about the English-language song – “Behind Blue Eyes.”

The original 1970’s version and the 2000’s version of “Behind Blue Eyes” have both not just returned to the Sunrisian charts decades after both were released, but they have topped them. Both versions now sit at Number 1 and Number 2 interchangeably. One day, the 70’s version will be Number 1, while the 2000’s version will be Number 2. The next day the 2000’s version will be Number 1 and the 70’s version will be Number 2. And that is how it switches back and forth.

The melancholic song has returned to the minds of Sunrisians in these times of RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus, the subsequent quarantine, and the abduction of 29 Sunrisian navy officers, whom the entire country is now worried for, without mentioning the prospect of a war with Rezua and possibly more countries. However, “Behind Blue Eyes” appears to be more associated with the virus and the quarantine today. It has now been nicknamed – the “Quarantine Song.” It is topping the charts, playing on the radio consistently and is being covered by Sunrisians themselves, who are recording themselves playing and singing the song from isolation at home, whether it is a guitar cover, a piano cover or some other instrument.

It is unlikely that the original authors of “Behind Blue Eyes”, the 1970’s original, ever thought the song would return as the “Quarantine Song.” Obviously being written at another time, the lyrics most likely were about something completely different, but they are now resonating with people, including new generations, which are stuck in isolation. The original was written by a band of immigrants to Sunrisia from an English-speaking country, who wrote and performed in their native tongue, but still found an audience in this country.

There have been unofficial Sunrisian translations of the song, with words written in our language that could match the melody. Obviously, a direct translation of the lyrics from English to Sunrisian would not work, so every recorded unofficial version of the song had some improvisation in it from those who wrote them and, as a result, it made each stand out from the other. However, with a resurfaced popularity of “Behind Blue Eyes” at the charts, some Sunrisian musicians have talked about writing and recording an official Sunrisian-language studio version of “Behind Blue Eyes.” That means we might have to look forward to a 2020 or a 2021 Sunrisian-language cover of “Behind Blue Eyes” or maybe even several.

Empress Agrees to Twelve Person Prisoner Exchange

In an unusual conversation, the Sunrisian leadership chose to send their response to the empire through a third party, who they have chosen as mediator between the current tension without asking what our government thought of that. Parliament is divided over this issue, some believe that it is unfair that Sunrisia gets to pick a mediator that admitted it was bias towards Sunrisia. Others see some communication as better than no communication. Regardless of how the message reached Rezua, it seems to offer some chance at resolving the current tension in a peaceful manner.

Empress Ymira has agreed that the way in which Sunrisia delivered its message is unusual, but is pleased that the Sunrisian leadership has agreed to have a goodwill prisoner exchange. In the future, the empress has requested more direct communication with the Sunrisian leadership to ensure that there are no miscommunications. After all, playing telephone with matters of state is a dangerous game. Empress Ymira has proposed that the exchange take place in international waters halfway between the Isles of Soril and Sunrisia. Additionally, no large warship ship fleets would be allowed, nor any air support. A simple exchange between two unarmed vessels with one escort vessel each. The escorts would wait while the two unarmed vessels drew along side each other to exchange the prisoners. From there, both sides would sail way to their respected home ports.

An interesting develop in this story is the apparent surprise from Sunrisian media at hearing that there actually are Rezuans held prisoner by the Sunrisian leadership. Sunrisian news medias have even questioned if there is anything else being kept from them, and mentioned another time when Sunrisian leadership kept the nation in the dark about a conflict. The Councils of Parliament have asked the Sunrisians for transparency, to ensure honest communication. To this effect, Parliament has released more information about the Sunrisians POWs. Those held prisoner by Rezua are being treated well, with all the rights and privileges of POWs. They have been given the ability to call loved ones to let them know that they are alright, since the sailors were concerned that their families might think them lost at sea or deceased. An attorney has been appointed to them, so that grievances they have may be taken to Rezuan courts.

Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Esécăs Abstántâ has contacted the government of West Zilveren Berg again, to transfer a second message to the Rezuan leadership, following their latest response to the previous message. Emissary Esécăs Abstántâ has reached Secretary of Foreign Affairs Aart Teuling of West Zilveren Berg and Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek. As with the previous message, it is not yet known what the message contains, until Secretary of Foreign Affairs Aart Teuling of West Zilveren Berg will hopefully speak about it in his next public statement, similar to how it was with the last message.

For now, the good news is that the Rezuan leadership has agreed to the 12 for 12 swap of prisoners, offering its’ own format of how it would like things to be done and the process handled. The public outcry in Sunrisia, with anti-Rezuan sentiment and a pressure on the Sunrisian government to return the 29 abducted navy officers in enemy captivity, continues. Even if it seems like progress has been reached and the 12 for 12 prisoner swap will happen, the activism regarding the navy officer cause, including on the street, will not seem to end until all 29 navy officers are back home. Although the new that 12 would be released from Rezuan captivity and brought back home, has definitely developed a positive public reaction in our country. However, the civil society is not rushing to giving the government credit until all 39 navy officers are back home.

The rallies, demonstrations and street activism around Sunrisia regarding the fate of Sunrisian navy officers in enemy captivity, has generated some concerns, since they are happening in a country under quarantine, where public gatherings should be avoided. That is why, the activist leaders of these causes have been promoting “socially-distanced” rallies and demonstrations, as paradoxical as it may sound, where those gathered have protective gear, keep physical distance from each other and rally in separate groups and rows one after another, rather than pile into huge crowds.

Secretary of Foreign Affairs Aart Teuling has come out publicly to deliver the contents of the second message aimed at the Rezuan leadership that were given to the West Zilveren Foreign Affairs Department by Sunrisian Emissary for Adversary Exchanges Esécăs Abstántâ. This is part of ongoing mediation in the conflict, balancing on war, between Sunrisia and Rezua:

“The Sunrisian side has said that the 12 for 12 proposal was originally made as part of the Rezua-proposed “good will” exchange. However, in this most recent message that Sunrisian Emissary for Adversary Exchanges Esécăs Abstántâ has given to our Department and myself personally, he said that Sunrisia is ready to exchange “everybody for everybody.” In order for there not to be any confusion, the Emissary said that Sunrisia is willing to exchange 35 Rezuan sailors for 29 Sunrisian navy officers, putting forward no pre-conditions itself and not expecting no pre-conditions from Rezua. In case there were already preparations made for a 12 for 12 exchange, the Emissary said that there can be a second exchange soon after, where the “everybody would be exchanged for everybody”, referring to the remainder of those that would remain in bilateral custody.

Sunrisian Emissary said that the Sunrisian side will support the format of exchanging of prisoners half-way between Sunrisia and Rezua’s Isles of Soril, with the swap being conducted by unarmed vessels with escorts. However, Sunrisia insists that there be almost no physical or direct contact between Sunrisian military personnel and Rezuan military personnel, as well as Sunrisian prisoners and Rezuan prisoners, because of RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus. Rezuan prisoners will be given virus tests prior to the exchange and provided with protective gear from the virus, including masks and gloves, before being given back to their own. In case any of their prisoners test positive, the information will be given to the other side.

Speaking of the prisoner treatment, the 35 sailors are kept in sterile conditions, which should ensure that they would not be reached by the virus. They were given the opportunity to contact, who they needed, to confirm their well-being. They were not given the legal status of POWs, because there was no formal declaration of war, but the status given to them is on the level of POWs, despite not being formally referred to as such. They are being treated humanely.”

Final Day Of State Of Emergency: Sunrisia Switching To Just Quarantine

Today is final day of the State of Emergency in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia and it is moving towards its’ conclusion in a few hours, according to Orentan CST. The State of Emergency is ending on Day 22 along with the month of April, as it was originally declared to last until May 1st, where it would have been either extended or not as it approached its’ conclusion, depending on the situation. The decision has been made not to extend it, much to the joy of many Sunrisian citizens, who feel like they will be able to have more freedom now.

The Sunrisian government has decided to move on from the State of Emergency into National Quarantine, which might sound like the continuation of the same unusual state of things in the country, but will be much lighter by comparison. The degree of the Quarantine and its’ severity will also differ based on the improvement or worsening of the situation with RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus in the country. Right now, there is a total of 18 cases nationwide, which technically is a non-number for a large country, but neither the society nor the government are willing to take a risk or underestimated the disease, including not undermining what those 18 individuals in this country are confronting and those around the world, where there have already been fatalities, unfortunately. On the other side, by Sunrisian standards, given the country’s size, the population and overall state of public health and following of quarantine rules, the Department of Health of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia recommended that the country move on from the State of Emergency, when it runs out, just to Quarantine. And that was the path chosen.

The Dîlectên administration and the Convet have both agreed to go by the recommendations of the Department of Health and chose Quarantine over the extension of the State of Emergency, which Sunrisia imposed twice and on 2 separate occasions, not too far apart from each other. That is without mentioning the Martial Law in recent history. So it has been enough. Tomorrow, the Department of the Interior and Home Affairs of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia will announce new public rules for how things will be inside the country under just Quarantine. However, it is certain that the borders will remain closed.

Prime Minister Adi Letago Could Reassume Duties In 4-5 Or 15-16 Days

New Vesvai’s Prime Minister Adi Letago might reassume duties of head of government in four to five or fifteen to sixteen days from now. Those are two very different periods but that’s because they’re linked to the uncertainty of how long the self-isolation and incubation period over the Novell Illness should last. In some reports it was described as nineteen days. PM Adi Letago and New Vesvai’s delegates who accompanied him to SOWEFTA and New Vesvai meeting where they might’ve contacted with the virus, have been on self-isolation and incubation for fifteen days now. All this time Deputy Prime Minister Nikau Pasvecal has been the head of government. By this theory PM Letago could return in four to five days and the delegates could also come out in that time. But there have also been accounts where the incubation or self-isolation should last almost up to a month. Going by the second option PM Letago and the delegates could come out of isolation in fifteen to sixteen days. Originally opposition MPs insisted on month-long isolation for the Prime Minister and the delegates. Medical professionals recommended the same. PM himself and the delegates also favored the second option so the government also went by it in its position. All in the name of minimal risk for the small nation and maximum safety. So by the look of things it looks like this incubation and self-isolation period might last until fifteen to sixteen days rather than four or five. But it’s also early to tell whether those in quarantine might change their mind or if the doctors might tell them it’s safe to come out earlier. So far nobody of those in self-isolation have reported any symptoms and the tests they had were negative.

Rezuan Drone Shot Down Over A Sunrisian Warship In The International Waters

Sunrisian Naval Forces have confirmed that an enemy drone was shot down over a Sunrisian warship patrolling in the international waters in the Lutentian Ocean. The navy is certain that it was a drone belonging to and operated by the armed forces of Rezua. The navy said it has no reason to doubt it or consider any other theories. The drone was shot down by the same ship that it was hovering over. The navy did not take the risk of analyzing whether it was a reconnaissance drone or an armed attack drone that could fire at the warship. Time was not a friend and the crew had to react quickly. The threatening target was taken down straight away. According to the navy officers on board, the drone’s flaming pieces plummeted straight into the ocean. The navy is now preparing to fish it out for anti-pollution purposes, but also to have more evidence that it was a Rezuan drone, based on the markings on the drone’s pieces. The warship that was being circled by the drone, will now have more Sunrisian warships being sent from other points of patrol, closer towards it as reinforcement, seeing to how there is suspicion that the Rezuan drone may have been an early sign of a preparing Rezuan attack. Whether that drone was preparing to attack itself, in case it was an armed attack drone, or it was just doing reconnaissance in preparation for an attack by larger Rezuan forces, is a secondary matter of concern, according to the military.

Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vîsár Inpétăs said the warship did everything right and that the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) overall, whether the Sunrisian Air Force, the Sunrisian Naval Forces, the Sunrisian Army or any other branch of the military, will be ready to do the same and that there would be no intimidation accepted. Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Esécăs Abstántâ said that Sunrisia will still pursue and insist on the return of its’ 29 navy officers abducted by the Rezuans and currently remaining in enemy captivity. There was an agreement reached on the exchange of 12 Sunrisian officers for 12 Rezuan sailors, however, the Dîlectên administration promised citizens to achieve the return of all 29 Sunrisians and not allow the capture or harming of any more.

National Council Of Vesvai And National Council Of Rebellion Of Vesvai Hold Negotiation Meetings On Several Occasions

Perloveu-based National Liberation Committee of Independent Vesvai is not the only political body formed by Vesvaian immigrant and dissident community in New Vesvai. It’s also not the only political body that has declared itself an alternative government or a government in exile claiming authority over the territory of Vesvai excluding New Vesvai’s territory. There are two other pro-independence alternative governments of Vesvai that were formed and based in other parts of New Vesvai: National Council of Vesvai and National Council of Rebellion of Vesvai. Both are umbrella organizations of Vesvaian political parties and political movements formed outside of Vesvai. They were formed in different cities and have no relation to each other or to the National Liberation Committee of Independent Vesvai. All three are separate from each other. Although united by a goal and vision of an independent Vesvai these three political bodies also see each other as rivals. Because each sees itself as the single alternative government in exile of an independent Vesvaian state.

While Perloveu-based National Liberation Committee of Independent Vesvai is more well-known and is associated with the widespread National Liberation Movement the other two are not. They are not well known and are not associated with the National Liberation Movement. The Committee is based in New Vesvai’s capital Perloveu. National Council of Vesvai is based in Acenu in Western New Vesvai. National Council of Rebellion of Vesvai is based in Deramia in Southern New Vesvai. While it’s true these two similarly named but unrelated political bodies see each other as competitors they have also started seeing each other as colleagues. They noticed that potential especially since they’re driven by the common goal of achieving Vesvai’s independence from the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. That’s why both National Councils have held meetings in each other’s HQ. The first meeting happened in Acenu where the National Council of Vesvai is based and where it invited the National Council of Rebellion of Vesvai. Soon came reciprocation where the National Council of Rebellion of Vesvai invited the National Council of Vesvai to meet in its own HQ in Deramia. Meetings have been happening ever since. These two umbrella organizations have either been discussing cooperation and partnership or even merger into a larger political body.

But National Council of Vesvai and National Council of Rebellion of Vesvai have neither reached out to the more popular National Liberation Committee of Independent Vesvai. Apparently it has been left out to function on its own. But given the Committee’s larger popularity it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be much of a problem to it. Of course this inability by the pro-independence elements to join forces all together will make it difficult for the Vesvaian dissident community to pursue independence of their nation. Power and influence struggle within the Vesvaian pro-independence movement between these political bodies will definitely stagnate their shared cause.

BREAKING: Union Armed Forces Face Off Against Guerillas In Vesvai’s Part Of The Union Of Oblaren And Vesvai

Armed Forces of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai have faced off against guerilla armed formations in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai today. The fighting happened in southern parts of the nation close to the border with New Vesvai. Union Armed Forces came out victorious because the guerillas soon pulled back. The Union troops did not follow them because no such orders were given. Instead they were told to hold position. Guerillas moved in the southern direction as they were pulling back. The military thinks that the guerillas could attack again. Some commanders suggested that they did not withdraw fully. Instead because they’re guerilla formations they’re still out there lurking and waiting to strike. That’s why the Armed Forces will have to be cautious.

What stood out about the guerillas was the flag they were carrying with them during the fight. It was the flag of the nation of Vesvai but without the Golden Eagle at the top left corner. It’s the exact same flag that was used by anti-Commonwealth skeptics during the days of the Dominion of Vesvai. These days the flag of Vesvai without the Golden Eagle is used by a number of dissident movements and umbrella organizations based in New Vesvai but made up Vesvaian expats. These dissident movements and umbrella organizations based in New Vesvai oppose Vesvai being part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. Prime Minister of Oblaren and Vesvai Jonathan Mollisal previously suggested that these umbrella organizations and movements based in New Vesvai are an instrument created and supported by New Vesvai and very likely MDAA to undermine the integrity of the Union. Given the fact that these guerillas used the same variant of Vesvai’s flag, appeared in the south and moved in the southern direction when retreating it’s very hard not to consider that these guerillas could be associated with those Vesvaian expat organizations in New Vesvai. It’s possible that many of them had retreated into the territory of New Vesvai because they had nowhere to go. All signs point towards New Vesvai and the expat organizations it supports as being the source where these guerillas came from.

Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal suggested that the Union’s Interior Ministry may have to take the lead of dealing with these guerillas on the island of Vesvai. The Union’s intelligence agencies might have to play a role too in seeking guerillas out. PM Jonathan Mollisal said that he hopes President of Oblaren and Vesvai Russel Kelpir and the caretaker Parliament would support the consideration for such action. The head of government thinks that the Union government in Fortwel must react quickly before the “guerilla infestation” spreads and becomes more difficult to contain or deal with later. The military needs clear new orders too to know what to do next because it’s clear that if they don’t hunt for guerillas then the guerillas will definitely hunt for them.

Deputy Prime Minister Nikau Pasvecal Calls Out Union’s Media For New Vesvai Guerilla Connection Conspiracy

New Vesvai’s Deputy Prime Minister Nikau Pasvecal of all people has decided to call out the media of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. Specifically the head of government targeted OVNNHD. The network suggested that the guerillas that had recently appeared in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai are connected to New Vesvai. They had not to subtly suggested that the guerillas that had battled the Armed Forces of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai two days prior had come from New Vesvai and retreated back to New Vesvai. The baseless accusation without proof was made because the guerillas surfaced in the south-western regions of the other side of the border which happened to be near New Vesvai. The fact that pro-independence National Liberation Movement, National Liberation Committee of Independent Vesvai, National Council of Vesvai and National Council of Rebellion of Vesvai: all created by Vesvaian expat communities in New Vesvai are based here has also been thrown around as supposed proof of the connection. Some government officials and military officers over in the Union suggested that the guerillas are connected to these pro-independence expat political bodies and social movements because the guerillas also use the flag of Vesvai without the Golden Eagle. That theory would be fine but Deputy PM Nikau Pasvecal spoke against dragging New Vesvai into this and hinting at state sponsorship to the guerillas on the other side of the border. The head of government said that the other side is only sabotaging already terrible relations by dragging them down to a completely low ground level below hostility. He also hinted that with the targeted propaganda campaign against New Vesvai the media on the other side of the border may try to lay the groundwork for excusing hostile action against New Vesvai. That way they would have a scapegoat to justify their own inability to find the actual source of the guerillas and also to support more attacks on New Vesvai of any sort.

The National Quarantine and restrictions on gatherings of large sums of people in the same place over the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus, have not stopped Sunrisians from being active citizens of their country. People are practicing what has been referred to as “virtual activism” as well as “balcony activism.” With the fall of social media websites in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia and the withdrawal from them along with the social media culture overall, there are still messenger-like platform, where citizens can connect and converse or have large forums with multiple participants. These platforms were used to stage “virtual demonstrations.” Another method that has been used, those opting from something other than technology and wanting something replicating classical demonstrations, have staged campaigns of holding posters and chanting from the balconies of apartment buildings or from the private terrace or backyard of their homes.

The citizens are doing all of this in demand that the Dîlectên administration bring back all 29 Sunrisian navy officers abducted by the Rezuans and held in enemy captivity. These campaigns also contained a strongly anti-Rezuan sentiment like the previous activist demonstrations related to this prisoner situation. This time, Sunrisians condemned the most recent Rezuan provocation aimed at a warship of the Sunrisian Naval Forces, where a Rezuan drone flew by dangerously close and lingered above the ship for a prolonged period of time. This made the warship shoot the drone down and “rightfully so” in the activists’ own words, who say that the other side is sabotaging the prisoner exchange with “thug-like actions.”

The bill does not distinguish between active and inactively ending the life of the patient, and therefore allows for the physician to end the life of the patient with things like pills or lethal injections. The bill does not however permit involuntary euthanasia, and requires that the patient give consent to the euthanasia. This means the extremely senile, small children incapable of giving verbal or written consent, those who are severely retarded or suffering from severe brain damage cannot have their lives ended.

Most recently it has put forth its ambitious foreign policy plan for Baggnagia which gives us a look at what direction might Baggnagia go if the Socialists were to have won the power struggle.

Slippery Slope: Lawmakers At The Convet Talk About A Return To Nuclear Proliferation To Grow Stockpile

Members of the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia are discussing a dangerous topic. Taking into account Sunrisia’s optional first strike nuclear doctrine in case of an attack or invasion of Sunrisia or allies, a number of lawmakers are proposing to return to nuclear proliferation to increase the weapons stockpile. What is more, this is not some party’s proposal, but a bipartisan position among individual lawmakers from multiple parties, including the governing coalition and the opposition. They propose that in addition to convincing commander-in-chief President Addél Dîlectên to continue the growth of the national nuclear arsenal, there must also be a declaration made that the likeliness of ICMBs being used in the current conflict with Rezua will grow the closer the conflict creeps to the Corentian continent.

Lawmakers opposing this proposal say that restarting nuclear proliferation unilaterally could open the Pandora’s Box and cause other countries to follow suite, starting a new round of arms race around the world. Moreover, they added that Sunrisia’s current focus should also be healthcare because of the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus and not just defense, although it has been agreed on that military cannot be undercut by any means, because the country is currently in the state of active conflict, not just the usual geopolitical tensions with the Englean Kaiserreich, the Rhodeve Commonwealth and others. Interestingly enough, Convet Speaker Flórên Infána did not take a stance on nuclear proliferation yet. One of the pro-proliferation lawmakers was from the Speaker’s Civic Nationalist Sovereignty Bloc party and the Speaker did not take a stance neither in support nor against a fellow party member. Instead, Speaker Infána will let the debate go on.

Pro-proliferation Members of the Convet want the National Defense Consultant Líbêll Aûctórên and Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vîsár Inpétăs to be invited to the Convet to hear out this proposal and even partake at the debate with lawmakers. In fact, many would like to go straight to the source and see commander-in-chief President Addél Dîlectên come to the Convet and become part of the conversation on the continued nuclear proliferation topic.

PLFWCD coalition says that for now it will not exit government, surrender its mandates and go into opposition

Since PLFWCD massively resigned from the Daredi government in protest to the ‘Englean-benefiting’ Weniges peace plan the coalition threatened to even drop all of its mandates, exit the government and go into opposition. But that threat did not bring in much turbulence into the government. On the contrary opposition Klare Sicht (Clear View) Alliance saw an opportunity to rise higher in the hierarchy. To keep its government from collapsing the governing LPM coalition agreed to appoint a lot of officials from PCA and SLP parties of Klare Sicht into the Confederal Cabinet and the United Confederal Assembly. They filled vacancies that were created by resignations of PLFWCD members. An ambitious Klare Sicht went as far as to say it would be ready to take all of PLFWCD mandates if it went through with its threatened exit from the government. And seems like the LPM coalition would have made the opportunist move of accepting that seeing the rising popularity of Klare Sicht and the government’s declining ratings.

As de facto leader of PLFWCD Franz Potesinan now said that the coalition would not exit the government and instead stay within it to ‘correct the system from the inside.’ He noted that trying to do so from the opposition would be much harder.

“This government has always been more Englean-tolerant and less nationalist than we had been. And it is becoming and will become more pro-Englean especially now that Klare Sicht (Clear View) is infiltrating it. Just look at the relationship that Klare Sicht has with the GU coalition who openly want to bring Daredland as close in the Englean direction as possible. They’re pan-Germanists. Klare Sicht are opportunists and populists. They will forever criticize whatever government Daredland has if they’re not part of it. They also have no clear position and they always change their stances to whatever is popular at the time. They will tell people what they want to hear and promise them anything while not saying how they would achieve anything.

If this is not enough then let me remind you that Klare Sicht is made up of PCA and SLP parties. These are parties that were part of the regime we ousted in the nationwide Flaming Revolution. They acted in an opportunist matter then and they are acting in an opportunist matter now. They will back whoever is closest to giving them a piece of power. That regime was led by the LGD party which was an opposition party that climbed to the top overnight by using constitutional loopholes. They did not have the proper elected authority. And PCA and SLP supported them as soon as LGD got the grip on power while being reluctant at first. Right now Klare Sicht is using the same strategy. They are climbing in the hierarchy and seek to take a large place in the government even though they’re an opposition alliance that combined did not get enough votes in the elections to be so high up. They’re using loopholes again and also buying off LPM or conspiring with LPM. Daredland is making a second round of the situation we had been in before. That’s what happens when remnants of an old regime try to sneak back in and have access to a new government. Our mistake was that we never had our own lustration process in Daredland after the Flaming Revolution.

So now in order not to give Klare Sicht a gift in a form of our resignation and allow them to take our place we’ll stay in the government and tweak the system from the inside. They anticipated we’ll voluntarily exit into opposition and lose our influence. Well we were emotionally on the verge of doing so because of our frustration over the Weniges peace plan that benefits the Englean invaders. Though she trains for competitions, Sarah does not forget her place in the National Army Reserves where she makes her superiors appear underwhelming. From Yerushalayim today the first issue of Menassas's most popular state-run newspaper HaSopher "THE SCRIBE" was released to the region of Sunyala via the Internet as well as a subscription service.

HaSopher is the most popular newspaper in Menassa. The sales figures for the newspaper last quarter were staggering, if the statistics are done properly ninety five percent of Menassan households have a subscription. However, since the paper's inception it was written in Lashon HaKodesh, Menassa's holy language. Around ten years ago, the paper's editor-in-chief, and Menassa's Minister of the Foreign Peoples Yosef Bar Kufya came to the Great Court in Yerushelayim to propose an English language edition of the paper.

Although theories (ranging from genuine to downright rebellious) abound as to why Officer Bar Kufya did this but after two years in the Great Court the proposal was approved and the proposal went to the desk of King Matthias Janneus. The public had to wait another three years before the King had approved the proposal and the work needed to create the paper could begin in earnest.

Regarding that project, which was aptly code-named "THE SCRIBE" we spoke with Head Interpreter Onkelos bar Jason who had this to say:

"Creating THE SCRIBE was a very difficult task. Let's take my English title for example. In Lashon HaKodesh I am known as Rosh Targum Onkelos bar Jason as you are well aware. Now, in order to properly translate this into English we had a number of options. We could have chose, chief translator, head explainer, lead interpreter, or any number of combinations and permutations! It is a simple fact that the English language cannot properly encapsulate Lashon HaKodesh, the Holy Language that God used to create the world. So you see we had a lot of difficult choices to make."

Concerning difficult choices, the office of Rabbi Shammai II Father of the Great Court had this to say:

"We understand the reason's behind the Great Court's decision to allow this paper to be produced. We further understand the decision of our King Matthias Janneus in allowing this to go forward. However, as mentioned during the debates we worry that, by creating this paper, we have given in to the licentious world. The language spoken in Menassa and the language in which the main paper is written is the Holy Tongue of the Sacred One Blessed is He. By creating this paper, it is possible that we give the impression to the foreign nations that we are attempting to be like them. And as it says in the Torah [HEBREW TEXT REDACTED] "When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations." And what does it mean [HEBREW TEXT REDACTED] giveth thee? It means thee and not them."

"This is Exactly Why We Launched the Drone"

In yet another unprovoked show of violence, Sunrisian naval forces shot down a drone launched by the Rezuan Navy. This drone was flying over international waters when it was shot down, as the Sunrisians have admitted. The Sunrisians also said that they made no effort to figure out the drone's intentions, they simply shot it down. It was even stated that they were "mostly" sure it was Rezuan. Their validation for this attack is that the drone had Rezuan markings. The Rezuan Navy says that it has been justified in tailing the Sunrisian Navy with drones, showing that their navy will indiscriminately attack a Rezuan on sight.

In response, Parliament issued a condemnation of the Sunrisian Navy, calling it "a grave danger to the safety of the world." First, the Sunrisians had no idea it was a Rezuan drone. They saw Rezuan markings on it and opened fire. Any one could paint Rezuan symbols on a drone and parade it around as ours. Any nation could be trying to puppeteer a conflict between us. Just like before, the Sunrisians did not attempt to make radio contact. Evidence of the Albatross's final radio transmissions receiving no answer from Sunrisians are just proven more true. Before asking for intent, before confirming without a shadow of a doubt, the Sunrisians struck at us. This drone was tasked with monitoring the movement of Sunrisian warships, since the last fleet was able to enter Rezuan waters without resistance or proper spotting. This drone was not armed, as it was simply a reconnaissance drone. This is exactly why we launched the drone, to gauge Sunrisian willingness to attack Rezuans at will. They have proven to have no moral restraint at attacking us without provocation.

Debate in Parliament over whether or not to reject Sunrisia's new terms of trade where battled over. Prime Minister Ana Leonart fought against declining the offer. She said that she simply wants the Rezuan sailors returned home and that rejecting this offer would not bring them home. The prime minister stated that,"I want this exchange to be done in international waters. If a Sunrisian warship is detected within 100 kilometer radius of our cargo transport carrying the prisoners, we will immediately scramble fighters and call off the exchange. Let this also be a warning to the Sunrisians. Twice they have threatened us. Once have we answered. We do not retaliate this time, not because of weakness, but because we believe in a peaceful resolution. It is left to the Sunrisians to prove this. For we shall not stay our hand the next time."

Despite the acceptance of the prisoner exchange, the prime minister and the empress have authorized the movement of the Sixth Naval Response Fleet to sail to the Isles of Soril. Exact numbers will not be released to protect our sailors, but the estimate is between twelve to twenty-four ships. Eye witness accounts claim to have seen the nuclear supercarrier RIN Christina Everen moving out to sea from Saint Claresburg with four escort ships to link up with the Sixth Naval Response Fleet coming form Kurzera. On the topic of Princess Christina Everen, the princess took off from the Eomerian Strategic Air Superiority Base in an armed fighter jet with no less than eleven other jets. Officially, Parliament stated that the princess will be training pilots from the Isles of Soril personally, as well as assisting in air-to-air and air-to-sea war drills. CITY OF DAN, TRIBE OF DAN - In the capital city of the Tribe of Dan a group of pagans were discovered just outside the northernmost gate of the City of Dan. This is the first arrest of a pagan group in Menassa since Matthias Janneus ascended the throne. The Scribe's local Dannite correspondent Uri Ben Chur is reporting on scene.

Around five days ago, two witnesses came forth to the Lesser Court in the City of Dan stating that they saw a group of individuals practicing pagan rituals in a grove to the north of the city. After interrogation, the validity of the witnesses was established and the Lesser Court established contact with the Great Court in Yerushalayim sometime later that afternoon. Four days later, the Great Court in Yerushalayim responded with a writ of arrest which was forwarded to the Dannite Tribal Police. The Tribal Police, after consulting with an expert on pagan affairs arrested the group while they were amid foreign worship.

It appears that the groups leader is a man by the name of Nevuzaradan the Aggagite, he was discovered with a group of forty-five other individuals. In the grove, which is about one days-path or ten parsahs from the nearest highway, the group had planted trees to their pagan goddess Asheirah. Initial reports stated that the trees appeared to have born fruit a number of times, which indicates that they were either imported from some unknown location, or they had been planted at least a years time prior. Shortly after the individuals were arrested, the Asheirah grove was burned.

The forty six individuals arrested were taken to the City of Dan central police station and were questioned. After questioning, it was discovered that forty of the individuals were Resident Aliens (including their leader) and five individuals were of Menassan descent, three Dannites and two Ephraimites. It appears that these five Menassans were with the group of their own volition and were not under duress because at time of reporting, all forty six individuals were sent off to the Great Court for trial. It is assumed that the Great Court will pursue the death penalty as is the established punishment for idolatry for all individuals residing within the borders of Menassa.

This is the first publicized arrest of pagans in Menassa since King Matthias Janneus took the throne ten years ago. There have been rumors that the new King's regime was lax on enforcing idolatry laws because of the regime's "progressive" policy of allowing immigration into Menassa by thousands of foreigners throughout the region. The Head of the City of Dan's Lesser Court had this to say about those rumors:

Whatever your personal opinions are about our King's regime it is clear that he is not forgiving of the pagan problem.

Older Menassans may remember that King Menashe II lead a military incursion into the Tribe of Dan in attempt to root out the last vestiges of paganism there. Virtually all the arrests of pagans during the reign of King Menashe II had some link to the region in which the tribe of Dan inhabits, and for many, it was believed that the administration in the province was inclusive of pagans. There were even rumors that the King's Mighty Guard would oversee the day-to-day policing of Dan if the downward spiral continued.

New Vesvai’s Interior Ministry has sparked a conversation within New Vesvai’s Parliament about increased security measures on the border with the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. This is related to the activities of armed guerillas on the other side of the border and combat actions taken by Union’s armed forces in the area. That military action can affect New Vesvai as a neighbor. This is also linked to the informational campaigned launched by Union’s informational sources based on Vesvai island about New Vesvai’s link to guerillas. This is seen as informational warfare against New Vesvai which could help justify unpredictable aggressive action by the Union against New Vesvai. Interior Ministry encouraged MPs to discuss legislative action. It might included expanded authority and professional liberties of the border guards and an even larger role of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army in border policing. A lot of attention has been pointed to the border wall as a guarantor of security but that construction has always been shown to be a protection of land border. At most maybe the aerial border too. But there’s no shielding of maritime boundaries and that’s where not only cruise ships could come. Even cargo ships if there was any trade between New Vesvai and the Union which New Vesvai is not interested in establishing. But hostile navy can always have an opening on this front. So the Interior Ministry’s note on border protection has encompassed more than just land but also the skies and the sea obviously.

Confederal Ministry of Public Health says that Daredland is safe from the Novell Illness

President of the Daredi Confederation Hans Receni has asked the Confederal Ministry of Public Health of the Daredi Confederation to account for the situation with the Novell Illness. The Condeferal Ministry was asked to say if the virus risk in Daredland is high and if the threat of its arrival from outside is high. The verdict was that Daredland is safe from the virus. It has not reached the nation’s borders and there are no reported cases. Daredland took action to close the nation to the level that could prevent the virus coming over to Daredland. They were taken as preemptive measures and appear to be working so far. The government says it intends to keep them. Confederal Minister of Home Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Karl Weiß called neighbor Kleinaruscha. Many Englean ex-colonies and current colonies or overseas territories have been affected by the virus. Kleinaruscha falls in the category of the Englean associated nations but the Daredi government hasn’t been closely observing the situation with the virus over there. It could have improved or worsened. The Confederal Ministry of Home Affairs says that the absence of control over the territories occupied the self-declared Weniges Reich and likely absence of a border between the self-declared Weniges Reich and Kleinaruscha can make those Daredi territories most affected. The self-declared Weniges Reich and its special relationship or de facto control by the Englean state also means that the virus could come to the self-declared Weniges Reich from the colonial center in Ventismar. The rest of Daredland could be affected from that point. So the Confederal Ministry recommends keeping a tighter control of the demarcation line between Daredland and the territories under the control of the self-declared Weniges Reich. Especially until there’s some clarity with how the Weniges peace plan will go which includes a demilitarization of the demarcation line. Weiß is still standing by his personal suggestion that Daredland should build functioning customs with the territory. But that has been rejected by many Daredi officials as the first step towards recognizing the separation of the self-declared Weniges Reich and its claim over those occupied lands. The Confederal Ministry of Home Affairs said that the self-declared Hasperan Republic was also a zone of risk where virus could come through. But with the start of the ACREFOR operation there that risk has now been nearly nullified with the precautions taken.
