Dissidents From Vesvai Set Up The National Liberation Committee Of Independent Vesvai In Perloveu

The dissident community of Vesvaians from the former Dominion of Vesvai and the present day Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai who have moved to New Vesvai, have set up not just a political movement but now a complementing governing body. Leaders of the National Liberation Movement of Vesvai which was created after the formation of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai have now set up the National Liberation Committee of Independent Vesvai. It is chaired by Acido Soran a dissident Vesvaian activist who is one of the founders of the National Liberation Movement. Based in New Vesvai’s capital Perloveu the National Liberation Committee describes itself as an alternative government of Vesvai, not counting New Vesvai, in opposition to the local government of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai, and the Union government overall. By name the National Liberation Committee calls for the same thing as the accompanying National Liberation Movement. The goal is the restoration of Vesvai’s statehood and its independence from the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. Moreover the National Liberation Committee and the National Liberation Movement also advocate for renunciation of Vesvai’s colonial past by opposing Vesvai being part of the Rhodeve Commonwealth. The National Liberation Committee describes itself as Vesvai’s government-in-exile similar to how the Socialists of Baggnagia have recently set up a government-in-exile. Except the National Liberation Committee does not endorse the coup that the Socialists orchestrated to come to power and largely don’t support the ideology itself.

The National Liberation Movement and new National Liberation Committee have received endorsements from other political dissidents and immigrants who moved to New Vesvai from the former Dominion of Vesvai and the Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai over political repression there. One of the famous voices from pop culture who endorsed both structures was the singer Aculeus originally from the Dominion of Vesvai but now having lived in New Vesvai for a long time. He even said he will join the National Liberation Movement. Fellow musician J.O. has also endorsed the National Liberation Movement and new National Liberation Committee. But she has so far not spoken about joining the movement because she has lived in what today is New Vesvai her entire life and has little association with the territory that was the Dominion of Vesvai and today is Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. But she has not said no either. And these are just two of many famous artists, intellectuals, scientists, activists and other people who have aligned themselves with the National Liberation Movement and new National Liberation Committee in one way or another.

New Vesvai’s Deputy Prime Minister Nikau Pasvecal promised sanctuary for the National Liberation Committee as a foreign government-in-exile based in New Vesvai. But he also clarified it did not mean that New Vesvai was switching recognition to the National Liberation Committee as the government over the other half of the island. Despite animosity Aurisi is still recognized as Vesvai’s local government and so is the Union government of Oblaren and Vesvai. Deputy PM added that New Vesvai’s will forever be open to dissidents from the other side of the border but today’s situation with the virus around the world is also challenging that openness even to fellow ethnic Vesvaians coming from another sovereign state.

Union Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal Says Dissident Body In New Vesvai Has No Legitimacy Or Authority In Vesvai’s Part Of The Union Of Oblaren And Vesvai

Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai Jonathan Mollisal has come out with criticism towards latest occurrences on the island of Vesvai. He verbally attacked the newly created National Liberation Committee of Independent Vesvai based in Perloveu, New Vesvai for its claims of being an alternative government-in-exile of the nation of Vesvai, except for New Vesvai. It presents itself as an alternative to the local government of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai and to the Union government overall. The Committee is associated with and created by the same dissident emigrants who are behind the National Liberation Movement that opposes the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai and calls for Vesvai’s independence.

Union PM Jonathan Mollisal said this:

“[T]his is probably the last statement I will make like this because of the office I hold. I’m the Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai so my statements are to be a product of a unanimous position of Oblaren and Vesvai. Before I say anything it must be agreed upon between both peoples of the same Union. But I will make this statement individually from my current office because it concerns my home island.

The emigrants from Vesvai who have moved to New Vesvai have the right, I guess, to oppose the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. They want an independent Vesvaian state. Well that’s in the past so they didn’t like it and left. We don’t keep people locked in. Although the current situation with the virus does partially force us to take measures. But it’s unrelated to political views. So in that sense we don’t have a problem with the National Liberation Movement or whatever they want to be called as long as their expat club doesn’t intervene in our internal affairs or become militant. But the National Liberation Committee that they declared is a completely different story, my friends.

That Committee is declaring itself an alternative government of Vesvai in exile. They claim to be a replacement to our legitimate local government on our part of the island and to the Union government in its entirety. Now that’s a national security and sovereignty threat. These people are nobody, elected by nobody and they have no legitimacy or authority in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. And wouldn’t you know they’re based and operating from Perloveu, New Vesvai. How surprising. I wonder whose money this structure was created with. No it definitely wasn’t New Vesvai’s or their MDAA curators.

Point is this Committee are a bunch of nobody’s and traitors. If they have illusions that they will be used as an instrument by whoever’s controlling them and we know who, to infiltrate us they can think again. We will be on the lookout for them but we also shouldn’t fear them cause they won’t do anything. We won’t let them. All legitimate governments whether local or Union-wide are here in the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. There are no alternative governments or governments-in-exile. They can call themselves whatever they want but they don’t exist. I’m done talking about them because I don’t want to give these people free publicity. They’re an outside instrument aimed against us but they won’t achieve anything. It’s just a decoration and an instrument of psychological warfare on us.”

National Assembly Establishes Quarantine for Incoming Travelers

Jamestown Ippolit Andrey and Alexander Karev, leaders of the two major political parties in Ophion, the Ophioneus United and Unity Coalition, have passed the PVAX-20 Prevention Act. The bill, crafted over the past few days by the majority and opposition leaders, provides a wide range of funding measures for The Department for Foreign Trade and Commerce and The Department of Science. In total, 20 million Ophelia have been earmarked to establish quarantine zones and provide medical equipment to boarder agents.

The bill gives the President and the Executive Council the ability to reserve hotels near major transportation hubs into the country, like airports, seaports, and land boarders, as quarantine zones for all incoming travelers into the country. Many health experts are concerned about the lack of information about the virus. "Simply, we do not know how it spreads, its death rate, or its genetic sequence. Due to its alarming incubation period of 23 days, many experts agree that any reaction to new cases will be delayed. "This is a delayed feedback loop. Once it is here, we will have no way to effectively play catch up," Commissar Nata Agafya told reporters at a press conference prior to the bill's proposal. "Without effective testing, the only way to ensure those coming into the country are not a risk is by isolating them."

Under the Act, the President has the authority to mobilize the Republican Army to assist isolation centers with food, housing, medical care, and transportation. Due to the military's equipment to deal with biological and chemical warfare, it is seen as an available resource to assist with isolating those potentially sick. Supplies and trucks coming over land boarders will be driven to their destination by military logistic trucks, which will be modified to carry civilian truck cargos. Those that come into the country will be allowed to return home, or carry cargo out of the country. This includes pilots and ships. All non-essential travel, including travel to the country's warm water resorts from international locations, is prohibited.

Despite this stunning display of unity between the two parties, a second bill, PAVX-20 Tracing Act has stalled over Coalition fears of invasion of privacy. The bill would attach travel and testing records to GovID records held by the Ophioneus government. This could be used for 'contact notification' for those that may have crossed paths with a sick individual. Currently, the Department of Science is asking all those that have traveled outside the country within the passed two months that become ill to report to their health department and provide detailed records of their travel for the passed month. Unity delegates say that by using already collected data, such as phone records, and providing public releases of known whereabouts of ill patients, contact tracing will be more effective.

President Io's administration has called on nations with confirmed cases to release the genome of the viruses. "It is disappointing and criminal that these governments have not made this academic information widely available to researchers. Without it, we are unable to produce tests and begin trials of a vaccine. Indeed," Press Secretary Varfolomei Varlaam told reporters in response to the passage of the legislation. "It puts millions of people at risk for petty, ideological battles and prevents nations from taking narrow, effective measures." The Secretary stated that if tests of those coming into the nation could be conducted, isolation of all people into the country would not be necessary.

Indeed, the stock market of travel industries and export-import related industries noise dived after the introduction and swift passage of the legislation, hitting the 7% circuit braker and halting trading until Monday, 4/20. Several economists state that without financial help from the government, these strict measures could cause tourism, food, travel, and other industries to collapse.

Territories occupied by the self-declared Hasperan Republic are becoming fully deserted

The land seized by the self-declared Hasperan Republic is becoming a literal desert. Ever since the proclamation of the break-away entity and its secession from Daredland people have been fleeing from there consistently. The flow has only been increasing over time. Right now that land is approaching the state of becoming a literal desert. Citizens from there are moving to the rest of Haspera since under Daredi control and other parts of Daredland. The allies of Daredland in MDAA and SOWEFTA have also opened their door to refugees from the self-declared Hasperan Republic. People from there are fleeing the oppressive regime controlled by the local Hasperan oligarchy which declared independence of the self-declared Hasperan Republic from Daredland without asking the opinion of the population there. The self-declared Hasperan Republic has only been known to the rest of the world for its scandalous public execution of a large group of political and civil opposition members there. The self-declared Hasperan Republic is also known for seceding from Daredland without violence unlike the self-declared Weniges Reich which used armed force by militia there and Englean military support to secede from Daredland. That is pretty much the only things that the self-declared Hasperan Republic might be known for there.

Confederal Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation of the Daredi Confederation Franz Potesinan have declared Confederal Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced People of the Daredi Confederation Andrea Färber have declared that those territories are ‘dying.’ Even with the deal reached with the separatist leadership there to send humanitarian aid it’s still not enough to keep those territories afloat. And even then there’s no guarantee that all of that humanitarian aid is being used properly because the self-declared Hasperan Republic is controlled by a corrupt secessionist oligarchy. Everything goes through them. Obviously another major factor is that the self-declared Hasperan Republic is under an economic blockade by Daredland as an unrecognized entity occupying lands of Daredland’s Haspera region illegally. Daredland also opposes any nation’s recognition of the self-declared Hasperan Republic as independent or creation of diplomatic relations or trade with them. That would be seen as a hostile act against Daredland. It’s unlikely that the self-declared Hasperan Republic will receive recognition, diplomatic ties, trade or any aid from the Kaiserlich-Controlled State of Engleberg or from the Island Territory of Belantica because of the Hasperan secessionist leadership’s dislike of both. In fact the self-declared Hasperan Republic declared independence when it thought that Daredland was becoming too close with the Englean state and was on the verge of being annexed by it. The secessionists justified their actions as saving as much of Haspera as they could by separating it from Daredland before Daredland get annexed by the Engleans. They also saw Daredland as a collapsing state anyway and largely accused the Daredi past and present governments of not handling the Weniges issue properly which also fueled Hasperan separatism. Island Territory of Belantica once sought to become involved in the Hasperan issue and turn it into a Belantic-backed separatist entity like the self-declared Weniges Reich is primarily an Englean-backed separatist entity. But Hasperan animosity towards the Engleans and ITB made that virtually impossible.

Today the territories controlled by the self-declared Weniges Reich are at least enjoying sponsorship and development aid from the likes of the Engleans and ITB. So those territories are at least not denying while outside Daredi control. The self-declared Hasperan Republic is completely cut off from the rest of the world and has no trade or investments coming from anywhere. As an unrecognized entity it’s blockaded and nobody is sustaining it apart from themselves which they’re unable to do as an unrecognized entity with no outside ties. Originally as a pan-Corentian nationalist entity the self-declared Hasperan Republic looked to the rest of Corentia and hoped that it would be supported over Englean-leaning Daredland. But nations in MDAA and SOWEFTA supported Daredland’s territorial integrity. The self-declared Hasperan Republic and the self-declared Weniges Reich have both seen Corentian rejection. But the self-declared Weniges Reich has foreign sponsors and the self-declared Hasperan Republic is entirely on its own. That’s why the territories under HR’s control are dying and turning into a desert with people fleeing. Soon only secessionist oligarchy there will be the only ones left in those territories and that might not even be the worst option for them.

Radical voices in Daredland have called for the use of military action to finally save the dying territories under HR’s rule from death. But Daredi government fears its Corentian allies might not support such a move. The position is also not unanimous in Daredi government itself because many oppose force as a tool to return control of territories under the occupation of the self-declared Hasperan Republic. That includes Confederal Ministers Franz Potesinan and Andrea Färber.

HSAO “Hunting” For RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus Vaccine: Sunrisia Willing To Accept Foreign Patients

The Orentan-based Health and Scientific Advancement Organization (HSAO) is actively working on a vaccine for the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus as instructed by the Sunrisian government. The organization’s goal is to possibly create a vaccine not only to cure the current 21 cases of RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, but also to release to the world, so that those infected overseas could be saved as well. HSAO started working on the vaccine when the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus first arose, progressed when more information on the virus was released from other sources closer to the illness and finally accelerated that production, when the first case of an infected Sunrisian humanitarian was reported in Baggnagia and then the virus was inevitably brought over to our country’s borders. HSAO, including other medical organizations, scientists and military medics not associated with HSAO or each other, are all working towards isolating the virus gene to advance vaccine research, among other steps being taken.

Meanwhile, Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vénî Adsécĕr declared alongside administration colleague Minister of Health of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Anímâ Sálûs that Sunrisia is willing to accept patients from abroad, regardless of a “political relationship” or lack thereof that Sunrisia might have with the country of origin of the patient. That includes willingness to accept patients from Rezuan Kurzera, Englean Kaiserreich and its’ overseas territories, as well as from Belantica. Without much surprise, the offer has been extended to Baggnagia as well, which has been easier to make, given a different level of relationship that both countries have.

Weniges peace plan presented, mass protest resignations from the Daredi government, deal reached on an international mission in the self-declared Hasperan Republic

The LPM-led government accused of being “immobile” and practically not having moved Daredland from a dead end since coming to power is trying to prove everybody wrong. Undoubtedly it was pushed to do so after the fiasco at the MDAA summit, the plummeting approval rating and an increasing popularity of the opposition. Not only is the LPM coalition trying to do at least something but it’s trying to make revolutionary steps that no other Daredi government has been able to make. That includes governments in the pre-Flaming Revolution Daredland and afterwards.

Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Zina Fenstermacher has come out with an unprecedented peace plan for the Weniges dispute which was worked out by Daredi diplomats with the help of Sunrisian special envoys for the Daredi–Weniges conflict. The current plan has had more of a Daredi authorship behind it since admittedly there haven’t always been agreements on it with Sunrisian colleagues. The Confederal Minister presented the plan at the meeting of the Confederal Cabinet first after asking President Hans Receni to call up the meeting. She then went to United Confederal Assembly. Fenstermacher presented it separately to the lower house National Council and to the upper house Council of States. After all of the Daredi government got to hear about it the Confederal Minister finally went with it to the press.

“The Weniges peace plan we have presented proposes the de-militarization on both sides of the conflict and switching any possible military personnel with non-combat peacekeepers. It proposes the de-militarization of the territories under the control of the self-declared Weniges Reich, disarming of militia there, allowing unarmed Daredi observers into the territory for the first time to make sure there are no Weniges militia or invading Englean armed forces occupying the territory. Once there are no combat forces there would be the positioning of joint Daredi and Englean peacekeeping forces side by side throughout the entire border of the territory controlled by the self-declared Weniges Reich. These joint forces would conduct an observer mission to protect the territory and make sure there are no weapons or troops coming into this territory neither from Daredland, Kleinaruscha or anywhere else. It would become a de-militarized territory under the protection of Daredi and Englean peacekeepers.

The militarization of the demarcation line between the Daredi Confederation and the self-declared Weniges Reich would end. Daredi Konföderaleswehr would withdraw with all troops, weapons, tech, etc. It would no longer be a frontline. On the Daredi side further from the demarcation line there would be four different units of peacekeepers stationed. This time it would be Daredi and Sunrisian peacekeeping forces also for an observer mission. None of the peacekeeping forces, Daredi, Sunrisian or Englean would be equipped heavily enough for fighting and would be there at most for a policing function.

We are enthusiastic about this plan and hope for it to be supported by the Sunrisians and the Engleans. It’s not a perfect solution but today is the best one we can reach with the incompatible positions that parties to the conflict have. The start of the Joint Observer Peacekeeping Mission (JOPM) could also lead to diplomatic improvements. The Daredi Confederation and the Englean State could finally recognize each other’s governments, restore diplomatic relations, move towards normalization of relations, begin trade, etc. Because with today’s situation it’s still a dangerous frontline and JOPM is a perfect alternative.”

The Weniges peace plan has caused mass scandalous resignations from the Daredi government in protest to it. From the Confederal Cabinet Confederal Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation of the Daredi Confederation Franz Potesinan and Confederal Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced People of the Daredi Confederation Andrea Färber has resigned from their positions in protest. From the United Confederal Assembly First Vice President of the Council of States of the Daredi Confederation Eelco Lechner and Second Vice President of the National Council of the Daredi Confederation Felix Gudatan resigned. They jointly referred to the peace plan as ‘capitulation’ and ‘legalization and even support for the Englean occupation of Daredi soil.’ These resignations have left a number of vacancies in important Daredi government offices.

On the other frontline the Hasperan one things had gone by a little more unanimously. By Sunrisian proposal the Daredi government and the Hasperan separatist oligarchy leadership have reached an uneasy but ultimately successful deal of deploying an international peacekeeping taskforce there. It’s mission would be to help sustain and police the region which has been completely depleted by the blockade and isolation. The peacekeepers would also help repatriate the displaced people back to their homes in the territory controlled by the self-declared Hasperan Republic, give humanitarian supplies and medical help, make sure there are no human rights abuses by the Hasperan secessionist leadership like it was before. The clause of policing the Hasperan leadership’s corruption dealings has been left out from public knowledge. The mission would be carried out by an ACREFOR taskforce with peacekeeping forces from MDAA full members, associate members and select outside partners like West Zilveren Berg.

Sunrisia Deploys Its’ Share Of Geared-Up Peacekeepers To The ACREFOR Mission In The Self-Proclaimed Hasperan Republic In Daredland

The Department of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia has announced that the Sunrisian share of peacekeepers for the ACREFOR mission in the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic is heading out for its’ destination. The early party of peacekeepers that had already prepared for the mission, geared-up additionally with masks, respirators and other protective gear in order not to spread the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus outside Sunrisian territory or put fellow peacekeepers from other countries at risk, have already deployed. The remaining ones are still getting ready, as the deal on the ACREFOR mission in the territories under the control of the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic in Daredland, has only been reached by the Daredi government and the Hasperan separatist leadership today and also announced today. It could already been yesterday by the time we finish this report, according to our local time.

An international ACREFOR mission with peacekeepers from MDAA full member states, associate states and the alliance’s partners, will be aimed at supporting the territories of western Haspera, a region of Daredland. The western territories of Daredland’s Haspera region have been famously cut off from the rest of the country after the local authorities there declared independence on their own and proclaimed the so-called Hasperan Republic on that land. The procedure was illegal, as the secessionist authorities did not even both to imitiate like they had asked for the consent of the people living in those territories. The self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic was not recognized by Sunrisia and our country upholds support for the territorial integrity of Daredland. The self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic, more specifically its’ so-called leadership, was condemned for human rights abuses, especially after the infamous public execution of a number of opposition figures there. Unlike the self-proclaimed Weniges Reich, the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic had been completely cut off from the world and has never received any aid like the self-proclaimed Weniges Reich has been from the Englean Kaiserreich first and foremost. The self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic has rejected becoming a satellite for overseas powers, projecting a Pan-Corentian nationalist and isolationist attitude. However, not having found support from any country in Corentia so far, because everybody has sided with Daredland, the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic was left completely cut off from the world. Yesterday, or the day before by the time we finish this report, the Daredi government declared that the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic has “virtually become a desert”, because people have left those territories. Sunrisia has also opened its’ doors for people coming from territories under the control of the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic.

ACREFOR’s mission will be to help make the territories of the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic appropriate for living, without questioning its’ political status or the legitimacy of the separatist leadership there, as that is going to be a question meant to be decided on and settled by future negotiations. Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia stated that individual sanctions on the so-called leadership of the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic will remain in place. This will be an uneasy compromise and difficult conditions to function in, however, it is not like the Hasperan separatist leadership has much of a choice for the sake of human life, the parties involved have agreed to help save those territories, as the further blockade will not be a problem solving tool.

The United Confederal Assembly has voted in four vacancies that were left within the Daredi government after a series of top resignations in opposition to the Weniges peace plan. Yesterday Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Zina Fenstermacher presented the Weniges peace plan as a compromise that could settle the Weniges issue for a durable time. It could also serve as potential for reestablishing Daredi–Englean relations if the plan is followed through with and each step is taken in order. This caused mass resignations from the Daredi government by officials who said that this plan is ‘legalizing Englean occupation of Daredi territory years after their initial invasion.’ The officials that resigned were: Confederal Cabinet Confederal Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation of the Daredi Confederation Franz Potesinan, Confederal Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced People of the Daredi Confederation Andrea Färber, First Vice President of the Council of States of the Daredi Confederation Eelco Lechner and Second Vice President of the National Council of the Daredi Confederation Felix Gudatan. The Confederal Cabinet and the United Confederal Assembly were left with four big holes that needed to be filled up or fixed.

Opposition Klare Sicht (Clear View) Alliance which has been brutally criticizing and even said to be conspiring against the LPM-led government has sat behind a negotiations table with the governing coalition and negotiated a truce apparently. The government has voted in replacements for these vacated positions from that very same Klare Sicht (Clear View) Alliance which has proposed its candidates. Christoph Mäkler from the Party for Central Approach (PCA) has become Second Vice President of the National Council of the Daredi Confederation. Markus Thill from the Social Liberal Party has become First Vice President of the Council of States of the Daredi Confederation. That’s for the United Confederal Assembly. For the Confederal Cabinet Fulgencio Brunner from PCA has become Confederal Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation of the Daredi Confederation and Tobias Schuster from SLP is the new Confederal Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced People of the Daredi Confederation. President of the Daredi Confederation Hans Receni has welcomed the new Confederal Ministers into the cabinet.

The PLFWCD coalition meanwhile is threatening that the four resignations from the government are not the only political strategy they plan to take. It apparently was only the beginning. Parties of the PLFWCD coalition are threatening to surrender all of their mandates that they received as a result of the previous elections and exit the government entirely. By doing so the PLFWCD coalition promises to become a major opposition force against the current Daredi government that it has technically been part of so far. But until they actually do so it’s too early to speak of the government’s collapse say the experts. GU coalition meanwhile attacked their sworn rival PLFWCD by reminding of the corruption cases against the previous PLFWCD-led government that are being investigated by the Office of Attorney General. In that same ‘message’ to PLFWCD the parties of GU coalition have sent congratulations to the Klare Sicht (Clear View) Alliance for their achievements by receiving new mandates. It’s not a secret and is not denied that Klare Sicht and GU seemed to have become unofficial political allies with both being leading forces of the Daredi political opposition. The difference is that the approval rating of Klare Sicht leaves GU hoping for better luck.

Divisional General Zbynek Fiala turns over Military Council Chairmanship to Captain General Alexej Reitzik

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Chairman of the Military Council of Baggnagia Divisional General Zbynek Fiala has turned over chairmanship of the military government to Captain General Alexej Reitzik as successor. Captain General Alexej Reitzik was inaugurated as Chairman of the Military Council of Baggnagia in today’s ceremony. It was made up of three steps. The ceremony at the Military Council included a formal exit of Divisional General Zbynek Fiala from the position, a transfer procedure and finally an acceptance of chairmanship by Captain General Alexej Reitzik and his accession to office. Divisional General Zbynek Fiala held chairmanship of the Military Council shortly after power was reclaimed from the Socialists who seized it in a coup. Fiala took over because the natural candidate Lt. General Radoslav Meier turned it down. Meier was Chairman of the Military Council of the former South Baggnagia and was briefly Chairman of the succeeding Military Council of Baggnagia after reunification before giving power over to the Constituent Assembly prior to the Socialist Coup. Divisional General Zbynek Fiala was the leader of the post-war and pre-reunification military government of the former North Baggnagia. Lt. General Radoslav Meier offered Divisional General Zbynek Fiala for Chairman of the Military Council of Baggnagia after turning the position down himself. Fiala and Meier intend to remain members of the Military Council and officials in the Baggnagian military government.

Egress Alliance (EA) Calls MDAA And SOWEFTA “2 Necessary Evils”

Egress Alliance (EA), an electoral bloc holding the most seat in the governing coalition at the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, is causing some controversy at the parliament. The EA political alliance has once again, loudly and proudly, voiced its’ stance that the organizations like MDAA And SOWEFTA are “2 necessary evils” for Sunrisia, the countries involved in them and for the region.

Member of the Convet from the Egress Alliance: “Do not get our alliance of parties wrong. We are no traitors. We don’t like the Englean Kaiserreich, we don’t like ROVAA, we don’t like the Rhodeve Commonwealth, we are pretty sure that we don’t like the Ventismarian Defense Council. We don’t like globalization and international organizations or supranational unions in general. However, the dislike for the aforementioned “alliances” is on another level. In fact, that is what makes our alliance flexible enough to recognize that MDAA and SOWEFTA are the “2 necessary evils” that Sunrisia will have to be involved with and support until the international situation changes one day.”

By comparison, this is probably the nicest thing that the Egress Alliance had to say about both MDAA and SOWEFTA. The EA supports Sunrisian withdrawal from MDAA and SOWEFTA and a constitutional amendment, which would prohibit Sunrisian membership in any international organizations, including USA, which Sunrisia is not a member of anyway, or any possible international or multilateral organizations or agreements. EA is in favor of keeping the basic “necessary” relations strictly on a bilateral basis.

EA got attacked for its’ stance by a fellow coalition member – the Civic Nationalist Sovereignty Bloc party, which is the political party that Convet Speaker Flórên Infána is a member of, as we had reminded of many times in the past:

Member of the Convet from the Civic Nationalist Sovereignty Bloc: “Normally, we would say that any political party in the government and in the opposition has a right to its’ position. However, what our coalition partners in the EA are saying is irresponsible. MDAA and SOWEFTA are a framework government the cooperation, trade relationship and the security of Corentian democracy. They create a vital platform for our part of the world. MDAA alone helps protect culturally, mentally and otherwise unique Corentian democracies from external invasion, incursion and influence, while SOWEFTA helps keep all our countries self-sufficient and self-reliant. EA’s position is basically going against the values and the ideology of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia written in our Constitution, do not forget about that. And statements like that can make our allies worried and our enemies bolder and ready to test us.”

Without directly mentioning EA and its’ statements at the Convet, the Dîlectên administration found it necessary to reaffirm Sunrisia’s commitment to MDAA and SOWEFTA through the words of Vice President Césâ Gáûdĕr, who did not mention outright that the statement was being made in relation to what the EA political alliance said, but the timing and the “coincidence” is more than obvious.

Military Council’s tightened lockdown aimed at preventing new virus cases

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Novell Virus cases in Baggnagia are presently 75 total. It went from 20 which initially felt like a big enough an alarming number. But the jump from 20 to 75 makes the initial statistic pale in comparison. It also makes it clear how lucky Baggnagia was by comparison in that situation than in the current one. The additional 55 cases appeared during the events of the Socialist Coup. This includes the coup itself and the follow-up military operation to retake power from the Socialists. All of that done while the nation was supposed to remain on a formal quarantine. The Military Council of Baggnagia became alarmed that the number might approach a 100 and cross into the double digit territory. This would make Baggnagia an exceptional case on the continent of Ventismar. The only other nearby territory comparable by numbers is Kurzera which belongs to the Rezuan Empire. That territory is suspected to be the place where the virus came to Baggnagia from because of proximity. And even then Kurzera has fortunately only 50. Baggnagia now exceeds it by 25 cases. The rules of closing land, sea and air borders of Baggnagia were never changed since they were first declared before reunification. They remained that way since. The events around the coup made it difficult to uphold those laws. But with order restored the Military Council says that the closing of Baggnagia will remain and be better enforced. But the military government could also consider a tighter lockdown and stricter quarantine and self-isolation requirements in Baggnagia. Optimistically the prognosis is that the Baggnagian healthcare system can take care of the 75 patients so far. They could not only be helped in improving their state but possibly even brought to full recovery even if the vaccine formally doesn’t exist yet. The Military Council’s strategy is if the firm lockdown from outside and inside is preserved then the spread will be stopped a 100%. And the 75 patients that are already sick will be helped indefinitely with all attention and resources focused on them. Combining strict quarantine and maximum aid to the patients is expected to help flat-line the rising curve of the virus statistic in Baggnagia. Ideally even after the nation is virus-free Baggnagia may have to keep itself closed until the international situation with the virus improves too. The illness has been confirmed in the nearby mainland of the Englean Empire so Baggnagia is in a tough position geographically between Kurzera and the Englean mainland. That will only motivate the nation to uphold and enforce stricter rules that are all related to combating this disease.

Tragedy on the High Seas

This morning, there was a hostile exchange between Rezuan Naval personnel and a fleet that has been identified as being of Sunrisian origin. During this exchange, The RIN Albatross was struck by a missile and was sunk. Eight Rezuans were killed, twelve are missing, thirty-five were taken captive and others managed to escape. During this exchange, RIN Seagull[i] rushed to attempt to help as well as two squadrons of Kestrels. This attack has sent locals into a panic, protesters outside of the presidential building demanded Rezuan warships be sent in haste to augment the tiny fleet stationed in the Sorilette Isles. As of now, the RIN [i]Helen Lizabont and two of her sister ships are on their way from the Klain Imperial Naval Base in Kurzera. Listed below is an account of what occurred this morning.

At eight in the morning, the RIN Albatross was making its rounds on its regular patrol. There was a heavy mist obscuring the horizon, greatly reducing visibility. Captain Tyler Malson reported all clear and ordered for business as usual to continue. Not thirty minutes later, Captain Malson radioed for permission to open fire on a fleet of unidentified warships. Ensign Andrew Gibble, a survivor from the Albatross explained what happened just before:

I got a ping on our sonar that there was an incoming force. Sometimes we pick up a couple ships. You know, cruise ships and cargo ships. We weren't worried but I kept my eyes peeled. Then when they didn't alter course we tried to radio them but they either didn't receive or didn't acknowledge us. Then they came into view, a small fleet of warships. We radioed them again, warning them that they were going to enter Rezuan waters. They ignored us again, so we followed proper protocol. Captain Malson ordered us to fire a warning shot and we did. The unidentified fleet didn't alter course. So again we radioed them. Once this failed, captain asked for permission to open fire. A squadron of Kestrels was sent and another littoral was diverted to help us. But before anyone got there, we were lit up. Our close in weapons systems knocked two or three but we got hit by a missile in the side.

After the Albatross began to take on water, she tried to flee towards her home harbor, while returning fire. Yet even then the small littoral patrol ship was sinking. The crew took to the life boats, with the assailants quickly gaining on them. These attackers stopped to pick up those stranded in the water but was prevented from claiming all of the survivors when Kestrels appeared on sight. The aircraft harassed the warships with air-to-sea missiles and then escorted the sailors in the remaining lifeboats to the RIN Seagull. Why they were not chased is unknown. Confirmed by Lieutenant Abigail Weber and later drone and satellite images, these warships were Sunrisian. It appeared to be a small fleet guarding an aircraft carrier. The carrier did scramble fighters but did not engage the kestrel squadrons that appeared on sight.

Imperial President Audwin Celwan has placed the isles thousand strong garrison on high alert and has scrambled various interceptors and the remaining littoral and coastal defense ships. In a press conference, President Audwin said that Sunrisia has committed an act of war and has called for a meeting between himself and Sunrisian officials to discuss a formal apology, reparations, and the return of Rezuan sailors.

After the unfortunate event of a violent confrontation between a Rezuan ship on a regular patrol and a detachment of ships now known to have been from Sunrisia, His Majesty and his Minister of War Johannes Steinmann announced the following in a press release earlier this morning:

The actions of the government of Sunrisia and her people are completely and totally unjustifiable in the enlightened age in which we live. To think that a modern fighting force, with all the modern peacekeeping methods we have, would so brazenly and defiantly ignore all of them and go directly to opening fire on a ship well within its bounds is completely uncalled for and must be met with an immediate response of the highest order. With that in mind, we have formally come to a decision to deploy a naval force to reinforce and assist the Rezuans affected in any way possible. We have also reached a unanimous agreement to momentarily open the Strait of Good Faith to allow those in the Strategic Ventismar Defense Council within the Gulf of Paajarvi access to the Lutentian Ocean in order to more efficiently assist the Rezuan Navy in it's efforts to reestablish control.

The decision to open the strait has had its detractors, with one anonymous critic claiming that 'The decision to open the strait so publicly is practically inviting the Librirans to wreak havoc on the friendly vessels entering the strait, although Minister Steinmann clarified in saying the 3rd Fleet tasked with the security of the strait will remain in position, just that the entry requirements will be greatly reduced.

At this point in time, the ships involved is unknown, although it is widely believed it will be spearheaded by the Cruiser TNS Queen Natalya, and supported by numerous Thor-class Destroyers, Milotic-class Frigates, and City of Karkksa-class Corvettes. We intend to bring more information as it becomes available.

Sunrisian And Rezuan Naval Clash Breaks Out Near The Isles Of Soril

A fleet of the Sunrisian Naval Forces on patrol in the international waters at the Northwestern Hemisphere, was assaulted by Rezuan warships deployed from its’ overseas colonial possession in the region – the Isles of Soril, also called the Sorilette Isles. Rezuan media presented it as Sunrisian incursion into the territorial waters of the Isles of Soril, to which our “trespassing ships”, carrier and accompanying ships included, were given a warning over a radio to turn back. The lack of response and ignoring of the warnings prompted a warning shot to be fired and that is when the Rezuan positions were unjustly hit by a missile in their own waters. Rezuan RIN Albatross was sunk, 8 were killed. Moreover, 12 are missing and 35 taken prisoner by us, according to what the Rezuan media presented as reality. Rezua’s Imperial President Audwin Celwan accused the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia of an act of war and is now pushing demands for a meeting, an apology, reparations and a return of abducted crew members.

Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vîsár Inpétăs obviously had to address the issue:

“The other side’s account of what had happened is manipulative and alters certain details or keeps others out. Sunrisian positions faced Rezuan aggression, while on a legal patrol strictly in the international waters, wherever it might be in the world. We make sure not to trespass. It is just that a lot of countries had adopted this sneaky strategy to either expand their maritime boundaries more into international waters or keep them the same, but still throw trespass accusations to justify their pirate-style attacks. A lot of these empires also still possess their overseas territories and colonies to give them an excuse for increased international presence and power projection in other parts of the world, including military bases further away from their actual home. I am not talking about the territorial integrity of any country right now, I am just saying how it is. It is not even my function to address borders because that is for diplomats.

As for what happened near those isles, there was no trespass, there were no warning shots. That is fabricated information. Our service personnel in the navy came under attack straight up, while in the international waters, and acted in self-defense. They are always cautious, when patrolling near overseas possessions of Rhodeve Commonwealth countries or the Englean Kaiserreich. There is tension there every time because something could happened every time. This time it happened and our forces did what they had to.”

Minister of Security Vîsár Inpétăs ended his statement before he could be asked to comment if there were any Rezuans in Sunrisian custody.

Meanwhile, at the Convet, lawmakers from the Civic Nationalist Sovereignty Bloc party had something to say regarding this naval skirmish and not just them:

Member of the Civic Nationalist Sovereignty Bloc: “What an unpleasant coincidence. You know, this is the kind of time when we need to stay united, so I am just going to make this one final statement at the expense of our coalition partners at the Egress Alliance. Remember your statements undermining MDAA and SOWEFTA? And how we said specifically that this might provoke or tempt our enemies into testing us? Well, there you go. There is your example right here with what happened at the Sorilette Isles. However, thanks to the brave navy officers, the aggressor is made to think twice, thrice or more times before making their move, so our full trust and confidence bases itself on them these days.”

Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Esécăs Abstántâ had an indirect response to the demands of Rezua’s Imperial President. No names were mentioned:

“Sunrisia has nothing to apologize for. Our naval officers were unjustly attacked in the territorial waters by the forces of an empire that sees too much of this planet as its’ own backyard. They’re not the first, not the last, not the only one to have that kind of an attitude or outlook, because they see the world through their own unique goggles. It is true that 8 Rezuan officers were killed, however, if they had participated in the attack, then there is not anything else you can expect to happen to you. If they acted boisterously in a certain way and acted on their own understanding and conscious choice to harass our navy, then they got what was coming. If they were just pawns of the empire they work for and were “just following orders” and not acting independently or being fully sure of what they were doing, well these casualties are unfortunate.”

Opposition Klare Sicht (Clear View) Alliance holds another big rally with supporters in Freihat

Opposition Klare Sicht (Clear View) Alliance has assembled another big rally of supporters in Freihat. This time it appears larger than the previous one. It was attended personally by all key members of the Party for Central Approach (PCA) and the Social Liberal Party (SLP). This rally was held in celebration of the alliance’s recent political success in the Daredi government. With mass resignations of officials from PLFWCD who held top offices in the government the LPM recognized the popularity of the opposition. Klare Sicht were invited to fill vacated seats in the United Confederal Assembly and in the Confederal Cabinet. As of recently the Daredi government now has Second Vice President of the National Council of the Daredi Confederation Christoph Mäkler, First Vice President of the Council of States of the Daredi Confederation Markus Thill, Confederal Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation of the Daredi Confederation Fulgencio Brunner and Confederal Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced People of the Daredi Confederation Tobias Schuster. All are either members of PCA or SLP and all attended the rally to speak to supporters. They declared that the LPM-led government has recognize Klare Sicht as a major political force in Daredland with a large voice that needs to be heard. Klare Sicht has basically pushed PLFWCD out of the government because all the seats and offices that the opposition alliance filled were of PLFWCD officials who resigned. What is more Klare Sicht seems like it’s ready to take over for PLFWCD fully because PLFWCD threatened to surrender all of its mandates, leave the government and go into the opposition even though the coalition took second place in last elections. All of this linked to its dissatisfaction or outright anger with the Confederal Foreign Ministry’s plan for a Weniges peace plan where the Englean Kaiserreich plays an ‘illegally’ big role. If PLFWCD vacates the government Klare Sicht is openly saying that it’s ready to take over for them. But PLFWCD might not be the only ‘targets’ because the coalition is not holding onto power. It’s ready to openly leave its position in the government and go into the opposition for its stance on issues. The LPM coalition is presently leading the Daredi government. It doesn’t look like it would like to leave that leadership behind. But Klare Sicht is starting to overcome LPM in the approval ratings and could very well continue to climb the political ladder further. Klare Sicht has a chance to oust LPM from the top of the hierarchy and LPM has probably recognized that. It seems like it because LPM is now associating closer with this opposition alliance and giving it a larger voice in the government since PLFWCD has started distancing itself. But if it were all to come to elections today it’s highly possible that Klare Sicht could end up at the top. So LPM is only safe until the next elections or until Klare Sicht fails somewhere and LPM succeeds somewhere. Probably LPM could also consider itself lucky if its government doesn’t get ousted by a scandal like the last government led by PLFWCD was.

Rezua Abducts 29 Sunrisian Navy Officers: Convet Votes On A Rezua Embargo

Sunrisian embargo on Rezua is now official de jure, not just de facto. Prior to today, the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia was closed off from trade with Rezua de facto, although no official sanctions on that country had been in place. However, it is now one step away from becoming law. Convet unanimously approved a full embargo on Rezua, with the exception of Sunrisian exports of food and medicine there, according to the Sunrisian “embargo tradition.” Medicine was especially singled-out in the age of the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus. This was the first legislation, where lawmakers of the current Convet have been so unanimous, governing coalition and opposition included. The approved bill has gone to President Addél Dîlectên, who has yet to sign it into law. In an earlier statement, the head of state said it would be signed by him “indefinitely.” That way, Rezua will finally join its’ ally Englean Kaiserreich in the list of countries embargoed by Sunrisia.

The embargo comes in response to the Rezuan abduction of 29 officers of the Sunrisian Naval Forces. This happened in another naval clash between the countries, following the one that happened in the international waters near the Isles of Soril, the Sorilette Isles, a day ago. This second clash happened close to the island of Oblaren, belonging to the Oblaren and Vesvai Union. Oblaren and Vesvai Union and Rezua are allies, so now it is not surprising to have Rezuan forces pop up there, but an ambush there was not expected by our forces. A Rezuan submarine attacked a Sunrisian warship with a torpedo. This was a second time the Sunrisian Naval Forces came under a Rezuan attack in international waters, since the last attack, near the Sorilette Isles, was also carried out, while Sunrisian ships were in the international waters.

The embargo on Rezua has gone to the President and awaits his signature. However, that is not the only legislation aimed at Rezua that is reportedly at the Convet, awaiting a vote. That second legislation is said to be on a formal declaration of a state of war between Sunrisia and Rezua. The state of war legislation was supposedly prepared after a National Defense Council meeting, which President Addél Dîlectên called up, but did not speak a lot on publicly. One of the things that the passage of such a legislation would do, is give a POW status to any officers on both sides that were abducted or might still get abducted. Right now, they are just hostages without a status. However, that would not be all, because the declaration of a state of war would enable a lot of other clauses that would normally be outside of international law.

After attacking and sinking a Rezuan vessel in Rezuan waters, the Sunrisian government has denied any wrongdoing. Additionally, they have denied taking any Rezuan sailors prisoner. This claim of deny is made against realty, as photographic evidence from drones and satellites show Sunrisian vessels scooping Rezuan sailors out of Rezuan waters to take hostage. And if those ships were taking those sailors prisoner, they had to cross into Rezuan waters to do so.

An attempt by Imperial President Celwan to demand the return of sailors, repayment for the sunken vessel, and an apology were met with dismissal by the Sunrisians. They stick to their claim that a tiny patrol littoral would open fire on a carrier fleet. The sheer stupidity of such an action is either ignorant of Sunrisian leadership or a direct insult to Rezuan military strategy. The fact of the matter is that a Sunrisian fleet singled out and sunk a small coastal defense vessel. It had no chance of winning the engagement, only a hope to slow its attackers and flee. Only Rezuans were killed in this engagement, sailors equipped for anti-piracy were preyed upon by Sunrisian military personnel. The Sunrisians even had the audacity to say that those killed "got what they deserved", as if defending one's home in a hopeless battle could be anything but heroic. This morning, half of those declared missing were found dead around the wreck of the Albatross. Their bodies were recovered and examined. They had been severely injured by an explosion and had bleed out or drowned, too weak to survive in the ocean. Among those dead are two saliors with duel Rezuan and Rhodeve citizenship. Rescue ships and planes still comb the seas looking for the remaining missing.

In response to this blatant attack on Rezuan and Commonwealth lives, Supreme Admiral Sir Edward Grigsmar authorized the nuclear submarine RIN Josef Everen to torpedo a Sunrisian vessel around the Straits of Oblaren. Sir Edward explained that since the Sunrisians would not acknowledge that they'd stolen Rezuan sailors, the only way to get them to admit it was by having something equally value to trade. As the Sunrisian vessel sank, the Josef Everen surfaced to rescue the injured and stranded sailors from the ocean. These prisoners are, unlike those Sunrisia took prisoner, being granted the protected status of Prisoners of War and will be treated fairly and humanely.

Additionally, Empress Ymira has made an official proposal to the Sunrisian leadership:

Two unfortunate events have taken our two nations into butting heads. While I regret having to use force against your vessel, I must not allow the Rezuan nation to be threatened without repercussions. Some might believe we have gone soft, since we have not engaged in military campaigns since the end of the Fourth Bohin-Moleston in May of 2017. This is not the case at all. The past decade saw a loss of Rezuan live that almost made up a quarter of the total military personnel lost in the Second Global War. Our economy fell into recession, our nation fought to retain sovereignty from certain nations who refused to remove military assets from our borders when the fighting was done. We were attacked after we stepped down from a confrontation and forced into an uneasy surrender. Yet despite all of these, our spirit remains unbroken. Rezuan GDP has recovered and we have extended our good will programs beyond just out own borders. We gave out aid to those suffering even while we still were. Our people cannot and will not be broken. When our lives get harder, we shoulder more weight.

This does not mean that we relish in hardship. With a history as ours, we have paid dearly to learn the cost of becoming a nation able to project onto other nations. Our influence has enriched those nations who we've touched. The Rhodeve Commonwealth has grown along with us. Our former enemies, the people of Kiez, are now friendly to us. The people of the Bohin now know what a man-made lake can provide for them, a more peaceful future.

I would strongly advise the leadership of Sunrisia to reconsider the actions they are about to take. Working with the Rezuan people is far more productive than declaring war on them. Not only will countless lives be saved, but cooperation leads to productivity while war leads to ruin. I ask that the Sunrisian leadership comes to Eomeria to meet with me to discuss an end to this tension. I would like to have a prisoner exchange as a sign of goodwill before this meeting officially starts. We can discuss specific terms of this exchange in person, but forefront in my mind is an agreement to avoid future armed conflict with more transparent communication.

If we work together, we will be able to see a peaceful solution to this tension. It takes two to communicate though, I need your agreement in this.

Meanwhile, Rezuan allies have been authorized to send personnel to reinforce the Isles of Soril while Rezuan forces are still being mobilized. Four hundred marines have been airlifted to the isles to assist the thousand strong garrison. Local citizens have been asked to volunteer for supportive roles until further help can arrive. Additionally, the Winged Lilies have been deployed in the Isle of Soril to act as recon and interceptors against further attacks. These aces are famous for their critical efforts in the Bohin as well as their prowess against the Tsarist terrorists on multiple occasions. West Zilveren Berg Considers Joining ACREFOR Peacekeeping Mission In Haperan Region, Daredland: Also Ready To Be A Mediator In The Most Recent Escalation Of Sunrisian–Rezuan Military Tensions

Chief Secretary of the State of West Zilveren Berg Faas Van Hoebeek addressed the Senate and the House of Representatives with two important addresses. In those addresses, he publicly voiced the foreign policy plans of West Zilveren Berg that were agreed upon by the cabinet, the Senate and the House of Representatives. This address was made before members of the Senate and the House, but the head of government was speaking to the West Zilveren public through them.

The first foreign policy plan is to finally send the West Zilveren Self-Defense Forces (WZSDF) on their first mission abroad. That would be the ACREFOR peacekeeping mission in the Haspera region in western Daredland. More specifically in those parts of the Haspera region that are controlled by the unrecognized Hasperan Republic. West Zilveren Berg was invited to join the operation by Daredland which is the ally of West Zilveren Berg in the Council of 3 organization together with New Vesvai. As a non-bloc and neutrality-pursuing state, West Zilveren Berg still has the right to send its’ military abroad, if their mission is of a peacekeeper and a non-combat one. WZSDF would be joining the forces of MDAA states in this multinational peacekeeping taskforce in the Daredi Haspera region.

The second foreign policy plan is more of an intention/offer and not something that West Zilveren Berg can jump to on its’ own. The Chief Secretary said that West Zilveren Berg is ready to mediate between Sunrisia and Rezua. According to the head of government, this is the perfect opportunity for West Zilveren Berg to solidify its’ non-bloc and neutrality status by becoming an international mediator. But that is the trivial part of what West Zilveren Berg could achieve. Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek said that the naval clashes between Sunrisia and Rezua happened in areas around West Zilveren Berg, so at this point it seems like new incidents might pop up in any new spot of the hemisphere, unless there’s a full-scale war. West Zilveren Berg could be impacted negatively whether it is only a series of clashes that will keep happening or if there is a full-scale war. In case of a full-scale war, the arena would probably be larger. The final reason for offering mediation is a sentimental one. Sunrisian military officers mean a lot to West Zilveren people, who feel to be in their debt and do not want to see them hurt, neither by being further kept captive or by new clashes or a brewing all-out war. The head of government immediately acknowledged how biased this might sound, which would be in conflict with the role of the mediator, and asked the Rezuan leadership not to take offense. The Chief Secretary promised that West Zilveren Berg can show itself as an effective mediator and that Sunrisian and Rezuan leaderships can speak to each other through West Zilveren Berg.

Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Esécăs Abstántâ had to pass a message to the Rezuan imperial leadership, after the latter made another address aimed at Sunrisia. The first one was by Imperial President Audwin Celwan of Rezua. The second address was now made by that country’s Empress Ymira. The motivation to respond also came out of the wish to return the 29 abducted Sunrisian navy officers currently in Rezuan captivity.

Since West Zilveren Berg offered its’ role as a mediator between the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia and the Constitutional Empire of Rezua, the West Zilveren government was given a message from the Sunrisian side, which the West Zilveren government is going to pass on to the Rezuan imperial leadership as a middle-man. Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) Esécăs Abstántâ contacted colleagues in the West Zilveren Department of Foreign Affairs and eventually reached higher echelons of the West Zilveren government, finally getting to Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek of West Zilveren Berg, the country’s head of government. The Emissary told the West Zilveren Chief Secretary what the West Zilveren government should pass on to the Rezuan imperial leadership.

What exactly was that message is currently not part of public information. The Sunrisian side appears to have taken the approach of behind the scenes and behind closed doors dialogue through West Zilveren Berg as a self-offered middle-man. But there have been signals given by some officials in the Dîlectên administration that the agreed-upon outcome will be seen and heard by the public eventually anyway. Citizens in Sunrisia are definitely demanding answers, as just today, an anti-Rezuan march was held in Orentan, demanding for the return of 29 abducted Sunrisian navy officers. Similar protests are now being reported in cities like Ucinda, Lucera, Aestin and many others all across the country. These demonstrations, obviously, are also aimed at pressuring the Sunrisian government into getting the 29 Sunrisians back home from enemy captivity.

In case the Dîlectên administration does not make information public and provide it to Sunrisian media and subsequently to the Sunrisian public, there is going to probably be a need to turn to the news from middle-man West Zilveren Berg, where that message may be presented out in the open, unless it travels from the “hands of West Zilveren Berg” straight into the “hands of Rezua.”

Integration Completed With A Deal On Common Legislature: A Caretaker Union Parliament Will Be Formed

It can now be declared that the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai has completed its integration. Famously the creation of a Union Parliament was the last major struggle. All other steps were completed: A President was chosen, a Prime Minister was chosen, a single cabinet, a single capital city, an agreed-upon future single currency. The single court system is pretty much a reached deal too. Other single state institutions also go without saying. But the Union Parliament was a struggle. The differences in system of government in independent nations of Oblaren and Vesvai created an obstacle for forming a single parliament. But now that obstacle was overcome. A deal was reached to put in place a caretaker Union Parliament before a regular Union Parliament is formed in the future through election or some other appointment method. Caretaker Union Parliament will be made up of MPs from Oblaren and from Vesvai. The share of MPs from Vesvai delegated to the caretaker Union Parliament will come from the ruling VHU party.

Union Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal Does Not Comment On Rezua–Sunrisia Tensions

Prime Minister of Oblaren and Vesvai Jonathan Mollisal refused to comment on the escalating conflict between the Rezuan Empire and the Sunrisian Nationalist Republic. Even after one of the fights happened near Oblaren and Vesvai PM Mollisal did not declare anything. His reasoning was very simple: the Union Government has not formulated a single stance yet. This was quite surprising considering that Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal wouldn’t miss an opportunity to comment on Sunrisian actions when he was still Prime Minister of independent Vesvai and even when he was still First Minister of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. The situation is different now. The Honorable Jonathan Mollisal is now the Prime Minister of the entire Union of Oblaren and Vesvai and of the single government based in the Union’s capital Fortwel. He can no longer speak without consulting with President of Oblaren and Vesvai Russel Kelpir and the single caretaker Parliament.

Secretary Of Foreign Affairs Aart Teuling Voices Sunrisian Message Passed On To West Zilveren Berg, Meant For Rezua

West Zilveren Berg has taken on the mediator function in the Sunrisian–Rezuan conflict, which it offered to do. Sunrisian Emissary for Adversary Exchanges Esécăs Abstántâ contacted the West Zilveren government, including speaking to Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek, and passed on a message that West Zilveren Berg was meant to give to Rezua. Sunrisian government did not disclose the message anywhere and it did not look like they would. However, they were not against West Zilveren officials speaking out it publicly. There was not demand made by the Sunrisian side to keep the message secret and for West Zilveren Berg to pass it directly to whom it was meant for, while keeping the secrecy.

West Zilveren Secretary of Foreign Affairs Aart Teuling came out today to read what the Sunrisian message was:

“Sunrisia is offering a prisoner swap of 12 people for 12 people, before all prisoners are eventually returned to their respective countries. This is less than half of the total of 29 Sunrisian navy officers in Rezuan captivity and also less than half of 35 Rezuan sailors in Sunrisian captivity. This offer is in response to what Empress Ymira proposed, which was the goodwill prisoner exchange.

Emissary Esécăs Abstántâ said that there can be no talk about a meeting in Eomeria, Rezua and there is also definitely no invitation being extended to Rezuan officials to come to Orentan, Sunrisia. One of the reasons is that Sunrisia is a country in quarantine, which is why Sunrisian government officials are avoiding travel abroad to keep the disease from spreading and also from letting in people from countries, where the disease was identified to be present. The other reason was not voiced. As an alternative, the Sunrisian side proposes a video conference, where Emissary Esécăs Abstántâ would speak with Rezuan officials. In best case, scenario, the only in-person meeting possible would be in a third party state, however, the Sunrisian side noted that would be very unlikely to happen. The goal is to get the 29 Sunrisian navy officers home.

Just recently, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Aart Teuling of West Zilveren Berg has publicly voiced the message that Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Esécăs Abstántâ gave to West Zilveren Berg to pass to Rezua. The Sunrisian side offered that the first swap should be 12 for 12, less than half of the total number of captives on both sides. That message made sure to contain a mention the ultimate goal of bringing all 29 Sunrisians back home, which was a message not to the Rezuans, but to Sunrisian citizens. Even though the protests in Sunrisia following the Sunrisian–Rezuan naval skirmishes have been anti-Rezuan, they were subsequently aimed at pressuring the Sunrisian government to get the 29 Sunrisian navy officers back home from enemy captivity. The Emissary’s message had to contain that part to show the protesting citizens that the government was following their demands.

However, the interesting part about this publicly voiced message from the lips of Secretary of Foreign Affairs Aart Teuling of West Zilveren Berg, is that it contains the first public acknowledgment by the Sunrisian government of 35 Rezuans being in Sunrisian captivity. So now, it can be treated as a fact, even if the Dîlectên administration still does not speak about them publicly. However, now that it is public information, they have nothing to hide and it is not like they asked the West Zilveren side to keep things in secret, because their Foreign Secretary came out to voice the message publicly. Looks like that is going to be the format used to transfer Sunrisian messages by West Zilveren officials. And it does not seem like Sunrisia asked for extra-secrecy and even embraced such an approach.

Meanwhile, Sunrisian journalists have been visiting the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, arranging interviews with separate Members of the Convet from different parties, including from the governing coalition and from the opposition, as well as with Speaker Flórên Infána. The basic questions to all of them were if they were kept in the dark by the administration about everything revolving around this particular Sunrisian–Rezuan conflict, like they famously or infamously were about the most recent military operation to undo the coup d'état by the Socialists in Baggnagia, for which the Convet was famously furious, or were lawmakers coordinated with this time. This time, Speaker Flórên Infána and other MPs said that the Convet has been kept updated on everything and coordinated with by the administration, as well as knew all the vital information from the start.

West Zilveren Peacekeepers Go To Haspera, Daredland To Join The ACREFOR Mission

Department of Defense confirmed that the soldiers of West Zilveren Self-Defense Forces (WZSDF) have gone on their first operation abroad. It’s a non-combat peacekeeping operation in a multinational ACREFOR taskforce. Not only is this the first operation for WZSDF abroad, but technically the first military operation in general, since the military of West Zilveren Berg formed just recently. West Zilveren peacekeepers were sent by the invitation of Daredland, an ally, partner and fellow member of the Council of 3, a political organization made up of West Zilveren Berg, Daredland and New Vesvai. All 3 countries also happen to be the founding members of the Council of 3. Alongside invitation by Daredland and aid to it, West Zilveren Berg is also abiding by the Security Treaty with Sunrisia. It states that West Zilveren Berg would receive military protection from Sunrisia, while West Zilveren Berg assists Sunrisia in non-combat military operations. This is one of those cases. Sunrisian peacekeepers had arrived to Daredland under the ACREFOR flag, days prior.

The West Zilveren peacekeepers with fellow peacekeepers from other countries, would be stationed in the territories under the control of the unrecognized Hasperan Republic, which has seized control and separated those lands from Daredland. That was done to nobody’s international recognition. And as an unrecognized state, the Hasperan Republic has pretty much existed under a blockade. The area has been deserted, since everybody has pretty much fled, while being left for control by the Hasperan oligarchy and self-proclaimed leadership. Cooperation with them has also not been considered because of the public executions of opponents they have committed. However, the negotiation for peacekeepers to arrive on that territory was done with them and the deal was reached with them as well. Since the territories controlled by the unrecognized Hasperan Republic saw no military action like those controlled by the unrecognized Weniges Reich, the peacekeeping mission would see less strain on it. It would be primarily a policing and humanitarian operation to save the territories from “death by blockade” and help repatriate those displaced that wish to return home.

6th Virus Patient Recovers: Minister of Health Anímâ Sálûs Talks About Quarantine

In the latest update regarding the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus, a 6th infected individual has now been confirmed as recovered. That individual was among the early cases in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, who was among those evacuated from Baggnagia. All early cases in Sunrisia were those evacuated from Baggnagia and the majority among those infected, still are. The current total in the country with this latest recovery, is 18 and those recovered is 6. These cases that were evacuated from Baggnagia were treated not in civilian hospitals, but in military medical facilities.

The announcement of the 6th recovery was announced by Minister of Health of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Anímâ Sálûs, who also spoke about how the patients are doing, vaccine research and addressed what would or should happened with the imposed quarantine:

“Fortunately, none of the recovered patients had experienced a “resurfacing” or a second round of the virus. It has not returned to any of them so far and we hope that is how it is going to be. They are doing fine and are feeling good, although the full recovery period back to normal health will take some time, especially for those, who were experiencing heavier symptoms. Unfortunately, we cannot surely and confidently say that these people have been completely liberated from the virus, because until there is a vaccine developed, they are not safe, none of us is safe and people around the world are not. At the same time, these recovered patients have developed antibodies, which should make them more resistant to a virus comeback. Moreover, they were requested to donate their blood, now that they have these antibodies, to help out in vaccine research and development.

As for the existing State of Emergency/Quarantine. Well, our Department would recommend to the Department of the Interior, the administration of the President and the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia to discontinue the strict State of Emergency. We are now in Day 18. The current State of Emergency has been declared to continue until the end of the month. We have 4 more days left after today. We recommend to instead switch to just a state of Nationwide Quarantine from the State of Emergency. It might sound like it is the same type of thing but it is not. A National Quarantine would be much lighter in comparison to the situation now. Nevertheless, our Department will still advise against opening borders. Just relax life inside the country with a National Quarantine as an alternative.”

Vesvaian Revolutionary Navy On Patrol To Guard The Coastline

New Vesvai’s government has not been too public about it before but there’s not much of a choice now. Citizens have started noticing increased activity of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Navy at sea. The vessels have been appearing in larger numbers and making rounds. Almost as if they were on patrol. It is natural to expect that the navy would guard the territorial waters but that is usually done at war time. Usually the Coast Guard as part of the national Border Guard service is responsible for that. New Vesvai is not at war officially even if relations with Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai are unstable at best. Citizens had sought out an explanation from the government.

Today New Vesvai’s Deputy Prime Minister Nikau Pasvecal came out to explain everything. He admitted to have participated in consultations with the Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army and military officials. They recommended an increased naval presence at New Vesvai’s sea borders. Deputy PM Nikau Pasvecal approached the Parliament for support. He ultimately got it but MPs from opposition parties soon started leaking information to the public that the government was not telling them the whole truth. They told citizens to be on the lookout for the sea and try to notice if anything was different. But this attempt at casting stones at the government didn’t fully work out for the opposition either. Voters pointed out how these opposition parties might be criticizing the government for secrecy but they have also still supported the Deputy PM’s request to back increased naval presence.

Deputy PM Nikau Pasvecal explained that this action of increasing the navy’s activity was directly linked to what is happening between Sunrisia and Rezua right now. The most recent armed clash between both navies happened near the island of Oblaren, Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. Technically that still happened in the neighboring state even if it was a far-away territory. While the clashes have happened in the upward part of this part of the world it has jumped more south. New Vesvai’s government concluded it can happen just about anywhere and New Vesvai must take in-advance defensive precautions.
