TRT is proud to invite you back to the wonderful nation of Talvezout, for the 79th Worldvision Song Contest! This is Talvezout’s 6th host bid for the contest, after bidding for Worldvision 43, 45, 48, 62, and 70, and hosting 45, 48, 62, and 70.
After being a regular competitor from Worldvision 35 onwards to Worldvision 51, TRT was forced to withdraw from Worldvision 52 due to a mixture of budget cuts and political strife. Talvezout’s participation would be spotty from thereupon, with the nation only competing in four more contests (56, 61, 62, and 63), before returning in Worldvision 70. However, due to another round of budget cuts, TRT was unable to field an entry - even when Talvezout was hosting the contest itself. TRT elected to take a break from Worldvision 71 in order to perform some re-organizing and re-budgeting. After managing to secure an annual stipend from the Talvezian government, TRT returned with a roaring vengeance, fielding entries in 72, 73, 74, 77, and 78, with the archipelago nation placing in the top ten twice.
TRT decided to field a host bid for Worldvision 79 to showcase the new revitalization of Talvezout. The political strife and budget issues of the past are no more - Talvezout is now firmly in the 21st century. With a new government pushing for human rights for all, and with a proud history of fighting for what’s right, TRT is proud to bid to host the 79th Worldvision Song Contest.
Phoda - A History Lesson
Phoda is one of the youngest of the voithitikí póleis, or the auxiliary cities (capital of each province in Talvezout); the city was established in 1903 as a military settlement by the Talvezian Army. Due to the surprisingly harsh weather of the city (Phoda, and by extension, Ya’Qub are all heavily battered by ocean waves and wind, plus harsh summers and freezing winters) the settlement was abandoned in 1907. In 1909, a rogue group of socialist hermits, artists, writers, and spiritually minded people started squatting in the settlement. The city slowly made a name for itself as the unorthodox city of Talvezout, and by the 1920s the city was very much the center for Talvezout's underground political and art movements.
When the constitutional crisis of 1954 occurred, Phoda became a hub of anarchist violence. As the city always had a fierce independent streak, the growing discontent of the nation only fueled the city’s independence. With the arrival of the Mávri Seirá Imiselínou (Black Crescent Faction), the city quickly became the center-piece of the “Years of Lead”, a period from 1954 up to the early 1990s. During this time, Talvezout as a whole was buffeted by political violence from all sides (left-wing, right-wing, anarchist, centrist, religious, you name it). The city had frequent shootings and bombings, culminating in the constitutional crisis (yes, there was another one) of 1996. The city was shelled by the Vóreia Praxikópima (Northern Coup), a remnant of the neo-fascist North Talvezout state. Phoda was held under siege until the final defeat of the VP in 2000, leaving the city in a bloody and ruined mess.
Still, the people of Phoda refused to let themselves be destroyed by the violence. The city quickly rebuilt itself, with Phoda hosting the 56th Talvezout E Mouzeh Song Contest in 2004. Nowadays, Phoda is a beautiful and vibrant city, home to a wide variety of arts, cultures, foods, and crafts. Phoda truly is the symbol of our nation- an unorthodox and violent past, yet with an optimistic and beautiful future just up ahead. Simply put, Phoda represents the best and brightest of Talvezout.
What to do in Phoda?
While you’re in Phoda for Worldvision business, why don’t you take some time off and explore the city? Phoda, like the other major cities of Talvezout - San Marcos, Ylfa, Yaru-Bzheriut, Gaçe, Kalonoù, etc - features quite the wide diversity of cultures and peoples. You can get North Talvezian breakfast (a pincho de tortilla, or cafe con leche) at the Southern Market in the morning, see some Prehistoric Talvezian Art in the Museo de Arte Antiguo at noon, get some South Talvezian lunch (how does psomí soúpas kai síkalis, or potato and fish pancakes with hearty rye bread sound?) and finish the day by seeing a First Nations performance of choúla archaía.
The prime attraction of Phoda is the Old City, formed of the remnants of the various “cores” of Phoda. The Old City is bordered by the imposing walls of the former military settlement that made up the city back in the 1930s. Various sites of historical importance - the Old Fort, the Castillo Temple, the College of Military Arts - are all located within the Old City. The settlement is also home to a wide variety of shops, restaurants, museums, and libraries. Most of the restaurants here serve North Talvezian styled food (think paella, jamón talves, ernsaïmades, flaó), all remnants of the military legacy of the city.
Accommodations and Transport
For those who are more practical - minded, you may be wondering - how am I going to get around the city? Well, worry not, as the Department of Transportation Services has you covered. The Ya’Qub branch of the DTS offers a wide variety of transport options for the Worldvision fan on the go
.
Fans and spectators can arrive to Ya’Qub via plane or boat. Maya Air will be offering a special deal for all Worldvision aficionados - half off on all flights landing at the Patrica Morgen International Airport in Phoda. With aquatic travel, ferries will dock at the Port of Phoda, only 1 kilometer away from the hosting stadium.
Within Phoda, a wide variety of options are available. Phoda Metro buses and light rail are available for free, with Ya’Qub heavy rail costing 6 tavares ($7 or £5.38). These options service all of the city of Phoda alongside the outlying environs, including stops at the Patrica Morgen International Airport, Port of Phoda, Campo B, the Phoda Exposition Grounds (home of the Worldvision Village), Hotel Olympiad (where the delegations will be staying) , and the Old City. Wherever you want to go, Phoda Metro has you covered.
As for accommodations, don’t worry. A wide variety of hotels around Campo B will be offering special discounts for anyone who presents a valid Worldvision 79 ticket while booking their stays. In addition, all of these hotels are serviced by the Phoda Metro bus system, so you don’t need to worry about paying a dime to get to the stadium.
As for the national delegations, TRT has decided to accommodate them all at the beautIful Hotel Olympiad, located on the beautiful Pinna Beach in Southwestern Phoda. The historic beachfront hotel has hosted presidents, prime ministers, royalty, celebrities, and charity drives - most notably, it played host to the first 25 editions of Talvezout E Mouzeh. The gorgeous hotel features over 1,000 rooms, thus it has more than enough space for all contestants. TRT, in cooperation with the DTS, will also be offering shuttles to all of the delegations, from the hotel to Campo B and the Campo A clubhouse, free of charge. Multiple services will be offered at the Hotel Olympiad, ranging from room service to meals to other comfort services. We here at TRT want to make everyone feel like home, here in the beautiful city of Phoda.
The Venue and Surrounding Areas
The venue of choice is the Campo B football stadium, located in the Pavilhão Neighborhood of Northeastern Phoda. Campo B can host up to 99,354 people during football games, with the Worldvision Song Contest currently projected to bring 95,000 people to the stadium. The stadium has played host to Olympics football matches, legendary concerts, and other sporting events. Campo B is just across the street from the Phoda Exposition Grounds, a complex of multiple halls, restaurants, parks, and arenas. Campo A, a stately clubhouse located in the southern part of the Exposition Grounds, will be playing host to Worldvision in Concert and the Worldvision Awards. The area as a whole will be the Worldvision Village for this edition, with a wide variety of activities, clubs, performances, and events for any fans and delegations to enjoy during their stay in Phoda. During the actual contest, the green room will be located in Campo A, where the delegations can get ready for the contest, and relax when they're not on stage.
The Stage
The stage for this contest was designed by the famed Talvezian architect, Einar Alvarez. Multiple LED panels make up the backing of the stage, with these panels and screens being able to move vertically and horizontally. All of the LEDs will be able to display various graphics, images, and videos in 4K resolution, courtesy of the TRT Technological Workshop. The stage itself also features multiple moving platforms, which each entrant is able to configure to whatever pattern they so desire. The stage itself also supports a wide variety of special and graphical effects (including, but not limited to, holographs, smoke effects, mirrors, pyrotechnics, fireworks, fire, fog effects, steam effects, water effects, cryo effects, confetti, streamers, etc.) Multiple parts of the stage are also able to move during performances. A unique part of the staging that TRT is excited to offer this year is a floating stage - thanks to a mixture of cables and rigging, a part of the stage will be able to float and move over the audience. An orchestra and house band are also provided for all of the entrants.
The Host
Sunny Siracauso is a 33-year-old singer, actress, and writer from Qas, Zarif. She's been involved in the music business ever since she was in her teens, having been a part of the Qas Junior Theater and Qas Junior Philharmonic. From an early age, Siracauso always had a knack for music, and she has stuck with it ever since. Siracauso is also no stranger to Worldvision - she has competed for Talvezout four times in Worldvision, with her highest placing being 10th, and she, alongside Ylfa Lloviendo, hsoted Worldvision 70 in Ylfa. We here at TRT have our full confidence in Sunny, and we believe that she will be the best choice to host Worldvision here in Phoda.
Postcards and other Graphics
The postcards and all other graphic elements for this host bid have been designed by Felicette Co, an agency based in Monterra, Kalosia. TRT is proud to work with Felicette Co, to help host and prepare for this contest. As this is the first Worldvision being held in the new decade, we have decided to embrace an art deco theme emblematic of the Roaring 20s. All of the design aspects of this show will reflect this theme, from the logo down to the postcards. The postcards will be simple text backgrounds reminiscent of the design ethos of the 1920s, extrapolated to modern day design. Felicette Co has handled the design and graphics for this contest, and we here at TRT thank them rather profusely for their help.
We are super excited to bring you all to Phoda for the second time, and we hope that you will enjoy your time here in Talvezout. We hope to see you soon!

Tonight, 9 songs and 9 artists competed for the right to represent Izmedu in the first Izmepisma since the 76th WorldVision Song Contest. For this edition, we had 6 international juries lend their voices to help decide the winner. Now, it's time to find out who has won the silver edition of Izmepisma and will go on to represent the country in WV79. We are proud to reveal that the winner is...
Dijana Jurina - No Air
Winning with an astounding 131 points (50 jury + 81 televote), Dijana Jurina becomes the second person in Izmepisma's history to win the national final twice and joints the list of select Izmeduan entrants to represent their country twice. She wins with a striking 63 point margin over the runners-up, IgorIvo Izrada. On the jury side, her 50 points came from being voted on by 5 out of 6 jurors. Four of those jurors included 'No Air' in their top 2, with the song receiving two sets of 12 points and two sets of 10 points, and all jurors that voted for 'No Air' included her song into the top halves of their voting. On the televote side, 'No Air' commanded a dominating performance despite a marked downturn in domestic televoting. Collecting nearly 202,000 votes (31.2% of the vote), she gained 81 televoting points and more than doubled her nearest competitor's, Letenje & Noviostar, televote result. Following this result, Dijana Jurina has accepted the right to participate in the WorldVision Song Contest and will be entering intensive rehearsals.
The runners-up, IgorIvo Izrada, thanks voters for their support in helping the song attain a 2nd place result, which is an improvement over their original 3rd place. A formal invitation for them to represent Izmedu in the World Hit Festival has been offered, but the group has stated that it's 'unlikely' they'll take up the offer. However, they have said in a press conference to 'watch the space, who knows what might happen.'
We thank each and every international jury that voted in Izmepisma. This would not have been possible without your participation.

In a fierce edition of the Landa vy Polkopiya, the voting was one of the closest in the contest's history. At the forefront stood Stefan and Alekzandra with their song, Drink To That, which won the domestic televote and came second in the jury votes. This marks the second time that a song who advanced to the Grand Final via the wildcard slot won the entire competition and represented Polkopia at Worldvision, with the first time being at WV73 when Nikol won the Landa vy Polkopiya with her song, Graveyard. The artists have reportedly already begun their Worldvision preparations and can only reveal that their performance will be high-energy and "dancy." Not much more is known regarding the performance, so audience members will have to wait until their live performance at Worldvision in order to see what they have in store!
The next Worldvision Song Contest is set to take place in a location that is to be determined. Polkopia's entry details can be found below:
