Naobi & Camila on the set of the music video for their upcoming WorldVision song

Camila Benjaminez & Naobi for WorldVision

After an exciting night in which five songs sought to earn the chance to represent Ertzei Kishim at the WorldVision Song Contest, Camila Benjaminez & Naobi have won the right to do so, with their dance-pop song "Energy (אנרגיה) which will be rewritten for the contest. After a tense voting period, the pair won without receiving top points from any nation, but rather achieving consistently high marks from all but one of the voting nations. The song deals with themes of passion between two women who previously did not explore their sexual desires. The pair promise an exciting stage show for the contest, where bidding will take place to find the host of the next edition in the following week.

Carter Martinet is representing the island in WorldVision!

Nation Name: Saint Bernards (Commonwealth of)
Official Broadcaster: Bernardeano Broadcast Corporation (BERNBC)
Song Title: “Paradise on Earth”
Artist Name: Carter Martinet (and Instrument Group)

Tune:
Slowed Down Zeze Pretend it is instrumental. It’s embarrassing, I know.

Local singer Carter Martinet, from the Bernardean capital of Castlebrey, will be singing a reggae classic of his called Paradise on Earth, which describes the beauty of Saint Bernards. The residents of Saint Bernards like to refer this song as a ‘national anthem’, since it is a famous song known by the locals, and was published as the background song of the official tourism advertisement for Saint Bernards in 2012.

The Commonwealth will be debuting on WorldVision, with good hope of success.

So..

I have to have Fauntenheddo withdraw from the competition, if possible. It's kinda because I'm wasn't prepared on coming up with the lyrics when I got back from my trip from China. So I kinda have a bit of jet lag-induced creative drain from songwriting. I might try to finish it for WV80 instead, if the host doesn't mind. :meh:

Apologies for the late reply but, even though I'm not the host or on the council, I'll answer it. Anyway, we won't mind if you do that. Besides, you're not the first person to pull their entry out with plans to submit it for the next contest. For example, Polkopia did a national final to select his WV77 entrant but he decided to withdraw in the middle of the contest; fortunately, he submitted it in the next contest (with the IC explanation that his entrant had to withdraw due to health issues but was well enough to perform in the next one). Same thing happened with Amuaplye, who had an entrant planned for WV77, withdrew sometime after the start of the competition then submitted it for WV78. There are other examples but those two are the most recent ones.

So yeah, not an issue. It's a shame you have to pull out but here's hoping we'll see you in [wherever WV80 will be held]!

I know. It just that I usually start working on the lyrics typically before the IC thread goes up. So while I was Fauntenheddo, I tried to work on something, but I immediately got overwhelmed, despite the song being simple. Was sick during that time with a fever, so I couldn't think straight or have the right energy for it.

My overall account that I use for P2TM and even for international roleplaying! MNM is a mysterious and extremely dangerous dictatorship filled with supernatural oddities, demons, militarized soldiers everywhere, and a misanthropic nihilistic dictator who doesn't give a damn. Due to lack of creative energy and energy overall I'm afraid I'm going to have to withdraw. I was really hoping to go full 10 contests competing but it seems that's not the case. There is a 40/60 chance I'll participate in WV80 but that's TBD for now.
