Isla Saighead of the Tribe of Westmeath.
I smiled back at the grin and made to rise. "Well, then, Lugh...", I said with a smile, "...how about we put your skills to the test?"
Pina giggled at that. "Oh, he's a good dancer.", she said and glanced to Donny, "Better then a certain block of wood anyway!"
Donny shrugged. "I'm a pikeman, Pina, not a ballroom dancer.", he said.
"Might be more fun if you were both.", Pina said, leaned over and kissed her boyfriend, a quick kiss on the lips. "But you're awesome like you are..."
"We'll be going, then...", I told the couple and motioned for both men to grab their drinks and leave the two to their privacy.
Aonas Folracht of the Tribe of Wicklow.
"I am sure, that the huntsmen, who got us this chap, will appreciate your words.", Dad said with a grin, "The lads should be around. Kieran and Eoin, to my knowledge."
"Those are the two.", Ilaine confirmed with a nod, "They also model for BI... and they have rather protective girlfriends."
Auntie Isa raised an eyebrow. "Oh, is that so?", she asked, smiled, "Then I doubt, that the two ladies in question will have something against me asking the two for a little dance or two..."
"Isa...", Dad said and nodded in my direction, "...you're going to have enough dances tonight as is."
Isa looked at both women with us. "A girl can never have enough dance partners, right?", she asked them.
Macha Taise, of Cork Descent.
I smiled, especially at Joshua's gesture of reminding his little sister of her best behaviour.
"That it'll be!", Kay said with a wide grin, stretched out her hand with her fist balled to the two girls, a typical brofist, "And who knows, maybe we have a little adventure for ya in store, too!"
Fiona nodded. "Oh, the Archipelago has quite a few interesting things in store.", she agreed and looked to Joshua and Sono as she added with a wink: "Not only for adventurous little scamps!"
Juna Leibhéalta of the Tribe of Cork.
Well, time for a change in perspective, don't you think? We want to stay with the funny bits and while Finny is a nice lad, he knew, when he was out of his league and when he had to beat a retreat.
He submitted to Alex's show of affection, but if she believed, that her shiny underwear was going to impress anyone, she had a whole other thing coming.
"Yeah, will do.", Finny said, smiled at me, "See ya in a moment, Juna."
I nodded. "Hurry along, before Alex gets too many UV-rays into her eyes!", I said with a grin in Selkie, Finny snorting in bemusement.
Good.
I watched him hurry along, took a small breath and then turned to Alex, switching back to English, as I smiled. "So... you like the Archipelago?", I asked.
I knew, what she would most likely try to say and try to do, but I could play oblivious quite well, when I wanted, to.
Enya Cíochach of the Tribe of Navan.
I smiled, giggled with Lise as she revealed to me, that she was not upset about my older sister or her words - and that her boyfriend would most likely not be either.
For a moment, I wondered, if I should ask him, too... then again, my dance card for tonight was pretty full already.
Maybe. Let's see.
"So, he is a good dancer?", I asked with a smile.
Kiah Cíochach of the Tribe of Navan.
I blushed lightly at the compliment, grinned. "Thank you.", I said and meant it.
Searc, why do the good lads always belong to other lassies?
We arrived at the salad stall and before us stood the very impressive figure of Isla Stiúrthóir of the Tribe of Fingal, the Beast of Rhiannon just finishing distributing a huge portion to some lassies.
She smiled at us. "Aight, ya two, how much for how many people?", she asked with a grin, "And anything someone doesn't want?"
Leonard Rualacha of the Tribe of Wicklow.
Abhcan was certainly smiling upon us as she rested her head on my chest.
It was not a bad feeling, her body in my arms felt natural... that also answered the question of how close she'd go. I think I got the message.
She was enjoying herself and so was I.
My hand on the small of her back was softly stroking there as we danced, me not saying a word either until the end...
Aurora Alce.
Maestro nodded, took the hand.
"We'll give you payment information, but it won't be the CCVF.", he said. The CCVF was a facade, that was true, but what good was a facade, which was supposed to be clean, when there was dirt thrown at it? A dirty facade invited unwelcome attention. "I believe, that we have a deal, Siore Toschya."
The money in the suitcase would be enough for a good start, I knew that, but there would be more needed.
I looked again at...
Someone wanted to equip an army.
All that someone would need were the soldiers. We'd sell them the weapons.
Brenda Iarnród of the Tribe of Louth.
Yvain smiled slightly. "Good evening to you as well.", he said and offered his hand to Nolly, "Shall we?"
The young woman nodded. "We shall, Mister Saighead.", she said and turned to Jason and Karen. "If you'd excuse us?"
"And me as well.", I said and bowed my head lightly. "I spotted a prior engagement." Nolly smiled. She knew, who I meant and she knew, that I'd drag Bran onto the dance floor and that he'd like it. I added to Karen and Jason: "See ya around, hopefully."
And with that, we went our separate ways.
I had little concern about them finding something to do or to enjoy themselves.
Nia Sneachtúil, of Cefnffordd Descent.
I smiled as Marion introduced us, bowing my head lightly to Khalid, who returned the gesture in kind, Tea and Meave leaving it at a hearty "Hello!" and a nice "Hi, Mister Faris!"
It was not as formal, but it was not impolite.
"I am familiar especially with those two scamps.", he said at the question in the end, "These two rascals, believe it or not, model for BI, the host of this party. Milady Nia on the other hand..." He smiled. "I am afraid, that I am not as familiar with you as I should be."
"Don't worry. And just Nia is fine.", I returned, "Pleasure to meet you!"
"The pleasure is mine.", Faris replied with a smile, before addressing the entire group: "So... how about we take care of that business? A few photographs and a bit of posing and off we go!"
