Good evening, everyone and especially Western Fardelshufflestein,
WFSS, would you do me a favour and repeat Rule 2 to me? And then tell me why I ask that of you, especially in regards to your last post? Thanks.
(And before you complain, I count these paramedics as NPCs.)

Somewhere on the Beach.

Khana Amina bint-Karim.
And he collapsed, right into my arms.
While he was a massive man, I had little difficulty with manhandling him onto the beach chair. He was one troubled man, that was for certain, I thought as I made sure to make him lie comfortably.
The nurse just sighed and prepared an injection of a saline solution to rehydrate the man, but an ambulance would soon come. Once he regained consciousness, he would drink a lot, too.
"Blasted tourists...", I heard the nurse mumble, then glance to me. "But I am not telling you something new, eh?"
I nodded. "The ambulance will be here, soon?"
"Yes.", she said and pulled the bottle out of her bag as Marla returned as well. "He'll make it. It's just dehydration. You two reacted well."
I smiled at the praises, looking to Marla, who blushed.
Then the ambulance arrived - a large half-track in white with the Red Diamond on the side. Marla and I were ushered away.

Cornwall Zimmern

Cornwall had spent much of the day on leave, as had been ordered by Alastair, and decided he should set off in search of Alastair once he finished a refreshing swim in the ocean. Emerging from the cool, dynamic water, he dried himself off with a resort towel and slid his tropical shirt over his shoulders. The last thing he needed was an incidental sunburn.

He gathered his bag and hiked his way up the mounds of pillowy sand. Typically, he was a great fan of sand, but at present it was rather infuriating because he had not eaten since noon and was quite hungry. Perhaps Alastair had not had dinner, either, and would entreat him to an evening meal before the bars were officially open.

When he reached the edge of the beach, he used one of the shower stations to wash away the sand from his feet, ankles, and calves. He could not douse his bag with water, though it was sandy, as well, for it was tragically not waterproof and contained particularly sensitive items like a bottle of sunscreen and his wallet. Fortunately, most of the sand went away when he brushed it off, but this left him with the problem of getting sand all over his arm. So he rinsed off his forearms and dried them off on the towel before he embarked on his mission to find Alastair.

It was then that Cornwall was caught off guard by the presence of an ambulance.

Looking closer, he observed a terribly sunburned figure lying on a gurney with a tube sticking out of his right arm. He was clad in an oversize rash guard and swim trunks, and there were sunglasses over his eyes--

Wait. Was that Alastair?

Cornwall sprinted toward the scene, nearly crashing into two Selkie women, one of whom was missing a rash guard. "What the hell happened!?" he spluttered. His eyes widened as he watched the paramedics load Alastair into the back of the ambulance. The man was still breathing, thank God, judging by how the mask over his mouth and nose kept fogging up. "Good Gott. I leave him alone for one day and he ends up like this. When will that man ever learn?"

Alastair Kehrer

The blackness that had rushed in so suddenly did not linger for long. It soon abated, and he found himself being lifted into the air and moved backward into a confined space. His right arm stung for a reason he could not pinpoint; there was something on his face in addition to the sunglasses, he couldn't tell what, and he seemed to be strapped into something. A gurney?

"You're going to okay, sir. We are taking you to the hospital for dehydration and possible heat stroke or heat exhaustion."

A pair of gloved hands removed his sunglasses. Agonizingly bright light assailed his vision, causing him to squint. "Alastair? Can you hear me?"

He blinked sluggishly and studied the face peering down at him. "Yes," he mumbled.

Aye, it's bloody impressive consistently replying to some ten posts every few weeks. Wish that were me, especially since I do want to host a copy of a roleplay set in Ezhara (slightly outdated sumary but it'll do) but on these forums, if only I could post consistently—
Mais, this is definitely good enough for me for now. It's helped develop Kaz and Eiko quite nicely, and a part of me is looking forward to trying to write the conversation between Park and Eiko's adoptive mother, who is quite someone when it comes to, ah, dealing with him.
